Only a true yard person can appreciate all of your work . Every time we have friends and family over and someone comments to me on how beautiful our home is it makes all the work we do worthwhile. Owning a home with property is a 24-7 job . It’s 100% of what you make it to be .
This video made me really emotional. Working with the family, getting the girls learning new skills, making core memories and showing the world how farmers adapt and overcome issues. Thank you for being great!
Thanks for including us for things like this. This is the reward as a direct result of you and your family’s hard work! Glad you get to have events like this now and get to enjoy it, it looks like a wonderful time and it warms the soul!
If it were me, I’d Spray paint those tire umbrella stands black. They’ll blend in a little more, matching the umbrella pole. They’d look at least 10% better, I bet.
There’s a great hymn called “Come Thou Fount of Many Blessings”. One of the great lines from that hymn is, “here I raise my Ebenezer”. An “Ebenezer” is a rock formation erected to commemorate God’s faithfulness. You could look at your rock formations as your Ebenezer to God’s faithfulness to you and your family…just a thought.
Your place is amazing. I love watching farm equipment sculpting landscape. Only wish I could get a place like this one day. I've never been a factory person I've always wanted to be a farmer working outside and digging holes. Sadly the money is in the factory but not good enough to build a farm 😕.
We're implement namers also....started years ago when the first John Deere got semi- retired from taking hay. Now "Poppin' John" still serves the farm occasionally. 💚💚
Man I'd be tempted to go swimming in it. As hot as it's been lately. An ice cold beer and a floating things to kick back on, oh man, I call that a good time after a day's work.
Man..... What a great American guy!!!! Absolutely 💯 love it... Hard working..great father.. n husband... Damn we need more of these great 👍👍👍 family stories!!!
Try EverEdge around the grass / tree area and the grass / grave area, keeps the edge nice and sharp and reduce the maintenance, not cheap but we’ll appreciate each time you look at it
Yup, Adam down in PA came up to Neil to do a pond video and that was how I found DDD. The best videos have Neil's wife looking askance at something he is up to...
Seeing you with you girls really brings me happiness. I have a 3 year old girl and i try to let her help as much as she can when im doing stuff like that. Seeing you with your kids, makes me look forward to the future where I can do more stuff with my own children.
I absolutely 💯 % love what you and your family have achieved here Neil . Much hard labour more often than not will pay off , bravo sir for all your efforts , tip my hat to a great job well done . From Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Your pond looks so amazing and what a great place to throw a party! I love the old tires. I think they add a little rustic charm to all the new. I remember when you first started digging the hole for the pond and it has been so fun watching the journey. Love that your UA-cam income bought you the patio furniture too. 😊🌸🌺
Watched all the videos of the building of the pool-pond and haven't seen your channel pop up in my feed for a while, so it was nice to see what it looks like now. Beautiful pool-pond and back yard. :)
another good video. For the umbrella stands you should get a couple of wooden barrels and do the same thing that you did to conceal the well head. you will also end up with another 2 tables
You can get some larger planters with flowers and bury the original base in them. Have part of pipe buried with adapter. If your barrel and bench start looking a little too weathered, might try a power wash on low to remove dirt from wood, then a clear protectant. Sorry I probably shouldn't give ideas for the Honey Do list, but they will look nicer and last longer.
Emmanuel.
If that is actually OCD, it sure pays off well. If not, it still works to make things sharp. Looking good there Neil. The social aspect makes all that work worthwhile. Now you just need the trailer size whole hog BBQ pit/smoker nearby so the cook can socialize too. Pulled pork and ribs! Yum.
I always chuckle when I spend a full day working on my property, then I come in for the evening and relax by watching one of your videos where you spend all day working on your property. Nice work, great to see it all come together and be able to host friends. It's why we do it!
That was awesome I hope that you and your family have a wonderful time together and keep the faith and family together! Once again I thank you for letting me tag along and enjoy your accomplishments! God bless you and your family! 🐶🇺🇸❤️👍
It does my heart good to see how you teach your daughters how to diy. Also how you make time for their activities. It seems you've found a good work/life balance. As a dad of grown sons, my encouragement to you is this: keep it up! Maintaining that balance is tough, especially in the trades, but it's so worth it. BTW I thoroughly enjoy your content. Thank you.
