Living near the southern border, I get to see a lot of sketchy stuff as people try to cram in a bunch of things into trailers and trucks with homemade racks. I’m surprised I don’t see highway patrol ever pull some of them over.
Hi ya Rory. I'm from Kent, south east England, UK 🏴. I've travelled and worked all over Europe in my time, but I've never been to the USA yet. The nearest I've been to your homeland was a family wedding in the Dominican Republic 16 yrs ago. But a visit to the USA has always been on my bucket list, and I'll make it happen one day for sure. I found your channel within hours of stumbling across the MORR channel about 18 months ago. And I've been a avid viewer of both channels ever since. I've always known I'm destined to visit America one day, but your fantastic country is so vast that i couldn't decide which state i wanted to visit the most...? But I found the answer when I became hooked on yours and Matts channels. Utah is where I want to visit. I got so engrossed in Utah that I couldn't stop researching stuff on google. I even enjoy using google earth to fly about and have a look at Utah. I knew Utah was a big state, but I needed a size reference. So I googled....."size difference between Utah and the UK". Unbelievable Rory...! I know how big the UK is cos I've worked and travelled all over it from head to toe over the years. And I now fully understand how vast Utah is cos its approx 90% of the size of the entire UK..!! That's a big state Rory. The vast moon like dessert terrains that you boys operate in is unlike anything we have in the UK. I was born in the 60's and my dear old mother raised me on cowboy and western movies. Whenever I watch your videos they always trigger happy memories of my mother cos she loved her cowboy movies and her western music. And she instilled your culture and your music into me. I'm still a big fan of the spaghetti westerns and country and western music . Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Johnny Cash etc. And without doubt, your offroad wrecker 'Trailmater', is my favourite truck out of all the channels I watch. The Morrvair is a lovely looking bit of kit, but in my eyes it's not a patch on the beastly beauty and monstrous growling sound of your 'Trailmater'. A long time ago I watched one of your videos where you said people had suggested you maybe smarten up the 'battle scarred' cab on Trailmater...? And when you explained to us all your reasons for not wanting her to look 'straight and shiny' etc, I totally understood what you meant and also why. I agree with you Rory, don't ever change anything on Trailmater. Her body work perfectly matches the deep menacing growl she let's out when you give her a free reign. A beauty and a beast all rolled into one. We don't have offroad vehicles like yours in the UK. We have got a few man made offroad courses and clubs etc, but our offroad vehicles are nothing like the monsters you boys build and use in the states. Ours are mostly slightly adapted range rover defenders and discoveries. I've never done any pleasure offroading myself Rory, and the nearest thing I've ever owned that came anywhere near to being capable of handling a bit of offroad terrain was a year 2011 Mitsubishi Barbarian L200 pick up truck. It was a 2.5 litre diesel turbo and my particular model came in a choice of two different BHP size engines. Mine was the higher BHP version. I loved that truck Rory. It was the crew cab version with full leather interior. 6 speed manual gear box. 4WD selector. And hard bouncy leaf springs. I didn't wrap it up in cotton wool though. Just like you and your Trailmater, I used it in the way it was designed and built to be used. It had dents and scrapes on every panel, and it was always dirty looking, but that's the way I liked it. The only thing I used to do when it was empty, was chuck 4 x bags of sand in the back to add a bit of weight on the leaf springs. Otherwise I would be driving down a tarmac road,....drive over a matchstick,....and my head would nearly hit the ceiling with the jolt from the rear springs 😆! But unfortunately Rory, Mitsubishi trucks like my faithful Barbarian are a highly sought after vehicle for thieves in the UK. I woke up one morning and it was gone. And to make matters worse, just as I thought I was getting over the heartache of losing my pride and joy, my wife rang me at work with some more devastating news...? Purely by mistake, we'd forgotten to renew the insurance. I remember getting the email for renewal from my insurance company, but I was busy at the time and I also remember thinking to myself..." I'll sort that out later". But of course, I forgot about it. So not only have I never seen my truck since that fateful morning, I couldn't claim on the insurance either. Lesson learned. One day I would like to get another Barbarian,...deliberately put a few dents in the body work, and take the doors off in honour of your scarily powerful Trailmater. Long story Rory. I hope you get to read it though mate. Great channel. Keep up the good work. All the best from Walter in the UK 🏴🤝🇺🇸.....👏👏👏💪👍

Since comments help your algorithm, here ya go. Not just a comment, but a suggestion. For the longevity, double plate those hangers, and build a bridge between them. To keep the"wallow" out of the hole, weld in some hardened steel. If you have a lath, or take it to Paul, and old cam makes a great hardened piece. When I worked at a machine shop we used to use cam pieces to make hardened seats for heads.

