This is the weirdest fucking shit. Like not only are the song and video itself borderline psychosis-inducing, I know Tobi personally from our childhood. So seeing him in this video being reacted to by an American youtuber just breaks my reality.
Not only has EC, who I've seen live once in like 2013 when they were still relatively unknown, gone on to international success, but also WBTBWB. And seeing both Tobi and Marci doing this is just... nuts.
I love how they purposefully made a shitty low-budget shot-by-shot recreation of the original video... Like they actually built the hypa-hypa logo themselves but in a shitty way, amazing stuff! :D
And used the cheapest possible Fiat model, the company which owns Ferrari :)
I died by the random squeals the vocalist threw in randomly, damn this was easily a contendor of the funniest video ive ever seen, might be tied or abit after the original Hypa Hypa. WBTBWB was awesome af, gotta check em out. Had to edit this one, youve hit 70k on the damn number at the time i commented this, well done Tank!! :D

Oh my god, this song is just chaos, so hilarious! I saw WBTBWB live for the first time as an opening act to Callejon about 14 years ago, when they had a coconut for a drummer :D we'd simply chat to them before the show... it was a tiny venue and my head would hit the guitar while headbanging. good old times!

I gotta say, i dont dislike this at all. Its total absolut fucking chaos but i kinda love it. Not in the same way as the other versions which are more my thing. But as you said the over the top ridiculousness of this is just awesome. And it kinda does make me wanna see more of this band and see what they can do. Video was killer again!

Been looking forward to this, I remember when you reviewed the original saying about We Butter the Bread with Butter, so seeing this was being done, and watching the trailer, I couldn't wait for the react. Looking at the release it's astonishing, you get MC Thunder 2 on there as well as Hate/Love, as well as a tonne of other stuff besides the refits of Hypa Hypa. Cant wait to listen.

Man, for the longest time I just could not enjoy metalcore/deathcore, me being drawn most to Folk, Power, Speed, Melo-Death. But, much like my beard, this version really grew on me and is acting like a gateway drug to other music I am starting to enjoy. And I can honestly say watching your reaction to it over and over actually helped with that too.
Say, if you like German bands, Folk, harsh vocals and powerful choruses, give Equilibrium a go. A good starting point is "Blut im auge".

Over a year later, I'm checking out the shit. So far this is definitely your best as you were nigh on wetting yourself with laughter with the way WBTBWB made it their own. Still have a special place for the Saltatio Mortis one though as I love and adore both the hurdy gurdy and the bagpipes. Lungs are screwed so can't do pipes, wonder where the hurdy gurdy was when I was learning violin though :)
