I can't imagine how nervous Emily was. Showing up to sing songs by a man who an entire generation of people grew up with is no small feat. Honor his legacy, bring us that comfort we know and love, then take us to a place we've never been. Welcome to the LP family Emily. ❤
Girl does need to clean up her chops. if the intention is to revive these songs as much as possible then The Linkin Park sound with Chester has always been super clean, even when singing with distortion Chesters growls were harmonically pleasing and healthy and he always had control. Her distortion is often overused, and she strains too much. I don't care if she "Sounds" like chester but taking some notes on how Chester carefully approached and balanced his sound and vocal workload will help her survive a tour. I also think that for some songs lowering the key back to the original will still sound amazing. Some of these transpositions felt too high for her. Im just glad the boys are back, mostly.
@@matiaspereyra9375 she does a decent job replicating chesters voice but it's obvious she doesn't have that same vocal range, her voice is a bit too raspy as well ngl.
I'm a 38 years old grown man, and tonight I shed tears. 7 years ago, I was sure I'd never hear anything more from the band that I grew up with. Seeing you and hearing you on stage just a few moments ago resurrected that small part of me that had died with Chester. It's the phoenix that nobody would have expected to see rise up from the ashes in its full glory. 2024's most beautiful moment. Welcome Emily. Make him proud. Long live Linkin Park.
@@briand1322 I think it's important to acknowledge that people process grief and nostalgia differently. For many, music and the artists they admire become deeply intertwined with personal memories and emotions, and losing someone like Chester can feel like losing a piece of their own history. Whether someone knew Chester personally or not doesn’t make their feelings any less valid. It’s a testament to the impact he had on people’s lives. We all cope with loss in our own way, and it’s okay to feel deeply about something meaningful to us.

"In the role of Chester Bennington is each of you" - Mike They ain't trying to replace Chester with Emily. The way I see, they're honoring his legacy while evolving with their sound. Emily brings something fresh and unique, but Chester's presence will always be irreplaceable. This is about moving forward, not forgetting the past. Chester Forever! 🤍
I love that they acknowledged him as the Forever Bandmember. He lives on in all of our hearts, in every time we sing along to him. Gone from this mortal plane but never forgotten
I think she killed it. Amazing job, but I do wish Mike and the band would continue to play "In The End" with just crowd singing Chester's part. It's so emotional and feels like a real tribute to him. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album though!
52 years old, bald, father of three. I drive a SUV. I pay my bills. Long gone may be the days of having long hair and banging to LP and Nu Metal until the early hours, but I will always be a fan. Thank you.
Im a 46 year old Dentist living and working in Singapore. I was the president of the Linkin Park Fan club of Singapore 20 years ago, in 2004. I have met the band , had pictures taken, autographs and all, but all these things can never and will never replace my memories of Chester. LP and their music has saved my life on many a dark moment, and i totally lost it when Chester died. Very few things make me shed a tear, but on this day of 8th Sept 2024. i sit in front of my laptop crying like a baby! It is a very strange feeling to be crying and having the hair on your back stand up and your skin tingle. Here's to many more sold out concerts and world tours to come! I hope someone from LP underground contacts me and i will literally go to the ends of the earth to have them perform again here in Asia.
I keep coming back to re watch this. I genuinely love this band with my entire heart. I’m 20 years old and never thought I would ever see this band back, and now, in the year 2025, I’ll be going to see the band that saved my life countless times and got me through my entire life so far. I cried for hours the first time I heard Mike say “it’s good to see you again”.
Im 62 yrs old, a father of 3 LP lovers, ive listened to this video 6x now. Ive cried real tears, i had my hairs standing on end, goose pimples the size of golf balls, the need to hear this over & over while being enthralled in this most incredibly magical moment in time. As a fan, a parent, trying to be a decent human being, please give these artists the space/grace to express their passion & allow us all to grow. ✌🏼
@@asimoved lol @ my old ass being an influencer!! I prefer to connect with folks one on one. LP does that with their music. True fans understand the power of their music. I come from being a fan of Joy Division all the way here. I listen to many genres and even if I don't understand the lyrics, the emotion comes through.
Some years ago, my wife and I went to watch Queen play with Adam Lambert. He started the concert by saying "I am not Freddy, I will never be Freddy, to expect me to be like Freddy is just unfair. I am Adam and I will sing his songs just as well as I can because I was a huge fan of his. So please join in and sing his songs with me!" Emily is not Chester. We shouldn't expect that she should be Chester. She is paying tribute to what the band's legacy was as well as trying to make something of it going forward. Appreciate her for this and welcome her ❤

