Im a lukewarm church hopping protestant whos been feeling more and more called and convicted towards Catholicism. My husband is very understanding but is completely agnostic which makes it harder. Please pray for me. Edit : 2/12/23 considering I get comments almost everyday on this saying you’re praying for me, I feel obligated to update you lovely people. I went to my first mass yesterday, and will be going to RCIA soon! ❤️ thank you all so much for the prayers!
Praying for you and your family. I recommend go your local church, and do adoration. Quiet time with God , and pray for his guidance. Godbless you, will ask our blessed mother to pray for you.
So you went from worship Jesus and the truth to worshiping pope and mortal people 😂 enjoy our pagan Catholic Iies ( read revelation) it exposes the Catholic Church
Dear David, God bless You and your wife. I would share this with You : By the will of Christ, the Catholic Church is, in fact, mistress of truth: its function is to authentically express and teach the Truth which is Christ [...] the disciple is bound towards Christ Master TO THE DUTY TO KNOW EVER MORE FULLY THE TRUTH THAT HE RECEIVED FROM HIM, to announce it faithfully and to defend it energetically while refraining from any means contrary to the Spirit of the Gospel. (Extract from the book “365 Days of Hope” by Cardinal Nguyen Van Thuan)
Keith Nester is a legend. In one of his talks, he pointed out that with the times we live in everyone wants a new St Francis of Assisi to stand up or a new St Thomas Aquinas to correct everyone. Keith then got real passionate and said, "Friends, God didn't put them in this time! God put you! Go be the saint the world needs today!"
@robertstephenson6806 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: AND THIS THREE ARE ONE. ” 1 John 5:7
As a Protestant I'm feeling such a strong conviction towards the Catholic Church. The Holy Spirit has opened my heart in such a huge way! I kindly request your prayers as I continue to embark on this journey. ❤
The Lord can move mountains, and sometimes we can put up the biggest mountain we have but he will move it and find you. Let him in and get to know his church. Worship him, get to know how we can spend time with him in Adoration. We will all be waiting open arms for you. Praying 4 you.
Please pray for me. As a protestant I'm feeling so many of the same emotions that Keith expressed in this video. I feel The Eucharist and Confession are the two main things the Spirit is convicting me on, but my wife is opposed to the Catholic church. I have no one to talk to about these things. Keep me in mind when praying the Rosary.
Of course! 👍🏼 And remember two things: 1. Work thibgs out one step at a time; 2. Trust in God's will. God may have a different plan for her conversion. In any case, like a fellow mentioned before me, pray for her wellbeing and her conversion. May the Lord bless you and your spouse, and help you with your journey. I'll be praying for you. 🙏🏼
I'll pray for you. As you pray for the patience for God's timing in regards to your wife. It must be a rollercoaster.. but when it comes to the truth .. God answers. We just need to trust in his timing. God bless
Even the nature of your condemnation of the Catholic Church is not rooted in the fruit of the Holy Spirit. There is no charity or compassion. And frankly, sir, you are wrong. The Catholic Church is the true church that Jesus Christ died in order that through His death, She would be born. A real question??? Why would you think that John 6 is a metaphor and not the declaration of a Loving God, who desires to be so close to us that He becomes one flesh with His children. It is beautiful and it is true. The Old Testament unfolds the Mass and the Eucharist that ultimately comes to it’s rest and fulfillment in Christ, the unblemished, sacrificial lamb. Everything the Catholic Church teaches, believes and participates in, is founded and deeply rooted in scripture and is lived out through the sacraments which Christ Himself established and commanded, even confession. May God bless you in your desire to reveal truth, but may He also give you the wisdom and courage to see what the truth is and come to believe and worship as God desires and founded and not as man established🙏🙏!!! All Glory to God!!
My husband and I have our first confessions scheduled next week! We were both baptized as infants in the church but we never received first communion or confirmation. I am 33 and he is 35. Three days after our first confession we have our marriage convalidation/confirmation/first communion together in one celebration! I’m incredibly excited and anxious all at once!!
I met Keith and his wife Estelle at a Catholic Conference in Iowa and prayed the Rosary with them and other conference goers. They are a very grace filled, kind, and friendly couple. May Jesus continue to bless their marriage and ministry 🙏
I was born into a Catholic family that truly loved the Lord but I always struggled with making that faith my own. Hearing conversion stories always makes me realize how much of a blessing it is to have been part of the Catholic church since I was born and how much I take that for granted because without it would've taken a lot more time and effort to realize that this is God's church and I want to be a part of it.
Indeed. I felt the same way too. Now I'm starting to make my faith my own, little by little, and I can assure you that my mess of a life would be 100 times harder if my family wasn't Catholic as well.
As a cradle catholic who didn’t learn much about my faith because it never interested me, I would attend mass on a weekly basis because I felt I needed to and that would put me on the good list. I fell away from the faith but still attended mass but was only physically present. Protestant pastors on tv and UA-cam helped me learn more about the Lord and want to read the scriptures but I still retained my Catholicism and would pay more attention at mass. I had the itch to take the dive into Protestantism because I liked the music and their services but once covid came, I got more and more into catholic UA-cam channels and learned so much about the richness of Catholicism that the itch went away. I still listen to some Protestants sermons and do attend a Bible study at a Protestant church but I don’t feel the need to leave Catholicism.
❤❤❤As a former Methodist and now almost 30 year convert, this made my day. Thank you. I converted after 3 years in Rcia under Redemptrists and I was warned you'll be criticized, judged, etc. Oh boy. Deep South. No regrets in converting. My Dad converted first (former Methodist preacher AND a Gideon.....he had to quit). Dad died last year. Mom converted too. I followed a year later. 1995. No regrrets. Love to all. Pints, Thank you.❤❤❤
I cried . Your wife’s testimony is beautiful. Imagine if that priest was not there at all and it was actually Jesus and He said “I have been waiting for you”. ❤ thank you Jesus.
