I got wide leg jeans 2 1/2 years ago from Old Navy as soon as the trend hit. Love them! I got loose straight jeans too. Never did love the skinny jeans. Wide leg pants are great for fuller figured girls. ❤️ I think they look classier too.
Those Madewell jeans are great! I have a similar shape and I'm gonna check them out. I love that they are giving a discount if you bring old jeans in. Thanks for the info. Great as always ❤😊l
These all looked really good. I have some wide legged jeans that I really like. I think you recommended them from Old Navy. My hubby hates them, but I still wear them. Glad to see the different looks.
Jamie! Every one of those outfits is perfect on you. I only have crop wide leg jeans and prefer straight or slim ankle on me but enjoy seeing how you've styled so many looks. Thanks for the inspiration! ❤
Loved these looks, especially the one with the cropped chunky sweater. And those jeans look really good on you! I'd like to find a more budget-friendly option for those but I did find a dupe for the sweater, although it's acrylic instead of cotton, which is why I'm not getting it. It's only $30 at Walmart!
Wow! What a wonderful variety of looks you were able to create with those jeans. I haven't been able to find a wide leg pair that I Really love but I do have a pair of relaxed fit medium wash mom jeans that are somewhat wide leg on me. You have given me some great ideas for those so thank you.
I have the same ivory bag! I think the color and style are very chic. I'm pairing mine with a patent cream Mary Jane low heel sling back. Loved all of your outfit ideas!❤
Thanks for a fun video! Advice on most flattering length of different jeans styles would be helpful, including how your recommendations apply for ladies with wider legs vs thin legs.
Those jeans fit you so well. I will need to visit my local Madewell store soon. They are really cute. All of your looks are fabulous. Nice presentation.
I have many Madewell jeans including the wide leg ones you are recommending. Mine are in the curvy fit since I’m pear shaped. Their curvy jeans are great…no gap in the waist band. But I prefer the straight leg ones to the wide leg. I fine wide leg jeans add pounds. I don’t know why since they are usually recommended for pear shaped bodies but for some reason they make my hips look wider.
Trouser jeans usually have a thicker hem and slanted pockets in the front and slit pockets on the back. A wide leg jean just has a wide leg all the way down and usually normal jean pockets and normal hem.
I don't think the proportions with the vest look bad at all. The shoes add just enough visual length. It's about where I'd want a fitted blazer/jacket/coat to hit me.
People forget that we wore high rise jeans in the 90s because there were no other choices. Clothing companies didn't come up with different cuts of pants until around 2000, when they realized that not all women are shaped the same. Not all of us are cut to wear high waisted. Are there any low/mid rise options cut straight thru the hips?

Outfit #6 looks amazing on you! The wrap top w balloon sleeves lends great curves to the boxiness of the jeans, great pairing!!
Thanks so much!!

Black & Cream structured bags? Please & Thank You! ❤
Thank you. I have struggled to wear wide leg jeans due to what to wear as a top.
You are so welcome!
Great information. Love the peplum top and see thru black blouse too. Just need to see the shoes more when you share outfit. 😊
Great! Thank you! We are now doing that in my recent videos!

I really liked all of the outfits that you put together. I have a few pair of wide leg jeans and thank you for all the suggestions.

Love Madewell!! besides mother, rag and Bone, AG , they are always amazing and less than those others! Plus they make petites which is a win-win!

Ok. Thank you!
I wish I looked good in black. It's so basic, classic and everywhere all the time.
Those jeans fit you so well. I will need to visit my local Madewell store soon. They are really cute. All of your looks are fabulous. Nice presentation.
Thank you so much!
These were all great looks, Jamie! Thanks for giving us some really good ideas for now and the coming season.
You are so welcome! Thank you!
the vest and belt look good on you, I think the belt and color gibe the 1/3 - 2/3 proportion.
Yes, you are right. I should have explained that better! Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! I'll have to have my sister in law try their curvy fit because she is pear shaped.
Thank you...great amazing styles...
Glad you like them!
Where is your sweater set from in look 8?

I prefer wide leg over flares which can look a bit odd.
Thanks for sharing!
Curious on your opinion: is there an age limit to wide leg jeans? And is there a body shape that shouldn't wear them?
I’m 63 and have two pair, white and blue jeans. I really enjoy wearing them but still working on the right top and shoes.
I just turned 67 and I love my wide leg jeans.
I don't think there is an age limit! My mom at 72 wears them! I think if they are styled with the right top just about any body shape can wear them!
What is the difference between wide leg and trouser jeans?
Trouser jeans usually have a thicker hem and slanted pockets in the front and slit pockets on the back. A wide leg jean just has a wide leg all the way down and usually normal jean pockets and normal hem.
I don't think the proportions with the vest look bad at all. The shoes add just enough visual length. It's about where I'd want a fitted blazer/jacket/coat to hit me.
Thanks!
I bought some wide leg jeans last year and they had such heavy denim. The jeans were uncomfortable because the denim was so thick.
You should look for some other ones! Not all of them are that way!
For the last look with the long black blazer, you could belt it to put your waist on show…
Yes I could!

Us older ladies wrote low hip-hugger jeans in the '70s 😉
Try Wrangler Jeans. I am short waisted , slim hips and don’t like high rise jeans; prefer mid or low rise.