The Mercedes-Benz CLR GTR was a prototype race car developed by Mercedes-Benz for the FIA GT Championship in the late 1990s. The car featured a sleek and aerodynamic design with a low-slung body and aggressive styling. It was powered by a 6.9-liter V12 engine producing over 600 horsepower, allowing it to reach top speeds of over 200 mph. The CLR GTR made its racing debut in 1999 but unfortunately 19.5K gained notoriety for a series of high-profile accidents during the season. The most infamous incident occurred at the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the car became airborne at high speed and flipped over multiple times before crashing back onto the track. The car was subsequently withdrawn from the race, and Mercedes-Benz ultimately decided to discontinue the CLR GTR project. Despite its short-lived racing career, the Mercedes-Benz CLR GTR remains a legendary and iconic car in motorsport history, known for its striking design and impressive performance capabilities.

This girl's voice is an absolute killer. I honestly believe that this is a new era for Linkin Park and they can move on, and so do we the fans. This is the right way to honor Chester.
@@federicoinnocente could be. I think that's way cool. I loved her performance. I found it to have a bit of a raw factor, a big part of rock, metal, punk, and hardcore, that can make for an interesting dynamic and expressive live experience. I've been to plenty of shows like this. Linkin Park has a lot of underground music roots, which is one of the reasons I like them.

@@gast3192everyone can be edgy with a keyboard. I've got a lot of respect for Mike and LP for moving forward and trying something new with Emily Armstrong.
@@gast3192you can call passion toxic all you want but she’s a good singer I’m sure she’s an alright person but she isn’t linkin park the only member up there is Mike it’s basically a cover band
The wild part to me has been the haters using that part of the song as proof that her voice just doesn’t have what it takes. As if her voice went out and not that she was literally crying. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the stream to me.
I was expecting more hate to that moment. and im glad i haven't seen that so far. She said in their interview that Hybrid Theory was her favorite album. Chester is the one who inspired her to sing and scream. Imagine the feeling of being able to sing for your favorite band and in the spot of someone who you looked up to. What a moment for her.
I can’t imagine how nervous she must be. The studio recording of Emptiness Machine shows exactly why they picked her. Chester has such a massive legacy to hold up. Anyone no matter how talented would be shaken, especially with how critical fans can be (as seen by the hate in the comments) As a life long fan I can say I’m really happy for them to be able to move forward making inspirational music. Give her time and I think you’ll see her thrive. If Mike and the rest of the band believe in her, so do I. Edit: after watching their interview with the whole band where they talk about how they brought her and Colin on, I’m even more certain they chose only the people who were best suited.
Obviously she was super emotional through the first half of the set. If you’ve ever sang live on a stage while being an emotional mess you would see that your voice breaks down. Check out their video and see what she can do. The fact she was so emotionally affected during this performance, as well as letting the fans sing so much, makes me even a bigger fan.
24:40 is so beautiful, Emily getting emotional. Mike doesn't have to even look back 'what's going on', he knows. This is why they took time. They grew into this new Linkin Park.
20 years ago, I was just a kid, listenning to songs without understanding anything of the lyrics. 10 years ago, after learning english, I understood why those songs made me shake, scream, tear up. 7 years ago, like many of us, my heart skipped a beat. Today, being 27, I cried once more for this group. Some of those songs will saty with me until the end, my end. There'll always be a "with Chester" and a "After Chester" but his memory lives on, within everyone of us. We cared as that light went out. And today, you're proving that in the end, it matters. Thank you for making real again.

