The worst thing that happened to me is when I mentioned some Fathers (Ignatius, Irenaeus of Lyons), and after some time in which they emphasised the fact they only use the Bible, they listened to me...but had an app with a "parallel" encyclopedia that confirmed the JW claims, plus were borderline blasphemous about the Saints (who were murderers and generally horrible people).

Hey guys i have a question, so i was baptized in the Catholic Church, but i was never confirmed and never received the Eucharist and now i wanna return to the Catholic Church after being a Protestant for almost 2 years. What do i have to do? Do i go to confession, or do i get confirmed first? If i go to confession, do i have to confess every mortal sin since my baptism until now? When can i receive my first Communion? Thanks for the help 🙏
@@Duarteyahoo272 Glad you're finding your way back. So a lot of these questions are going to be best answered by a priest at whatever parish you attend, so if you haven't already, get in touch with your church and arrange a time to talk to your priest. To my understanding, in a case like yours if you've done your first confession before this point, you'll go to confession and confess all that you can remember since your last confession. If you haven't done your first confession, then your priest will be able to give you better instructions on how that'll go. Most likely, you'll end up doing some type of RCIA or catechism class to bring you up to speed and prepare you for first communion. It might take some time until you're ready to receive the rest of your sacraments but be patient and take your time to dive head first into the richness of the faith. Moral of the story, talk to your priest and follow his instructions it's his whole job to help you with this so don't worry. God bless you.
The Governing Body of JW teach that the church fell out after the 12 apostles died. And the great apostasy emerged and caused true Christianity to die out. They say that God restored true worship in 1919 when he chose the GB as the mouthpiece of God. If we can debunk this theology, Jws would have a hard time defending they are the true church of JC
it is kind of easy to show that they are following men rather than god their go to is Matthew 24: 45-47 to show that Jesus selected the "faithful slave" to give food at the proper time they also believe Jesus already came back invisibly in 1914. so either Jesus took over or men lead his people. and if he put men in charge - why is the doctrine always changing (often back and forth)? they try to explain that away with "new light". which makes no sense and puts god in the "deceiver"role. 2.Peter 2:1-3
In this world, if you do evil, you will be hated, and if you do good, you will still be hated. For example, even though Jesus was a good man, he was killed as a criminal. He indicated that his true disciples would be also hated because of the good news they preach (John 15:19). Therefore, it does not surprise me to see that we, Jehovah's Witnesses, are hated because of the good news we preach, which brings joy and hope. But since Jehovah is the one who established pure worship on earth as it is in heaven, and not humans, it is better to stick to his organization, even if you will be hated (1 Peter 3:17). Therefore, I am determined to stick to Jehovah no matter what happens. I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor governments, nor things now here nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other creation will be able to separate me from Jehovah (Romans 8:35-39).
No one hates you: true Christian’s feel sorry for you; dreadfully sorry. You were led away from the fullness of God, the fullness of faith, and the fullness of his true Kingdom on Earth. It’s hard to not have hard feelings for the creators of watchtower doctrine. Especially if you consider the fact that true Christian’s believe (more than believe; Know) that Christ is Jehovah God in the Flesh. From the perspective of the fullness of truth that we sit in its remarkably offensive some of the claims and beliefs Jehovah’s Witnesses hold against our Creator. But most of us just feel bad for all you, we want you to know the truth; we want you to learn the truth before you meet Jesus Creator of Heaven and Earth.

@@brianw.5230 Maybe you misunderstood them, because the word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohlʹ and its Greek equivalent haiʹdes, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; The only Catholic Bible that I know of that mentions the word "hell" is the Douay-Rheimes Bible. speaking to them 1 to 1 is one thing, but trying to converse with them on a website is torture. @FrankLee-gq8yc my question is why can't any of you just answer the question, whatever it is? "Learn how to effectively address the divinity of Christ." JWs already know about the divinity of Christ. (Isa. 9:6; John 1:1) What JWs object to is the trinity, which even the Catholic Church admits is not a Bible teaching. The man in the blue shirt says: "When I look at the Jesus of the NT, and the things that he taught about himself, as well as what the apostles taught about him, I had some disagreements with what I was taught, for example...he's not God." Okay, did the Jesus of the NT ever say he was God? Answer: NEVER. Instead, he said he said at John 10:36: "I am the Son of God." Now, how about the apostles of Jesus? Did they ever teach that Jesus is God? NEVER! They taught that he was who he said he was, the Son of God. (Matt. 16:16) And later, at 1 Pet. 1:3, Peter wrote: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." So, did Peter teach that Jesus was God? So, did Paul teach that Jesus was God? NO! 3. at the end of John 20, the apostle John wrote: "But these are written that you may (come to) believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God." (John 20:31) So, did the apostle John write that Jesus was God? NO! 4. in Luke's Gospel, he recorded an interaction between Jesus and some demons. And the demons said to Jesus: "You are the Son of God." (Luke 4:41) So, did the apostle Luke ever record that Jesus was God? NO! 5. in Matthew's Gospel, he also wrote about an encounter with Jesus. As Matt. 8:29 says: "[The demoms] cried out, "What have you to do with us, 22 Son of God?" (Matt. 8:29) So, did the apostle Matthew ever write that Jesus was God? NO! So, did Jesus ever teach that he was God? NO! Did Jesus' apostles ever teach that Jesus was God? NO! One side note. Who do Catholics say God is? The Athanasian Creed says: "[The Father, Son, and holy spirit] *ARE ONE GOD."* So, if Jesus is God, then Jesus is a one-person trinity. If not, then, the trinity is one God and that Jesus is another God. Catholics are profoundly confused. Hopefully, this will put one lie to rest.