Don’t be ashamed of having OCD. Half of your viewers probably also have it (me included) and find great joy in watching you create an environment that is soothing to us! Lol😂
Love the videos and glad I found the channel. Nice to see family friendly entertainment and some ideas thrown in for projects to try! Hey I kinda like the tire bases but you now us guys, motorheads!
Hi Neil, if so many people can enjoy your pond then all the effort has been worth it. Looks really great, the right place to relax after a long day at work. A nice outdoor kitchen would be a good addition. Preparing a delicious BBQ while the family is swimming, that would be great greetings from Germany
The UA-cam algorithm never disappoints! I went from looking for a pool heater to finding this channel. I’m putting off the pool heater, I need to figure out how I’m going to tell my wife that I’m digging a hole in our backyard.. Well done, easiest subscribe button yet.
First time ever seeing your channel, man that other viewer you mentioned about how well you keep your place wasn’t kidding. Your place is immaculate and you all have done an incredible job! Wow, keep up the great work!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You finally finished the pond! It looks FANTASTIC and so refreshing. One suggestion though. The far side looks bare. You might consider adding some landscaping around the pond to add interest and give it a more natural appearance. OCD or not, everyone should have a homestead that looks as good as yours. Happy swimming!
Oh, I can definitely see OCD, but what fun is it in being normal, or like normal. Like the umbrella stands, you and your family have a beautiful property and the people on/in it make it the home where family comes together. Thanks for the update appreciate you taking us along, fun time.
Beautiful results from all your hard work making a vision a reality from a Hole to a Whole lot of Fun. A Harvest of Smiles and Heart warming experiences in your Families future. Your Girls did a really Great Job on the Pool House. 😀👍👍👍
With the door to your pool shed, the open holes on the hinges I believe are meant for you to put in long 3-in screws into the 2x4 or 2x6 that is behind it to help secure the door. If the wind ever catches it and swings it open so it won't tear it right out of the door frame
If the tire bases for umbrellas don't work, you can find any type of bucket and add concrete and place the metal tubing in to dry and voila, the wind is no problem GREST JOB!
Next time you mulch those trees - call an arborist friend with a good chipper (bigger chippers with sharp blades make a big difference in the size/quality of chips) and get a load or two of their chips. They all end up the same color (bought or free) after a month or two. I would also trim the bottom branches of all of those conifers to allow for more airflow / increase distance from the soil. Most the diseases that kill pines / spruces come from the ground and preventable by keeping airflow high (the higher branches will fill in the lower gap by spreading out over time). Don't overdo it but tbh just trimming nearly all the branches with anything but the tips on the ground is a good strategy).
Half whiskey barrels with a hole in the middle upside down will cover the tires up! And maybe double as another table.
Great idea
Great video Please have Happy 4th July and safe one
Good idea
Great idea!
I thought exact same thing. It would look nice! Maybe brand 3 D's on them?
Nothing like hosting a party to force the completion of the final touches. You all take pride in your property and it shows! Well done. 👍
That threat of an upcoming party or get together is the best motivation to get something done. It's an imposed deadline!
Haha, very true
Hey Neil have another party for your rehab of your truck & F750
Most major landscape projects in my life have been a result of someone’s upcoming bday party 😂
Only a true yard person can appreciate all of your work . Every time we have friends and family over and someone comments to me on how beautiful our home is it makes all the work we do worthwhile. Owning a home with property is a 24-7 job . It’s 100% of what you make it to be .
I love you including your daughters and teaching them, being patient with them and allowing them to learn!
Suggestion…. Start planting some native plants around property for pollinator habitat!!! Give back to the birds and the bees! They will thank you
They’ll just die from all the pesticides being sprayed literally feet away.
It’s not OCD Neil; it’s being a proud homeowner and father!
Yes it’s OCD
It's actually CDO if you're really OCD....
Man. He totally sounds like a young Kevin Costner. When he isn’t on camera, it feels like a young Kevin Costner is narrating!
I feel the same way too
Oh yes! My thought as well. It's spot on. :)
100%
Literally came here to say this same thing!
Agreed
Remember people saying this was crazy when you first started. Look at it now. Well done sir!
These are the good times that when you are old you will have the memories to keep you going.
I’ll say it again, Neil. You are one handy dude. You’ve got a great team too with your wife and girls. Thanks for the fun video!
This video made me really emotional. Working with the family, getting the girls learning new skills, making core memories and showing the world how farmers adapt and overcome issues. Thank you for being great!
