Hello guys! I would like to take the chance and say Thank you, to ALL of you! Your love and support is the ultimate reward and inspiration for me! Be safe and keep the passion for music and video games alive! Truly yours, B.S.
Thanks for the great music played the game so many times and still coming back to the music, one of if not the best fitting music for the setting of a game.
I've read a lot of books listening to your glorious work. Thanks a lot. The soundtrack is fitting the game perfectly, too. I haven't felt as much joy for an RPG as I did towards DOS2 since Fallout 1&2. When I first heard Mead, Gold, and Blood play on board Lady Vengeance, I felt literal shivers go through my whole body.
Just wanted to say that this soundtrack is truly dynamic. With every song, I can picture myself in each location, fight and moment. It's the absolute perfect marriage of gameplay and soundtrack. I don't think I'll ever forget playing this.
What are you smoking lol? This game was developed in 2 years, gets Game of the Year, Best Story, Best Role Playing Game, 9/10 across the board, just naming a FEW of the accomplishments. Meanwhile you have some triple A developers taking 6-12 years to make titles that don't measure up in any of the categories DoS:2 was acclaimed for. It's not even fanaticism to call the game a masterpiece. It simply is.
If you think that bunch of awards shield any game from criticism, you are delusional. DOS2 hardly improved anything from the first, already flawed game. It has barely developed character system with many pointless stats and traits, laughable itemization bound to your character level and on the top of that - the complete fuck up which is the combat. Pointless armour system that serves only to prolong fights with already hp bloated enemies and the utterly retarded initiative which gives unfair advantage to AI - I guess it was simpler just to do that than design more interesting encounters.
It doesn't shield a game from criticism anymore than it opens your eyes to someone saying something gaining objective awards is delusional. I have my points about the game I don't care for just as much, but if you want to get basic, a masterpiece is: a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship. Kind of something that tends to be quantified by cumulative praise and acclaim. It's not that strange gaming companies and reviewers also called it just that. On an even lower level of thought, saying things like "pointless system" and "retarded initiative" just says you either forgot that these factors change per difficulty, or missed how to effectively use what the game has given you, bc it is pretty easy to overcome both of these obstacles, even on Honour Mode. Nothing is free from critique, but I'd think Larian Studios is probably quite okay with how the majority received their efforts.
@@diomeja Yeah, I'd sayt that's typical pattern of fanboy reaction for critique. First you used absurd appeal to authority and now you are trying to paint my words as 'duh you just don't play it properly'. Bad stat system is underwhelming and poorly thought out no matter difficulty level. When you have +% dmg in weapon skill vs leveling warfare which influence all physical damage one has to question why such weapon skill was put there in the first place. Fighting more hp bloated enemies won't change that. It's just lazy design which sadly took lead in the whole character system since most of stuff just adds more percentage damage. Armour system is just the same - lazy. Devs wanted to prevent control crowd spam from the first game, so their solution was a quick band aid of preventing player from stunning etc. enemies before destroying enemies armour. Skill checks, success rates - screw them. Player can't work around some unpredictability factor and adjust strategy accordingly. Now it's all about nuking armour and almost killing your enemies (thanks to completely retarded 'initiative' system which move queue in favor of AI not by rolling the initiative based on stats). 'Larian Studios is probably quite okay with how the majority received their efforts.' Me don't want to address your points, so here is yet another fallacy. How clever.

I can't get over the fact that choosing an instrument to emphasize in the soundtrack is part of character creation. And man do I love hearing that flute kick in when a fight's going well. Looking forward to choosing tambura on my next playthrough.
I chose the oud and changed to cello mid game. Also, the instruments of your party can be heard as well during fights. Such a wonderful detail by Larian.
I bought this game cuz i thought whats 40 bucks it looks quite nice. Jesus mother mary such a deep RPG experience... i havent felt that in 10 years or so
Let me tell you something. I'm a skeptical person when it comes to buying big games. Divinity always seemed like a game that wasn't for me. Everyone said it was one of the best RPGs they've ever played, but I didn't listen. Everyone said to just try it through family sharing, but I denied their requests. Everyone on UA-cam said it's a must play RPG, but it fell on deaf ears. The one day I conceded. I have played over 100 different RPGs. Across PC, console and portable game devices. I can wholeheartedly say this is the *best* RPG I've ever played. Every encounter, every battle, every character, every place, every peace of music is memorable. That is the goal of every RPG, and Divinity Original II passes with flying colours!
Yea dude i had the exact same experience, i feel so stupid after i realised everyone was right and not overhyping it, finished it 3 times in half a year too that’s how good it is
Bro, the moment I heard the soundtrack for the first time I was already convinced that I needed to play this game. I learned about it hearing the soundtrack, and when I searched about the game and seen how it was, I JUST NEEDED TO PLAY IT. The days I've waited for godamned Steam to process the purchase were one of the longests days of my life, and I spent them all listening to the OST.
yeah it's a masterpiece no doubt. Probably the best game and RPG that I played on last 10 years. Well I can put Xenoblade Chronicles (WII) on same place. But for the first place I still have my old Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind. All 3 Brilliant games.