If one thing is true among all religious believers is that they all want to know the truth. But they all cannot have the truth when they have different doctrines, different beliefs, and differents Gods while believing by faith. So what hinders them from obtaining the truth when they have both faith and prayers? After all, all things are supposed to be possible to one that believes. The answer to this dilemma can be clearly seen when one compares indoctrination (a way of thinking in which all converts have in common) to critical thinking, which is the direct antithesis of faith and religion. I) Indoctrination tells one what to think, where as critical thinking teaches you how to think. 2) Indoctrination says, "believe what you are told and do not doubt". Critical thinking says, "assume nothing, but rather, question that which you don't understand". 3) Indoctrination says, "believe without evidence". Critical thinking says, "believe because of evidence". 4) Indoctrination says, "l believe, therefore it is so". Critical thinking says, "ln the absence of evidence, judgement or decision making must be suspended until evidence is available". 5) lndoctrination says, "Truth is a matter of faith which is based on one's belief". Critical thinking says that truth is the extent to which a claim conforms to reality. 6) lndoctrination says that l can do all things because of what l believe. Critical thinking says, "Show me that you can do all things, and l will know that you are able to do all things". 7) lndoctrination says that if you don't believe as l do, then you are wrong! Critical thinking says, "We wait until the evidence shows who is right and who is wrong". 8) Indoctrination say, "Lean not on your own understanding". Critical thinking says, "Whose understanding shall l lean on if not my own?". 9) Indoctrination is that childish bully on the play ground, taking advantage only of the smaller kids. Critical thinking is that cival, humanitarian adult who has learned to treat people with respect just as he would like others to treat him with respect. Indoctrination breaks the rules of reasoning, logic, and rationality, thereby giving way to naivete, absurdity, and an unrestrained arrogance for what may not be right nor true.
@@mariobethell3731 that is what separates us from christian cults. In catholic faith you are free to leave and free to join. Number 2, testimonies are actual anecdotal facts 3. No one inside the church will bully you if you leave the faith but will just pray for you on your spiritual journey becAuse we believe everyone of us is on a “journey” to the truth. 4th you are free to learn things along the way and that is mostly each person’s experience. Growing up catholic i don’t know everything. We were just taught to read the Bible , go to mass in sundays, (they wont even push you to go even inside the family) etc and the rest is up to you. So how can you say there is indoctrination??
Yeah, but it wasn't Jesus.. It was a man . This is a slippery man made path that will NOT lead to God. יחוח, YHWH the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, Moses and the prophets of the Hebrew people.
@@terryhuffaker3615be clear of this because if not the Catechesis of the Catholic Church is clear that JESUS is a true GOD and a true Man. Died on the Cross and Resurrected. Ascended into Heaven. And will come to Judge the living and the dead. Apostles Creed.
Love this podcast. I was raised in Reformed Judaism, and I plan on joining RCIA at a local parish next week. I know the Lord is calling me to Catholicism, but I just wish I had more support from my Catholic friends. Not to be rude, but I would’ve thought my Catholic friends would’ve been more welcoming and excited in my journey towards Catholicism. It often feels like they don’t care. No one talks about the difficulties of converting to Catholicism from Judaism. It’s very isolating, and I sometimes wish my Catholic friends would understand/sympathize more with that. Thank you, Keith and Matt, for understanding the difficulty in this process ❤️
I hope you find brothers and sisters who have the Holy Spirit burning within them. I love my Jewish brothers and sisters and I pray you all come to know the Lord. Jesus bless you. Shalom
I know this is unrelated to your comment, but I love your username and photo. Iconic. On an unrelated note, but a note related to your comment, I am so happy to hear you've found your way home! My boyfriend comes from a Jewish family on his dad's side, but he was raised secular. He's looking into Catholicism right now with quite a bit of openness, but I know it has been difficult with the family dynamics he has to consider. I respect anyone who approaches conversion. I don't think it's ever easy, and I hope you find Catholics who understand the gravity of what you're experiencing. Praying for you!
@@laimajo3547 thank you - I always hope my username puts a smile on someone’s face!! I know family relationships will suffer with my conversion to Catholicism, but we all have crosses to bear. I’ll be praying for your boyfriend’s conversion 🩷
Although, from a protestant background, I was surprised too, when I converted to Catholicism, my Catholic friends hardly said a thing. On another note, you may find the UA-cam channel for EWTN the Journey Home helpful. There are many wonderful Jewish conversion stories, some of which are, quite remarkable. If you can’t find them on the UA-cam channel, check their website. God bless you and Welcome Home!
About 3 years ago now I started on a journey as a result of my daughter being of age to go to school. I had the choice to send her to preschool and then the local public school. Or a Catholic preschool and school system. The answer was obvious from an educational perspective however I was a devout Protestant born and raised. I always believed that Catholics were going to Hell and was well versed in the typical anti Catholic low hanging fruit. I desperately wanted to make the right choice for my daughter’s education so I started studying what Catholics actually believe and both of these men’s videos were instrumental to my learning. My father and I had a solid year and half straight of heated arguments about my converting however I am now in the Church and my Father also is in RCIA. God is good!
God bless all the wives who have to deal with their husbands who are on this crazy rollercoaster that inevitably lead us all home to Rome. I'm going through RCIA in one week and when my wife met me 11 years ago i hardly went to church. And now I can't stop talking about how amazing and beautiful the Catholic church is.
I just converted to Catholicism and I'm trying to get my cradle Catholic husband to come back to the church. Pray for us, please. He definitely thinks going to church is not a necessity to be a Christian.
Haha I’m the opposite, I came to the church with a passionate devotion and my poor husband had to sit through a roller coaster that he found incomprehensible. He didn’t understand what was happening to his wife or why I had turned into a completely different person. We fought about it at first and all the cracks in our marriage definitely showed up. But I took the Lord’s advice and stopped trying to convince him and just prayed for him. A year and a half later I got to watch him be confirmed into the church as well, and now we have a beautiful sacramental marriage on God’s terms ❤️ Time, prayer, and total abandonment to the will of Christ, that’s all we need!
That’s where I am right now. I’m a Protestant writer / teacher. I have to teach at a discipleship meeting tonight. My parents are Protestant missionaries. I kinda grew up in the missionary field in China. Yet for almost a year I’ve been feeling strongly drawn to Catholicism. Each time I walk into one, I don’t wanna leave. I feel home. And I’m scared.
