I play on an Xbox Series X and stream from a PC - a streaming/video editing rig that I just built. Through the process of this build, I realized that Next Gen consoles offer the best value in gaming because I can play in 4k at 120fps on my Series X, but doing that from a PC with enough juice to also stream would require a GPU/CPU/RAM combo that would be considerably more expensive. In my build I was able to spend $500 on an RTX 4060ti 16gb GPU that is more than enough for my streaming and video editing, whereas getting at 4080 or better that can do what my Xbox does while streaming would cover more than the price gap between the 4060ti 16gb and the Xbox.
That’s literally me, download multiple mods from nexus mods, place them into the game files/mod launcher, play for 30 minutes to make sure the mods work, quit the game
I have a Series X and love it, but I'm thinking about moving to PC going forward. I played on a PC (family laptop) many years back, but got an Xbox One in 2015 when I had the money and spent quite a bit in the Xbox ecosystem up to today. The main reason I want to switch is due to the game availability, game pricing, and performance advantages PC has. Games are much cheaper on PC and Steam has sales constantly, compared to the Xbox store where the same 200 games go on sale over and over lol. On top of that, Bethesda's games are my absolute favorite, and modding on console is either nonexistent (older games like Fallout 3, NV, Oblivion, and Morrowind) or just not anywhere close to the PC (Skyrim and Fallout 4). The Series X is a great console though, especially for $500, and it has provided me with a lot of fun for the past 2 years.
Other points too note, 1) Your PC WILL crash sometimes 2) You will waste time trying to fix software problems 3) windows updates are annoying 4) Try lazing about on the couch with a keyboard and mouse... PC's are becoming more and more annoying, and the cost is 4x that of the xbox for same performance, its a no brainer, get a pc for work, leave gaming to the consoles, let your friends waste their bank balance pixel peeping to show you how their 2 grand machine looks better on a paused driving game.
I got a gaming pc a few months ago and I like it alot, omen 45L but I have to admit my new xbox x is sweet with game pass, xbox x priced at 350-400 is a must buy, my ps5 sitting after spiderman 2 got finished.
If you have Game Pass Ultimate, you can play the vast majority of the Xbox games on your PC and it will cost you less in the long run. Which version of the Omen 45 L did you get? The specs on that pc are far better than your Xbox at this point. I recommend you sell your Xbox and stick to your PC instead. Id sell that PS5 at this point as well. The PS5 has most of its 1st party games coming to PC all the time now and its not worth keeping at this point.
I’ve had a ps5 for the past 4 years. My mates all got pcs some paid well over 3000 aud about 1700 usd. I finally got an rog ally but don’t use it then sold it for an xbox series x. I got one second hand for 400 aud like 200 usd now I can play basically everything with the ps5 and Xbox combo. Absolutely no hassles playing games or updating windows every 2 secs. It’s made me want to steer further away from pc gaming. And I just cross play cod and all of those with mates on my Xbox.
I play on a Series X for most games, it's just a lot easier to deal with and I still get 4K + HDR + up to 120Hz for most games.I grew up as a PC gamer, but the Series X is 10x more convenient and performs just as well as a mid-level gaming PC. Will that 4060 PC run 4K with HDR and 120FPS? Not too sure.
Dude the XSX does not run 4K at 120fps lol only like 1 game that requires no power to play is Ori, other than that you have to choose between 4K 60hz or 1440p 120z. And most of the time the console is using FSR2 to upscale to 4K, so you are not even playing at native resolution compared to PC (except when using DLSS). The XSX is equal to roughly a 2070 Super according to Digital Foundry, so as crappy as the 4060 is, it’s still more powerful at 15 Teraflops, compared to 12 of the XSX.
As others have said, the 4k 120 is only for games that support it--essentially few at this point. Starfield is 4k 30, Cyberpunk is 1800p 60 in performance mode or 4k 30 in quality mode, COD generally hops between 1080 and 4k and struggles to stick to 100 FPS in the 120hz mode, etc. etc. Some older games have been updated and are either optimized for 120 or use FPS boost to get there, but again, these are older games. No big new releases with incredible visuals is hitting 120 FPS at 4k on the Series X. I do love my Series X and agree that it is an incredible console, but the 4k 120 marketing is disingenuous as most games can't get there outside of older games or small indie titles that aren't very resource intensive.
@@theitechlabidk man my series x holds mw3 multiplayer/warzone, Fortnite, halo and some other games at a pretty steady 115-120fps at 1440p all day long, holds 60fps locked at 4k weather native or upscaled, I can’t speak on 4k 120 don’t have a monitor that can run it
Who else in the comments is hoping for the integration of the Steam library onto Xbox Series X? It would be fantastic and not out of the realm of possibility. Microsoft has already made it feasible to link your Discord account for communication, so having Steam on Xbox would enhance crossplay opportunities and gaming experiences.
I’m a pc gamer but right now the Xbox series x is $350 that’s hard to beat. I always tell people pc gaming is not for everyone as there is a huge learning curve and you will have to troubleshoot when issues come up and they will come up because it’s windows. Also you will have to optimize the games for your pc as games are not optimized as they are for the consoles. However, I have all three and the Xbox doesn’t get used because with games pass you can pretty much play all those games on pc.
a 4060 ti for the 8 gig is 399 and the 16 gig is 499msrp (can find cheaper models), even if the GPU cost 499, that entire build could be done for at least 500 dollars less than what its selling for prebuilt.@@giselle319
The latest game console paired up with a high end 4K television and HDMI cable looks just as good as the best gaming PC in my opinion. The difference is barely noticeable.
I wish you would’ve went a little more in depth in this, wanted to know about the pc usage experience playing on your tv with a controller like a console. 🤔
There very little quality differences. Sure pc tags higher quality but the human eye can only see so much. Dont be fooled, it wont change your experience.
I recently bought a pc and upgraded it after owning a series x since launch. I love both but owning a PC 3060 ti with a i5 12600k, the series x is pretty damn impressive for what performance you get for the price. Some games i prefer to play on my console just because it looks better and is easy.
The most superior PC thing is that it has an enormous backwards compatible library of games with infinite possibilities. Although Xbox does have about 1/4 of Xbox 360 library it’s very poor decision that most of that games doesn’t have 4k patch
Hey I just bought a CORSAIR VENGEANCE 17400 Gaming Desktop - Intel Core 17-13700K - 32GB DDR5 5600 MHz Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti -1TB SSD - Black and im new to this I was wondering if it what resolution would it be like 1080x what exactly
