I MUST try this out. I love wall art like this and your tutorial makes it so simple. I'm afraid what just popped into my head for it will be too much of a task, but inspiration is good. And I love the hearts and how you decided to ombre them-lovely. Thank you.
Seriously you are incredible! i love how creative and memorable all your diy's are, ive been super sick lately and staying at home all day and these videos inspire me to get back into my creative side. It's been months since i've drawn or created and in the past 2 weeks i've started again and couldnt be happier! thank you bionerd!
My mom ran an in-home daycare when I was a kid. One year for Mother's Day she did something similar to this. It was before digital photography, so she sat the kids in chair against a wall, shone a light a them, taped a piece of construction paper (color of their choice) against the wall behind their head, and traced. It was tough getting some of the little ones to hold still, but it came out really well and the moms LOVED it.
Ohhh, goodness, that makes me flustered. Haha. I'm glad you got it-I was hoping it arrived safely. I bought all of the supplies for this and intend to start taking pictures this weekend. I'll let you know on your blog how well it turns out. ♥
I'm not an artist & I can't do a single art at all, that's why everytime I watch DIY video or other art related video, It always inspire me. Thank You....
This is so nice, not sure why but when I saw this on instagram I knew it was you right away too lol I am also thinking of making my own art since I been looking for having specific look of sakura blossoms art in my room and I happen to own two canvases, so I decided I would love to do one and one my mom to do-- that way I will have our art forever :)
you can also do this with a bright light. just hang your paper on the wall and shine a bright light (e.g. a lamp from your desk), let the person you want for your silhouette sit in between the light and the paper and you can trace the silhouette with paint, afterwards you can colour it in :) this is what we used to do at primary school
I just bought the supplies to make this today! So excited to attempt to make it for my mom for her birthday. Luckily, it is black friday and so I got a deal for a 7-pack of 11 by 14 in canvas boards at Michael's. I also bought the same bottles of black and red paint. I hope it turns out alright because it seems pretty easy. (:
You must! I got your card in in my P.O box today! It was so sweet of you to send me a card. I really loved it..and I like how you put down "talentofnone"..girrrlll I seek you out in my comment box for your comment!! ^_^"
I know you don't use them in this video, but I wanted to make sure you see this! Where did you buy your pattern weights??? I've been trying to find some similar and I can't find them anywhere! All I can find are those bean-bag looking ones and I'm not a fan. Thanks in advance!!
I remember we did this in my gr. 6 class, but it was more noob...and on construction paper.. We traced the outlines of our shadows, and filled it in with a collage of pictures that represented us. So if you fill it in with some artwork pattern, it might look cute too! ^^ Oh, now I want to do this, and fill it in by drawing. :0
