I just got a Jheri curl 2 days ago on my virgin hair and it was the best decision I could’ve made. I couldn’t stop looking at it. So much more manageable
It's back and it's back big! I did mine but I skipped the straightening process. I still wanted the natural look ...just wanted my 4c hair to be more manageable. I love it!
@@RelaxerQueen ok most Jheri curl videos I see the curls are always laying down which I’m not of fan of which is why I never get it but in this video her hair isn’t laying down how did you do that?
I am sitting here right now making a decision on this curl. I had it back in the 80's and 90's and did not want to take it out but my younger nieces and daughter said it was out of style. However I have a very thick head of virgin hair right now at 68 years old. It's break the comb thick. lol I sat down during covid and braided my natural hair into micro braids. Had that for 2.5 years. When I took them out I did the cornrow style for a minute. Now I just want to be able to style my hair any way I want to with the body that a curl will give. For sure if you take care of this method your hair will grow just as healthy as any other style will allow it to grow. Thanks for the video. Granny George getting ready to catch a DATE! lol
I remember when i had a jherri curl in 1985. As long as I slept in that plastic cap and kept my hair moisturized I didnt have breakage. Its interesting to see its making such a comeback
Now 3 days after receiving the treatment I would shampoo my hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, towel dry really well, add moisturizing lotion (not activator), and eco styling gel then brush it up in a high ponytail and wrap a 16-18 curl ponytail around it. Waves just gone be pop pop popping 🥰
When I give my sister her next CARE FREE CURL I promise I won’t be combining her curls ( i will just rinse with water) but can’t I clip her ends while I am RODDING IT????
I have a question … once you apply the relaxer do you wash the hair with neutralizer shampoo… all the videos I saw washed the hair but never used any shampoo… just water… but they used a clear neutralizer to set the hair
I think they neutralize after the wave booster is set in the hair. I think it depends on the type of curly perm. I usually see people rinse out the rearranger and gently use a light shampoo before adding the wave booster then they neutralize the hair while it’s still in rollers.
This is not a relaxer, this is a Jheri curl, that cream you saw was called rearranger. It looks like a relaxer bc it helps to straighten hair but totally different. Plus this is a temporary change not permanent change. Don’t want to step on this content creator’s video but I just don’t want you too mix up the two.
Sweetheart her hair should have been much straighter than that, It will look good now but in a week or more it will look like a curly afro, When you give a good straighten your curls will come out silky and stay that way! just a lil food for thought!💕
I used to love my CARE FREE CURL ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️but I hated that plastic cap at night (it made my hair stink because I wouldn’t wash at least once a month) I was lazy / I was young/ I thought I would lose my curls😩
She is using the Carefree System here. I normally use the Wave Nouveau system. I ran out of the product at school and grabbed a system that has been sitting that no one had used called Ferm by Avlon. Honey let me tell ya... game changer! I have never in my 35 years of doing hair seen such silky looking bouncy curls.
The problem could be serveral reasons. There are so many brands on the market. Finding the brand that works best for your hair type is important. These are a few reasons it may have failed. 1 You didn't use proper strength. 2 You didn't leave on long enough. 3 Technique. 4 Improper roller setting. Just to name a few. As a former beautician I have done hundreds in the 1980's 90's As we have a resurgence of Thioglycolates, The younger generation is now discovering The perms. This beautician did a Beautiful job on her❤
Great results, but you didn't show the products you used or the time that each product should remain on the hair. People don't know what you know-that's what a tutorial is all about.

How long does this last? And how often can you get this done?
A retouch can be given every 12 weeks. It's depends on how much new growth you have.

@@RelaxerQueen That has proven to be so true. Great job!❤️
Thank you!
my CARE FREE CURL stunk so bad because of the PLASTIC CAP (because I would never wash my hair I thought I would lose my curl pattern)

Do u have to wash the hair b4 putting the Jheri curl relaxer in ?
The texture doesn’t matter. A light shampoo is recommended.
@@RelaxerQueen can you add rearranger relaxer to freshly washed wet hair? Or should the hair be dry?
No one puts links to products or where to purchase from
If you are a pro stylist, you don't need a link. Go to your local beauty supply store.
I Saw Some Of These Products On Amazon
Plssss could you help me the name of the product ur using to define the curls
How long do you let it process for after the straighting process
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. I’m not sure what you are asking.

Im not finding fault but im a cosmetologist and you need to make the tio cream stay a wile longer on the hair shaft
@@laurelwilliams1914 I agree with you. I really felt like I was sold a bad (old) product. I did redo her process 72 hours later.
My hairdresser used to put me under the dryer to break it down more
Very nice getting mine done in a few weeks 👌 😊
How long does this last?
8-12 weeks
Her curl came out beautiful ❤️
It did because of two main things imho….her already thick natural hair and the Stylist’s technique.
Omg , I’ve never heard of rearranger, beautiful thick hair
Are you familiar with the Care Free Curl system?