Although, I must say, I had a hard time getting into it. The game isn't very good at communicating to new players how it's supposed to be played. Most of the time at Fort Joy I kept asking myself: "Am I doing this right? is this how it's supposed to work?" While the amount of freedom and how its game elements click together is ultimately amazing, only very little of all those mechanisms is actually explained, up to a point where, half-way through Fort Joy, you're rather lost about what you're supposed to do. For me personally, I really got into it way after leaving the island. Since then, I've been looking forward to start anew and to experience the game's beginning with my current knowledge.
How does every single song go so hard? I can’t believe how absolutely perfect every aspect of this game is. The amount of time I brushed this game off only for it to be the best rpg I’ve ever played. Each song brings such emotion, heart and soul. Truly a phenomenal game
I fully agree. I have lost count of the number of computer RPGs I have played and this one is my all time favorite. May I ask why you brushed off the game? Many people did the same with Pillars of Eternity 2 only to finally play it during the lockdowns in 2020 and discovering how good it is. In fact it actually made enough money to pull it out of the Red.
@@bocconom It was actually the turn based combat that made me turn away from the game everytime, thought one day I would give it a shot. It completely changed my view on turn based combat now, impressively done
@@keytarkrazy12 I understand this well! I am a die hard Real Time with Pause PC RPG player. But I have been a big fan of Larian Studios ever since their original Divine Divinity release which was not Turn Based. But then they published Divinity: Original Sin 1 as TB and I hesitated for awhile then decided to jump in and give i a go. The game was great and as you rightly state Larian's implementation of TB is impressively done. Its even better in D:OS 2. By the way, if you haven't played it yet try Solasta as it too is Turn based and extremely close to D&D 5e rules. You can only build a party of 4 but it works well
One of the best OSTs in my opinion as well. Definetely top ten. Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale, Dragon Age Origins, Nier Automata, Diablo 2, Divinity Original Sin, and Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition soundtracks are in the same category for me
Hopefully, HOPEFULLY Baldur's Gate 3 will make people take more notice and appreciate this game. It is one of the biggest crimes in gaming history how little people talk about this game
@@renanleandro5914 you gotta remember just how old this game is now. People were raving about it when it came out, but it has been almost seven years since then. While I feel it is the single best game ever made, it's definitely not in the spotlight anymore.
Being a rather musical kind of guy, I usually listen out for good soundtracks in games since they're usually what makes a good game *great*. Divinity probably sucker-punched me with their music, not to mention being able to pick your Origin instrument that you can hear leading the soundtracks. Goddamn it tickles my inner musician to no end.
The composition of this just makes me HYPE everytime. I feel I could so anything when listening to the main theme. I have goosebumps while working listening to this for the 25th time.
bro i have the same. Imo music is what gives most climat and scene to the game and should be more appreciated. Its one of the most important things in the games tho. Lets hope all game producents understand it fast as possible.
Борислав, конечно, великолепен. Такие саундтреки просто шедевр. В плейлист сохранил, слушаю переодически. Rivellon, main theme, A Single Drop of Magic, Welcome to Fort Joy, Divine's Lament, The Queen's High Seas просто великолепны.
"Mead, Gold, and Blood" I first heard this soundtrack when i entered a tavern, in act 2 i think, an i think i spent nearly an hour there doing nothing just listening the mosuci..its so good
such an awesome soundtrack, and ifan's theme is just beautiful and brilliant. I loved this game, so much, but istening the OST over and over again, simply amazing.
What a game, I absolutely loved being immersed in this universe. It has everything: atmosphere, main and side quests, challenge, editorial richness, etc. Bravo!
What I think is truly impressive about it is that it is a sequel which actually builds upon and improves just about every aspect of Divinity OS 1. It isn't just a sequel that is just more of the first game without much added to it. It isn't a sequel that is worse than the first game. It is a sequel which is, in my opinion, objectively far better than the first Divinity OS game. As such, I would recommend to anyone to play the first game first. You don't really need to play it for the sequel to make sense, but man is it hard to go from playing Divinity OS 2 to Divinity OS 1 because of how much it improved upon the first game. Larian Studios is a studio which has earned my loyalty as a consumer because of just how *good* the Divinity Original Sin games were, and then I started Baldur's Gate 3 and it just reinforced that loyalty even more.
