Btw 257 are the last three numbers of the zip code of Essen-Kupferdreh in Germany, that's where they come from.
This actually isn't their first venture with a German hip hop artist,they have one with I think well known rapper named Sido,the song is called Best Day.I kinda like it.

Funniest thing is the bad feedback they've received on that track in the comments. Although it seems that those talking shit there were mainly 16 year olds flaming their favourite band for going somewhere else than what they were used to...
I’m really not in to rap, but the flow of the 257ers was really infectious. And while I don’t understand what they are saying, I appreciate how articulate it sounds (my main problem with mainstream rap is how difficult it can be to understand it). And I totally agree on the chorus. Definitely feels like the weak link to an otherwise cohesive and catchy song

That guy used to make Metal and later switched to Rap. But you can still hear Rock influence in his songs. His lyrics and Videos are super funny, sadly much of it gets lost in translation.
He (Alligatoah) actually did a remake of his album in metal versions on the wacken open air channel on UA-cam.

Also Alligatoah's music videos deserve to be checked out. For "Wo kann man das kaufen?" he invented a detergent and the video is actually an ad for this product, but criticizing that ads sometimes promise things that have nothing to fo with the product.
Like most comments said. U really should watch their most popular song ,,Holz". Even if germans dont know the band 257ers, everybody in germany knows this song. It broke the charts 4-5years ago and was a popular club song, too.

Actually this version got me into the Hypa, Hypa hype three days ago as I was looking for another 257ers song for a pandemic party night... Found it as it had been released for 45 min. or so. You should really check out "Ich und mein Holz" by 257ers, then you might see why they work well with EC :D Also your pronounciation is great and love your wife's reaction

As mentioned in another comment, there is a great german rap artist called Alligatoah. He actually recently did a remake of his famous songs as metal versions for the wacken open air UA-cam channel. As part of their covid concerts.
Maybe you wanna check it out as well or even compare it to his normal songs.
Or well. There is just so much to discover when you really dig into the German music scene. So many interesting crossovers or just great artists (even english singing) and so on. :D
done exactly right. The song really only comes off after the second or third listen. Since I already knew the 257er (and had seen them live 3 times in the past) I knew roughly what was coming, including the very "explicit" lyrics. Still, I was disappointed the first time I listened to it ... but now I'm celebrating this hypa quickie. and respect for your really good video, even though it is sung in German.

I really like the music of the 257er and I love EC - but I don´t know about this collaboration... But I LOVE your reaction videos!!!
These videos, plus the original video, have made me want a connected storyline with all these characters...sort of like a West Germany-side Story.

When I first heard this version I was really surprised that I liked it so much. It went to my playlist almost immediately.
I also want to recomment a translator. It is called DeepL and it´s better than the google translator. It uses Convolutional Neural Networks I think.
You can just put in full text and it translates it almost perfect (and it doesn´t fuck up the sentence structure like the google one does :-) )
I also wanted to say that I really really enjoy your videos. I never thought that I would subscribe a reaction chanel, but with the backround informations from you it gets really interesting and I also found several new bands I listen to now.

Almost right the "zwei fünf siebeners". The issue is always with the zw in zwei. I had a roommate how learned German and she needed months to get the pronunciation right. But for a non-german-speaker it's quite good :) and definetly understandable :D
257ers are almost from my hometown (its just around the corner) and I think you have to check out the christmas song "Holz". Its way over played by the german radio but it's funny. Holzi Holzi Holz....

I really share you opinion on this song. First it's really akward but with every time I listen to it it gets better and better.
Dude it was so hard not to turn that shit off when I listened the first time :D But it has grown on me, too. Shneezin and Mike are killing it!

Tank, you did it quite properly - listened it once again immediately. ;) For first, I have got this song in my Yandex Radio suggestion - and my thought was some kinda "wtf". But the more I repeated it, the more I found it catchy. Especially at the second singer part. His rhythmical non-pausing reading is like a steam train. I also dug German language. Being a Russian myself, I have understood nothing, but nevertheless. :) And yess, pre-chorus is really awesome!

If you enjoy hip hop in different languages I would recommend a band called "Svenska Akademin"
They were a group that combined hip hop and reggae sung in the most southern of the Swedish dialects.
I would recommend you listen to "Snapphaneklanen" and "Du Vill Så Du Kan" Just be warned, the videos are from around 2006 so not the best quality. Still worth a listen though, they owned the scene here in Sweden for over a decade.

They used their punch line "Wer ficken will muss freundlich sein", who wants to f*** needs to be friendly, in the context of getting a pity f*** from his own mom.
The lyrics are really freaky.

The first time hearing I didn't think it was bad but everything sounded kinda weird and out of place. But after relistening it changed my mind completely. I love how the guitar comes in in the pre chorus with the doubled voices.
Also your pronounciation wasn't that bad. The Z in Zwei is pronounced kinda like an Ts and S in Sascha sounds like the english Z, so almost the opposite
i just watched all your reaction to hypa hypa and i must say its nice that you could be sitting and thinking " i wanna hear hypa hypa, but a more mellow version(axel one) or dance version (257ers)" and you can get it damn that nice, the song also reminds me of another yt who showed that the gangnam style music could be used in other songs and still work just fine, i get the same vibe from this song

I really like it, that you’re open for all kinds of music... even fucking German rap :D
The 257ers are more like a fun rap band. That’s why I like them so much. If you really want lo listen to them I can suggest “Baby du riechst”, “Über alle Berge” or “Auseinanda”. “Holz” is funny, but it has a very different style.
The 257ers have a special place in my heart, and really the crazy lyrics with the video keeps me to play it every day. Because Mike is usually looking nice, and yes here he looks kind of like the tiger king.😃

What I noticed with these versions is that I expected something impactful after the really powerful original Hypa Hypa, which other genres just can't do. So it needs some time to get used to it and the songs get better and better every time you listen. I like how they actually let the songs be interpretations and not just imitations. Makes it so enjoyable!

Like the Sasha Version so it is with the 257er Version, it´s not my taste of music but i know and everybody will agree with it, when you are on a party or have a party with friends and family ongoing and a certaint level of alcohol is there this both songs are the loudest songs who everybody will sing with you.
What i really like on this react was that you give the song a second view and add some more thoughts to it. Maybe you should give this schema of reacting to other songs. A first only "pre-"view and than a second "re-"view with all your technical knowlage and thoughts about the video. It could bring more flow throught the music clip but it will also honoured more your knowledge because i know it from myself there a some pauses where i only think when will he resume so i can hear and see the track with him (the react´or).