I can sympathize with your fears. The truth is absolute, however, and the Holy Spirit will guide you. Continue to study God's word. Look at some of the videos by Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. John Bergsma, Dr. Brandt Petrie, all very learned biblical scholars who have read the scriptures in their original languages, and studied the history of the Church in the 1st century, and the context of why the scriptures were written the way they were. What they find is that Catholic doctrines are all found in the scriptures and there is nothing that deviates from or contradicts scripture in the Catholic church. May God bless you on your journey!
@@thejoshuaproject3809 I may try to learn the languages for myself some day. But I trust the qualifications of the theologians I mentioned. As for the rest, prayer, fasting & almsgiving are absolutely more important than many other meaningless things in this life., and we try to devote ourselves to them as much as possible, for the love of God.
@@ignatiusjackson235 Yep. I've been going to daily Mass since ash Sunday. Our priest assigned me a catechist to prepare me to take the sacraments, so I'm already on my way.
I am a classical Protestant (as of now). I had the same experience with the gospel of Luke and the blessed mother. Exactly what Brother Keith said happened to me in 2023. I wept and was overwhelmed with emotion.
God bless and keep you as well - it is amazing to hear him articulate this about the blessed mother - I’ve read that passage hundreds of times and yes it was an ugly cry. Overwhelmed with joy, love, and adoration for her person - her charity / love / and obedience. 🙏🏼🙌🏽⛪️
Were you experiencing the holy trinity of God as she came upon you as a comforter? Jesus said he would leave us with a holy spiritual comforter who can be everywhere at once. Jesus said the father and I are one. All who are part of the body of Christ are saints. Yes I ask the saints in my life to pray on my behalf . There is power in prayer. Jesus God alone mediates between me and Father God.
@@bojibear7957 yes 🙌🏽 I believe so - I am a former preacher / teacher (reformed type) and I’ve been researching to answer inconsistencies in reformed doctrine…I have been and continuously seeking the Holy Spirit in all things. Honestly a part from Easter or Christmas I’ve never had affections for the blessed mother - until that moment. It was pure / holy and real. I believe truly it was His agency and leading. It’s only drawn me closer to scripture / prayer / repentance etc. God bless you

Thank you both for this. I have been shedding tears listening to this. I am a convert many years ago. I left the church because of some things that happened. A few years ago I felt being pulled back to the church. I made an appointment with a priest. Told him my story and did a private confession right then. I left there feeling wonderful and it is wonderful being back in God's church!
I just went to Confession today!! I feel sorry for those who don’t know how awesome it is to have God absolve your sins through a priest. The words just touch my heart - every time!! I can’t describe it!!!
What an excellent episode. As a lifelong Protestant who is currently going through the RCIA process and convicted to become fully Catholic, I found myself relating to so many of the experiences that Keith talks about and the emotions around them. Thank you for sharing this content. Please pray for me folks, you’re all a part of a wonderful community both here online and the true Church, and I know that your prayers are meaningful. I have faith that I’ll have continued and further clarity but I’m feeling such confidence that I’m on the way home. God bless
I really do love watching conversion stories. It reminds me how beautiful Catholicism is, as a Catholic, it made me reflect on my life whether my life has been drawn to Jesus even more or whether I have taken for granted all these beautiful stuffs and traditions in the Catholicism. So, I am so grateful that I get to watch things like this. Thanks Pints With Aquinas. I really do hope and pray that your channel, this ministry, would reach out many more people around the world. Not just Non-Catholics but more so, lukewarm or struggling Catholics like me.
I know how and what you feel, I think. They say that familiarity breeds contempt. That's way too strong as a description of our feelings, but the gist of it is in the right direction. When you're born into something and have lived with it all your life, it's easy to take it for granted. A first-generation wealth builder knows the value of the money he worked so hard for. His wealthy children likely take it for granted. One way of dealing with that "cradle Catholic" feeling with regard to our faith is to hear about the faith journeys of those who had to 1:27:06 1:27:06 work hard through all the struggles and obstacles to their conversion. Working hard to te-ignite the smoldering embers of our faith is little different than a long-lived marriage that has fallen into the rut of daily routines. When that happens, couples resolve to carve out sacred time to be alone in one another's company. We need to do that with Jesus.
engrkourin...in reply.... if you are struggling, why don't you ask for help from Our Lady, Our Mother: SHE IS WAITING FOR YOU TO ASK HER TO HELP YOU.... YOU NEED TO ASK HER, SHE DOESN'T FORCE HERSELF ONTO ANYBODY.... REMEMBER SHE IS YR MOTHER..... AND WHAT DO MOTHER'S DO, THEY HELP THEIR CHILDREN ❤
How EXCITING to see Keith Nester with Matt! I LOVE THIS GUY!! SUPER BLESSED to have him home in the Catholic Church. I'm addicted to his "Unpacking the Mass" episodes on his "Keith Nester" channel. He explains the readings for the upcoming Sunday Masses like no one else. He's got his protestant background that he brings into all of his work, so I learn so much. I thought I loved my Catholic Faith before I found Keith. NOW, it's off the charts!! I won't have enough room to say all that I can about how awesome Keith Nester is. Thank you God for working through Keith to build up Your Church.
At about time stamp -1:50:00 the discussion of cost of conversion was engaged and I finally had a chance to hear my feelings out of another man’s mouth. I had to leave everything I built up to take up what I knew to be more correct. Even my family treated me like I betrayed them and expressed how I was going to hell. I didn’t know at the time all the ways Catholicism was right but I did know I was wrong. Thank you all for making this video.

I grew up son of a evangelical pastor. Converted in college, fell away for a decade, came back a year ago, and then divorce process started four months later, finished four months after that. Ive got primary custody and all three of my kids specially received in july. Haven't been to confession for a few months now. Stopped praying that much (still went to mass, took kids to group) and wow, i have been sobbing throughout this video. Thank you.
Saw Nester's interview with Catholic Talk Show and bought his book. I started going to church in March and started OCIA last month. I'm so glad I made the decision to go and love this journey I'm on. Don't know what God has planned for me but I trust Him.
I so need this today! My husband is not Catholic. 😢 it's hard trying to lead by example but if I push I think it will lose him. Pray fir Steve please!!

