      everything looks good on my truck.. it seems just the bed itself is leaning to the right, any ideas?

    That was a good introduction. It would have been sweet to see you replace some of the parts so you could underscore the purpose of them to the layman. And that way at the end, we could see the huge difference between the before and after pictures. 😁👌🏻

    Hello very good explanation, what happens if you only change the main leaf at one side but this new leaf is just a little bit shorter or longer, will the vehicle have a problem with that? I mean for heavy duty vehicles

    If that was me inspecting the underbody of THAT vehicle I’m pretty sure it would go like this…(me phoning the customer) Hi this is Bob from 1A auto and we’ve found the problem , it seems you either live way to close to the beach or you actually park your car in the water each night after work? The suspension is the least of your worries because i would be amazed if your chassis could hold a bucket of plastic bananas let alone the tub of that ute , we also added a “y” to the name of the the vehicle written on your tail gate, we couldn’t fix your brake so we made your horn louder.
    My opinion is insure it for market value then drive 10klm away from the beach and set fire to it.
    👍

    Hey I noticed my truck bed was crooked but only the back right corner was but the bed lined up right with the rear window and the frame, I looked at both the back corners of the bed and it turns out the right shackel is taller the left one, do all I need to do is buy 2 shackels of the same size?

    Leaf springs yes. Shock have nothing to do with ride height. Bad grommets and what nots yes.

    If the leaf shackles are worn down or bound up bolts and pins, can this cause the bed of the truck to bounce on bumpy roads. Like not the entire bed, but from the back of the rear wheel well to the tailgate?

    • @craigcarlock5799
      @craigcarlock5799 Рік тому

      Possibly. However, since the movement is localized to a specific area, I'm more inclined to think it's a body (bed) mount bushing. I had a very similar issue on an F-150. I replaced the bushings and the problem went away.

    I have a 2000 s10 ZR2 and the passenger side leaf spring either collapsed or broken. there's about a 1-2 inch gap in the spot where it moved. does it need replaced or is it something in the front suspension?

    Must be a Dakota thing? My passenger rear corner has been sagged since day 1, but hasn't affected shocks, ride or tire wear etc.. ain't broke don't fix it. Might be bed alignment, even the 92 D250 Cummins my parent had had a lean to it on the corner.

      That's actually clean underneath compared to most other trucks in Michigan. Plow trucks with salters around here will only last 8 years before the rust completely eats away at structural components on the undercarriage

I'm thankful that I'm in a position to be able to refuse that 🚛 because with all that rust I'm sure the break lines are rusted out ⛽ line's. Should I go on. facts I stopped touching rust like that 20 year's ago or so real talk. I just refuse to work on rust I get down south and started loving 🚗 again no rust an old 🚗 here can still look new under body. You will work on it because your a business and hey if your in a rust stat what can you do right. Lol
