Literally the perfect OST. I was far too young when I played this game, so it kinda got ruined for me due to that lack of understanding, but just hearing this in a DnD campaign recently brought back all the memories, and I *_instantly_* knew where this was from. I played that game like 4 years ago. That should tell you how good and impactful this music was on me. For many years, I have wondered exactly where my love of RPGs came from, especially in the DnD style. Perhaps it was just the UA-cam algorithm, which did actually introduce me to DnD itself, and _so_ many other obsessions that I don't even know I have. Perhaps it was Skyrim, which I grew up with, and I still play despite my 1,000 hours or so. Perhaps... perhaps it was this game, even in the incredibly short dozen or so hours I played it. I definitely think that this game was my first true taste of an actual RPG. While the whole Elder Scrolls universe may be based off of a campaign, and therefore Skyrim is by proxy, and it definitely still has many roots to it, this game is the fucking _tree_ in comparison. I think that this game is a masterpiece, even though my entire personal experience with it was frustrating and confusing for my dumb kid brain when I had it. Y'know man, in hindsight, I had a lot of gaming gems in my possession, but I was too unwise to capitalize on a potential new obsession to consume my life for the next few years. Halo Reach, Gta San Andreas and 4, and this game, Divinity: Original Sin 2, all slipped through my fingers in my efforts to find the one nugget of gold lying somewhere, but in my efforts in doing so, I missed diamonds. And after all that, I think that this game resonates with that feeling the most.
Both Original Sin games were an extremely huge success for Larian. The first being very solid and a signal to the devs to go all in with the OS2. And that definitely was not a mistake.
This is brilliant. You have to give credit to musicians who made this. As it's nearly perfect soundtrack for when you're staring at the screen for half an hour and trying to figure out what you'll play as.
Although I just got this game, I'm enjoying every second of it; Especially this menu music. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back and for the life of me I can't pin point what it is!
There is a key element missing in this track. At 2:05 a war horn making a perfect 4th interval is missing; it adds so much to the climax! ...compare it to the released version of the song and you will hear it: ua-cam.com/video/gLrY0d-UJaY/v-deo.html
@@David_Brinkerhoff93 Haha No bro. The thing is that I take seriously the music in games (being a musician myself). I consider music a key part of my gaming experience; in the case of this game the OST is simply marvelous! so I usually listen to it even when I am not playing.
I guess they are different recordings? In the one in this video they used a different instrument for the part at 2:05 not sure what, maybe it is called a chime?
An absolute beast of an RPG which you can replay about 30-50 times , so much variation. 10/10 and if you have friend(s) then you might as well just give it 100/10.
You don't need to, the fact that there's multiple origin characters and so much build variety that can drastically change how you play, makes replaying it again and again give you a new experience each time
Having finished this game after being exposed to Baldur's gate 3, I like it much more. The story was amazing and that plot twist at the end I didn't see coming. Red Prince and Fane are easily my favorite characters. I have mad respect for Larian since they managed to pull out a romance subplot with a lizard and bones. Easily one of the best games I played in recent years.
This theme truly transcends the age gap. From 0:24 and when the instruments start to kick in, it fits all the following criterias: a soundtrack of AAA game from 2017, an intro of a flash game from 2000's, a theme of late 90's CD games. It is memorable, and feels nostalgic, even if it might be your first time hearing.
Played this game two times in couch co op with my girlfriend. This is one of the best games I've ever played, it has the best turned-base-combat, huge depth in every way, a beautiful world, fantastic characters with realistic development throughout the (~80hrs) story/game and the best co op experience. Good fucking game.
I got this game a week ago, and have been absolutely stuck. At first I thought I was going to hate it for being turn based but it turned out to be a really good.
0:24 remember that scene in first Doctor Strange where he gets revelation about magic and has a trip through dimensions? That's how i feel when this part starts playing
My wife played violin for a long long time. She is really good at it. Had her try to play this on the cello and holy god damn I'm glad I married that woman. Took some practice to adjust from the violin to the cello but man that was a treat to listen to. Should have bought that instrument right there
I hope they use this song as leitmotif for the franchise if they ever do a third one. This is really recognizable and it would hype me the same way the elder scroll's main theme hypes me.
Honestly the entire soundtrack beats Skyrim's imo. The OST of this game is one of the big reasons I fell in love with it, the music is truly a masterpiece.
@@thebigscratch7826 Whenever I get my mates on to play our co-op save we end up belting the theme over our discord call for 5 minutes before actually starting lol
Divinity's strength is certainly its immersive soundtrack. Skyrim is meant to be immersed first person; while Divinity's is to immerse you in the world's story. To feel the emotion and weight of every location and story.

it was a huge success thankfully
Both Original Sin games were an extremely huge success for Larian. The first being very solid and a signal to the devs to go all in with the OS2.
And that definitely was not a mistake.
This is brilliant. You have to give credit to musicians who made this. As it's nearly perfect soundtrack for when you're staring at the screen for half an hour and trying to figure out what you'll play as.
Oh no. Three more years ? ...
Dude, you must be a wizard to be able to pick something like that up. Respect.
Borislav outdid himself with the music for this game. It's beyond epic!
An absolute beast of an RPG which you can replay about 30-50 times , so much variation. 10/10 and if you have friend(s) then you might as well just give it 100/10.
hands down GOTY 2017, masterpiece tier, 10/10 would delete my memories to do it again and again
Tactician mode bro, so much replayability.
