Great job and great tip about the stuffing. I have been crafting for years and never realized that a cheap pillow from the store is cheaper than the stuffing you buy in the bag..Thanks so much. And keep the videos coming. You make everything look so easy.
I love your home DIY videos! SO SO MUCH! I just moved into my own apartment and can use every little creative idea I can find to make it look like a real home. Thank you!
As thrifty as I am, I NEVER thought about buying a cheap pillow and using the stuffing! Thanks so much for the tip and I love the pillows, they are gorgeous!
I use pillows as stuffing too! Thanks for the tutorial. I bought a pillow like the first one you did, but they are expensive- now I can just make more! If the fabric unravels and you really wanted to use it, you could fold it in half and sew it along the edge right sides together and flip it.. still pretty easy. :)
So excited to make the ruffle pillow for my boyfriend's place, his couch is so jazzy I think it'll be a really sweet and useful gift. I have no sewing experience but I'll be sure to make a little video of it!
I LOVE these DIY videos! Adorable pillows! You are such a good teacher! I have a sewing machine but I never knew how to hand sew seams and now I know. Thanks!
Thank you for posting this! I love how you showed us lots of neat and useful hand-stitching techniques. Even though I mainly sew with a machine, there are many times that I find that I need to hand-stitch something such as details, finishing up seams/holes, etc. Truthfully, there aren't many resources on hand-stitching, and I had to hunt down a copy of the 1970s Better Homes and Gardens Sewing Book to teach myself! XD
Wow what a cool idea to buy pillows instead of that expensive batting crap, I also used the bed foam for a twin mattress to make cute fabric wall tiles for my daughters room and put poster board on the back and hung with command strips, I love it
I have to say, this has been my favorite DIY tus far. The reason being you showed how to do the hand stitching methods that should be used vs. the one not to be used. You also included where to get lots of stuffing for super cheap :D Now I can start quilting. Oh, do a simple hand stitch quilt if possible!!
I haven't watched a video of hers in months (simple because I haven't gone on UA-cam much), but I think she's really changed. In a good way. I don't know how to explain, but it's like she's more confident or something.
I once saw a semi truck full of piglets. There were these 4 in. by 2in. holes in the side were the piglets would stick out there little snouts. It was adorable.
Wow, one thing that always held me back from making my own pillow was the cost of the inserts. Thanks so much for the idea of just using the fluff from a cheap pillow. Simple but genius :)))
Omg i need to do this. I'm soon redoing my room and its going to be white and turquoise and i really want to make those pillows to match my room. thanks for this DIY
totally agree with you on the windmill thing! i live in an area where most/all of our energy is water generated, so the first time i visited southern california and i saw the FIELDS of windmills i was amazed. I mustve taken 50 pictures of just windmills from the car! haha
I don't know where you live, but here in the Mid-West at Wal-Mart, I can get a HUGE bag of stuffing for $0.97, but a cheap, plain pillow will run me at least $4. I make crochet Amigurumis for mine and my friend's kid's all the time The pillows are super cute btw!
Love those pillows :3 Okay, so weirdest thing I've seen on the road: a 20ft tall tower of fire. Atmos Energy had a natural gas backup and they were bleeding the lines (opening a valve and setting the gas on fire) to prevent an explosion downtown where I live.
Love this tutorial! MUCH cheaper than accent pillows from the store, but they are just as beautiful :) Thanks for the idea, I'll definitely be doing this for my own home!
i love the spirally pillow! gonna try to make a few for my room to go with my ( eventual) room redecoration... uhm a weird thing I have seen... A giant ketchup bottle... it's in collinsville, illinois...a few cities away from where I live. It's actually a water tower painted to look that way. .
You should make a DIY dreamcatcher video! :) I have seen some before, but your awesome explaining skills and overall amazing-ness would make it so awesome! :) and love the pillows!
Just wanna say thank you for this. And also you seem to have gotten a lot more confident since I started watching your videos a few years ago :) hope that doesn't sound weird :3
I live in central FL. Near the Celebration area (Thats like the residential part of Disney) I've seen, TWICE, a guy dressed up as Santa (white hair and long beard and Santa hat) but with shorts, flip flops, and a tropical "Hawaiian" T-shirt riding a bike! Greatest thing ever. XD
Your videos are so nice, you are such a pretty girl ! I like the fact that you make lots of DIYs, you are creative and girly ! By the way, I loooooove your dog !!! I am SO in love with Spitz and Pomeranians ! I wish I could see more videos of your little doggy
Hi!! First let me say that I think you are so amazing and creative in all you do and I thank you for showing us your skills! I really want to learn how to sew and I'm a true newbie. When I go to the fabric store, how do I ask for the amount of fabric you show for the pillows, for the 16x16 pillow? I'd like to make four of them. As in,"Hello! Can I please have so and so of this fabric?" Thanks!
I love the unicorn comment!!! And the weirdest thing I've seen wasn't on the freeway, it was when I was trying to get to Walmart by bypassing the freeway (the freeway heads northwest instead of just west), and there was a huge truck that had to stop at all the street so the electric company could move the power lines...OMG it took FOREVER to get around him! 30 mins and I traveled 1/2 mile! >
I don't comment a lot, but I just wanted to say that you did a great job on this video! It started out super-cute, then a quick, fun, easy DIY with great directions and visuals. I also really liked the end where you just chatted randomly a little! Anyway, I really enjoyed it, keep up the good work! :D
Oh, love it when you come upon the person driving and their dog is so far forward and they are so far back until you pass, it looks like the dog driving. :P
Don't sell yourself short dear. Anyone can make something. You just have to have the drive and the will to do it. You should try it. Who knows? You may learn something. 👍😁 Don't give in and never give up.
Cute tutorial, hun! Thanks for teaching the backstitching, as I'm pretty much stabstitch girl. ;D And thank goodness for your tip on using the stuffing from a Walmart pillow--I was totally thinking about how pricey it was for stuffing that one time I made my own pillows. *high fives*
in Ontario, my family was roadtripping for like 6 hours and there was a truck in front of us on the highway and a turkey climbed out from under the truck and headed into the forest. it probably hitched a ride and ended up in another city lol
Great job and great tip about the stuffing. I have been crafting for years and never realized that a cheap pillow from the store is cheaper than the stuffing you buy in the bag..Thanks so much. And keep the videos coming. You make everything look so easy.
I have so much respect for people who hand sew everything! I definitely don't have the patience for it!
I love your home DIY videos! SO SO MUCH! I just moved into my own apartment and can use every little creative idea I can find to make it look like a real home. Thank you!
You're absolutely the QUEEN of DIY! The pillows are so nice and at first looked hard to make but you made it look so easy to make! Thank you!
As thrifty as I am, I NEVER thought about buying a cheap pillow and using the stuffing! Thanks so much for the tip and I love the pillows, they are gorgeous!

