      While every other brand basically hides this information as much as they can and charges their customer for cosmetic meaningless things, KingBank doesn't do any of that and offers their RAM with actual chip information all the while being lowest on price. Fucking legend.

    Friggin' amazing video! I've been hoping you'd post a video overclocking dual rank Hynix A Die 2x32GB kit with a 7950X. I've had WHEA 17s on Zen4 after enabling Advanced Error Reporting in bios on an Asrock board. I'm not sure if they are FCLK related tho, because i've only had them at like 102BCLK. Also tried unstable FCLK and they didn't appear, but maybe i didn't test enough idk.

    Buildzoid, do you ever load up the infinity fabric when doing ram stability testing?
    I find that with a high fclk (2100 to 2133) I am stable with prime95 (memory controller stress) and karhu. But then when I load up the infinity fabric by running furmark on my 4090 I start to get errors.
    Now I do stability testing with and without IF loading.

    • @NVMDSTEvil
      @NVMDSTEvil 5 місяців тому +1

      furmark wont load the IF. More likely that electrical noise being generated on the card is getting picked up on the board somewhere.

    • @plushquasar653
      @plushquasar653 5 місяців тому +4

      @@NVMDSTEvil the CPU cores need to go through the IO die to talk to pcie devices.
      So a GPU stress test would add additional data on the IF that would need to be shared with the RAM stress test.
      PCIE and RAM traces need to be well shielded, noise doesn’t seem plausible or Intel would have similar issues.

    hey there ACO.... if your still checking the commends on this video.. i have a quick question for ya.
    Im making a bit of a 'upgrade/rebuild' on my current PC that i both game on and stream on (single-pc streamer/gamer). Ive been running an old i9 7900x for years and its served me well (and still is running strong) though its showing its age...
    Soooo i decided to update and am trying to future-proof myself as much as possible.
    That said, im getting:
    Ryzen 9 7950x
    ASRock x670e Steel Legend MB
    And a set of 2x 32GB 6600 Dominator Titanium's from Corsair. CMP64GX5M2X6600C32W's to be exact.
    I know people have mentioned (and you mentioned it here as well (your video was actually a recommendation to people by someone in the comments on another channel), that current Ryzen chips seem to hate going much faster than 6400. The difference in the 'cost' between the 6000 and 6600 Dominators is only like... 30$ at max?... So im deciding to go ahead and get the 6600's and just 'dial down' the Speed of the sticks down to 6400 and see if that makes the build stable, that way, as time goes on, if they manage to make the BIOS updates become stable enough to run past 6400.. i'll already have the RAM for it.
    Only thing is, its been ages since ive messed with memory timings and such, and ive never actually 'intentionally slowed down' RAM before.
    Is it as simple as setting up the EXPO 1 profile, then simply telling it to only run at 6200/6400 instead of its 6600 its listed as being able to do?
    Or do i need to also give myself a crash-course in how to set up the timings (tightening the timings as you called it) as well?

    Hynix A Die 2x32GB Dual Rank can do tRP 30 at 6200 and 6400 for me, with a Kingston Fury kit and 1.4 volts. So your bad tRP findings are definitely not related to Hynix dual rank at least. Maybe it's related to motherboard.

    This video earned my subscription. I have been watching this channel since quite a while by now (possibly more than a year) but I could not find much practical use of it. When Hardware Unboxed published its video about AM5 RAM scaling using BZ's advice I tried those but it was not successful. That was disappointing because I could run the 6400 MT/s CL32 XMP profile of my Corsair Vengeance kit in 1:1 mode at 2067 FCLK, thus I believe the IMC of my R5 7600 (non X) is pretty good.
    Now, with the hints about single rank, slightly loosening tCL (at this point all of us should know BZ's rant about CAS latency does not matter, right? 😉) and tRCD I managed to get stable tuning.
    I am really happy with it. 🤩

    I tried expo 1 and 2 .
    I get freezes and sometimes even crashes during browsing never during intensive work loads. I turned on memory context restore. And turned of fast boot now i got clean fast stable boots but just idling and light browsing is still a problem
    . My fabric runs at about 2900 it seems to not really like 3000. Is it possible i got a faulty cpu ?

    I try to o/c 128GB (4x32) which is a difficult setup. So far got stable 4200@1.26V (Vdd,Vddq). CAS auto-increased to 36 from 30 @ 3600. The memory is 1.1v Adata AD5U560032G-S, dogmother's brand of chips. Runs cold (no heat). Strangely, @1.3V it won't POST, probably because I kept in sync all mem voltages and CPU Vdd_IO.