Happy for you! I’m in RCIA too. I was raised Protestant but the whole family got more and more secularized and woke. I was pretty much agnostic the lest 5 years. Praise be to God for bringing us back to the Church.
Very relatable, Keith. I’m a former Baptist minister - I remember preaching Catholicism on Sundays, and exactly as you said, I never called it that - just the Bible chapter and verse! You’ve inspired me to get back into Sunday sermons on YT. Thanks sir
I am a German Catholic in Berlin. I love Keith's fire and honesty! I often pray the Rosary with the Crew (in the middle of the night that is in Germany). All this makes me so grateful that I was born and raised in Christ's original Church.
As I am Deaf/HH (Deaf slash Hard of Hearing, I'm both) commenting on the episode of PWA, this video was uploaded only 4hrs ago. I'm glad it's already CC (closed captioned). I usually have to wait a day later or more to view this with the captions available. Thank you, Matt. I love Keith Nestor's Unpack the Mass. There's no sign language interpreter at my parish - I literally have to struggle to hear, listen hard, to the priest's homilies. I really want to live by example what the readings, the scriptures, means. 😊🙏👍
as also a hard-of-hearing catholic it is tough to hear a priest at mass especially when I alter serve id suggest you call on saint francis de sales he's the patron saint of the deaf/HOH as well as writers he during the protestant reformation he came up with a sign language to convert people back to the catholic church
@@mikeythemonkeygaming does your parish not have the loop in this people with hearing aids can loop into so to hear. I know my parish has it so it’s connected to the microphones so those with hearing aids can change it’s setting to loop in so they can hear. If your parish doesn’t have it ask your priest to consider getting it
Medjugorje also brought me back to Catholicism. A lot of things happned. Among them my mom getting cured from stage 4 cancer, me experiencing a stop of my Tinnitus for a full hour after confession, and then later on experiencing the Holy mother myself at an apparition in Croatia after all the rhetorics in my mind would still want to lead to a protestant understanding. God is good. He humbled me, I was wrong about so much motivated by pride.
As a protestant (in name only at this point) that has been drawn to the church for over 5 years now, I have always been so amazed at how gentle and kind the vast majority of Catholics have been to me as I searched, wondered, questioned, wavered, and longed. Almost no one has ever rushed me or made me feel like I had to make a decision immediately, or that I was not already on a journey with God as a protestant. That was such a very different experience than what I had a non-believer in my teens and early twenties before I came to Christ when encountering evangelicals in my life. Even now, because of my situation- which is that my husband is staunchly opposed to even considering the Catholic church and as we have two young children, and my conversion could lead to separation and a disruption of their lives, all the spiritual direction I have received is to be patient, to wait, to love my husband, to wait on God. It's really hard. Sometimes I want so desparetly to come home, to receive the sacraments, to be in community with Catholics instead of anti-Catholics, and there are times I almost wished that some priest would have told me I needed to convert right then or I would be judged by God for it. But in the end, I know that as hard as this road is, it's the road that God has ordained and its part of not only my own conversion story, but the conversion, Lord willing, of all my family. But all that to say, yes- be gentle, be patient, be kind, be understanding and know that you are not the Holy Spirit. You are just a fellow beggar, there to share some bread.
Hi, have you ever prayed the rosary? I would just encourange you to pray a novena especially for your husband. I will be praying for your family. So many protestants are wanting to become Catholic because God is wanting them to have all the graces, gifts and weapons of warfare that Catholics have especially in the times we are living. You can do all the Catholic daily devotional. I love Catholic Minute for the rosary...God bless you abundantly. 😀
Hi i was in your husbands shoes. Honestly my wife had prodded me to find out what i believe and i felt like i had no reasons for any of her points. Shes a conversationalist and it seemed more offensive (in a confrontational meaning) putting me on the defense. I said i would "never" be catholic. Aaand that lasted all of one year i think. Keep praying for it.
i was born and raised Catholic, i cant imagine myself converting to other denomination. i always attended the Holy Mass, but not until my Father died due to covid last Aug. 2021 that i decided to read the whole bible, CCC, and learn more about our faith through these yt videos made by faithful priests and apologetics. Now, i really can say that i am blessed to be a Catholic Christian and i thank our dear LORD for giving me the grace all these years. God bless! ✝️🙏🕊
I'm Catholic and watch these. I grew up with parents who love Jesus and go to mass several times a week. So, I watch these to reinforce my faith and hopefully lead me back fully into the church. It must be hard for non-Catholic people to wrap their heads around some of the things in the church. Even growing up around it, it's not easy for me.
Don't be afraid, go to your local church and inquire about RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Join them, after you go through you will do an informed and formed decision. God is joyfully waiting for you. He loves you indeed.
You two guys are awesome. I have been Catholic all my life. I was educated in a convent run by Loreto Irish nuns. I am 73 years of age now. I act as ambassador for Jesus and l look for men who are not practicing Catholic and bring them back to the church. These men were business men but life has thrown them a curve ball and they need a little finance along the way. I am a retired widow and home bound and l talk about Christ and introduce Our Blessed Mother as an intercessor to Jesus .
Keith is such a blessing to the Church. I can see why he was such a successful pastor. He is so humble and filled with love for the Lord. Our Blessed Mother called him his and brought him home. God bless him.
@@fabiotuan5206 oh it’s you again, who deleted all his comments during his last “debate”.l after he ran out of ways to back up his claims. I’m guessing you ran out of answers then and now you are back with some more of that unfounded rhetoric. Welcome back! I’m glad you are watching catholic channels. Maybe it’s Mother Mary calling you home, too 🤭 😉
@@danieladonosop Only after you deleted all of yours of course! lol Catholism under estimates the power of the Lord alone! That's why they seek praying to saints, mary, patron saints so forth. Catholics are wonderful believers but wrapped with bondage to its traditions
@@fabiotuan5206 want me to tag you in the last video so you can reread all those comments “i deleted” that had no good arguments for? I am not the one lingering in a chanel from another denomination trying to undermine their beliefs… are you really that insecure and uncharitable? If you believe you belong in the “right” church, then be happy there. We Catholics have the fullness of Truth and if you don’t agree, that’s fine. There’s over 2000 yrs to prove you are wrong but again, that is your prerogative. I will not waste any more time arguing with you, at the end of the day your arguments are and always be circular because the basis of your beliefs is grounded in a circular argument, but as we say in Spanish, “no hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver” God bless!