In grand junction Colorado, there was a leaf spring builder who built spherical bushings for the leaf spring round. The bolt stayed parallel to the frame , but the bushing had an axis that stayed parallel to the spring.
Me and my old boss did a spring replacement on a loaded garbage truck on the side of the road we had a wrecker lift rear just enough to get it out and back in, great job and video stay safe from GA and stay safe
I'm a huge fan of that wrecker that Matt is building, but Mater is the OG when it comes to off road recovery vehicles. That truck will always be the aspiration in my mind for off road wreckers. All the tech in the world won't change the fact that you still have to drive the truck when it comes time. I know Matt has some mileage, but I think Rory may have him stacked in that department.
The factory spring mounts were shot from all the flexing Mater sees!!! Your new plates are definitely a major improvement!! That customers trailer looked like what I see around SC. Way overloaded and broken axles.....
Don't you have one of those tapered hole alignment tools? Man they come in handy. Drive the tool in from one side and start the bolt on the other side, then drive it all the way in.
Thanks for the videos. As an old time tow truck driver (70 Chevy 1 ton Holmes wrecker body) and my own 73 K10 plow truck (Betty Lou), I really appreciate what you and your team can do. "Rock On" or Off
I do believe that trailer was not strong enough for whatever they were carrying. Good job getting it to level. Thought for sure it was going to tip over. Good job fixing the leaf spring mounts. Welding by Braile. impressive Rory! Wish I could be in SLC to see the wrecker games but I'm counting on lots of my favorite youtubers to be recording the event. It's going to be awesome for sure!
Look up sketchy in the dictionary and you’ll find this episode. From the trailer on the side of the road to the bottle jack on the spring. Always fun to watch.
If I wanted to support you guys I'd buy a bottle jack and send it to you. Seems like it would be better support than a t-shirt given the leaf spring life. Great content again guys, thanks.
I loved your short stream the other day when you said that nothing needed to be done to get Trail Mater ready for the Olympics while the others were building complete rigs from the ground up... 🙂 just a little TLC maintenance... wow the trailer is/was destroyed 🤔 Inter3esting combinations of jacks and lifts so you can separate the leaf spring to create work space 🙂

Your Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Comment. Reminded me of a story back in my retail days. I worked for RadioShack for almost 30 years. Back in the early 80s I ran a few stores in South Carolina. This was during my early Batchelor Days. I shared an apartment with a young man who managed a Shoe Show or Shoe Town Store. Theft is always a problem in any retail operation. On this day one of his female employees got so excited she couldn't think of anything else to say but Steak Dinner Steak Dinner.

