Their whole youtube channel is just a great serendipitous homage to the 90's TV talk shows.
Gives me nostalgic vibes as if I've grew up watching these guys on TV back in the day.
You're so right.. Just gives me the "full house" vibe. It's just so soothing to hear. The world was a much better place back then.
So true!
It reminds me of what you'd see on late night tv once the infomercials start playing lol
it's like Car Talk for spines
I love to listen to you guys ! Some idiots just do not understand when someone is trying to teach , they go into details or share. They can move on ! They do have an option to watch or not . Thank guys for all you share ! Have a “ Happy New Year ! “
Just want to say keep up the good work boys! I always take as much as advice as I can.
Great video! I have two disc in my neck that bulge every once in a while and get horrible occipital headaches..i can sometimes get some relief with my inversion table and the old fashioned over the door traction device..👍💝
I was in Physical Therapy for a neck issue and the PT used a neck decompression device that was much larger and automated. It would decompress neck and back depending on how they set it up. I had such good results that I told him I wanted one for my home as a joke. A week later, He gave me one of the devices you just demonstrated that he ordered for me through the major medical portion of my health insurance. It didn't cost me anything. I've been using it at home, as needed, for five years. The device works great and is simple to use. It's worth checking your insurance before purchasing one.
Do you know the name of the machine?
Yeah what's the machine called?
@@jasonmathew9660 I apologize for my tardy response... I've never had any reaction to my comments before. The only nomenclature on the device is that it's made by Saunders. I'm still using as needed and I love it. Sorry I cant be more help.

Thanks. 30 years ago the device you mentioned did not work. But I'm having a new nck issue so maybe I will try the Saunders
Honestly guys I wish I took before and after pictures.
Had a terrible dowagers hump. Like awful. With your information and some elbow grease (along with 6 months of progress) my hump is almost all the way corrected! And my neck is just altogether stronger/healthier. My posture too!
what devices have you used?
That's great!!
I used traction and chin tucked as hard as possible. Took a long time. Finally, relocated my C-1. It wasn't easy. I don't see this device having enough traction. I'd recommend an Air Brace and Pillow. At least it has the right angle. More traction and hard core chin tucks and you might get it back in. It seriously hurts and your growth pattern is messed up. That Hump is just one of the results of C-1 Dislocation. Messing with your dislocation might bring on the Seizures. If, you have Seizures it may be from C-1 Dislocation.
An excellent video gents, you dear chaps never fail to amaze. Thank you so very much indeed

Thanks, guys! Love your videos. Always informative..
Hey Lani! Thanks for helping the guys out!
I have an arthritic neck and chronic back pain. I can’t afford these devices but I’ll put these devices on my wishlist.
Very informative. Thank you guys.
This is my favorite!!! neck stretches!!!
Hey guys, great channel appreciate your lessons. Question on the Saunders device, do you know why there is a wedge shape to it? Is it designed to work the thoracic as well with that angle of head being lifted like that?
Thank you for your advise.
What is your opinion regarding glisson loop? How safe it can be?
Thank you
Hi Guys! First 😂That shirt is amazing Brad! 👏🏻
I see bob and brad. I click bob and brad
I have one of these and I do feel it has been helpful with my herniated c6c7 in my neck
I ordered the posture pump and it works great also.
Very good video,thank you again.
Brad!!! I NEED that t-shirt!!! I try to tell all my PT’s about you when I go!
Thank you, it helps a lot!
Glad it helped!
I love how these guys talk
🙏 Can you tell us what you think of the Y-Strap. What are the benefits and contraindications. Would it be unsafe to have and do at home?
Will this give more or less traction than say the Traction Plus KG300? Thanks bunches.
Hill spinal decompression bed is working for my C5,6,7 bulging disc
I would really like to see the one for the back if you could show it. I have really bad back and neck problems and I would really like to do something that's not opioid
Love the t-shirt!