@@danieladonosop First of all, church means members of the body of believersl. "Fullness of truth" is a catholic slogan just like "real presence" is. Christianity has been around for 2,000 years. Catholism came about 300 ad and then started adding new dogmas, traditions etc. Church started in Jerusalem, then Antioch etc . I could give you a list of church fathers that believed the bread was symbolic as well. Like i said catholics are gracious believers but catholism is also house of bondage.. God bless!
I love Unpacking the Mass! Those weeks where I take the time on Saturday morning to listen I get so many more blessings at Mass! Thank you Keith for this weekly gift! ❤
Definitely do yourself a favor and find his and Estelle’s conversion stories where they spoke at their church! Her experience is so touching. Thanks Keith for all you do 🤍
This is the first PWA interview that I’ve watched start to finish in one sitting! My husband and I have been praying with The Rosary Crew since 2020. God bless you Keith & Matt and your amazing work!!!!
Thank you Matt for this conversation. I am Catholic since birth but I have not been faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ and His church until I started praying the rosary everyday this year - Loving the Lord through Our Lady. Rest assured Keith that the one decade of my rosary will be dedicated to you, your wife and your children that they too will find the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic church. Our Lady of Medugorje, pray for us.
Pray for me please to be able to pray the rosary. I used to wake up at 3:00 am in 2016 and pray the plain rosary, I don't know what happened to me now I struggle a lot maybe it's because I am addicted to the phone I can't sleep early to be able to wake up early, I lost my discipline 😔
I'm in RCIA right now and my wife is a lukewarm protestant who enjoys spending time at our local Methodist church , she doesn't really understand what's going on with me. My kids are young and don't really know what's going on either. It's nice to hear Keith's story, there are many similarities, except I came from pure Naturalist Atheism. Thank you for sharing your story, please pray for my wife and kids to follow me eventually. I will not push them, but I will pray for them. God Bless.
Statistically kids are most likely to practice the faith if they see their FATHER devoutly practicing it. Fathers have a huge impact and are spiritual leaders of their family. So keep doing what you are doing and focus on being a wonderful husband and father and your love through Christ is what will help them see Christ. I would also look for other devout Catholic dads or couples with kids of similar ages whose company you enjoy so they get to see Catholics in their natural habitat. 😂
I will pray for you, brother. I'm sure that, eventually, your kids will follow you to the light, especially given how comparably appealing Catholicism is to a reasonable mind. Your influence will speak volumes. Be responsible with it. Live your faith through humility and kindness. The rest will fall into place.
I pray the Rosary with Keith and also watch Unpacking the Mass at times...my daughter calls him the "Keanu Dude" and watches Unpacking the Mass with us on Saturday nights when she can. He is such a blessing to our family!!
I remember when Keith started the rosary I started praying the rosary with Keith Nestor and the rosary crew and I haven't looked back. ❤ Catholic Feedback IS AWESOME Everyone reading this please go review each week's upcoming readings 🥰
Oh gosh, I had almost the same experience of hearing that my marriage was invalid after first discerning Catholicism as a Protestant. I prayed soooo hard that God would tell me I didn't have to convert after that. Long story short, He didn't tell me that and I'm so grateful ❤️
My husband and I are both cradle Catholics who knew nothing about Church teachings. Considering that I had been married before, and hadn't had the marriage annulled. Partly, I had no understanding of why I needed to do it... But I clearly couldn't afford it. On my husband's side, there was a deacon in the family, who I didn't really know well. At family affairs he use to call my husband aside and would tell him how we were living in sin. At this point we were married at least 10 years of our 34 year marriage, so far. Anyway, I use to get so mad when my husband would tell me this. Shamefully, behind his back, instead of referring to him as a deacon...I would refer to him as a dicken! I set out to learn my Catholic faith in my late 40's, and learnt on my own why this was so important. Pope Francis waved the fee on annulment, and made this possible for me to do. We were married about 20 years when we convalidated our marriage. I am ashamed what I called my husband's family member. Though honestly, thus deacon could have tried to lovingly explain this, instead of "you are living in sin and going to Hell" approach! Sorry this was so long... I talk too much, and can't answer anything with a short version..ha! God bless you my friend! ⚘️
This breaks my heart to hear. My wife is a former Catholic and we were married at a Methodist church by my father the pastor. My wife is absolutely in love with Christ, and pushes me closer to Him daily. Her issues with Catholicism are not from a poor catechesis. They are legitimate, as are mine. That said, I appreciate so much of the rich Catholic beauty and doctrine so often lacking in evangelical churches. Yet we are evangelicals by conviction, no less separated from Christ. Anyone who knows my wife knows she is filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, especially Joy. We have been blessed to know the Sacramental Grace of matrimony in a profound way since the day we said I do. To claim that our marriage is invalid in the sight of God is a pharisaical affront to the Sacred Heart of our Lord
Dear@@foodforthought8308, I pray for you and your dear wife. It is good that you are on the Way. I pray that you make ever more progress in following Christ, and that you will find all you need to follow Him to Calvary and beyond. (God gives us the Catholic Church as a channel for His graces, especially in times of need.)
I’m going through a similar experience, but I’m already Catholic. I am thought about becoming Orthodox Christian, but then God showed me the Byzantine rite of Catholicism. I love the beauty, reverence, and tradition of their liturgy. So now I plan to start going there a lot more frequently.
Keith Nester is a Brilliant speaker. He’s so relatable and speaks from his heart ❤️ it’s because of him that learned to pray the rosary and followed his daily rosary on UA-cam. And no matter where I am praying the rosary elsewhere, I still include “Jesus protect and save the unborn” it’s ingrained into my rosary because of Keith’s first rosaries. God Bless you Keith 🙏🏼❤️✝️
I’m only 20 minutes into this interview and so much of what Mr. Nester is saying is resonating with me. From the experience of your wife going back to confession and the priest stating that she’s been waiting for her to, you, Mr. Nester, being struck with sudden inspiration based on your experience of conversion. One of my recent prayers deals with my own academic pursuits and my struggle with it. I’ve just declared and asked that if God has created all and He knows all, then He can help me to learn the material I’m studying and trying to ultimately apply for the sake of God’s glory.
