  • the most important is keeping moisture in your hair use, as much product as you can daily weekly nightly until your hair can hold moisture and absorb all the moisture it takes to keep your curly perm from being dry, your hair should never be dry like you have Natural hair no chemicals, that is a number on sign for breakage to start and damage your hair, keep it moist to the best of your ability.

    Thank you so much for such an informative video!! I have the wave nouveau and was wondering if it is ok to rinse out the products every day? If not, my hair feels sticky and the curl loses bounce throughout the week. Also, is it ok to co-wash many times per week? Thanks!

    • @dawnsofessencesalon
      @dawnsofessencesalon  2 роки тому +7

      Hey lady bug 👋
      It's okay to rinse out with cold water or room temperature 1 time each week, be careful to many times in a week or a month you rinse it out repeatedly because it will dry it out, when it moisturize with the curl activator that keeps it healthy,
      Also if it's stringy or too too loose then have your hairstylists to reroll your hair within the 1st month after getting the service basically 2 or 3 weeks after getting a curly perm or Jherri Curl. If the curl pattern it's still loose get a Carefree curl, or another brand of a Jherri Curl, ,Also alot people don't know WaveNouveau its meant to be wavy not curly. Keep me posted on your progress

    Thank you for the information. Every 90 days. I think that the stylist put the cream on all my hair. Its been breaking off a lot. I have been using olaplex on recommendation from a friend. The breakage is not as bad since using the conditioning treatment but my hair doesn't really keep the curl as much and seems to need lots of moisturizer. But then by the end of the week my hair feels sticky. Can you assist with some tips. Wish I lived near you.

    • @dawnsofessencesalon
      @dawnsofessencesalon  2 роки тому +5

      Hey so.. I here this daily and weekly, each system should come in fine, medium or coarse, so stylists choose the right strength for your clients hair,
      If your hair is thinning or shedding alot has to do with over processing it, not rinsed out properly when service was rendered, so left over product can thin and break your hair off, or if step 1, step 2 or step 3, was left on too long you van have major breakage.
      So not sure when you got it but use a moisturizer shampoo with room temperature water and do your shampoos never hot water it dries it out, then go behind and towel blot it , buy some carefree gold, snap back by care free products and get some s curl activator, 1 week use the care free Curl activator and snap back with a plastic cap for 7 days then a regular hair bonnet every night after that, next week use s Curl activator and snap back and go to bed with a bonnet,
      Remember use 98% Curl activator 2% water or leave in conditioner every one and make sure your hair got a hair trim or go get a hair trim please😉

    I realized that I made a terrible mistake on my daughter’s hair!😞she has been totally natural for about 4 years. I decided to give her a Wave Nouveau. I followed all the steps, her curl pattern came out great! But because she didn’t want it very wet I put her under the dryer after taking rods out and moisturizing her hair with the Wave Nouveau products. A few days later we noticed her hair feeling rough and hair shedding!! More than it should be. So it’s been a week and two days since I gave her the Wave Nouveau, so today I shampooed it (not with Wave Nouveau product) didn’t have any. So I used Keracare Hydrating shampoo and I gave her an Aphogee treatment, and moisturized after. And trimmed her ends. Her hair still feels hard. The shedding was minimum after rinsing the Aphogee. Please help!!! Please advise. And yes I’ve been a stylist over 30 years and I never opted to put a client under the dryer to dry their hair out because I know that this chemical treatment thrives on moisture! Bad bad idea😞😞😞

      Moisturizing lotion plus spray daily. In the old days we always wore plastic cap. Now days people are doing silk bonnet … I think I’d still recommend the plastic cap in the morning while getting ready after applying products … the video said wear plastic cap 7 weeks after perming. Either way I think as long as u apply product daily and keep hair moist not dry u should be good.
      I don’t think you have to wait 30 days for each wash session…. But I saw someone saying every three days and that seemed excessive and drying. Weekly or biweekly should work ??

    • @dawnsofessencesalon

      Your hair length will stretch once its grow for length and if you are looking for length let it grow, the curl products has all nutrients in it you don't need no castor oil and activator mixed together because it will make it sticky and it's not meant as a extra product for a curly perm, the product has enough moisturizer in it....

      Unfortunately the stylist should have told you no combing for 10 days after that if uou need to comb your curl out use the biggest and wideth comb at the beauty supply store, small combs with small teeth will pull your hair out. Never ever a brush.
      If it's still Shedd after the Shampoo and condition it' must be dry. Anytime your hair is dry or brittle it will shed a Crack bad.

What she does is comb the hair to one side and you don't notice it as much, but when get home and try to put my middle part in "I'm Like I Be Damm She Got Me Again". 🤣 I think I figured it out that she's rolling the hair forward instead of backwards.😡 It's only in front middle and it's terrible , but she swear I'm doing something to it.