Can you believe I've heard some reviews of this game saying the soundtrack is "generic and not memorable"? One of my favorite parts of this game is how every single piece is a banger
A Single Drop of Magic is constantly playing inside my head it has become irl background music Jokes aside I think people say its not memorable because it just fits so well to the World and overall vibe of the game its not intrusive and it doesnt have to be its background music and it does a good fucking job at it whenever I fell out of immersion for whatever reason I always noticed the music and it sucked me right back into it
@@Vogelchen I noticed this too.. when I listened to this video I was like "how the hell I didn't notice this song? Neither this one?" Then went to the game and realized HOW strongly it pulled me into the game. Such a masterful work of art. I don't remember any OST of any game that I had to fight against the desire to play, the desire to discover more.. just to hear the songs
When people tell you that games are just animated pieces of fantasy and there's nothing to it. Just listen to the fucking music *Cough cough* Rivellon. There goes a lot of heart and soul into a game, the story and the music for instance. Games like this are so much more than just a game. People can find them self in a game and be someone else for a change. Experiencing a game should be more than just what the eye can see. It should also impact you and it should hit you right in the feelings. Games like Divinity, The Elder Scrolls, The Witcher or even games like Fable. They all have something that many people seem to forget. And that is pure passion and heart. Games are not just small pieces of entertainment, they're personal, they show how you are and what kind of person you are. They're little pieces of art and everyone has a different feeling when subjecting them self to it. But the core remains the same for us all that respect and UNDERSTAND these games. It's another world. Some place we can hop in and out of in our own comfort. It's a tale, an experience, an art form and above all, it makes us who we are.
Exactly, Games actually make you see what kind of person you are. Games can describe a person without the person knowing it. Games are madew to enjoy, sure, but let's not forget that games are also made to reflect on the player. I really like games that give you freedom and give you different possibilities to finish a game and give you different endings. It shows how you are and shows what you could change. Games are more than just A to B, just like you said. That is what I'm trying to say to people that don't play games or only play shooters and/or sports games.
Well, the most important part - every game is about feelings and immersion, i meant look at Doom, it's a shooter, i even dont care about lore, plot, i'm just rip and tear some demons, But the way how i do it -music, dynamic gameplay, screams, blood, gore, gunshots it makes me so bumped up, i can feel it, adrenaline, anger, hate, and joy and satisfaction, release when every demon is dead, one moment and i hunger for more, and it's awesome. I just want to say - no matter what genre is it, if it makes you feel something, its waking up emotions in you - this is truly an art, the way it should be. And games have some unique compabilities to touch your feelings, and this is what makes games different from books, movies, music, paintings etc. but its all just different ways to same result. But youre right, just dont make exceptions for shooters and spors games(i dont like sports games, but i guess there is good ones, and there is some point to play them)
Amen to that. I know many who disparage games as a waste of time. I know that there are hardly 1 or 2 movies that got me as invested in the story, and made me feel so close to characters as video games like the Elder Scrolls, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Portal, Dragon Age, the Witcher, Deus Ex, Fallout, Divinity, Bioshock, Dishonored, and certainly none that compares to how I feel about Mass Effect. As technology evolves, games become multifaceted works of art that sometimes have nothing to envy even from great studio films.
you can feel it, you can sense it. Larian has put there hearth and soul into this masterpiece. When you play divinity original sin 2, you play an adventure that stays with you, you will meet characters that will impress you, you will solve puzzles that have dazzeled you and when the conclusion comes, you will repeat those steps over again. All returning to the perfect sounds and music entering your ears when you hit the menu. Larian, srsly, thank you.
agreed. i just finished the game for the first time last night and now i'm at that point where i just don't know what to do. it's like when you finish a good book, satisfied, but still sad at the same time. i kept going back and loading my saves to get the different endings too. ahhhhh i just have so much good to say about it. easily a top 5 game i've ever played
Ah yes.... Puzzles... I killed the hammer and all her goons with an indestructible gold chest loaded with so much weight if opened would cause a singularity to be birthed into the world and swallow it whole simply because I noticed that telekinesis only used one action point in combat. I even went so far as to get the abilities which allow me to gain more action points and became an unstoppable physics breaking cryptid hell bent on squeezing every last point of exp I could out of the game by doing all the quests I could then murdering everyone in town for no reason before moving on to the next zone. I became a god of precise destruction, none who encountered me survived to tell others. Void? Light? It mattered not to one with power such as I. They were merely in my way. I had already ascended beyond godhood long ago. Legions of darkness and armies of light were but wheat before the scythe, crushed beneath the dragon's hoard. A burden more great than that of Atlas.
Hence the "Game of the year 2017", he didn't say best rpg of all time. Witcher 3 came out in 2015. I'm a huge fan of both franchises and have played all the entries, and even tho i edge slightly toward the Witcher (that's just my personal preference), it is damn close. There are players who like Divinity's approach to RPG more. Larian has made a masterpiece, and it certainly trumps everything we have seen this year, so the comment above is valid. Give credit where it's due. Cheers mate. :)
I agree witg filip ecic, I personally prefer Divinity's approach, from my point of view The witcher is more an action-adventure game with some parts of RPG when DOS2 is a real RPG with some action parts
Just finished this game and I want to say: this is THE BEST videogame OST I have ever heard. There are many games with amazing music. Witcher, TES, Gothic, old RPGs like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights etc. OST from Heroes of Might & Magic series. Music from amazing platformers like Trine or Ori and the Blind Forest. They are all amazing and I love it SO much... But that is the first time, when I want to hear the music over and over again after 250 hours in the game. I feel like I will never be tired of this masterpiece. Borislav Slavov was the best choice after Kirill Pokrovsky died.
