Ship escapes through the Hall of echoes. Arrive at Reaper's Coast, ready to fulfill my destiny. This Song starts playing. Truly masterfully crafted, Larian.
This song brings the feeling of "nostalgia" and adventure. One moment youre fighting a desperate battle with every crew of the ship dying one by one. You feel happy that you survived the attack thanks to malady but then you realise your ship is empty. barely any crew left. But you cant stop feeling that youve got a new area to explore and the world is yours to take
"Vengeance is coming, Dallis. It may take a while, but I will return. From this land I will grow. From each battle I will grow. In every place I will plant the seeds of my passing that shall grow into a great tree, and one day I shall hang you from these branches. This is my oath, as Godwoken and as Sebille. I will find you. I will kill you. And the world shall grow in your absence." -an excerpt from the First Tale of Lohse, 'Sebille'
This song hits you like an emotional tidal wave during your first playthrough, I don't know what it is about it. This calm, soothing, slightly sad melody with an undercurrent of hope and adventure, never fails to make me feel things.
God fucking damn it I hated that little midget. She's that one 40 year old lady you have as a neighbor. Always shut her up with one of my characters in dialogue when I was browsing the merchants.
Words cannot describe how incredible this game (and soundtrack) is. I'll never forget my horribly-optimized party hopping on the Lady Vengeance and this song playing for the first time. Iconic.
This song makes me think. Think about everything. I miss my dog. I miss my rabbit. I miss my grandfather. I miss my old friends. Then It changes- and it becomes about gratitude. The idea that those memories, those journeys were so special. The realization that Divinity is something so similar. A reflection on those moments. Memories that will die with me. Moments that will one day be lost to time- however cherished the were. However Beautiful they were.
I loved that so much. When I started the game I thought a narrator for most of the game would be weird, but after a few hours he became one of my favourite parts of the game.

The spray of the sea water reflects the sun's rays all across the ship's deck. You look over at Reaper's Coast and then back to your companions. You concentrate on the sway of the ship and the sound of the sails billowing in the wind. You look down from the sails and see the sailors preparing the ship for dock. All of you know that adventure and battle and victory awaits you on those shores. You know that divinity is within your reach....and you also know that death is creeping around every corner. All you can do is smile as the sun starts to set below the horizon. The fields of the distant farms glow golden and the lights of the town start to pop up like lightning bugs. Your bags are packed. Your spells are ready. Your weapons are sharp. Just another day in Rivellon.
I just love this game so much. I can't express *how* much to be honest. Every time I hear the music, I feel like... all is good. I'm at peace. Rivellon awaits me whenever I want to go there - again and again. The adventure this game has taken me on is the best I ever had. Thank you so much, Larian… :')

spoilers Some things that just hit me different in Divinity2 1) The ship wreck and being washed ashore on that beautiful island. The first time seeing that place was sth else. Fort Joy was always my fav and i had so many good meoments exploring every tiny corner of that beach area. 2) Landing in Act2, exploring the small wooded area and finally coming across Driftwood, our 1st major city. The size of that town took me by surprise since i was accustomed to fort joy. Not even " Bree and the vat of Vinegar lady" can ruin Driftwood for me 3) Lastly the song by Lohse after being free of her demon. I remember going to the beach below Kremm's garden with my brother and listening to her performance by the sea. Makes me wish we had a musician class that plays diff tunes via lutes
Just a great game in general. We've been playing for about 30 hours and only got into the cemetary part with Ryker yesterday. Most modern games would've ended after 20 - 30 hours and in Divinity we're still at the beginning

I don't remember a single plot point from this game. Not a one. But I'll be damned if I ever forget this song. Brilliant is too weak a word to describe this song. It evokes an overpowering sense of wanderlust and awe.
I'm from Italy and there is something familiar in this track but i can't tell exactly what it is. Maybe are the instruments (mandolin, violin, flute) that give an adventurous vibe, like a genoan or venician sailor that embarks for a long journey to exotic lands. It reminds me of our sea, and i bet that is the same for other listeners from mediterranean countries. Such a nice feeling...

Oz Talks! I dunno man, I’d have to disagree heavily with that. Agree that they’re both spectacular games, but disagree with the notion that Witcher 3 isn’t an RPG. The decisions you make in that game carry a lot of weight and provoke a lot of thought, which few games that easily fall under the label “RPG” can come close to in comparison. If the Witcher 3 isn’t an RPG, where in you’re playing the role of a character and making decisions as a character, what the hell does?
Witcher 3 and DOS 2 have at least one thing in common: Both of them have abysmal crafting systems. At least DOS 2 otherwise managed equipment much better.

147h into the game and only level 13. I am scared to keep playing this game and finally see the ending. I do not want it to stop. This music already makes me feel nostalgic.
I felt the exact same way, I never wanted it to end. During my second playthrough I was getting sad because I knew I was approaching the end, so I spoke to all my companions one last time and Lohse sang for me - I don't think I will forget that moment in the dark, was truly magical.
Beat all of act 2 on hardcore except the fight with woman who splashes lava on you. Went to go fight her, thinking I would just be cleaning up the rest of the act. Then she splashes lava on me. And I died instantly. And I had to start over the entire game. 10/10 would have lava splashed on me again
When I was down to the last couple dozen or so pages of the Witcher saga, the Witcher 3 OST I had on in the background ended and this played next, without me even realizing it. It hit so hard and perfect during those final moments of the story that I had to stop reading, grab my phone and put it on repeat for the rest of the book (and beyond). To this day it still hits those same emotions when I listen. Sorry this isn't praise for the game itself, but I just had to share my experience with this song.