I tried PC gaming a while back and it sucks with all their different clients. Also often you to have deal with evasive DRM too no thanks. I tried playing Apex Legends on PC and there was players on their that were invincible. I bought the remastered version of COD4 on Steam and the game wouldn't start. I spent two hours trying to figure it including looking online for a fix but nothing worked. I got a refund then I booted my PS5 and was having fun within seconds. A few days days later I returned the RTX 4070 ($600) and got my money back. I'm happy I tried PC gaming but never again. The only thing I use my PC for is internet use/light work and emulators that's all it's good for well at least for me. I know there will be people who say it's cheaper in the long run but it's not,(those days are gone) consoles have game sales all the time. Just one component a decent GPU for the PC is the cost of the current gen console alone.
All console gaming is a scam and a waste of money. As all games are created on PCs originally anyway then thise games get detuned right down to a rubbish version for consoles to be able to handle. People dont realize console have there place...but yet even gaming laptops can fill that space over console easily. I would rather a machine that looks and sounds great with a graphics card that has more computing power than a whole consoles and a proper sound card with the best quality sound.
I have both the ps5 and Xbox x, I decided to build my computer the Xbox 1tb hard drive gets full very quickly, I haven’t use both in a while, you can customize your hardware at any time on a pc, but I can build this things is up to you, pc is better
Okay question this will be my first time buying a PC but I don't know what to get I need something that will work with 3D printing softwares and also alittle gaming on the side. I know I can get literally anything else that's probably less expensive but I kinda liked the CLX RA at first glance. But will it work for what I need. Second question, is it possible to buy this PC empty and buy the parts separately kinda like a project?
yes you can buy separate parts for your PC. but depending on the graphics card, or the APU, you need to buy something that matches the power they produce. there's a lot of sites that can help you like... build Redux. on your case... if you want to save a buck I would suggest the ligion go handheld PC or the ally. don't be fooled by the size of these machines, they are beasts!
I'm sorry but the argument doesn't hold up, I'll try to explain myself. Today the difference between a console and a PC is far smaller than that of 2/3 generations ago, today there is no perception of it being a "children's toy" and the performance it offers is very, very similar to that of a PC (otherwise we wouldn't look for the differences by zooming in on the details). What a PC can potentially offer is superior to what an Xbox can do since its release, but there is a fundamental parameter overlooked by all PC gamers... the cost. The cost of a PC of the same level is enormously higher, especially considering the costs at the time of the console's release, in fact it makes no sense to rely on the costs of hardware of the same level nowadays, which is still higher. With Xbox you can play practically all titles in 2K at 120fps and in some even in dynamic 4k, for how many people would it be worth spending a thousand euros/dollars or maybe even more up to 3/4 thousand to play in fixed 4k ? Among other things, if you want to play in 4k and you buy a computer capable of doing so, you necessarily have to combine it with a monitor worth several hundred euros or more than a thousand, shouldn't we consider it? Should we leave out 2.5 to 5 times lower consumption? the small size, the design, the portability? the truth is that for 99% of people the most sensible thing is an Xbox, I myself would prefer a top PC but it's not the most sensible thing, then obviously everyone does what they want and if you want to give yourself a gift, so be it. It's a bit like buying a Ferrari to go to work.
I went for the $4K PC for not just gaming, but also for hardcore epic cinematic music production. I'm a full-time working composer/producer on Cubase and more than a casual gamer. PC also for Netflix movies, web surfing, music streaming, discord chatting and tons of other activities. PC is a winner for me here ! And about booting up, install Windows on SSD and it will boot up before the XB.
The real question is do you want to wait months for a new console to be available to buy on a store shelf or do you want a current gpu upgrade thats faster then the new console in a few days.......i cant stand waiting months for a new console to be available. this was a key factor when i built my pc.
reason that i considered to be a pc gamer was because as ex-ps5 gamer, if i want cloud saving i have to pay min. $10 per month. which i think is a huge bull shiat. I am not sure if I will feel still safe after paying 10 dollar for cloud services, because sony seems lazy some how and clumsy and wondered if they would actually store my saved game datas properly for long period. (it would make me really fawking pissed off if i can not restore my save datas after paying 10 dollars for months or years) For steam gaming, i don't have to worry about this bull shiat, so simple tah dah ~~~ PC GAMING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you need a computer for non -gaming tasks, buy a gaming PC. If you only care about gaming, get a PS5. Xbox looks like garbage compared to ps5. If you're buying a PC only to play games you are NUTS!!!! Consoles like Sony and Nintendo are wayyyyyy better. No glitchy windows crap. You don't need the headaches. 😂
I have a gaming laptop for school and for gaming for school a breeze for gaming it’s awesome I have a Rtx 4050 with an i5 13 gen processor with 16 gb of ddr5 ram and it can do way more than an Xbox can 😊
I went from console I used for years to a gaming pc this week. Big difference, and I'm not going back to console. I've used a console since I was a kid because there really was no gaming pc, lol.
Yeah, I might have missed something but an i5 with a GTX4060 can not handle most newer games at even 60 fps on high, because they have to download their now shaders and all the other options available. i7 barely allows it. Until I ungraded to an i9 and a RTX 4090 was I able to run my games on high. Some I tried on Max and Ultra and even lost frames with ray tracing on medium. I have a 4k TV mini OLED 144hz. But you are right, it has to be set on HDR and every update (firmware) has to be installed for it to perform and sometimes updates screw up things. So you have to keep track of the updates and learn how to install old updates. But it is worth it because 144 Hz on a mini OLED at 4k is way better than 60Hz on a 1080p at 1440. If you can.
Hmmm let me think? $3000 plus or $400? Seems choice is being made for me. Thats like aasking someone if which is right for you? A Mercedes or used VW bug. I mean geez lol
What’s up Justin! I just recently purchased the Corsair vengeance and I was curious on how you transfer your Xbox games to your pc cause you mention that your one time purchase can work on this pc and I was wondering how to do it I can’t figure it out help?!😅

