Love the van jonny very impressive build always loved the transit van especially this shape but not happy it was front wheel drive youv made the perfect van..more content please looking forward to following your builds and progress ❤
Brilliant build and very well done. I would be interested to know how you sorted the gearchange out. I'm putting an E90 lump in a mk7 and you have inspired me to look at changing the rear axle to an IRS. Again, well done, I love it. So glad there are blokes out there doing this stuff. And those who say you can't mod this or that are wrong, these bits are made by people and believe it or not there are more skilled people out there more than capable to do these jobs.
Thanks for the video, this is awesome. This is very similar to a dream build I've had in my head for years except using a newer N57 xdrive setup. (Slightly lighter engine but actually more common, 335ds are ten a penny here). Do you reckon the zf 8 speed those cars use would fit? The idea for the spacers for the diff is actually really clever and cheaper and more reliable than custom drive shafts. Are they turned on a lathe out of solid steel? Do you think it would have been possible to move the suspension out at all for less intrusion in to the interior? Is the master cylinder etc for the brakes from the transit or the E60? Do you think you could have got abs working and/or why did you choose to remove it? Thats a lot of questions sorry.... Also how tight is the fitment of the engine in the bay
At the start I had the 6hp installed and it had lots of space Shaft spacers were solid bar turned down in lathe and hollow to decrease weight The shock towers possibility could make them less as I made these to suit air suspension at a later date Space in the bay is actually quite a bit, there's at least 1foot each side from engine to chassis Thanks for the intrest
I wanna build a fast diesel van like this and make it look like a class 55 deltic. Green two - tone livery and script on the sides that says "Iffy Brailleways" instead of "British Railways"
Amazing build Jonny !!! Did you have to use a spacer for the F10 530d flywheel and e60 M5 clutch kit? People saying the 53DZ can't handle the torque of a standard e60 535d engine but i'd say with the right clutch & flywheel it should be 'fine' even with torque increases.
@@AlisterMcConville the biggest killer of those boxes is solid flywheels, I run the n57 dual mass and have had zero issues, I did have to run the 5mm backing plate to space the gearbox back not the flywheel. All is working flawless
Nice video, no messing around with gimics. I am thinking about something similar with an international KB1. How did you work out the selector? Thought I saw it come up for sale.
Hi there, linkage is just a mechanism on back of box to take the cables, it was for sale but I got messed about so much with buyers I stood it off the market and daily it now
Awesome van, great to see underneath and to share your experiences, thank you. Could you advise where you sourced the fake DPF? For research purposes you understand...

I purchased a Nissan Elgrand 3.5L V6 4x4 from Japan with 250bhp as standard from factory for £5800. I then spent roughly £7 having a full custom turbo installation and Nissan skyline brakes, standard suspension. Its currently at 470 bhp. It would likely blow your van away, with an all in price of about £13k. Its such an unassuming van and takes delight in embarrassing Ford SMRT and top end transporters, just to rub it in the rear decals state its a 1.6 Eco Cargo Van 😂
How has this lad only got 800 subs...let's get this lad known. WOW
Thanks alot 👍

Should have worked on a Transporter, not a Transhit 🤢
Did you look up about your new transporter t7?.....it is built on a transit platform 😂😂