@@Kay9Kunal Nobody could have done justice tonight. Her voice was pretty much the same at the end of the show as it was at the beginning. I was expecting it to be shot and destroyed. I think she did a good job, to be honest. I haven't watched it all the way through yet. I just skipped around to different sections but I'm impressed that her voice is holding up for an hour. But again, no one can compare to Chester. I'm a massive Slipknot fan and even I agree that Corey Taylor couldn't perform LP songs as good as Chester (just like Chester couldn't have performed Slipknot songs as good as Corey).
I'm just filled with anger. The tribute show did make me cry. This is so dishonest, dishonorable, and a bigger Stain to Linkin Park than Jay Z.... we'll maybe not quite that bad. But close.
I didn't even notice till I saw an interview with Mike, but at 24:50 when Emily covers her mouth then goes to the crowd, she actually had started crying and was totally unable to sing, She was a fan just like us, she knows how big the moment was, give her a go, I was critical at first, but the more I reflect, the more I realise just how hard this performance must have been mentally,
I agree with you, imagine all the flack the band is receiving for not getting an exact carbon copy of Chester....why don't people try to think for a bit and put themselves in theirs shoes, would anyone want to have a CARBON copy of your late best friend and fellow musician together with you everyday reminding you of what could have been? or start anew with someone else entirely different? it's a hard decision and the performance reflects this!
Buen detalle no me di cuenta de lo emocionada que estaba Emily yo aún me emociono cuando veo a chester en los lives o los videos pues es inevitable extrañar a chester
I grew up listening to Linkin Park. The day Chester died, a piece of me also died with him. Seeing them back is like seeing myself being reborn. I'm so glad it finally happened
I’ve watched those new videos a lot and I even travelled the half of the world just to see LP in Sao-Paulo, and yet my eyes get wet each time I hear this “it’s good to see you again”. Love em.
This is actual genius. Coming back with a female lead. No one could replace Chester... and they aren't trying. Kudos on this brave step. I'm here for it!
The whole point of a Female singer is to help further put a big wall in front of all the haters saying that ANY new singer can never replace Chester. OBVIOUSLY! They're not trying to. 🤣
I really like this direction too. No one can replace Chester. Lets see how Emily blazes her own trail with the new music. Its a new beginning and I am here for it.... and yes Mike - Its good to see you again!
I am 31 years old. and all my youth was with LP. Chester's death is a big shock, but now I'm crying because my favorite band is alive again. Emily is amazing.
Close but she’ll never be the real thing. Honestly, I love LINKIN PARK and I miss Chester more than youll ever know when you’re ready for a real singer, you can bring what you know you’re not feeling you know how to find me
10:10 "In the role of Chester Bennington is each of you" - Mike . I had to hit pause for a while just to get my emotions under control because I started crying. Chester isn't gone. He lived. He shared. He left a small part of himself in each one of us. Thank you Mike for reminding us.
Chester Bennington was a once in a generation talent. No singer could ever replace him. After listening to this full live stream twice, I could not be happier with the direction they chose. There’s something in Emily’s voice that reminds me of Chester, especially when she screams. Yet her voice is so unique and different that it does not feel like an attempt to replace him. I’m so glad that they are back and cannot wait to hear the full album.
Just another lost comment in a sea of them, but I'm sitting here on a Friday night as a 39 year old grown man with tears streaming down my face. Thank you Linkin Park, i think a lot of us needed this more than we realized.
35 years old woman with son sleeping next door just crying, smiling and feel myself 14 again accidentally in my childhood room with old LP posters on the wall! Life is so hard sometimes, but it’s definitely good news - I will have a chance to hear this brilliant music in live! Thank you guys for doing it again and make me alive! And Chester will always be in our hearts and voices!❤
No one talking about that opening sequence? That imagery of taking the instruments out from under the death sheets? The shot of light (from what looked like a glitched skull) bringing life as the "Castle of Glass" built momentum... that was a rebirth for sure. That's artistry top level... welcome back LP. Well done.
I don't think any band with such a big loss could get away with what you guys have done, especially with a female singer, Chester was our saviour, he was our voice.......... Emily is the voice of a new generation and it is amazing, she is not trying to be Chester, she is making it her own, there is so much respect. One more light.
I was born in Japan in 1995, and the first “foreign” artist I fell in love with was Linkin Park. I remember I started studying English to understand the meaning of their lyrics. Literally the band is a part of my youth. I am deeply moved by how they are making a fresh start like this. Love from Japan 🇯🇵
Hello 👋🏻 and Cheers 🍻 from British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 I Hope you are having an Awesome day / night 😊 not sure what time it is currently where you are ! It’s 2am where I live 😄.
Honestly, can’t imagine the level of nerves and pressure Emily had to be feeling. But when you really listen, she learned every strain in Chester’s voice, and I love that grit to her cleans. I think the screams are in place of a guy who literally influenced the metal genre as much as the rock. I think her harsh yells are freaking sick. It’s the emotion in the songs. That’s what we needed. We got it. She really did a great job, and this was something we’ve all wondered about for years. Chester would’ve loved this.
Dude that’s EXACTLY what I was saying! Because the thing is, Chester largely stopped doing those strains and grit, and I really, really missed that. In that regard she brought back something that Chester had stopped, and I’ve been chomping at the bit to hear it live again. She even hit the little ones in What I’ve Done! But for more massive instances? For many years I’ve been dying to hear, “Lying From You,” at all, and I’ve been dying to hear, “Faint,” performed with grit and strain in a live setting again (Chester had switched to only doing it high pitched, and I honestly wasn’t crazy about that choice), yet Emily brought it back!! MASSIVELY brought it back‼️🙌 In a live capacity? She’s NAILING IT 🥳😝🤝 They’ve been my #1 band and role models (as business men, how they treat others, as creatives, and so on) for as long as l can remember. For over a decade I’ve been a paid member of LPU. And, this sounds mental, I know, but I’m in the top 0.1% of their listeners on Spotify.. So, that’s to say -this is coming from a MASSIVE Linkin Park fan - Emily is PERFECT for the role, and I see EXACTLY why they picked her. 🥳❤️🤝
She did well! Personally, though, I would’ve preferred her using a normal voice instead of forcing the screamo. A cleaner version of the screams would’ve been better.
I dont think its nerves. Chester voice was something really unique. In the live they made where many artists covered lp songs nobody could sing like chester díd.
Love how Mike points to her right before her chorus hits. "Wait for it....she's got this!" You can tell he's proud of her feels confident in their choice 😊
I’m a 52 yr old grown ass man in tears watching this. LP got me thru a nasty divorce and gave me strength trying to figure out how to be a single father of 2 girls. I can relate to every song. I couldn’t be happier. Bravo Emily. Ur a star!
24:55 Emily has such an emotional reaction multiple times. Can’t imagine the intense feelings of being in this position, for the first time, and filling in for one of the most iconic singers of all time.
Mike confirmed in an interview with Q101 that it wasn't her voice cracking in Waiting for the End, she was so overcome with emotions that she started crying right there on stage. And honestly, can you blame her for that?...
I’m 36 years old… and I’m here shedding tears, as my kids are watching me, and asked me “why are you crying daddy?” And all I said was…. “Daddy is very happy”
4.3 million views in 22 hours.....the fans never dissappoint. R.I.P Chester, i hope he's looking down smiling at this knowing we all will continue his legacy and that this band will never truly die. Welcome Emily, to the family, we're all glad to have you here.
yes. replacement is like chester quit and the next month they get a new singer. there's like 7 years gap in this case... so they're not replacing chester with anyone, they're just moving on and wanna keep making new music.
