i would NOT recommend a sponge, use a dedicated leather cleaner, the chemical she used can strip the leather's colour or fade it, its not a good idea. use a soft horse hair brush with a good leather cleaner and microfiber towels, they are a lot safer, you could easily scratch the leather and ruin the jacket.