No recent comments? I'm super disappointed that BG3 doesn't have the same level of music epicness. I still get chills from this soundtrack. What I do love about BG3 is the little nods in the music to DOSII melody.
I agree with this, however "Raphael's Final Act" from BG3 is for me the single best piece of art that I ever heard in a game. Still, hearing the main theme of DOS2 chills me more than a cold morning shower in winter

@@ARteZreg MUCH better in Lohse's voice....I remember when I first got her lute back (no spoilers), I didn't even know it was a thing until I "used" it....damn, I was blown away with how good it sounded. I must have played it 10 times in a row. I'm not a fan of the guy singing it, maybe because I heard her sing it first.
I love the game, but to be honest I find the soundtrack quite limited. I find it particularly sad that the number of sound tracks in fights is very limited. I'm a very casual player and I play on the second highest difficulty level and so fights are a rather larger part of my in-game time, hence I'd love to get more fight tracks.
1:48:55 - Divine's Lament (Bonus Song) lyrics Dark of night, a foot of snow Pure and white and deadly My father took me by the hand And asked me, "Are you ready?" He took me up beyond the trees To where the rock is bare He took me to a frozen lake And made me say a prayer Dark of night, two feet of snow Drifting sheer and pure My father made me walk alone The frozen grave ashore When we had walked an hour more My father drew his bow He shot an arrow in my back And left me in the snow And left me in the snow! Dark of night and full of snow Bloody red and steaming He called his father's name once more But he had left him bleeding I called my father's name once more And offered him a prayer The ice cracked on the frozen lake My father left me there My father left me there! He shot an arrow in my back And then he left me there! Dark of night, three feet of snow My father had killed me I washed my boots all through the snow And knew he walked within me I called my father's father's name And offered one last prayer The ice cracked on the frozen lake And my father's love was there Dark of night and full of snow Bloody red and steaming He called his father's name once more But he had left him bleeding Four feet of snow I can't bellow; And by the dying fire My father cries in grief and shame My father cries my name I feel my father's love once more My father cries my name My father cries my name! And I feel warm again! My father cries my name, And I feel warm again!
spoilers for the plot of the entire game When you meet Lucian at the end of the game, he talks about how his sons were dangerous, and that because he couldn't bring himself to kill Damian, Damian had been allowed to wreak untold havoc upon Rivellon. He was resolute not to make the same mistake with Alexander, and thus he sends Dallis to kill Alexander if you hadn't already killed him previously on the Nameless Isle. This might possibly be the basis for this song; Lucian feels grief for killing his son, while his son will forever wander the Hall of Echoes feeling betrayed by the one person he thought had loved him most.
Seriously, Lucian turned out to be such a piece of shit in the end. I know he is (or rather was) a divine, but that doesn't mean he can decide the fate of everyone and tell who's going to live and who's going to be forcefully 'sacrificed'.
Did you play the earlier Divinity games like Divine Divinity or Divinity 2 - DKS? It turns out that his fears are acceptable even if his movements aren't truly.
Every song is quite the masterpiece. Rivellon has been stuck in my head for the past few days. I still get chills every time I hear it. My room mate caught me whistling the tune when I had my headset on and asked me where I heard that amazing melody lol
@@snowylynx36 Is more like an Epic theme in the sense of a historical happening in the making. (SPOILER) You that just became a god by that point, clashing against another god, one of the last eternals and braccus who is a legendary villain, is basically a reality shaping battle that will define the future for Rivellon, i just want that Larian retcons what they already did as cannon, since our primary option is already go against Lucian anyway, doesnt make sense that by cannon we surrendered our powers to him, just make that the MC is a nameless god now, way better than what they tried to do.
@@orukia13 well in a way, none of the main endings are truly canon. They said surrendering your source turns one into a silent monk, but that didn’t happen to the characters in the canon ending. I can understand the idea, rather than gods clashing for who gets to be the divine, they went with “no more gods, no more divines, just people”. Since Lucian lost his power same as the players.
Well I do hope they release os:3 someday. Would be cool to play as, say, an eternal solving mysteries in a world where the mortal races are slaves to the god-king and the eternals have reclaimed Rivellon (One of the Fane endings)
It's been a couple of years since the game came out now, but I can say that this game had a great effect on me. It moved me emotionally in a way very few games have, and this soundtrack is one of the main reasons why. Even listening to the songs now, sometimes brings tears to my eyes from the nostalgia. What a masterpiece!