I've been playing this recently and had the music stuck in my head otw home from work. I decided to look it up on YT and felt kinda silly honestly until I saw just this song has almost 300k views...makes me happy to know I'm not the only one😁😁
At the end of the game, along my man Ifan, Fane was barely holding on with Death Resist and was at 1 HP when it was all said and done. Talking to him on the Lady Vengeance after the ending was truly… divine 🥰
Didn't think any game would ever dethrone Halo 2 as my favorite... DOS2 proved me wrong. If I was able to chose a game to experience again for the first time, this is it.
I dropped the game after only a few hours. I'll pick it back up, it was just hard to click with coming straight out of BG3. But that will not stop me from using every single song in this OST in my D&D campaign.
When I played DOS2, I never thought that Larian could ever create something even more massive and cooler. The soundtracks in BG3 are also great, but they can't be compared to this.

oh there's something familiar alright... it's the same chord progression used in about half of all top 40 radio hits and movie/game main themes
Well I don't listen to the radio or watch many films, but I think it's that it just feels comforting.
All the old 4 chord progression. A classic. Like the 3 act structure it's an old staple.
While it's true that it uses I - VI - III - VII in Aeolian, who cares? It's all about the amazing orchestration that they used here.
It's not just the same chords, much of the song is a direct copy of the chorus from San Fransisco by Scott Mckenzie. overlap them and you will see

I felt the exact same way, I never wanted it to end. During my second playthrough I was getting sad because I knew I was approaching the end, so I spoke to all my companions one last time and Lohse sang for me - I don't think I will forget that moment in the dark, was truly magical.
Trust me it takes a while to get bored of it I am on my 13ish play through and am still loving every minute of it.
Omg! It's so beautiful. I can listen to this music everyday.
such an epic game, they did the atmosphere very well. Even better when I accidently stumbled on their studio in my city
This song is such energy, it makes me feel like i would stand up and dance
This is hands down, one of the best games I've ever played.
This song really hits me in feels, fantastic game!
I don't think this game has a more iconic and magnificient theme than this.
30' of pure happiness and epicness!
No dislikes. Damn straight.
Play this at my funeral or else I’m not dying.
Do you need me to use a resurrection scroll if they don't?
@@Will0Wisp1 We'll use spiritism if we need life advice
also play this at my funeral
Play this at my birth.
Ifans theme is my fav but this is just so good and calming, and then heroic.
Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long one spent in a miserable way.
the only time is now and the world needs you now ❤
When I was down to the last couple dozen or so pages of the Witcher saga, the Witcher 3 OST I had on in the background ended and this played next, without me even realizing it. It hit so hard and perfect during those final moments of the story that I had to stop reading, grab my phone and put it on repeat for the rest of the book (and beyond). To this day it still hits those same emotions when I listen.
Sorry this isn't praise for the game itself, but I just had to share my experience with this song.
DOS2 is one of 2 games where I don't just mute the music. The other being Tropico.
then you had loved spellforce 3 music man;) same here DOS2 and Tropico is thoes goes you go to YT for just for the music ..epic
~You overlook the vast sea and the sensation of a true adventure begins to set in~
Me: NOTHING CAN STOP ME NOW!
Runs into level 16 area right away.......
~You overlook the vast sea and the sensation of a true adventure begins to set in~
Me: NOTHING CAN STOP ME NOW!
Runs into a seemingly harmless scarecrow.......
Scarecrow? *Laugh in Alice Alisceon*
😀🤣
My first run in with the scarecrow was when I was already a level higher so I never struggled with him, it was upon my second playthrough that I ran into by mistake that I realized what everyone meant
I've been playing this recently and had the music stuck in my head otw home from work. I decided to look it up on YT and felt kinda silly honestly until I saw just this song has almost 300k views...makes me happy to know I'm not the only one😁😁
Seven people where so happy that they turned their Monitor 180 degree and liked the song again!
Still GOTY.. what an adventure.. it's a total masterpiece love this game so much x
I wish everyone the clarity, joy and love that I experience when listening to this song
What a beautiful song
"Hear ye hear ye queen Justina executes two dozen noble men for insubordination"
this song just doesn't get boring
My friend sent me this, never played this game but still love the song
how about now? you surely played it during past 3 years right? at least once right? RIGHT!??
Never stayed up so late for another game.
Only this song to calm my nerves after a battle where my tank warrior was absolutely fucked and my mage barely scapes with 10 hp (burning)😌
Goosebumps @1:20 every single time.
i wish there were the trumpets or the horn too that plays when you're on the boat right before rivellon sets in. what a moment that was
Exactly what im looking for. Epic and pure love
such a fantastic game. never thought a game in a generational shift will rival the mighty Baldurs Gate series..
This music is immortal!
The dislikes are people who failed to remove their source collars
I still have a feeling that the song in playing in reaper's coast when you arrive is a little different, it's different version that isn't on the OST
I have a save in reaper's coast just so I can listen to that version
damn this game is so beautiful...