Nice bush ings. You really stretched those holes out. Good job tightening her up. Rory "CLUTCH" Irish for the win. Thank you.
Hey Rory !!! When watching the under ""TATER"" videos ,, Can really see those spring shackles flex to the extreme as with Eric & his wrecker ,they break the shackle bolts !! Great to see you guys having "FUN"" doing what you do best !! 🤔😚🙄🙃😉😏😏👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the entertainment and education your channel provides to us, also thanks for the plug to support the channel. The shirt will make me look smarter on the trails. 👍👍
B roll editing must be a blast for you guys. thanks for sharing!
Vegas has you as the favorite in the Games. You and the Trail Mater are really the only team with any experience.
I drove a wrecker for 12 years. Messing with that trailer brought back memories.
Tow truck yoga!!... Love the humor. Just imagine if all places-of-work prioritized laughing and having fun over the dull and monotonous whenever possible. The world would be a better place.
This can't be overstated.
Rory is the best driver and Trail Mater is the king of the wrecker world! 👑 The Olympics will be competing for 2nd place
Greetings from other side of this jem we share
Nice post . Thanks for those lol moments
Team Dimond bill for the win
Mike ya need a popup rockpecker to cover butcrack 🤔 or is it a teaser for the ladies watching 🤭
👍🤙🖖
In grand junction Colorado, there was a leaf spring builder who built spherical bushings for the leaf spring round. The bolt stayed parallel to the frame , but the bushing had an axis that stayed parallel to the spring.
Rory you would have no issues driving directly into a Madmax movie with Trailmater .....
👍👍😉😉😁😁💥💥
Me and my old boss did a spring replacement on a loaded garbage truck on the side of the road we had a wrecker lift rear just enough to get it out and back in, great job and video stay safe from GA and stay safe
I'm a huge fan of that wrecker that Matt is building, but Mater is the OG when it comes to off road recovery vehicles. That truck will always be the aspiration in my mind for off road wreckers. All the tech in the world won't change the fact that you still have to drive the truck when it comes time. I know Matt has some mileage, but I think Rory may have him stacked in that department.
Hi Rory I love your hoodie but I'm in the Philippines. I'm counting on you Rory for the wrecker games. 👍
I love everything about TRLM8R, (so BADASS) and I’d say she’ll (or is it he’ll) is definitely going to win the battle
Love the custom bent license plate on the mater 😂👍😎
The factory spring mounts were shot from all the flexing Mater sees!!! Your new plates are definitely a major improvement!! That customers trailer looked like what I see around SC. Way overloaded and broken axles.....
"Rembrant, I'll take it!" I'm stealing this
I had to buy a diamond billed rock pecker shirt and sticker. Sticker is on my jeep and rocking it. You guys are awesome!!!
NIce job on the spring mounts!! Looks much stronger than the factory ones!! You guys are going to kick butt at the Wrecker Games!!!
Don't you have one of those tapered hole alignment tools? Man they come in handy. Drive the tool in from one side and start the bolt on the other side, then drive it all the way in.
Thanks from England.
Rory and the crew awesome job and Rory Trail Mater is a Awesome truck and all of your vehicles are Awesome
Plumbers crack has been a known thing for a long while... Well Rorey, thanks for introducing us to the recovery fabricators crack
Taking care of the beast! Great job guys.
Thanks for the videos. As an old time tow truck driver (70 Chevy 1 ton Holmes wrecker body) and my own 73 K10 plow truck (Betty Lou), I really appreciate what you and your team can do. "Rock On" or Off
Rory, Trailmater for the Win. God Bless
👍👍 Outstanding Sir!!
As you guys say "SWEET" 😍 Rory I'm getting so excited now I can't wait. I hope you get loads of coverage 💯👌👍
It's nice to see you fellas build something on the truck while the other boys are building entire rigs...keep up the good work
I do believe that trailer was not strong enough for whatever they were carrying.
Good luck 🤞. I wish you guys the best 😘
Look up sketchy in the dictionary and you’ll find this episode. From the trailer on the side of the road to the bottle jack on the spring. Always fun to watch.
Excited to see you compete at the Wrecker games in March. I know you will give Matt and the others hell !!!
Please… have no pity!
Was the race at the end of the video on Matt's turf?
Ginger Billy is gonna be the winner. Maybe trailmater in second place.
Love the rc crawlers in the back
Glad to see those leaf springs flex so well. I've got a set of ORD custom leaves on my K30 build (on my channel) but I haven't finished it yet.
I love your channel ❤ you inspire me to chase my dreams with every video you upload.
Haha you changed it before I could comment

@@PNWSubaruAdventures My Mac computer does the same thing, only worse!!! It will completely choose a different word. Of course, this is compounded by the fact that I am a terrible speller.
Always enjoy watching rhe interaction amongst yall...always cracks me up.. yoga- relaxation with rory... before trail recovery or just off roading...i like to loosen up by some shop yoga..lmao.. then the butt crack shot..lmao.. crack kills.. champion crack soon to be.. that trailer tire on side of road was the sketchy stuff... the in shop stuff seemed way more sorta safer.. lmao.. love the show and again...always enjoy seeing all 3 of yall together..the comedy is endless..
For the type of work and the environment you guys work in, I am really shocked that there are not a lot more repairs. That guy must have been hauling the trophies for the wrecker games.
He had a policy that if an employee caught someone stealing a pair of shoes he would pay for a steak dinner. One day one of his employees did that. On this day one of his female employees got so excited she couldn't think of anything else to say but Steak Dinner Steak Dinner.
Proven ❤ trail mater will always be champion off-road wrecker paved the way for all the off-road wreckers
Not to worry TRAIL MATER IS THE KING and Rory Mike Sean are the BEST Team
👍👍👍👑👑👑🇺🇸🏁🌎
Look at that weld. I mean I don't know about welding but it looked nice and neat !