And that really was a masterpiece in that time. I loved it so much and still listen to it. But you are right, divinity ost will stay in my heart for a long time, too ☺
I'll wait 20 years to forget most of the lore. Until then, I can finally replay the game to experience it all once again. Because I crave that virgin experience the first time I play DOS 2. See me in 2041 !
just finished the game...I want moar! srls..I hate the current game industry for not delivering games like this one...guess now I have to wait 1-2 years again... :(
Play it with a different character or class. Try solo. Increase the difficulty. Make different choices. You can have an entirely different game on another run through.
01:49:00 As a Nordic I love this song, because I can tell what is lost in translation from Eastern Europe to English. That *old* world, that dark mossy forest, where the pinetrees are so thick you see neither sky nor horizon, where every boulder is a troll and every stump a friend. Where the snow is a friend as old as death.
I started playing this game for the first time like a week ago. Dear god how did this masterpiece skip in front of my eyes. Eve after 2 years this game is still best and STILL an epic masterpiece.
33:46 is a redo of the best theme from Divinity Original Sin 1 by Kirill Pokrovsky. The new composer is allowed to redo it because the rights belong to the game publishers. But it's weird not to credit the original composer. I wonder how many other composers of original video game themes get forgotten as the newer composers replace them.
I believe he actually was a massive fan of the prior composer's work and wrote in some dev diary that he created that song as a thank-you and a send off to someone he considered a genius.
I absolutely love this soundtrack and the game it backs, so if you like it I'd appreciate if you buy the track instead of downloading it from UA-cam ^^
A masterpiece of a soundtrack. Fitting, for a masterpiece of a game. One of the few non-online games I literally spent 15 hours in a row playing (The Witcher 3, Mass 2 and 3, Fable TLC, beeing the other ones I can think of)
The Battle for Divinity is honestly badass as fuck. Especially if you have the main theme stuck in your head already, hearing the melody in this new epic way is just amazing for the battle.
The battle i heard it first time was also epic AF. Oh man how can i defeat Alexander himself... Storm... A bigass worm?! Wonder what comes next, i still didnt progress much more

Dragon age inquisition: solas' trespasser osts were on completely different level than origins......but thats just 3 amazing tracks compared to divinity's game full of beautiful osts
heh, same here now, my daughter asks me (she doesn't know the game really) in which location the particular music plays and i answer like the game king. BG3's has a few standout pieces, but overall yes. I don't know how to best put it, but it doesn't have a consistent feeling of "yeah, that's from BG3" with many ambient tracks.
@@theblancmange1265 I do like certain parts of "The Power" from BG3, especially when it plays after a epic fight finishes. Also the beginning part of "I Want To Live - Classical version" playing when you go to the camp after said epic fight.
Yeah. Is that song only used once in game for the weird fight with the shark after a boat crashes through the wall at the bottom of the cave in Driftwood? Because I distinctly remember hearing it just that one time.
"A Part Of Their Journey" hits me so hard in the feels.. haww Update: After 6 years after writing this comment I still shed some tears because it's so beautiful.
Dude, I thought that was the right song I was thinking about but then I realized this video doesn't have all the pieces; the piece you might be thinking about is called "Hollow Marshes Fort Joy Bridge" in a different vid and the magical part happens at around 4.48. They both have the same general theme
This is the only game where i spend minutes in the title screen just to listen to the music before continuing my epic adventure. And those first vocal probably will remain in my head for months to come. Amazing.
R.I.P. Kirill Pokrovsky, composer of the first Divinity: Original Sin - He deserves some credit for Power of Innocence, which is based on one of his tracks.
Didn't find the time to play the game yet, but I listened to this soundtrack dozens of times. I think that knowing the music will enhance the experience when I finally go play it.
Quite the opposite. Actually listening to it in game will have less of an impact if you already listened to it before frequently. Every piece of music gets less and less enjoyable progressively the more you hear it, that's just how our brains work. You are also not going the experience a specific soundtrack for the first time actually in the game, where the area, theme and atmosphere are supposed to enhance that track's overall performance even more, by combining many different factors together and making it more tied to the game itself. Basically the element of surprise and bond will be (almost)gone if you listen to it prior to playing the game. I always avoid listening to soundtracks of any entertainment media I haven't experienced yet, solely because of that fact. It's essentially the same thing as spoilers if you think about it.

Thanks for the great music played the game so many times and still coming back to the music, one of if not the best fitting music for the setting of a game.
This soundtrack is possibly the greatest I've heard in any game and I have been playing video games for over 35 years.
Thank YOU, sir.
Just wanted to say that this soundtrack is truly dynamic. With every song, I can picture myself in each location, fight and moment. It's the absolute perfect marriage of gameplay and soundtrack. I don't think I'll ever forget playing this.
Buy this game. It is truly a masterpiece by the most pro consumer developers in the history of games. BUY IT NOW
Masterpiece? Hardly.
'Larian Studios is probably quite okay with how the majority received their efforts.'
Me don't want to address your points, so here is yet another fallacy.
How clever.

I can't get over the fact that choosing an instrument to emphasize in the soundtrack is part of character creation. And man do I love hearing that flute kick in when a fight's going well. Looking forward to choosing tambura on my next playthrough.