When Mike concluded that concert in October 2017, the opening rif to “bleed it out” playing and he says with his voice cracking “guys we don’t know where we’re going from here, but we certainly appreciate your support as we got there”, all the way to this moment when he says “it’s nice to see you again”… it feels like we have come full circle. People who "hate" on her need to understand this, it's okay if you don't like their choice to include her in the band, people are allowed to have their opinion. But if they have respect for her and want her in their band, she very much deserves to be there, like it or not.
when Emily started singing Catalyst and her voice completely broke I was so worried that not only did she damage something but I was immediately dreading the crowd going silent or booing her. it took a moment for her to recover, but the thing I loved is how quickly the crowd picked up the song for her. and then close up of the front row, no one was angry or disapponted, all I saw were smiles cheering her on. it's a small moment but that coulda been a breaking point for anyone in her shoes. the bounce back was just amazing and the setlist was largely phenomenal from her. I also love that the crowd took to her so well that before the final song, Emily's name was being chanted. such a cool moment for her and I have no qualms with her as the new vocalist. "in the role of Chester... is each of you." a beautiful reminder that Emily is not here to replace, but honor the man himself. she did a phenomenal job.
You know we have to understand how nervous she must‘ve been. Singing in front of millions of people for the first time in her life with one the largest bands ever, stepping in these footsteps
Yeah, I don't think that people who are criticizing her are aware of the pressure she had. I can't even image. It's her first performance and they will do a new album with a new song, se won't replace Chester in any way. I'm personally glad that they choose someone to continue with new music, instead of nothing. We loved and love Chester but I wish them the best as a new band ❤️ we need to support her, cause we can't be the reason of hate, just because she's not Chester. She doesn't deserve to be in pain because everyone want him back.
Watching this again, man how is people mad and saying this is insulting to Chester's legacy, my little cousin just found out about LP and he listened to EVERY album after this comeback, this is just making Chester's legacy bigger with new generations finding out about it and giving it a listening, F the haters. LP FOREVER & CHESTER FOREVER
Exactly, i heard the emptiness machine on the radio and here i am, i listened to all the sings from Hybrid Theory and i'm going to listen to all of their discography, while waiting for the new album to come out.
Fr. People are saying that Chester wouldnt want the rest of the members to keep on being succesful without him which just makes him look like a horrible person
I discovered heavy is the crown thru league of legends and now im listening to the album. Also listened to few old songs too and chester was amazing. I'm really digging it.
24:54 to 25:23 Mike said Emily got emotional and was crying, (voice breaking hand over mouth) which is why she couldn’t sing and was able to after Mike sung the bridge. She was overwhelmed by how beautiful and powerful this moment was
I noticed it first time watching concert and from an emotional state got me into full on tears. Good to know he confirmed it - do you have a link to that?
Nobody can replace Chester… but she has a really powerful voice and some really big shoes to fill. Give her some time to grow into her role here, she’s gonna kill it.
Yea, it wouldn't feel right seeing a dude trying to fill his shoes. It just ain't going to happen. But female? I like the vibe and her. I hope she pulls back a little, she doesn't have to push this damn hard lol
@@Breakstuff5050I think a lot of it is probably nerves and excitement. I would be so nervous stepping into Chester’s shoes, let alone how dedicated and viscous the LP fan base can be, but I think she’s going to be great.
This is the smart move by transitioning to a woman vocalist because Chester's voice is irreplaceable. At least this is like a new wave and era of a woman Linkin Park!
When Emily started to sing "Crawling", gives me instant shivers all over me. 36 years old, but still that kid somewhere, who felt in love with these songs 20 years ago. Much love from 🇰🇿🇩🇪
34 year male, listened to all linkin park from the start and no shy to admit i shed a tear driving home listening to this for the 2nd time. Chester lives on through all of us, the band and his lyrics. Emily did a great job honouring chester, we all love you LP!!
I am a 40 year old combat vet, and I cried listening to this. Chester saved my life 2 times. Once, as a teenager, when my dad was physically abusive. Also, on my last deployment to Afghanistan when I was going to end it. Much respect to you guys, and may Chester's soul rest in peace.
Buddy I'm a vet too, you weren't alone crying. I don't know if they saved my life but there's something about this that speaks to me on a level I can't speak to. I miss Chester, he was there with me when I went through some of the worst times in my life. It still hurts man.
I think this band saved a lot of us from feeling alone, from feeling irreparably broken, from wanting to call it quits and leave the key on the bar as we locked up and left. But I’m grateful today, and was last night, for this feeling that I never thought I would get to experience… revival. It is a good day to be alive. What a gift this new chapter already is. Stay well man.
I'm crying right now. Watching my favorite band back again with another voice was a nostalia. They did not replaced Chester, they revived his legacy! Goodluck Emili!
Agreed! She did such a good job. And the absolute heavy lyrics that go with “waiting for the end”…she could sing most of them, she was getting emotional. So I did too 😢. She did great.
I'm shocked at how well Emily fits into this concept. This isn't the umpteenth repeat of a series, the new edition of an old classic, an attempt to tie in with the old days or copy the legendary singer. This is a new era and I get tears in my eyes when I hear Emily sing and see the joy in Mike's face. I'm not a hardcore fan or anything. I've never been to a concert either, but LP has been part of my life since Meteora. What an incredibly awesome comeback. Welcome Emily. Greetings from Germany
Man, I knew not everyone would be on board, but some of you guys take the hatred too far. You're never ever going to replace Chester, so they didn't try. Some people don't like AC/DC without Bon Scott, some people don't like Queen without Freddie Mercury, and some of you won't like Linkin Park without Chester. And that's okay! That's the beautiful thing about art and music is that we all respond differently to it. The albums with Chester aren't going anywhere. You will always have those to look back on and enjoy. But let Mike and the band heal and move forward, and make new music, and begin this new chapter in their lives. Chester would be proud of his brothers for picking up the pieces and starting "from zero." Much love to you all.
People tend to forget that Chester wasn't the only person in Linkin Park. Of course, he was a very big part of the band. But the others are also part of the band. It was also their band and project. They are allowed to want to continue it. And I am soon glad that they do ❤
Well said mate. She’s trying to fill big shoes and giving it a crack. As for me I’m going to hard pass on Linkin Park. But I wish them the best of luck. Will always listen to the old stuff and have awesome memories. Good luck Emily :) only wishing you the best
I was never a die hard Linkin Park fan, not to say I wasnt. But just hearing Mike say "It's good to see you again"...im just a 40 year old dude sitting in his car, misty eyed, reminiscing on the time I got to see LP and POD live. Emily was a fantastic choice
I had a similar experience, sitting in my office during lunch, closed my eyes and took me back to hearing them open up for Limp Bizkit and Metallica in Houston
No matter how many times I watch this I cry every time. It was such a beautiful introduction to Emily. I still get butterflies when she comes out at the beginning. My childhood and my adulthood have shook hands
After 10 years depression, finally a good one. My biggest dreams came true,I got my own dog, a new car and my childhood band is returning. Wow. Never give up guys. Couldnt hold my tears back. Emily is perfect. Thank you Linkin Park for the live stream. Love you ❤😊
Amazing how a band can bring people together like this, empower them, tell them about themselves. May you be blessed and may you live a happy life brother

