Phil lost weight and sounds better than he has in 24 years. They are starting to sound so much better every show. Honestly I would love them to drop a new album in tribute to the bros. I think they could come up with some amazing music for us to appreciate
we saw them in Detroit in Nov and it was cathartic to say the least. But beyond that, the level of energy in the crowd, the level of musicianship from Zakk and Rex, but the two who really surprised me were Phil and Charlie. Phil sounds as good as he did mid-90's. You can tell that he feels the magic they made in these songs and he brings it. Those are the songs of his youth. There's so much vinegar. He is transported. And Charlie. Vinnie's groove is so under appreciated, so overshadowed and overlooked. Charlie has nailed so much of his nuance. It may not be Pantera, but especially when you are in the arena, you close your eyes, and its like being in a time machine.
This is so raw and so respectful and those guys are doing Vinnie and Dime justice by playing their so songs with much emotion going through them for the great band that they were! 🤘🏻peace✌🏻
Zakk’s brain must be like a library of riffs. Even with rehearsals he’s constantly playing shows with different bands. To keep up with that much material is impressive in itself (not to mention the intricacies of Dime’s guitar playing).
The Pantera celebration is easily one of the best sounding performances unlike other bands that have tried to play with only half their members, Great way to pay respects to Dime and Vinnie, they are doing a great job.
At 49 years old this brought tears to my eyes and all 6foot 5 of me covered in goosebumps..VInny inspired me to be a drummer and Dime with those heavy riffs..wow didn't know how i was going to feel about this....I loved it thank you guys...horns up forever Pantera!!!!!
