And u still don't get it do u? Them selling their software everywhere is the key. If they sell less xbox consoles, so what! They lose money from the console each sell anyway. If they only sold software to just an xbox then u right but since they are not, they putting their games everywhere and making money cuz people are buying them so in that case they don't have to sell as many consoles. Their next console is probably gonna be a niche console like the ps5 pro I'm sure they fine with it
I’ve always said they need to do this but they need to make it upgradable. What if you could every 2-3 years upgrade the box. That would change console gaming. They can sell the upgrade for $300, like the series S and that would essentially be like buying a new console. It needs to be upgradeable. If they do this they would be genius and change gaming hardware forever.
Omg this would be so amazing. This would actually get Xbox a lot of new hardcore people. Because a lot of people have this compulsion to complete any brand they have. Example, this Xbox/pc hybrid, new gamer will buy any new xbox accessories, gear/clothing, etc
@ I think it would change gaming. At least from the console pov. A upgradable console I would buy. If I can’t upgrade the console/pc hybrid I would rather just buy another PC. If the could also make it simple for the average person to upgrade. Lastly, they could sell that console for 10+ years or unless tech massively changes & focus on just Gamepass and creating games.
you dont know that. And even if some of the pc players dont game like some other people who cares? People have lives man and pc is for multiple different uses anyways and thats exactly why people buy a gaming pc... to do everything you cant do on a console, not JUST game 24/7.
console players need to pay to play online...im pretty sure pc gamers dont pay more, other than building the pc. Console players upgrade to another console more often than pc players need to upgrade hardware
They should make it modular with Xbox branded upgrades. Instead of having something similar to series X or S, they make a base console/PC hybrid where you can upgrade it with Xbox branded graphics cards and more memory, etc.
I like the idea it will be easier for me to have access to everything on a console PC like and i hope it not too expensive I don’t have too worry about too much settings on a pc or laptop

The question on how Microsoft will make there money if they allow steam on the xbox is the wrong question. Gamepass is Xbox. What microsoft wants above all else is to get you into gamepass. The best way to do that is to get you to get an Xbox. Steam is the bait to get you to get the box. Second, Xbox is also a publisher of games. If they have you on gamepass and you also buy the game on steam thats a double win for them. With ABK Microsoft has 4 different publishers under the belt, they are a factory for games now, they stand to make money to sell you the games wherever you are. ABK makes them more money then Xbox so they have more to gain by selling you games on steam. The best thing for them is if you buy gamepass and also buy the game which usually does not happen for first party titles since you know they are never leaving gamepass. But if they can trick you into getting gamepass but also buying their game on steam then Xbox double dips with a 30% cut. If you play a game on gamepass, and like it and then go buy it on steam who wins? You, the developer, Xbox, and Steam. Xbox made there money by you being on gamepass (which is profitable, dont let the ponys lie to you).