40 year old here, cried like a baby when Mike said “In the role of Chester Bennington is each of you”. Man it hit me hard, that man’s death really had an impact on me and today to see them all together is something I never thought will happen. Welcome Emily. Chester! You are in all of us.
Linkin Park's music has been my lifeline through the darkest moments of my depression. Their powerful lyrics and raw emotion reminded me that I wasn't alone in my struggles, giving me the strength to keep going when everything felt like it was falling apart. Sadly, Chester wasn't able to save himself the way his music saved so many of us. It's heartbreaking to think that the voice that helped me through my darkest days couldn't lift him out of his own pain; a reminder of how deeply mental health can affect even those who seem the strongest.
emily literally has done nothing in the creation of these songs, emily has done nothing to build the legacy status this music has. but i listened to the whole concert and her voice literally brought me to tears. happy tears. not because of nostalgia, just her voice alone. girl, you are gifted. im so glad you are part of this beautiful journey now. if you ever read this, thank you. nothing else i can say other than thank you.
I keep coming back to watch this. Growing up and even to this day Linkin Park have helped my anxiety and depression and I have resonated with the music so much, I shed so many tears when Chester passed and have shed so many tears listening to this knowing Emily will do incredible things in the band, Chester would be so proud and every single fan is so proud! I feel like I've got a part of my life back again!