Damn that's why there are different versions! I never knew ... too bad all of them are amazing I'd love to choose all :/
I chose the oud and changed to cello mid game. Also, the instruments of your party can be heard as well during fights. Such a wonderful detail by Larian.

@@aubreyackermann8432 Steam sale, I also bought the Definitive Edition for 6 dollars.
How many times did you replay it ?
You can only build a party of 4 but it works well
I think this is my favorite game of all time, honestly. And I've been playing games for over 20 years!
Wonderful game but I hate the combat in Act 4 onwards, not gonna lie.
All the status effects, it just gets annoying.
Arguably one of the best OST out there. The game itself is beautiful.
I completely whole heartly agree with this. This game and this soundtrack will stay with me for very long.

I remember when this game was all the rage back in 2018
Being a rather musical kind of guy, I usually listen out for good soundtracks in games since they're usually what makes a good game *great*.
Tambura ftw, just sounds so good!
Yup I can vividly remember my first time playing divinity OS2 to the opening music pure nostalgia. And boy do I want to relive those moments
Борислав, конечно, великолепен. Такие саундтреки просто шедевр. В плейлист сохранил, слушаю переодически. Rivellon, main theme, A Single Drop of Magic, Welcome to Fort Joy, Divine's Lament, The Queen's High Seas просто великолепны.

I am so glad i am not the only one. I played this game a week ago for the first time and seeing someone felt the same 2 years ago. Dejavu
such an awesome soundtrack, and ifan's theme is just beautiful and brilliant. I loved this game, so much, but istening the OST over and over again, simply amazing.
Ifan still feels like the main character to me, even if Fane has more, uh.... goings-on in the lore.
Bg 3 is awasome game but that.... that is pure gold. That music, world, fantasy adventure...Just love it.
A Single Drop of Magic is constantly playing inside my head it has become irl background music
Jokes aside I think people say its not memorable because it just fits so well to the World and overall vibe of the game its not intrusive and it doesnt have to be its background music and it does a good fucking job at it
whenever I fell out of immersion for whatever reason I always noticed the music and it sucked me right back into it
The only way I can describe Divinity's soundtrack is masterpiece within a masterpiece.
@@Vogelchen I noticed this too.. when I listened to this video I was like "how the hell I didn't notice this song? Neither this one?" I'm so glad I found this game. Everything about it is just amazing.
But youre right, just dont make exceptions for shooters and spors games(i dont like sports games, but i guess there is good ones, and there is some point to play them)
Even though I agree with you guys, when you play the music from a game on youtube, you need to go back to the game! Later yall
I am sure people thought the same of paintings, photography, books, cinema. Some even still do.

Good game, no doubt but it ain't no Withcher 3.

In bg3 good ost
BG3 ost and plot are great, but DOS2 feel much more epic
I really tried to love Bg3, and I did, but to me it didn't have me anywhere near as immersed as DOS2
I agree with this, however "Raphael's Final Act" from BG3 is for me the single best piece of art that I ever heard in a game. Still, hearing the main theme of DOS2 chills me more than a cold morning shower in winter

Hands down the best soundtrack for any game I’ve ever played. Ever.
1:48:55 - Divine's Lament (Bonus Song) lyrics
Dark of night, a foot of snow
Pure and white and deadly
My father took me by the hand
And asked me, "Are you ready?"
He took me up beyond the trees
To where the rock is bare
He took me to a frozen lake
And made me say a prayer
Dark of night, two feet of snow
Drifting sheer and pure
My father made me walk alone
The frozen grave ashore
When we had walked an hour more
My father drew his bow
He shot an arrow in my back
And left me in the snow
And left me in the snow!
Dark of night and full of snow
Bloody red and steaming
He called his father's name once more
But he had left him bleeding
I called my father's name once more
And offered him a prayer
The ice cracked on the frozen lake
My father left me there
My father left me there!
He shot an arrow in my back
And then he left me there!
Dark of night, three feet of snow
My father had killed me
I washed my boots all through the snow
And knew he walked within me
I called my father's father's name
And offered one last prayer
The ice cracked on the frozen lake
And my father's love was there
Dark of night and full of snow
Bloody red and steaming
He called his father's name once more
But he had left him bleeding
Four feet of snow I can't bellow;
And by the dying fire
My father cries in grief and shame
My father cries my name
I feel my father's love once more
My father cries my name
My father cries my name!
And I feel warm again!
My father cries my name,
And I feel warm again!
spoilers for the plot of the entire game
When you meet Lucian at the end of the game, he talks about how his sons were dangerous, and that because he couldn't bring himself to kill Damian, Damian had been allowed to wreak untold havoc upon Rivellon.
:,)
Seriously, Lucian turned out to be such a piece of shit in the end. I know he is (or rather was) a divine, but that doesn't mean he can decide the fate of everyone and tell who's going to live and who's going to be forcefully 'sacrificed'.
Thank you!