I like the Saunders (I own it) but I need that initial jerk to release my spine. The stretch does nothing other than stretch my neck muscles even at max pressure. How would I try to release my neck at home?
I always wondered about this machine. I just never wanted to spend the money on it, not knowing how good it would work. I have to go to the chiropractor so often it might be worth the money as long as it works.
You mentioned the blue opt soft roller for lumbar decompressions. There are several blue ones & one marble blue of different circumferences & lengths. Which one, please.
Is this safe for a cervical stenosis?
When Brad was holding her head, her neck was lower than in the device. Is it ok to have the neck curved in this instance?
Should I purchase the a neck Hammock?? PLEASE ANSWER
do you have videos on restoring feeling and movement of hands when you f=have sever cervical stenosis c5 c6 c7
Would this help stiff trapezius and muscle knots
Where can this be bought and how.much do they run? Any recommendations?
GUMBY would have been a perfect patient for this demonstration !!!
Not many people know of Gumby anymore
Thank ‘s So Much 🤗🌼🌺
Hi , I have question. I have neck cervical radiculopathy since 3 months and recently started Physical therapy. when it will go away. How many weeks ?
Would u show the one for the back please. TY
Is there something that can help decompress the cervicothoracic junction?!?? It's so hard finding relief for this area especially by yourself... thank you Bob & Brad
I totally agree. At the same time I am learning that to get to that area everything above it needs space to move to because of gravity. I plan on doing decompression of some sort and afterward doing some neck PT exercises and then keep building up some new muscle tone to help the neck posture stabilize, and eventually it will keep more space there. Sometimes it can take many months.
Lol I remember when they tried to use the big neck traction machine on me in pt. My neck refused to budge no matter what, then finally popped out a 1/4in when I bent my knees of all things. Everyone was puzzled and we never tried it again 🤣
My husband stretched my neck for 10 years and then I
finally needed a cervical
Fusion of C5, C6, C7 and that
was 22 years ago. You guys are great, so much knowledge
to share with all of us.
I would like to know more as well.
I read what I wrote and I had to smile because I typed in years instead of months. Sorry, I didn’t mean to mislead. Anyway, I had a car accident years prior which led to my surgery. The reason was arthritis set in and I became partially paralyzed. My husband worked hard at stretching my neck for 10 Months! It didn’t keep me from needing surgery, by the way, I was already 50 years old. Hope this helps and forgive my typo error.
Traction at PT really helps and my head is inline with spine. Bought the saunders and the angle put weird pressure on my spine and caused new pain. Id say its a poor alternative to professional tools.
Question, that DRX9000 machine I hear abt over the years for decompression, my question is wouldn't the Saunders lumbar traction home unit and this cervical one be just as affective over all. I mean the Traction units and decompression units are really just distraction for spine over all anyways. Any opinions or thoughts guys. Thanks for the vids.
Where can I buy the unit?
Haha that was so cute! Please let us know if Lani is now 7 ft tall =D
Can u guys upload the thoracic decompreson area ?
F
Who did your t-shirt design that's cool? Nice caricatures
Where can I buy that ?
Not sure if you still monitor comments, but I have used many of your videos to help manage different areas of pain. I have a question though I practice martial arts and I often find that my pain subsides while I’m working out. Is it safe for me to continue and not have my neck get worse?
Did somebody test this device? Is it useful? I have two cervical bulged discs, I can full rotate on the right side than 60% on the left one. Some days are better than others. When I go on my inversion table due to be whole inverted I can rotate to the left side at 90%, so I think that compression is my problem. Do you think that this device may ve useful for me? Thank you.
Love the song lol
Could you show how to take care of pain on the hand the pain is between the index finger and. Next to .it comes when l close my fist.not bad but l would be happier without the pain. Thank you.
I thought that cervical traction was dangerous quackery ... until I tried it. After 8 sessions (at the chiropractor), the numbness/tingling in my left hand, and pain in my left arm and upper back, was gone!