If you put this livestream on a cd, I would buy it in a heartbeat, just as I did with the new album. Emily you rock!!! Mike and the gang... best choise ever.
Started off pretty rough but I love how much stronger and bolder her voice became as she grew more confident and less nervous. By Lost, I was completely sold. She’s the right choice.
Not there yet, but i do think the new songs song good on her. But i would be lying if i said i liked the old ones, it sounds a bit soulless, like screaming for the sake of screaming.
This is quite literally the most nerve wracking gig for anyone in this position and my GOD she killed it!! I can’t wait to see this latest evolution of LP live 🖤
Coming back 3 months later, I'm realizing how therapeutic this is for me. LP had been a part of my life for so long, and when Chester passed was when I hit a very low point. Now I'm at a point that I could very well say is one of my highest in my life, and I can't help but attribute a good part of that to this stream, seeing a part of my life come back to me. Hearing Mike say "Its good to see you again" makes my day whenever I hear it. You can hear the joy in his voice and it always carries over to me. I know no one from LP is gonna see this, but I have to thank them for being such an influence in my life, especially now.

I can't imagine how nervous Emily was. Showing up to sing songs by a man who an entire generation of people grew up with is no small feat. Honor his legacy, bring us that comfort we know and love, then take us to a place we've never been. Welcome to the LP family Emily. ❤