Did you play the earlier Divinity games like Divine Divinity or Divinity 2 - DKS? It turns out that his fears are acceptable even if his movements aren't truly.

I can understand the idea, rather than gods clashing for who gets to be the divine, they went with “no more gods, no more divines, just people”. Since Lucian lost his power same as the players.
"A Tear in the Veil" is my favourite, very stirring.
yes! that one stood out to me so much. so beautiful
This soundtrack is scientific proof that video games have souls.
This soundtrack is scientific proof that video games can have great soundtracks.
This soundtrack is scientific proof that video games have SOURCE.
Mathieu Doucet This game is proof that games are art.
-This 2~h soundtrack with, what, 20 tracks?- Ah, that one.
(Not only) this soundtrack is scientific proof that video games have SOURCE-code.
Rivellon is so emotionally charged I could listen to it all day long.
witcher 3 and D:OS 2 is all i need.
Well I do hope they release os:3 someday. Would be cool to play as, say, an eternal solving mysteries in a world where the mortal races are slaves to the god-king and the eternals have reclaimed Rivellon (One of the Fane endings)
@@runtergerutscht4401 While it's not Divinity, they are releasing Baldur's Gate 3 in 2021 most likely. And I can't wait for it.
@@VDA19 well I haven't played the first ones at all but im happy for you
@@runtergerutscht4401 Neither have I, but it's the same company. If you liked DOS2 you ll prob like this one
@@VDA19 probably, just saying I haven't played those
Rivellon gives me goosebumps.
I spend hours on the Lady Vengeance just to listen to this.
Power of innocence also a good one
Agreed
Me too. I loved this theme when I first heard it while playing the game. Still love it.
I'm amazed with first
It's been a couple of years since the game came out now, but I can say that this game had a great effect on me. It moved me emotionally in a way very few games have, and this soundtrack is one of the main reasons why. Even listening to the songs now, sometimes brings tears to my eyes from the nostalgia. What a masterpiece!
symphony of the void lives rent free in my head after that awful lvl 11 dwarf quest on some mines, amazing game
1:43:52
Best boss music I've heard since Final Fantasy 7
And that really was a masterpiece in that time. I loved it so much and still listen to it. But you are right, divinity ost will stay in my heart for a long time, too ☺

Can not even express how much I love this game and the music. Thank you Larian!
Try Pillars of Eternity.
I'm here to wake you up for Baldur's Gate 3.
Check out Pyre by supergiant games (or any of their other games)
look up bauldurs gate 3
01:49:00 As a Nordic I love this song, because I can tell what is lost in translation from Eastern Europe to English. That *old* world, that dark mossy forest, where the pinetrees are so thick you see neither sky nor horizon, where every boulder is a troll and every stump a friend. Where the snow is a friend as old as death.
I love you for posting this - thank you so much!
The only game I started playing right again after I finished it!
This is a goddamn masterpiece. Gods of music are strong with this one.
A part of their story is amazing!
One of the best RPG:s ever made and the music added so much. I love the music! Well done Boris =)
did you play "Divine divinity" from larian?
I started playing this game for the first time like a week ago. Dear god how did this masterpiece skip in front of my eyes. Eve after 2 years this game is still best and STILL an epic masterpiece.
1:19:43 - Divine's Lament - in my opinion one of the best melodies I´ve ever heard - in the best game I´ve ever played
Almost sounds like a melodic cover of Johnny Cash's Hurt at times
This is so nice, the entire soundtrack helps me focus on my work. I actually have it looping playing in the background. I love it
Battle for Divinity is one of the best game tracks I've ever heard. It's so fitting and mood-making.
1:43:52 I will never forget the first battle with Alexander. You hear this and it’s absolutely sickening
It really is a battle to ascension. The underdogs vs the destined the one.
Here ye! Here ye! Queen Justinia executes 12 dozen noblemen for insubordination!
2 dozen* my good friend. FOR INSUBORDINATION!!!
148 for rebelling against good taste, and for treasonous plots to defame the divine bards
ORDER TO MARCH AGAINST THE ANCIENT EMPOIER
12 dozen is such a gross amount
*I played Divinity 2 after Baldur's Gate 3. What a masterpiece. At first I found it a little bit difficult, but I loved it anyway.* ❤
1:41:56 My favorite, the music that defines D:OSII for me
I absolutely love this soundtrack and the game it backs, so if you like it I'd appreciate if you buy the track instead of downloading it from UA-cam ^^
I downloaded the main theme, sent it to all my friends and they not only bought the soundtrack but the game as well.
Me and my girlfriend both bought this game :). We never pay full price unless it is worth. In this case it definetly is.
They've got a vinyl release. That's the one to get!
Masterpiece makes me feel I'm livin in that world
I hope that people don't forget this masterpiece
A masterpiece of a soundtrack. Fitting, for a masterpiece of a game. One of the few non-online games I literally spent 15 hours in a row playing (The Witcher 3, Mass 2 and 3, Fable TLC, beeing the other ones I can think of)
Thank you for posting this!

