In this video we start David's 240SX build. We will be swapping in a JDM Honda K24 engine as well as a BMW M4 DCT transmission, CTS-V Brakes, OS Giken LSD and adding some aero. It's going to be quite the transformation!

i own a 944 and i blew my engine. im a young kid who wanted to drift and i dont wanna give up on my shell, i hope to buy this kit and teach my self about cars and drive it one day for as cheap as possible and you seem cheaper then rebuilding a 944 n/a engine! thanks for your time guy!

I know in Europe there's a kit that lets you have an electronic clutch pedal so it functions a lot like a sequential if desired. Could be cool if you decide to ever drift the S13 part time at some point!

Core 4 motorsports makes a front and rear bbk for s-chassis. I just installed their front setup on my s13 last year. I use a Nissan Pathfinder bmc with an s2k ABS module

With my z32. I run cts-v 6 pistons in the front. Srt8 4 Pistons in the rear. 14” 2 piece rotors all around. Stock z32 master cylinder

This will be interesting! I’m excited to see you guys get the dual-clutch operating without the Can-bus. For my mk2 GTI 07k swap I wanted to run a DQ250 (VW 6 speed DSG), but the main hang up would have been making it operational with the swap. Maybe this series can give me a few ideas to make it happen in the future
It should apply directly! I’m considering running a DSG in my 914 and I will run the same HTG TCU if so.
for what its worth, htg officially supports the bmw dct, Porsche PDK and VW dsg transmissions. That swap with PE's standalone once they figure out interfacing the ECU to the GCU should be a monster.
Well, I'm disappointed it's not an 07K, but I'm very interested in watching this unfold, particularly the electronics for the DCT. I've thought about the VW/Audi equivalent for the Beetle, but I don't think they ever made one for the longitudinal FWD cars... which means deconverting a Quattro box.

Hahaha, thanks for watching to the end! Yeah, the DCT is going to be sweet. You could always just transverse mount it right over top the rear wheels. That’s what I’m considering doing with the 914. VR6 and DSG.
@@BoostBrothersGarage too much rear weight bias that way IMO. I was actually going to build something different with the 07K originally that was transverse and that was one of the things that made me switch.
Soon gridlife is going to be all k24s just like when the drift scene everyone went ls swap.
Hey guys, have you tried mocking up the gearbox in the s-chassis tunnel yet? Do you have to make a custom tunnel to fit this gearbox in? I’m looking at putting one in my s15 behind a billet sr20vet set up

Unfortunately no. You might be able to use a VW DCT though.

I need ur suggestion i have rx8 and rotary engine is failed now looking for swap i found 3 engine in good condition 1 is 1uz fe. 2 is nissan 3z0 z engine and 3 is 1jz vvti all are nationally aspirated engine i want to know which engine is best for rx8 and which bmw dct transmission is match woth that engine. And yes also tell me standalone ecu which is best for that engine. And thanks for making such a wounderfull video its help us alot
Was this a while ago? Because there do exist 240sx mounts for the K24. Very excited though!
No, it’s current. We are using mounts from TF, David was saying K Power Industries doesn’t have 240 K mounts.

@@chadjackson4430 its v band and not dual scroll, no one makes a dual scroll manifold for rwd applications as far as I know

I hope you didnt go with HTG, if you did how poor of an experience are you having? I'm looking into it heavily for an S62 DKG swap and havent heard one positive thing yet..

Lots to unpack here, but for starters that three-way wall socket adapter looks sketchy as hell. Also, Mike looks kinda buff in this video.

It’s all been replaced. Custom ECU and TCU harnesses.

Nice DCT 👍🏻 I am after the 6 speed dct with long ratio I can’t seem to work out or find the long ratio 1.1 5th gear . Compared to the gs7d36sg is 7 speed sort ratio . Any idea on where to find one ? Iv been looking at this forum for specs .