of course! It's more time consuming but is much more worth it in the end.
It's awesome that you showed us how we can do it by hand!!
Wow what a cool idea to buy pillows instead of that expensive batting crap, I also used the bed foam for a twin mattress to make cute fabric wall tiles for my daughters room and put poster board on the back and hung with command strips, I love it
The one with the ruffles is sooo pretty!
I really like how you showed the different types of hand stitches you showed this time ^^.
That first pillow is so beautiful! It looks really professional and expensive!
Wow, can't believe you did this without a sewing machine! You should include that in your title. Very good job!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels that way about the wind mills
I have to say, this has been my favorite DIY tus far. The reason being you showed how to do the hand stitching methods that should be used vs. the one not to be used. You also included where to get lots of stuffing for super cheap :D Now I can start quilting.

I really love the first pillow. Gotta give it a try
I haven't watched a video of hers in months (simple because I haven't gone on UA-cam much), but I think she's really changed. In a good way. I don't know how to explain, but it's like she's more confident or something.
Always wondered how to do that ruffle flower pillow! Thank you for posting soooo muuuch! Should do more around-the-house diy :)
This is a really cool inspiration to create for a pillow without having to sew...great video.
Can't wait to try this! I want to make like 50 of them in all shapes and sizes.
I once saw a semi truck full of piglets. There were these 4 in. by 2in. holes in the side were the piglets would stick out there little snouts. It was adorable.

