- The question is can we get a ford 5.0 V8 engine to fit in a ford mk1 transit ?Find out as we start to cut the body up to make a trial fit with whether or not the engine fits the tiny engine bay of the world famous transit van.

I did the same with a Transit MK1
Front axle of a MK4 and V8, on a different place nevertheless. Great car, like it should be build from factory. I will restore mine this winter till next summer. Good luck guys

Nice work so far guys, I’ve got a Tranny as well, a ‘76 dually German firetruck, but the conversion to a V8 is a bit too far for me. I’d like to buy a 3,5 V6 ecoboost from a Ford-ish one day…. First a shop.. to work in😁. Yours looks nice btw😀..keep us informed 👍
Thanks for the support Jorrito 😄 the V8 is way overkill, I’m just a sucker for the sound though. We have a Transit Connect in the yard which an EcoBoost has been thrown around in conversations…..

uhh its not a 302... its actually a 351w. you can tell by the EFI set up.
I've done 500 cubic inch v8 in my mk1 swb, check out deep purples new music video on UA-cam 'oh well'