You don't need to, the fact that there's multiple origin characters and so much build variety that can drastically change how you play, makes replaying it again and again give you a new experience each time
@@MrWiplazh how does tactician add replayability?
For 5 years this song stuck in my head, whistling or humming its always this song.
This melody reminds me of some good times with my friends. Im happy i played this.
I also love the combat. Haven't played Baldurs gate but it's next on my list.
5:21 - end is truly THE masterpiece
I got this game a week ago, and have been absolutely stuck. At first I thought I was going to hate it for being turn based but it turned out to be a really good.
I can't wait for the full release of baldur's gate tho. Knowing larian studios is developing it just made it my most anticipated game of 2022
bg3 is a really good game but this music is still the best
This music can definitely be heard in bg3
@@DylanJG1 Not as much as it was heard in DOS2 tho, shame but BDG3 is still as excellent as Divinity.
For me personally, DOS2 is singlehandedly the best game ever created in gaming history. Hands down, zero doubt.
I love you Larian.
Fallout New Vegas says hi
i'm a big DOS2 fan though, i finished the game 4 times
Really like this themes. The majority of themes are forgettable but I find myself humming this daily. Ty for upload.
0:24 remember that scene in first Doctor Strange where he gets revelation about magic and has a trip through dimensions? That's how i feel when this part starts playing
This song casts charm on me everytime I listen to it and I've overwhelmed with the urge to replay this goddamn masterpiece.
You know a game is great when the experience of playing it reminds you of why you love its genre!
My wife played violin for a long long time. She is really good at it. Had her try to play this on the cello and holy god damn I'm glad I married that woman. Took some practice to adjust from the violin to the cello but man that was a treat to listen to. Should have bought that instrument right there
Listening to this while I wait for the Definitive Edition to download! Sick game, 3rd round now and still have so much to try.
I hope they use this song as leitmotif for the franchise if they ever do a third one. This is really recognizable and it would hype me the same way the elder scroll's main theme hypes me.
the song just hard wired into my head i know every notes and drop of this song xD 950 hours in baby
this slaps so much harder than down by the river
Such an amazing song. As good as the Baldur’s Gate 3 songs are, I think this tops most or all of them.
This might be an unpopular opinion but this theme beats the Skyrim theme.
@@IAmKnight8 That's epic.
Divinity's strength is certainly its immersive soundtrack. Skyrim is meant to be immersed first person; while Divinity's is to immerse you in the world's story. To feel the emotion and weight of every location and story.
Skyrims theme is easy to beat
Moment of silence for all the lost, poor souls that will never experience this masterpiece.
F
Kirill would be proud!
Kadet Kebab
May he rest in peace. His composition for all previous Divinity were beautifuls
Yeah. Yeah he would. *Flutter of a Butterfly plays in the background*
fuck yes
Beautifully crafted.
Larian make awesome games right down to every last detail
I'm obsessed with D&D, and this is the ONLY game which has fulfilled my craving for a D&D-like video game
It's a bit strange. As DND fans are spitting on BGII for being a copy of DOS and a disgrace to DND
@@ikmuzun_8085 BGIII you mean?
@@jasontimothykoesmanggala6281 Yep of course
Can you explain what is D&D ?

every time i listen to this i get the urge to play it
Masterpiece from start to finish
Incredible, amazing theme for a titan of a game, wonderful and majestic. I will always come back here to get the reminescent of the past.
a masterpiece deserves such excellent soundtrack like that.
One the games i found impossible to actually play cause this song is just so god damn amazing
I feel like BG3's OST is more bombastic and, in your face, while DOS2's OST is a little more subtle, mysterious and enjoyable to me. I like songs from both OSTs, but overall DOS2 wins for me.
One of the best games I've ever played in my life. So complex, so fun, so intriguing.. better than Witcher 3 in my opinion.
The witcher 3 is a piece of shit game. This game is better than that shit but it's still suck compare to other rpg
Wow, I mean the game is 10/10 but I think you didn't play Witcher 3 in last few weeks 🤔
@@xIthilgore why should I play it in 2022? Btw Witcher 3 movement is like 2010
what's the part starting at 5:23? I always hear that part on the main theme and I almost don't want to start the game just to listen to it. Is it part of another song? I can't seem to find it anywhere lol
This is actually 2 tracks. 3:38 starts 'Your Tale Awaits You Down The Road', which also plays at the main menu
I'm not crying, it's just tears...
Get the onions away from me 😭
i cant bear myself to play tactical rpgs, but this is the only exception. i downloaded it just to give it a try and faster then i could know i was entranced by it and grew very attached to my party.
This game got me even from the main menu theme
glorious music!
Took a week off from work and just played this for 55 hours. Best week ever.
honestly, the best game that I have ever played through
So wonderful so beautiful, im so happy that I am alive and I can listen this masterpiece
Borislav Slavov is top compositer!
Composer, dude, composer.
Just finished this game yesterday. What a masterpiece!
The final fight is so much special given the fact that the music changes, the sounds gets muffled and all. Such an Epic ending to an Epic RPG!
This game fills a void in my heart it brings light to my life which is usually dark as the voidwoken themselves a truly divine game and at the top of my list of games
Even though i am 24, i will remember this game as my childhood game. Because as a person who grew up with ps1 games, this game gave me so much old school vibes. And this ost even makes it better.
This is one of my favorite games (and themes) of all time.
