I agree that taking a break to get a backlog of content is a good idea. I would love to see your channel blow up, you definitely deserve it. You do some awesome work!
Showed up for the 07K swap and stayed for the realness. Looking forward to the 07K engine series but also the other directions you are going. Keep it up, we appreciate your passion and time with these videos!
That’s the perfect solution! I just don’t know if it will work with the way the algorithm functions. in a perfect world I would post one AWESOME video a month instead of 4 MEDIOCRE ones. UA-cam just pushes me in the second direction.
I cannot wait to see the fully forged 07k turbo and see the max potential of the 2.5l. I love all your content and I'm waiting to find the right donor for an 07k swap.
Mike, take care of yourself, your family and your business endeavors. I’m still waiting to see the Cayman build finished, so April 30th isn’t that bad of a wait. Kidding, but those of us who have a real appreciation for your work and the channel will be right here waiting. Looking forward to the reboot!
I can't wait to get my 2.85l up and running. You do so much for the community man! I have a full 3inch exhaust, coilovers, 1 off pnp microsquirt ECU. I can't wait to come by and see the shop man!
Came across your videos after I fell in love with inline 5 cylinder engines. No one seemed to be doing anything other than VW or Audi swaps and that was kinda boring, no real uniqueness to the builds (like seeing the same LS swap camaro for the thousandth time). After I stumbled across your channel I immediately started watching the 07K build religiously and subscribed. The transparency, the information, and the interaction are what I think keep you people coming back I believe. Definitely would love to see more 07K builds and the gsxr build as well as some other unique builds when time and money allow (I have a couple suggestions I'd love to throw your way lol). Thanks for always being a straightforward guy and giving more awesome content to our youtube viewing addictions. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Take all the time you want, family first. Something I’d like to see is a exhaust video. External mic for the exhaust, and one for the turbo. I’d love listen to that sweet sweet 07k. And then I’d suggest if it’s not too hard, find a LS swapped 944 and compare, the 07k vs LS on the track and street. Again, take your time. Can’t wait to see you back.
Stopped by for the Cayman content and even though I might not be all that interested in some of the other projects, I stuck around. I still watch all the videos, as I'm a car guy and like the stuff you present. Look forward to your upcoming videos.
I really enjoyed the way you did the 944 07k series. The pace of those videos was great, they were just the right amount of informative and concise. I was considering an ls-swap for years, never worked up the nerve. Your content made a really good case for the 07k swap, and it's really great as a tutorial for the project.
I'm actually doing Cerakote this weekend on my spa manifold and turbo housing. Also on half the engine block, I've been scraping rust off the exhaust side with a finger sander haha. I got the Cerakote in Glacier Blue, hopefully it's not cartoonishly blue lol.
You're doing the right thing. Like others I came for the Cayman but stayed for the *waves vaguely* other stuff. Come back when it feels right! Sound Quality: fine I enjoy porsche and vw technical content like rebuilds, problem solving, but then also seeing the enjoying of finished projects too. be well!
It was pleasure listening to you. Such updates are also good when you don't feel like the projects have moved forward to share a buildi video. Thake the time off and rebuild your mojo! Awaiting for the Cayman 3.8 build!
Thanks for what you do and being honest as I really had no idea what it takes in time and effort. I really like the channel partly because I have had 944's in the past and my dream project was always to build a restomod 924 carrera inspired car. Your 07K swap is exactly the missing piece! So I have watched with great interest. As someone who can turn a wrench and follow directions step by step and in-depth build sequences have always been helpful to me and of interest. For example I love what you have done here and always find it entertaining. I would certainly pay for an in-depth build series covering the motor, installing, etc.... Keep up the great work wish you massive success and I will soon being buying everything I can for the swap from you. Thanks!
Wishing as always for you and your family the best! I will be happy with whatever you decide to do I’m here because I want to be. Thanks for all you do.

Right there with you brother. Sometimes life has its own demands and is unforgiving. I’m at that point on my channel as well. Take care... we’re all there for each other and your channel will survive. Being genuine and honest is the reason I subscribed, and I’d love to partner with you on a build in the future.
Happy to have been involved since early on. I do know how hard it is to build a business and put in all the work you have to do. Willing to support you anyway we can. Keep up the good work. Gary
Iv been with you guys sense the beginning . I literally look forward to your videos weekly. And you keep me motivated . Makes me feel like I’m not alone in all the problems I encounter with my track car.
Do a LeMons car brother. Cheap and a bunch of folk will be into it if they are also 24h of lemons guys. Plus we might be able to race each other in Pittsburgh or Pocono or Watkins...etc. I have a crappy 1992 GTI, it's awesome! Anyways do you brother. I hate editing thus no channel, trying to get the wife to try/like it.
Here’s the thing though. You put out quality videos. I am willing to wait around for them sir. Life is crazy. I am a teacher full time AND I run a pool service business. It’s no joke to be busy with day to day stuff!
I really hope you find a way to produce content that doesn't wear you out! I'll be looking forward to any content you produce - I guess that doesn't really help you in determining your priorities, though!
At one point on my last build I had almost 120 weeks in a row (or more, I can't remember anymore) with a minimum of one release. I know the amount of exhaustion that comes with that, the stress of filming, trying to edit, and then just getting it uploaded with all the backend items. A month off will do you some good. Put together a few videos like we talked about to be good filler too. If you need a sounding board, you know how to find me.
Just take your time. You need to focus on you otherwise you will not be at your best. I have enjoyed a lot if the content and I know you can't keep it up forever. You need help or a break.
@@BoostBrothersGarage as something interesting to consider for a video. Maybe a dyno comparison between the 07K 944 and a VW Golf with the 07K. Maybe a drag race between the turbo 07K and a 5cyl Audi RS3? Seek out other UA-camrs with 944s or comparable cars like an 80's Quattro 5cyl turbo and create a fun rivalry. People love the drama and the competition. The crossover just works to get exposure to viewers of another channel that may subscribe to yours as well. Just throwing stuff out there. I know it's easier said than done, but worth a shot. Either way, take your time, regroup, and work at your own pace. Give yourself time to focus on quality and not quantity. You are just one person. I am learning to focus more on me as well it's not easy.
Given my health issues for the past year and that they kept me from posting a video for about 14 months, I guess I can wait until Apr 30th, Mike. You do great videos, and we've already chatted in comments about my preference so I won't belabor that. Just know that when you're back, I and a bunch of others will still be here.
WHAT! How dare you. Just kidding. Rest up and then come back when you feel ready. Speaking for myself, I will be eagerly awaiting your return. Still working at swapping the 07k in my stripped 944 NA body with parts from a donor NA car.
If you only post once in 3 weeks, taking a month off doesnt really make sense. You mention the mysterious youtube algorithm... What do you think will happen when you take a month off. If you have a brother, he needs to be in the videos. Pick a car, and work on that car for a while. You channel has no focus. People want to understand what they are looking at, which is why you need to film your brother. Introduce him as your brother every episode. Then work on the car people expect you to work on, in this case the 5 cylinder 944. That is your ticket.
Unfortunately my brother lives in Houston now, hence him not being on the channel very often. There is nothing mysterious about the UA-cam algorithm and I’m aware that taking a month off will negatively impact the channel short term. I’m ok with it because it should ultimately help. I agree with the lack of focus and sticking to fewer builds.