I was really worried about a friend who was very interested in Catholicism, and then just sort of fled. While hearing Keith's story, I just looked up at the Crucifix, and the Lord said, "Be not afraid. I am with her. Please keep entrusting her, and your own continued conversion, into the hands of My Mother." We need to be there for those we love, but the Lord does His work.
I just can’t get the Mary as our Mother thing. My own mum was wonderful. I can’t see a need for Mary as my mother. As far as I see it, Mary is the mother of Jesus, she doesn’t replace my own mum.
@@rosemarybaxter9120 Think of it this way: Mary is a spiritual Mother to us all. This does not diminish in the slightest our very spiritual relationships to our mothers who raised us. While He was dying on the cross, Christ presented His mother to the apostle John, and John to His mother. The way this is understood in Catholicism is that Jesus is giving us all to His mother Mary, and Mary to us all. If we look at the Acts of the Apostles, Mary is with them at Pentecost, in the coming of the Holy Spirit, that is, being Mother to Christ's church, His family. Historically, there have been many apparitions of Mary coming to people as our spiritual Mother, to help bring people to Christ, as it seems that she brought John to the foot of the cross (notice that he was the one who did not hide or run away). Furthermore, the Blessed Mother has made herself known, present to me in my life. Do I have scientific, quantifiable proof of her presence? No. All I can do is testify to my own experience. If you note my above comment above, 4 months ago, the Lord told me to entrust my friend to the hands of His Mother. Well, int he past week, out of the blue this friend has come to me, wanting to discuss Catholicism. So, as I see it, a prayer answered, brought to the Lord in the hands of His Mother. In the Lord's own timing. The Blessed Mother does not replace our own dear mothers, but she is the spiritual Mother to us all, because Jesus wanted to share everything He had with us.
1:53:01 Keith, that’s exactly how I started to feel in the denominational church I was attending. On my own. When I was in a practicing Catholic, I always had the Saints to help me, along with Jesus.
I’ve been participating with Keith and his Rosary Crew for the last 3 years and look forward to finally meeting him at a retreat in the Philly area in November. The Knights of the Immaculata. He’s an amazing Catholic and I’ve learned a lot from him as a cradle Catholic myself.
Keith seems like a truly genuine, kind guy. No nonsense, what you see is what you get. Most if not all people strive to convey that, especially on youtube, but with him it seems very natural and real. And he's looking great!
Two years after finding Rosary Crew with Keith Nester it has changed my prayer life so much . I thank this man so much for encouraging my faith to become stronger 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
This was such a wonderful chat. Thank you Matt and Keith. Yes, we need to bring Catholic culture back into our daily life!! It is so fruitful and the treasures that come with it is priceless on our life's journey!! Praise Jesus!!
When Keith talks about fearing "blowing all this up" and the thoughts running through his head made my hair stand up. I admire your strength, obedience and open heart to God in light of all of those fears, Keith!
🕯 GOD Bless Keith! He is so genuine! His amazing gifts are a beautiful contribution to the Church! He touches souls! This is the second time listening, to this interview. I learned so much more this time...not about Keith and his conversion ...but about myself, and my ongoing conversion! Thank You Keith and Pints with Aquinas! 🕯 🕯 🕯
I went from Baptist to Lutheran after many years of being dissatisfied with the low view of communion. My husband gave me his blessing and joins me occasionally, as I do with him. We can’t take The Lord’s Supper together, but we still read the Bible together. I would not have left that church if our marriage was not strong. We’ve been married over 25 years and are in a good place. But now my husband is referring to The Lord’s Supper as the real presence ❤️
There is no real presence in the Lutheran Church because it doesn't have valid orders. God is calling you to return to the Catholic Church, the true spiritual heritage of Protestants.
You guys are headed in the right direction! I would advise looking into the early Church Fathers, particularly how they viewed ecclesiology. It's clear that Jesus Christ wants unity for all Christians. I would also urge you to look into the the saints of the Counter-Reformation. Many of the issues that led to Martin Luther's leaving in the first place were fully resolved by the Council of Trent. God bless you both. Keep chasing the Lord!
About time you had Keith Nester on! Thanks Matt and Keith. I enjoyed watching this podcast episode. Keith was one of the first youtubers I encountered when I was in the process of my "reversion" and he really got me fired up for my faith! Thanks Keith, you are in my prayers!
"If you were boring; I would be" .... I like Matt was thinking don't stop as well. What a podcast. God bless everyone involved in the making of this podcast and those reading this comment now.
I have been obsessed with watching conversion stories. I’ve been Protestant for 31 years and I can feel myself being called to convert. I have been praying continuously trying to get direction. My husband was raised Catholic, but has never practiced as an adult. He has no interest in the church or going to Mass. I prayed my first rosary yesterday, I don’t even have a rosary. I am just so desperate for direction. Please pray for me and my family. I feel an urgency to bring my family home, but how I wish my husband would be the one to lead us there. Pray that God will give me the courage to walk into a Mass.
My husband is a former Episcopal Priest. We are now Catholics. The Lord told us to leave TEC in 2012. We obeyed Him. I suggest that you read the book, Home, Sweet Home, by Scott Hahn. We found this book to be very helpful. 😊
Thank you for your kind words. I have never been part of such a welcoming and warm community of people. The non denominational church I was attending served communion at their Easter service and I knew instantly this is wrong and I left. The following Sunday, I began attending Mass and started RCIA that very Tuesday. I met with my priest yesterday and we started a plan for my children to be baptized. My husband has not yet joined us, but I pray every day that Jesus will soften his heart. As of right now, he will not agree to have our marriage validated. I will continue to pray his heart will change, so that we both can come home 🤍🕊️
Keith definitely has a gift! I love being able to pray the rosary with Keith as he has a gift for getting to the heart of each mystery. His 24/7 live chat and daily live stream are great for prayer requests. Also love Unpacking The Mass each week.
