Thank you! I appreciate the Sonic Pad videos. They've been very helpful. I just got a Sonic Pad this week. I had been planning to get something from Bambu Labs. This has staved that off and saved me a few hundred bucks. Still might, but I can at least hold out til' the next version 🙂
Nice video as it pretty much sums up my experience with the sonicpad. Bought one based on your tutorial videos and been happy with it. Great way to get into klipper and upgrade your printer. Did find that by using klipper on my aging cr10s pro v2 with mods worked ok, it showed the limitations of old printers so gone a bought a voron 2.4.

Would you be open to doing a video on flashing the Sonic Pad with Debian to get the full glory of Klipper? You just have such a good way with quick tutorials. :)
KAMP installation tutorial would do wonders.
I got it working on mine, mostly. Couldn't get most of the features working for some reason but I did in fact get the "per object mesh probing" main feature to work and it's awesome. No tutorials for KAMP on sonic pad on UA-cam or anywhere else. It took me quite a while to figure out that the Sonic Pad does NOT like it when you # out the BED_MESH_LEVELING stuff in the Config files, as most KAMP tutorials tell you to do. That causes an error.
I could only get the "per print mesh leveling" where it makes a detailed mesh for the size of the bed you'll be using and none of the cool nozzle priming stuff, even though I technically have all the commands and files where they supposedly need to go.
I'm sure it's not a hard thing to fix. Honestly, the trouble I had was that the none of the tutorials dealt with the sonic pad.

Took forever to update. Refused to update for days. Trying to tune esteps when now just pick the extruder... made a hell of a difference. Now if they make that part of the start up. So you can preset the x and y offsets with the sprite
Could you show how to set the touch probe values? I fallowed your videos but unfortunately it tries to probe off the bed crashing the nozzle into the bed. Love tour videos learning alot from you!
Thanks for the great videos. I had bought the sonic pad but had so many issues with mcu disconnect that I returned it and got the pad 7. It is a shame that the sonic pad has those issues. Otherwise it was a good product.

Hi Rickey I got my sonic pad because of your tutorial videos also. I was wondering if you have noticed when viewing klipper config through fluidd that it’s missing some lines of code for example the bed mesh bicubic tension.

I updated firmware on my sonic pad to latest version but Laser engraver is not showing up on the menu screen. I have an ender 3 V2. Am I doing something wrong or is the laser engraver on ender 3 v2 not compatible with Sonic Pad. Thank you.

Ricky...question. I use cura to slice. In it I can choose accel settings for various sections of print such as infill, inner and outer walls and such. Is'nt that beneficial over just setting it to one accel setting on the Sonic Pad? I set it lower on walls and faster on infill for example. Whats your opinion on this? Thanks! Great video series glad to see it still going! Running on Ender 3 S1 pro BTW.

Hello Ricky I have just come across your Creality Sonic videos having just ordered one, just wondered having watched your last video, the only one watched so far, I have upgraded my printers with 32 bit boards my Ender 3 and Ender 5 plus will this pad still work with them after the upgrades?
Hey Ricky, I followed your tutorials when I updated to my sonic pad. The only hiccup I had was when I had to go into the printer.cfg to enable the code for the BL Touch and put coding in from the Killper manual to get it to be used as a z stop. Anyhow, I no longer have auto leveling and my sonic pad never took me through the matrix setup and I have the CR-10 V3. Is this not a function the Sonic Pad has for this printer? I guess I just assumed that it could do it with any printer to map out the bed, but I do not have the option anywhere nor do I have any use for the BL-Touch to level my bed any longer, or at least None that I am aware of. Any chance you could do a tutorial on how to get the BL-Touch to actually work for leveling?

I am running into so many issues right now and I just got the ender 5 s1 sonic pad bundle, there were bed leveling issues and then I have restored to factory settings and recalibrated and Switched out the usb-c cable and it still stops mid print and keeps giving the Klippy shutdown error due to disconnect from mcu, I tried to reset my 3D printer so I can use it with out the Sonic pad and it won’t, when I flashed the firmware to use only the 3D printer and I hit the reheat, the printer Reboots and loops in restarting so it won’t heat if I try to not use the sonic pad
i recently made a switch from the ender 3 max neo to my ender 3 max. my model the ender 3 max wasn't available at the time i bought the sonic pad. but now my interface is missing alot of functions i had with the neo setup under configure i'm missing the function manual level bed for the screws, auto bed level and probe z calibration. i'm trying to solve this issue but can't seem to find it anywere . it would be very helpfull if you could explain how and why this is possible, and maybe you have an idea to solve it. thank you so far for for your time and effort of explaining alot of the pad . kind regards
Did they get rid of the IOT setting in the new updated i dont see it? I can connect to the cloud, but it will not print from the cloud successfully always fails.

Hey Rick, I just got a ender 5 s1 with the sonic pad and after I get everything set up and attempt to print and I get the error code: key 1. I haven’t seen a solid solution on how to fix this issues or what it really means but I was wondering if you knew how to fix this issue?

By any chance is there a way to delete print history on Sonic Pad? I can't seem to find it if there is.
You can do it in either Fluidd or Mainsail with a web browser I believe.

Have the ender 3v2 at present time using sonic pad. Thinking about getting a creality K1C . Since I would have to root the new printer to get Klipper, could I use the sonic pad with the K1C or does the K1C already have all the functions of the sonic pad.
You wouldn't use the Sonic Pad with any of the K1 models, they already run klipper and, when you gain root access, you can add all the same stuff and more.

You didn't mention the root account password. Have you tried using Mainsael or Fluid to access the Sonic Pad or is this already installed in the Sonic Pad?
Really disappointing there still no true root access. Can’t access directory via winscp or install scripts. Wish I had know this before buying, I’d love it if they added the feature but I’m probably returning it and just use a pi and a tft43

Hello, followed your videos on the ender 5 s1 and sonic pad. the sonic pad can't keep time. can't print multiple items at once. here's the funny thing. just the printer, i could print freecad files, now with sonic pad, no. Thinking about losing the sonic pad.
I hate this thing with a passion. Every time I've tried to connect it to my ender 3 s1, I get an error saying that klippy isn't detected and doesn't connect to the printer. I've been trouble shooting this thing since november. Customer support is underwhelming

Hi Rick great video as always. You have helped me get up and running so much faster. One question if you can answer it. Now I can use my camera with Creality Cloud but it no longer works on my web interface. If I slice in Cura or Orca slicer I can no longer have any picture on the camera, the time laps seems OK but no live video. Any idea how to fix it?
It must be something in your settings as mine shows the camera feed in Creality Cloud. Did you check the Camera Control page? You need to have Camera Control enabled and the correct USB port selected for the printer you are using. You also need the IOT option selected in the Advanced Options.
@@RickyImpey it works on the cloud but not in Fluidd any longer. It use to work fine, now that it works on Creality Cloud it's not working in Fluidd.