I don‘t care if you like the game or the music, but hearing this just hits so much nostalgia playing this with my brother deep into the nights.
Никогда не понимал людей, которые начинают пускать слезу из-за определённой музыки или песни.. Теперь я понимаю их
It hit me when I was at drift wood and the music just took me to another place and it was majestic
Как же я тебя понимаю, бро. Настолько шикарные саундтреки, поверх всего еще и игровые воспоминания, вкупе это разнос. Порой даже из меню выходить не хотелось, просто сидишь и слушаешь ост…
God I love this game and its' music. Rivals Dragon Age origins - finally, I needed it. Thank you, Larian!
Dragon age inquisition: solas' trespasser osts were on completely different level than origins......but thats just 3 amazing tracks compared to divinity's game full of beautiful osts
Wonderful main theme! The first game OST I listen since The Witcher'3 soundtrack.
Thanks youtube algorithm for randomly proposing this to me !
Brings back good memories of a brilliant game :)
Maybe i'll go for another run...
I cant get enough of "Rivellion". I always play it first whenever I decide to listen to the OSTs
Jon My favorite is “Tear in the Viel”
Love the change in tone throughout the song.
Man, I can listen to Fane's theme so much, that theme is so awesome!
Finally
Damn the Soundtrack is so iconic that when it randomly switched to it that i instantly knew it was this Divinity original sin 2 :D
If you can name where you are in game just from the song you hear, you know you're an avid DOS 2 player.
heh, same here now, my daughter asks me (she doesn't know the game really) in which location the particular music plays and i answer like the game king.
I always try to explain what kind of games would be better, but they still prefer shitty roblox (online bullshit) over nice storyline piece...
...kids these days... :D
@@Cmpunmu3 Just wait till she is a bit older if shes really young then show her some classics as well like Warcraft 3 and see if she likes that. It what my did to me atleast when I was like 9 haha
@@adriac1291 you liked warcraft 3? :)
@@Cmpunmu3 yeah classic warcraft 3 was incredible. While reforged has botched the multiplayer and the graphics / cinematics arent nearly where they should be, id still choose reforged to over classic becasue the campaign is still Warcraft 3 just with better models
Ya'll can roast me for this, but I still think DOS2 ost hits harder than BG3's ost
Real, was actually really looking forward to BG3s ost knowing how good DOS2 was and I am a bit dissapointed :(
BG3's has a few standout pieces, but overall yes. I don't know how to best put it, but it doesn't have a consistent feeling of "yeah, that's from BG3" with many ambient tracks.
@@theblancmange1265 I do like certain parts of "The Power" from BG3, especially when it plays after a epic fight finishes. Also the beginning part of "I Want To Live - Classical version" playing when you go to the camp after said epic fight.
bg3 ost is good, and it makes sense comparing it to dos2, but to me its unfair - imho dos2 has the best ost in gaming deadass
you actually can hear some tunes from dos2 in bg3
I love Quirky Bones so much!
Yeah. Is that song only used once in game for the weird fight with the shark after a boat crashes through the wall at the bottom of the cave in Driftwood? Because I distinctly remember hearing it just that one time.
It's also used in the Imp Realm
Divinity is literally the best game I’ve ever played.
You know its a great soundtrack when some of the tracks make you miss the characters and your adventures together.
"A Part Of Their Journey" hits me so hard in the feels.. haww
Update: After 6 years after writing this comment I still shed some tears because it's so beautiful.
Dude, I thought that was the right song I was thinking about but then I realized this video doesn't have all the pieces; the piece you might be thinking about is called "Hollow Marshes Fort Joy Bridge" in a different vid and the magical part happens at around 4.48. They both have the same general theme
"Sins and Gods" is properly tragically heroic, like the fight with The Boss, Old Hunter Gehrman, and Soul of Cinder.
This is the only game where i spend minutes in the title screen just to listen to the music before continuing my epic adventure. And those first vocal probably will remain in my head for months to come. Amazing.
76 hours and 3 years: I will finish this Game Co-op no matter what! Dino the Massive will ASCEND!!
you don't feel it as much before you start playing... then it's a BOMB - covers everything you knew before
WOW THIS IS GREAT, love the melodicism and eclectic instrumentation.
Quirky bones is such a well constructed piece
R.I.P. Kirill Pokrovsky, composer of the first Divinity: Original Sin - He deserves some credit for Power of Innocence, which is based on one of his tracks.
i can't get over how beautiful this game's music is
44:00 "I thought these collars were supposed to keep those things at bay"
Wow, this soundtrack is amazing. Why haven't I played this game?!?
I should buy it!
Damn right you should. Gotta love the storyline, love Fane especially
Have you played it yet?
1:11:37 - A Tear in the Veil, my favorite
The music in this game is a masterpiece, after having played the game each song brings vivid memories, thank you
A tear in the Veil, such mastapieceeeee
