- This is the job up to roof, scaffolding just taken down and all inside work is being done. Built in Flemish bond with original bricks in black mortar. In this final stage we are putting the roof, veluxes and tiles on and I'm building the gables.#bricklaying #victorianstyle #flemishbond #joinary #roofing

Very smart job, excellent work. Thank you.
Thank you! Cheers!😊
I know it was 6 months ago Chris but been catching up on your vids. That is one beautiful extension built and every detail is spot on. Weren't the victorian builders good on detail. They never had lasers so i suppose the odd mini error here and there is understandable. Great job mate. 👍👍👍
Longhurst 🇮🇪👍 master trowel brilliant job beautiful home
Thank you Rob, nice one much appreciated 👍
Fantastic Chris. If you disregarded the present colour of the bricks it looks absolutely original 👍👍
Yeah, the original bricks were more pinky coloured time has made them the colour they are . They will weather in though
Nice to see an object of beauty being hand crafted.
Thank you very much!😊

AYYY finally, it was a bit hard in some spots but yeah, got it done didn't we, definitely mostly you guys though.
Yes we did Isaac👍
Roof looks a bit flat whats the pitch
looks well does that..How do u go about pricing a job like that? Are you supply and fix or do you work labour only on a price/day rate?
This job was labour only, I’ve always kept a day by day account of a job so for example I know roughly how long it takes to do footings, build up to DPC and how long it takes to build up etc, then I can tweak each job. Hope that helps!
Hi chris
How do you work out how long a build will take
I always keep a detailed diary of every job I do, so I have a reference to go by and I generally get it right when working out other jobs! Hope that helps..
You still building chris. Miss your vids.
Yes, just finding the time…I’ve put some on TikTok though. I’m getting footage together and will be uploading soon. Thanks for the encouragement, it’s much appreciated 👍
@@foundationgood123Good to hear from you. Please do keep posting to YT. Look forward to them 🙏
Hey Chris. It's been 4 months since you last uploaded. Everything ok?
Yeah, been working a distance from home and it’s taken my time. I’ve got plenty of footage but I should have more time to do some editing this month 😃Thanks for the enquiry and encouragement, much appreciated👍
@@foundationgood123 Glad you are still with us! Just checking :)
@@goodcat1982 Thank you, yeah I’m going to make an effort to do some vids👍
You are lucky not to be on-site with an 'elf and safety patrolman' Regardless of heat arms covered, helmet on and high vis covering over that, then gloves and safety specs - "get em on" or your booted off site!. Gone too far now, glad I'm retired.
Years ago I was on site, its all changed since those days, everyone wore jeans and lumberjack shirts or cardigans that buttoned up😆😆😆
Remember it well😂@@foundationgood123