More precision and accuracy yet all I hear is pc crying about aim assist bruh your running higher frames, you can see further, clearer and have precise movement yet they still whine about aim assist for games designed from console for console. lol I love both but console is just less stressful. I’m not trying to move files and work on making sure a game can run after work , all I wanna do is turn on an play like the good old 360 days. Oh and God Bless you to brother🙏
i have bought 1 year membership since 2001 and have bought 1 original xbox 1 xbox 360 1 xbox 360 slim 1 xbox one 1 xbox one x 1 xbox series x its now 2024 23 years later and that would bring my grand total for my entire gaming life outside of games them selves to 3534 dollors how much your single pc cost
3:41 - How convenient you didn't mention comparing loading times in games between PC and console. I take 30 second of Windows boot time over console loading times in games. I play WWZ with my friend. She is on console, I am on PC. I wait like a minute for her to load in.
If you work all day and do other activities and only have like an hour or 2 for video games get a console. PC is more for then enthusiasts and people who want the best experience. Console has good experience too though and im sure GTA 6 will look and run fantastic when it comes out. Just boils down to the pros and cons the consumer actually gives a damn about with each platform lmao.

Considering the news with Sony/Discovery removing digital content that people purchased, PC may have better deals but it’s mostly still digital. Consoles are better for physical media, especially older gen games.
I gotta say, this was so biased it wasn't even helpful. You didn't even mention that Xbox plays Steam games now and the only comparison that matters, gaming experience, was woefully underrepresented.