I think we can all forgive debut jitters. I’m still in shock that they’re back. Emily has Chester’s rasp.

Seeing you and hearing you on stage just a few moments ago resurrected that small part of me that had died with Chester.

Right there with you. That lead off "It's good to see you again" gets me every time.
It's the second time I watch It. I still Love Linkin Park❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amen to that
Same. This is now my third listen 😂
Totally agree with you!
Honey, you have to understand that it’s not about replacement! It’s about moving forward and not getting stuck in what happened before!
Even after watching it for the hundredth time. This is incredible. And Papercut with Emily is so incredibly good.
Just another lost comment in a sea of them, but I'm sitting here on a Friday night as a 39 year old grown man with tears streaming down my face. Thank you Linkin Park, i think a lot of us needed this more than we realized.

I don't think any band with such a big loss could get away with what you guys have done, especially with a female singer, Chester was our saviour, he was our voice.......... Emily is the voice of a new generation and it is amazing, she is not trying to be Chester, she is making it her own, there is so much respect. One more light.

MASSIVELY brought it back‼️🙌
In a live capacity?
@@erltonjamesI think she was just really nervous and that had a factor
I dont think its nerves. Chester voice was something really unique. In the live they made where many artists covered lp songs nobody could sing like chester díd.
I'd lick the blisters on it❤
When she gets fully comfortable at the front of the band, she is going to be an absolute monster. Rest in peace, Chester. Long live LP.

Yeah I don't think anyone can imagine the level of pressure she must have been under at that point, but the crowd did great assuring her it was okay
You know we have to understand how nervous she must‘ve been. Singing in front of millions of people for the first time in her life with one the largest bands ever, stepping in these footsteps
Amen 🙏🙌🙏😇
I think it was a mix of her adjusting her vocal technique and forgetting the words
Same here, combat vet, Iraq 03, LP saved me as well. I almost never cry, and I absolutely shed tears during this performance.
Exactly my point of view!
People tend to forget that Chester wasn't the only person in Linkin Park. Of course, he was a very big part of the band. But the others are also part of the band. It was also their band and project. They are allowed to want to continue it.
And I am soon glad that they do ❤

Linkin Park's music has been my lifeline through the darkest moments of my depression. Their powerful lyrics and raw emotion reminded me that I wasn't alone in my struggles, giving me the strength to keep going when everything felt like it was falling apart. Sadly, Chester wasn't able to save himself the way his music saved so many of us. It's heartbreaking to think that the voice that helped me through my darkest days couldn't lift him out of his own pain; a reminder of how deeply mental health can affect even those who seem the strongest.

Not there yet, but i do think the new songs song good on her. But i would be lying if i said i liked the old ones, it sounds a bit soulless, like screaming for the sake of screaming.

@marioz2397 I think a queer ex Scientologist would have plenty of authentic reasons to scream tbh
This is quite literally the most nerve wracking gig for anyone in this position and my GOD she killed it!! I can’t wait to see this latest evolution of LP live 🖤
It’s so nice to see the smile on Mikes face like this. You can tell he’s having fun.
It definitely is
Coming back 3 months later, I'm realizing how therapeutic this is for me.
Don't cry because Chester has gone,be happy because he existed😊
Cry because he was a victim of SA and his replacement is a SA supporter