Does it really work? Pain gone? Im having same symptoms
How many decompression sessions did you do?
A hole. Describe what kind of decompression you had.
I'm having the same symptoms. Shoulder/lat pain pain in right arm. Numbness and week right hand/pinky finger. Pain in arm and shoulder keeps me up at night.
@@tomslick2058he did.
I never see any fixes for Spasmodic Torticollis.
I just noticed Gumby is in the background....has he always been back there? Lol
Yup, don't know how early he was in the back, since i'm a relatively new viewer(since last year)
They even have some sort of inside joke about him, but haven't seen a video talking about him.
I'd guess it would be that he doesn't have any bones and being a perfect patient etc...
I noticed him too, I've been subbed a couple yrs now, but not sure when I first noticed him. It was a fairly long time ago though.
he had little balls of clay!
Well where is Gumbys pal Pokey ??? Lol
That's the first thing I noticed, lol. I have one too.
Awesome. Thanks!
Is there a less expensive alternative? Maybe your second or third choice!
I have to say guys there is a much overlooked manipulation called the ystrap....or full axial decompression. It is THE thing to get as it surpasses the manual or other device tractions. I'll wager that many times the neck pains one feels can be permananetly fixed with the ystrap instead of trying to get the slow decompression of other modalities. It hurt me more to do the slow way but it was effect to do the quick forceful full to fix the problem Every chirpractor should learn and do it !
That Y strap is dangerous.
@@tomslick2058 why do you say that?
The massage chair reminded me of the movie “Alien”. Looked like a small monster was fighting to get through the back of the chair. Lol. I might watch too many horror movies...
You should normalize your audio. Love the videos. You’ll just have to imagine how much they’ve helped me. Thanks guys!
It's gotta be on your end. It's fine on all my devices.
Is this similar idea to inversion tables ? I’ve always thought about looking into getting an inversion table
I love my inversion table. Ivs owned 4 of them only because ive moved long distance, sold them and bought newish 2nd hand ones wherever i move to👍
The idea is exactly the same as an inversion table. But hanging upside down rarely gets enough traction for your neck and many people can't tolerate hanging upside down even a little bit. Can work great for backs, though (if you can tolerate being angled downwards).
I clench and grind my teeth and get a lot of muscle pain just down below my ear (never mind the odd broken tooth) Also, quite severe muscle spasms in my neck, which because they happen so close to the nerve cluster there, go into one side of my tongue, literallyone half of my head. I'm on dosulipin for this although I want to come off that. Going to be keeping an eye on these videos now I've found them, see if there is anything for tmj muscle pain etc.
Have you tried supplementing with magnesium? Its responsible for relaxing muscles, and a defeciency will cause muscles to spasm or tense up, including grinding your teeth. It can also cause inflammation because of tightness among many other symptoms. I would look into magnesium supplementation along with deep cervical neck flexor strengthening- which would both reduce the activity of the scalenus, SCM and upper traps and reduce nerve pressure at the back of your neck and the sides (thoracic outlet). Also work on your neck posture, if you have forward head posture, where your neck is not aligned or ears are not above your shoulder, it will cause compensation and overload of your neck muscles- and nerves will not be happy either. (poor muscle health=poor nerve health).
Muscles most often spasm becuase of weakness or overload, which essentially is the same thing. Resting them will not resolve any issues, but strengthening them has a high success rate. Strengthen your neck muscles, deep cervical neck flexors primarily but all will help. Isometric exercises and resisted chin tucks are reccomended. It will ensure the postural muscles that keep your neck aligned work as intended, and help other muscles relax more when they are no longer required to do a job they are not intented to do (stabilization of neck).
Also you can google "triggerpoints tmj pain" and you should find the muscles that can refer pain and cause tmj. If you find any tender spots, use oil and massage them and work them out, they will go away eventually if you work on them regularly on top of strengthening your neck muscles.