Great conversion another great convert I liked was Dr. John Bergsma his story was amazing as well and now he is such an amazing professor of scripture for Catholicism. He and Brant Pitre are ones I like listening to.
This talk amazes me. I really relate to so much of what your guests relates here. I’ve been feeling stuck because I really want to become Catholic but my poor spouse, a very conservative cradle Lutheran is very much in pain over this, not just because of the direction in which I feel called but also by his own Lutheran brothers, sister, church leaders, and pastor. He doesn’t believe that he can worship in any other way. Being Lutheran is such a huge part of his identity, But this really spoke to me and encouraged me about my own path at least
Keith’s conversion story is one of my favorite stores. Conversion stories are beautiful anyway though, it’s like they love God so much and are searching and finally found the One they have been searching for. They truly love God and I love them for that. Good bless all Catholic converts. Thank you for opening your heart and seeking Jesus.
I love listening to the conversations, the 2 hour and 3 hour programs used to scare me because I never have that much time to sit at one time. I have found the pause button! I can stop and pick up where I was. I like to hit the thumbs up button when I come back in. Thank you for having such great people, Jeff Cavins, Keith Nestor, etc. ( sorry if if I did spell their names correctly.)
I do the rosary with Keith on his youtube channel. I love it! I love the way he does it...very straightforward and a good pace, no flowery speech or lengthy drawn out words and very easy to follow along. Thanks Keith.
God bless you both, Keith and Matt. I pray that many Protestants may watch this and consider their beliefs and come to know the way the truth and the life fully
I was baptized Catholic as an infant, but never grew up in the church or read the bible. It wasn't until Feb 2023 when I gave my life to Christ, I started to read the Bible front to back and go to church for the first time. I was attending and volunteering at an Anglican church for 4-5 months not knowing it was Anglican. During this time I've been praying the full Rosary in Latin mostly everyday. I truly believe The Blessed Virgin Mother led me to the Catholic Church. I've now had my first confession, attend Mass every Sunday and going through RCIA for Confirmation. The Rosary is my weapon like how St. Padre Pio calls it.
Love this interview! I don’t think Catholics share enough how the church has wounded them. It’s not all rainbows and sunshine. But it’s beautiful for someone to share they were put off by the Church or wounded and still saw the beauty of Christ’s church; still came to the fullness of the Christian faith. Just like our human family can hurt us, we forgive and heal. More people need to know there is healing when we focus on Christ and not the humans.
Just like Matt said, that famous quote about Catholicism “Here comes everyone” it’s such a huge, deep, community that you find every human failing and every beautiful supernatural gift from Our Lord.
I was listening and praying with you, Keith, during The Pandemic from South East Iowa when I was home alone during the day. Such an amazing community! I remember those beginning days, 14 days and beyond for the Rosary Crew. Listening today, driving to and from Davenport. Thank you for the good word on children who aren't there yet. Love your story.
Thank you for bringing Keith to your podcast Matt, and thank you Keith! I needed to hear this so bad. Just had a talk with my Lutheran pastor the other day because I've been thinking of converting to Catholicism, and even he said that if you feel like you're called home, then perhaps you should listen to it.
Never thought I would see the day PWA lands John Wick for an interview! Keith has such good stuff from the outside looking in during the process of conversion, good session.
Im a lukewarm church hopping protestant whos been feeling more and more called and convicted towards Catholicism. My husband is very understanding but is completely agnostic which makes it harder. Please pray for me.
Edit : 2/12/23

Amen! Did you convert at the same time?
Keith Nester is a legend. In one of his talks, he pointed out that with the times we live in everyone wants a new St Francis of Assisi to stand up or a new St Thomas Aquinas to correct everyone. Keith then got real passionate and said, "Friends, God didn't put them in this time! God put you! Go be the saint the world needs today!"
That’s so wise! God bless Keith’s ministry!
💯
Wow, that is powerful and a beautiful point. Thank you for sharing.

As a Protestant I'm feeling such a strong conviction towards the Catholic Church. The Holy Spirit has opened my heart in such a huge way! I kindly request your prayers as I continue to embark on this journey. ❤
♥️🙏
My husband is a former Episcopal Priest. We converted to Catholicism in 2012. 😊
will pray for you. 🙏🏻 might I suggest praying the rosary daily, it will change your life.
Take that step, brother. It's the best decision you'll ever make.
Without hurting your wife . It’s your salvation that must come first . Pray that she changes her view . And join the Rosary Crew for support 🙏🏻
You have my prayers as an ex Protestant who made the journey. God bless you.
Of course! 👍🏼
And remember two things:
1. Work thibgs out one step at a time;
What an incredible week coming up! May the Holy Spirit love you and guide you always. Congrats!
That is beautiful! Congratulations to you both 😊
What an exciting time! 👏 Confession is great!

Amen!

@@mariobethell3731 You're literally just indoctrinating people to fear the very notion of thinking critically about themselves. How pathetic.

That is so wonderful praise God ❤🎉
The ways of the Lord are so mysterious and yet his Plan is so perfect.
Praise God!!
Aw, so happy for all of you! Welcome!!

Thank you for the comment. My wife is one of those wives dealing with her husband on the rollercoaster. 🙏🏼
Yes! My mom is one of those amazing wives
God bless you and your wife. 🙏😄
A year and a half later I got to watch him be confirmed into the church as well, and now we have a beautiful sacramental marriage on God’s terms ❤️
Time, prayer, and total abandonment to the will of Christ, that’s all we need!

Yep.
God bless you, brother!
God bless and keep you as well - it is amazing to hear him articulate this about the blessed mother - I’ve read that passage hundreds of times and yes it was an ugly cry. Overwhelmed with joy, love, and adoration for her person - her charity / love / and obedience. 🙏🏼🙌🏽⛪️
God bless you. Mary is the sweetest way to Jesus. May she guide you always and accompany on your journey.
God bless you
Keith is 100% real. I love his love for Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother. He is an inspiration. Love the passion he has in the Rosary Crew as well.

I am so gratefull to the Lord for leading me to Catholich Church after my conversion. It is being Home.

At about time stamp -1:50:00 the discussion of cost of conversion was engaged and I finally had a chance to hear my feelings out of another man’s mouth.