Love your ideas...especially the Wal-mart pillow. Trully a money saver. Thanks.
Loved your video ! The pillows are awesome. Thanks for the stuffing tip.
Haha, its cool. You were trying and doing your best to show us what we need to do to make neat pillows
Omg i need to do this. I'm soon redoing my room and its going to be white and turquoise and i really want to make those pillows to match my room. thanks for this DIY
Beautiful work. I love that you teach stitches.
I love this it is soo easy to stitch and is so cute and looks so much better then most stiching pillows
Yay my photos got shown!! I was the first 2 pictures...thank you for showing how to do these it was so easy to make and cost me nothing at all!!
You make me want to make pillows, and I don't own a sofa. I might make some for my bed. Those are very cute!
I'd love the doted one with a contrasting colour but it'll be the frilly one that I'll make for my mammy, mother's day is coming up
I loooooove how simple this one is!!!!! Thank you soooo much!!
totally agree with you on the windmill thing! i live in an area where most/all of our energy is water generated, so the first time i visited southern california and i saw the FIELDS of windmills i was amazed. I mustve taken 50 pictures of just windmills from the car! haha

I love sewing! Thanks for this awesome idea. Stuffing from crafts store is a ripp off.
Ruffle pillow is absolutely adorable!
Awesome! I just got my sewing machine and besides clothes that I have to fix this would be something fun to try!
Nice to know I'm not the only one who can't follow a line when hand sewing! Nice pillows too, but I have enough pillows.
Love those pillows :3 Okay, so weirdest thing I've seen on the road: a 20ft tall tower of fire. Atmos Energy had a natural gas backup and they were bleeding the lines (opening a valve and setting the gas on fire) to prevent an explosion downtown where I live.
Cuteness overload! Gotta love a puppy at the start of a video
I love this! I was just at Pier 1 yesterday and I was so miffed that all the throw pillows are like $40 or more! Thank you so much!

You’re right about the rip off part, Lol! I just wish that Walmart would carry more stuff for my sewing projects. Good job!
I like the grey....I'm going to change the color of my sofa..so it will tone it down.

Love! They remind me of the exceedingly expensive anthropologie bedding.
very nice work, you ,make it look so easy.
Thank you for sharing

Buying a pillow for $2.50 for stuffing! VERY CLEVER! Thanks for that tip! Cute pillow.
This is so doable. I'm going to try. I have some frumpy old pillows on my couch.
Don't sell yourself short dear. Anyone can make something. You just have to have the drive and the will to do it. You should try it. Who knows? You may learn something. 👍😁 Don't give in and never give up.
very nice, i love the ruffle look!
wow i love this tutorial!!! you should definitely dp more pillow diys in the future ♥
Omg so soo pretty I tried it once and it came out pretty
Cute tutorial, hun! Thanks for teaching the backstitching, as I'm pretty much stabstitch girl. ;D And thank goodness for your tip on using the stuffing from a Walmart pillow--I was totally thinking about how pricey it was for stuffing that one time I made my own pillows. *high fives*
in Ontario, my family was roadtripping for like 6 hours and there was a truck in front of us on the highway and a turkey climbed out from under the truck and headed into the forest. it probably hitched a ride and ended up in another city lol
Wow saw myself next to you! Gotta say, pretty freaking epic! Thanks!
Love it! You are a DIY queen for real!!
Thanks for the tip on the stuffing!
really cute and simple! Keep them coming!!!
love this!!! *bowing down on my knees* chanting "Teach me to be more creative DIY Queen!!!"
Do you think it would look okay with the ruffles on the top and bottom, maybe in two layers? Like a combination of the two pillow ideas?
you welcome! it does not sound weird at all!
Luuuuuh-ve! You are the DIY queen! Looks like I have something to do this weekend :)
The first one is totally cute! Can you make one with a huge bowtie?
HOW DID YOU STYLE YOUR BANGS?! I LOVE THEM!!!!
Stuffing at craft stores are more expensive. Going to Walmart and buying a $2.00 pillow for its stuffing is a great idea.
I usually recycle stuffing from old pillows and cushions now but buy a cheap pillow if I don't have any old stuff to reuse.
