Got an 01 7.3 f250 with 93,500 miles. Second owner, first was my uncle who had it for 21 years. It’s basically brand new still and I’m like you, I love driving it and looking at it and it’s never going anywhere! Can’t wait to see more content from you.
When you mention her being a thirsty girl, have you dropped the tank and checked the in-tank pick up screen/filters? Check out the forums for the Hutch and Harpoon mods and maybe think about moving the pre-pump filters to the frame for easy filter replacement. Driven Diesel sells a kit for ~ $250 and I can tell you the fuel flow and mpg’s on my 7.3 went up 5 miles per gallon!
FRX fuel rail crossover kit and a high pressure crossover line will make it purr like a happy kitten

I have a 2000 Chevy crew cab third rear door. Same two tone. Dual chrome roll bars two different light kits😂. I dawned on me these style trucks was Big Foot monster truck. Take care of the frame 😳.

check your exhaust back pressure sensor and clean it. it's probably fully clogged which will lower you mpgs. the sensor is telling the engine to work harder than it needs to. i get 17s mpgs empty.

Delete the fuel bowl and add a fass fuel system, this will eliminate leaks at the fuel bowl

They run pretty good after you spend about $15,000 building the engine to make it as powerful as modern day diesels . I can smoke most mildly built trucks on the road in my 7.3 or pull a 10,000 pound trailer , it's Hilarious and fun because I love them with all my heart and grew up in them so I know all about how they can be . I have pretty much mastered the perfect setup motor wise .

Stop polishing a turd and replace the leaf springs before they snap. Also, cyclists suck, but they belong on the road, same as you, and not on sidewalks. Sidewalks are for…walking.