Yeah my editor left it zoomed in too low on the image and I didn’t catch it. Higher up you can see more of the difference and a lot of PC gamers like the smoother not blurred motion with fast racing games. An option you don’t get with Xbox most of the time. I think consoles use motion blur sometimes to be get away with lower resolution on fast moving textures. With a monitor with a high refresh rate you really start to appreciate those higher fps. There are a lot of console games that fake higher resolution with upresing and fake higher fps with interpolation
As an Xbox Series X owner I absolutely love it but I am considering gaming on PC tho... just for the experience and to see what its like. Gamepass does work both ways ☺️👌🏾💯🎮🖥⌨️
Finally somebody in a gaming pc review video vs console. Somebody mentioned emulaters that’s one thing that drove me crazy. Having all these emulators and thousands and thousands of games ti play is why to me pc is better than console. And being able to mod your games is amazing. Some people don’t even mention mods either. I been a pc gamer for over a year now. And it’s the best experience I sold my Xbox after I got my pc and never have looked back. And I instantly downloaded emulaters started playing some classic ps2 and ps3 games

4080 is far better than xbox gpu. Xbox gpu is equivalent to a 3060 or 2070.
@@Themistocles30the xbox gpu is equivalent to a rtx 2060 super but the optimazations consoles get boost the xbox gpus performance to a rtx 3060 level
Ur not playing at 4k 120 lmao 99% of games on console don't run that and IF they claim they do it's usually a heavy dynamic resolution

Pc gaming..but i was modding my games more than playing them. Jeesh..feels good to just play and not tweak.
Omg that's usually me! I get like that with sims 4, minecraft, ark, and etc
not to mention the time to boot games and quick resume, also nowadays games like cod are at 1440p@120fps ... series x is insane value for money.

@@Chico_Amante_614it’s because we achieved having a gaming pc that can do anything
For the money you cant go wrong with the Xbox or PS5. You have spend almost triple the money to get the same performance on PC.
Don’t use windows.
@@Sijnenpru Yeah, try playing the latest games on Linux.
@@beaksaver5361 Why sell it though? It's great product and I am sure he is using it.
Gamepass Ultimate works on all devices. PC, Console, and Android.

4060 is a joke and any serious gaming rig is AT LEAST 3x the price of the consoles, regardless if its xbox or ps

However, I have all three and the Xbox doesn’t get used because with games pass you can pretty much play all those games on pc.
you lost all credibility trying to get people to buy something for 1800 dollars plus tax with a freakin 4060 ti in it, you are out of ur mind.
How much should it cost
a 4060 ti for the 8 gig is 399 and the 16 gig is 499msrp (can find cheaper models), even if the GPU cost 499, that entire build could be done for at least 500 dollars less than what its selling for prebuilt.@@giselle319

The latest game console paired up with a high end 4K television and HDMI cable looks just as good as the best gaming PC in my opinion. The difference is barely noticeable.
Dude so far I’m loving your reviews! But could you maybe put a limiter and noise compressor on your mic? It peaks a little at high volumes. 🔥
Would you say the Xbox GPU is on par with the GeForce 4060ti?
The Xbox GPU was custom made by AMD and in terms of performance is close to a RTX 2080
The most superior PC thing is that it has an enormous backwards compatible library of games with infinite possibilities. Although Xbox does have about 1/4 of Xbox 360 library it’s very poor decision that most of that games doesn’t have 4k patch
Loving my Black Friday purchase from your recommendation. Delivered and set up a few days ago and it's a beast!

You should now realise you cannot control the power of PC.

3 . 5 min in and Xbox is right for me. I just want flight sims. Will that work? In Xbox ? And hooking up a multi screen ?
You should compare a PC with the same price of the Xbox.
reason that i considered to be a pc gamer was because as ex-ps5 gamer, if i want cloud saving i have to pay min. $10 per month.
which i think is a huge bull shiat. I am not sure if I will feel still safe after paying 10 dollar for cloud services, because sony seems lazy some how and
clumsy and wondered if they would actually store my saved game datas properly for long period.

For steam gaming, i don't have to worry about this bull shiat, so simple tah dah ~~~ PC GAMING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you need a computer for non -gaming tasks, buy a gaming PC. If you only care about gaming, get a PS5. Xbox looks like garbage compared to ps5. I have a old iBuyPower windows vista and I mint be missing a part can you tell me what i mint need from my post