~Hope you find relief. Joe

Are these stretches safe for those of us who've had ACDF?
@Warrior Son hahaha. 👍
There are "contraindications" (never do) and "precautions" (be cautious and make a good decision). ACDF and any other fusion is more of a precaution. You should wait at least a year and then consult with your physician. You want to know what hardware was used, how well the fusion held, if anything is unstable, etc.
There are two main risks with using traction after ACDF. 1. It's possible it makes your fusion come loose. 2. It's possible that the spinal level above and below become too loose. Both these risks are relatively low based on the small forces involved (usually under 30 pounds of pressure while the head itself weighs 12-15 pounds). But they are risks. You need to know your specific details to know how large the risk is and if you are comfortable with those risks. So you could proceed with caution and be sure to start light and stop if you have any pain.
OMG!! About 10 years ago I purchased, through my insurance, a neck decompression device. It was no where near as nice as the one you are showing, and it cost $1100!! This one is about a third of that cost. My insurance only paid for half of it and I got charged for the rest.
Did it help
@@flowers3036 It helped somewhat. But I also found out I have bone spurs on the vertebrae in my neck, and cortisone shots helped that more.
@April Stark gosh I'm so sorry I just found out I have those too! Are you able to work
@@flowers3036 yes, l was able to work. Sorry that you have them too! Maybe by now there is some treatment for them.
You have to be careful that your not decompressing C5 but causing an impingement in C1-C4.
Great device! Hope I can afford one! ........Can you use this if you have two cervical bulging disks?
Traction usually is helpful for bulging discs. It can help "pull" them back in sometimes. But very large central disc bulges are a "contraindication". So you're probably good to go, but check your MRI and proceed with caution.
What is the machine called ? Would love to buy one

What about a Y-strap?
Could work, but generally where there is higher force there is more risk. Also set up is easier with the Saunders unit.
I have one of these with mixed results. I was wondering if having the head pushed forward because it is on an angle is a good thing. When a PT person pulls on the head the neck is straight and the patient's ears are in line with the shoulders. But with this device, the patient's ears are forward of the shoulders more in that head forward position that can be so bad for one's neck.
Yeah I have the same question - because ' forward head posture ' seems to be a real issue in most of us, and this angle only further pushes the neck forward. As you said, the ears are supposed to be in line with shoulders and neck should be in lordosis.
@@brankelly1921 depends were the problem is. Every injury or arthritis is different. Usually looking down a bit opens nerves up. But not all the time. Looking up is no good. Straight back might be better. You can adjust the incline on the Saunders..

C5-C6 bulge against the spinal cord instead of a pinched nerve. Ever seen Saunders cervical traction unit fix that kind of bulge?
A "large central disc herniation" is contraindicated for this machine. It could make it worse and in extreme cases cause paralysis. So if it's pushing on your spinal cord you should seek professional help first!

Have your parents get you yo a physical therapist, dont look down at phone/screens, dont sit in bed, watch your posture, keep head up and work on correct sleeping positions. Eat anti inflammatory diet to curb out any inflammation. But dont give up on getting your parents to get you the help you need- go to physical therapy and keep your head up and dont look down while reading or screentime. Bring books or screen to eye level. :)
@@larson511 I second this, very good advice. When you lay in bed, try to make sure your neck is aligned with the spine. When on your back, dont use too many pillows that would make your head propped up or bent forward. When on your side, make sure your neck is aligned (not angled up or down too much) . Maybe you need to use 2 thinner pillows or 1 thick one when on your side to accomplish this. And as this guy said, be careful about looking down too much, keep your chin tucked when you need to look down so that your head is not coming forward too much. You might also want to do exercises to strengthen the "deep cervical neck flexors", it helps many in reducing neck pain. Maybe get a physical therapist or family member to show you how its done and see if it helps you. The pain is only temporary and you will get better by following the proper steps. Good luck and stay healthy :)