Powerful!
Thankyou yes I pray it almost daily. :)@@LiliGoof-gh4ch
Thank you yes I pray it many times a week. Thank you!@@koraleekahika9313
God bless! ✝️🙏🕊
My dad is a Methodist minister and I'm a Catholic convert as well.
As a Protestant, no wonder the children of Methodists want order in their life- the Methodists have completely lost the plot.
Keep the Faith! Don't give up. The light will shine!
Seek Jesus, not some organization.
Yay! Keith and Matt! Two people making a huge difference for the glory of God❤God bless you both!
I’ve heard Keith’s story 3 times now and it’s just as riveting as the 1st time. I love that you guys had him on. He’s a great dude.
RIGHTTTT
Don't be afraid, go to your local church and inquire about RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Join them, after you go through you will do an informed and formed decision. God is joyfully waiting for you. He loves you indeed.
This is like the 5th time for me 😂
You two guys are awesome.
Keith was instrumental in my husbands first year in the church and his conversion process. God bless you.
Keith is such a blessing to the Church. I can see why he was such a successful pastor. He is so humble and filled with love for the Lord. Our Blessed Mother called him his and brought him home. God bless him.
Are you sure mary called him?
Is mary omniscient too? lol
Maybe it’s Mother Mary calling you home, too 🤭 😉
@@danieladonosop
Only after you deleted all of yours of course! lol
Catholism under estimates the power of the Lord alone!
@@danieladonosop
First of all, church means members of the body of believersl.
God bless!
I love my Catholic faith, I pray the rosary, I go to mass on my days off and on Sundays and read my bible everyday. Thank you Lord Jesus.
Thanks Keith for all you do 🤍
I'm glad to see you here!
Yes, I saw Estelle’s conversion before Keith’s! 😊 love them both!!
Oh my!! Thank God that I came across this I love Keith Nestor. God bless him..thanks for having him on.
Lol he really looks a lot like Keanu!
As a big fan and longtime listener of Pints with Aquinas, I can honestly say this is my favorite episode to date.
I remember when Keith started the rosary I started praying the rosary with Keith Nestor and the rosary crew and I haven't looked back. ❤
Catholic Feedback IS AWESOME
Everyone reading this please go review each week's upcoming readings 🥰
@@foodforthought8308the marriage of two baptized people is NOT invalid in the eyes of the Catholic Church. Where did you hear that?
@@Seliz463 What was Keith referring to then when the priest told him his marriage wasn't valid?
I’m going through a similar experience, but I’m already Catholic. I am thought about becoming Orthodox Christian, but then God showed me the Byzantine rite of Catholicism. I love the beauty, reverence, and tradition of their liturgy. So now I plan to start going there a lot more frequently.
I’m happy for you !
Good to see that Keanu Reeves is now an active Catholic and is serving in multiple ministries.
Finally, someone with an IQ
This whole interview he reminded me of Keanu
Lol
Keith Nester is a Brilliant speaker. He’s so relatable and speaks from his heart ❤️ it’s because of him that learned to pray the rosary and followed his daily rosary on UA-cam. And no matter where I am praying the rosary elsewhere, I still include “Jesus protect and save the unborn” it’s ingrained into my rosary because of Keith’s first rosaries. God Bless you Keith 🙏🏼❤️✝️
There stands only one mediator between God and man Christ Jesus!
Nobody asked you troll. Get a job. Trolling is not a career. You have been trolling catholic channels for 6 years @@fabiotuan5206
I just finished his book “The convert’s guide to Roman Catholicism”. Keith is a great guy and I have learned a lot about the faith from his channel
@@rosemarybaxter9120
Think of it this way: Mary is a spiritual Mother to us all.
“If you were boring I would be” - BEST LINE EVER!!! 🤣🤣🤣
This episode made me cry multiple times! Such an emotional conversion story. God bless him and his wife!
Tammy...:
It seems that you are both being draw, very subtly, to the one true Church.
The Catholic Church.
We went from evangelical to Lutheran before finally joining the Church
❤🙏
My husband is a former Episcopal Priest. We are now Catholics. The Lord told us to leave TEC in 2012. We obeyed Him. I suggest that you read the book, Home, Sweet Home, by Scott Hahn. We found this book to be very helpful. 😊
I meant to say the book, Rome, Sweet Home. 😊
If there is anyway I can help please let me know, God bless you and your family. Especially your courage to go on this journey.
I am in OCIA now. Your story is bringing me to tears. I am so happy for you. Easter Vigil is coming day by day.
Never get tired of hearing Keith's conversion story. What a powerful witness! Thank you, Keith!👍👍😊😊
Being Lutheran is such a huge part of his identity,
But this really spoke to me and encouraged me about my own path at least
I’m a senior citizen convert. Never too late. I just subscribed to the Rosary Crew. Thank you. ❤
For the past couple years I have been wondering when this conversation was going to happen . praise Jesus and God bless you Matt and Keith.
Nester seems like such a humble man! May God bless and protect him. 😊
Keith Nester has a powerful testimony. I have been following him for years. God bless him for the lives he has touched.
Keith has helped me become more regular with praying the Rosary. His authenticity and enthusiasm is consoling and inspiring!
So beautiful testimony❤ Spontaneous tears 😢 Your children will be back in God’s own time 🙏🏼✝️⛪️😇💫
Love this interview!
I feel like I've said this too many times but I'll say it again. This is the best episode of Pints with Aquinas ever.
Have you seen the one w/ the priest who has a Carthusian friend can’t remember his name😢 Or w/ Fr. Gregory Pine?? Those are amazing as well.
You never fail in delivering in your beautiful videos! Many blessings!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Wonderful interview. Keith is an asset to the Church. I’m so glad he came Home! ❤️
Loved hearing this. Thank you so much for sharing. Also watched Estelle’s talk on Keith’s channel. What a lovely person also!
I'm a big Keith Nester fan so thank you for this wonderful interview!
Never thought I would see the day PWA lands John Wick for an interview! Keith has such good stuff from the outside looking in during the process of conversion, good session.
God will get them all! Glory to Him.
Two great guys with their hearts on fire, in the same place. Pretty amazing the things God does for us listeners. Thanks