I really appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for including us for things like this. This is the reward as a direct result of you and your family’s hard work! Glad you get to have events like this now and get to enjoy it, it looks like a wonderful time and it warms the soul!

Also, Joshua built stones of remembrance.

You're an inspiration! Such a beautiful yard, such a beautiful family. Pure joy.
Its always a GREAT video when Bruno is involved!!
We're implement namers also....started years ago when the first John Deere got semi- retired from taking hay. Now "Poppin' John" still serves the farm occasionally. 💚💚
Clearly you’re not a dairy farmer. I’m glad you have the time fix up your property and post entertaining/informative videos. I enjoy them. 😁
I was wondering if there was one other person in the world thinking this exact thought. For us the viewers it's a win win.
Awesome job on your beautiful pond clear blue water 💦 and landscape 👍💕
Absolutely wonderful! Your friends and family will have SOO many memories from what you have all created!!👌👍CHEERS!!🥂
Must say you did a really nice job. I can only imagine the wonderful memories your kids will have.
I’m from Warsaw IN, love watching your videos!
I love so much about this channel... thanks for all your hard work and sharing your pretty-darned-good life with us Neil.
My pleasure!
Man I'd be tempted to go swimming in it. As hot as it's been lately. An ice cold beer and a floating things to kick back on, oh man, I call that a good time after a day's work.
The cairn is a great addition to that space! You rock!
Love OC folks!! You two are definitely soul mates. Your home and landscape is immaculately staged. Love it.
You guys have a beautiful little homestead there! You did a great job!💙
This is a great family man. Takes care of family and guests and treats every task with care. This is what America is. Keep on keepin on.
You should get a few bar stool chairs to go around the barrel nice outside seating area and table
Man..... What a great American guy!!!! Absolutely 💯 love it...
Hard working..great father.. n husband...
Damn we need more of these great 👍👍👍 family stories!!!
Hello,
I am full of admiration that you managed to build the pond, while you have your regular job and a family to take care of. God bless you,
Thank you very much!
Highlight of the week dropped and as usual I switch out from my day for day and just immerse myself, love it Neil
Love watching you and the family do the improvements . Helps me be less of a slacker with my property . ( sort of .)
Try EverEdge around the grass / tree area and the grass / grave area, keeps the edge nice and sharp and reduce the maintenance, not cheap but we’ll appreciate each time you look at it
You guys have a beautiful place❤. Build a wooden octagon cover over the tires.👍👍
Reason I started following your channel THE POND. Excellent culmination.
Note: paint tires & have the girls paint flowers, fish etc on them.
Awesome! Thank you!
Yup, Adam down in PA came up to Neil to do a pond video and that was how I found DDD. The best videos have Neil's wife looking askance at something he is up to...
Glad you were able to enjoy the fruits of all that hard work!
Seeing you with you girls really brings me happiness. I have a 3 year old girl and i try to let her help as much as she can when im doing stuff like that. Seeing you with your kids, makes me look forward to the future where I can do more stuff with my own children.
Great property, great innovation, super blessed family, hard work and family, you have built a wonderful heritage, God bless your family
Super nice place. I’m sure it keeps you busy. Thanks for sharing 👍
RV Tire Covers have a similar color to your Umbrella's and furniture. Pop a hole in the center cover the tire and good to go.
Great job Neil, looks fabulous great improve on the tire stands love watching your channel, great family and friends, you are blessed!!!
Lol "She wants me to change it, so I'll change it." ALL men know that lil smile you gave and feeling 😅
for real. this dude will never run out of content at that pace
I absolutely 💯 % love what you and your family have achieved here Neil .
Much hard labour more often than not will pay off , bravo sir for all your efforts , tip my hat to a great job well done .

It looks amazing! Great job all of you. Enjoy! 🍻
'The Pools~Pull~Play~Putback House/Room' ... Yay! Maybe? Way Nice Job There! Enjoy for decades to come !
Beautiful place! Just redid all the mulch around our place and was shocked at what it cost now. Couldn't imagine getting 14 yards of it!!
Watched all the videos of the building of the pool-pond and haven't seen your channel pop up in my feed for a while, so it was nice to see what it looks like now. Beautiful pool-pond and back yard. :)
It has been so much fun to see this project from start to finish. Thank you!
Looks like an amazing space!
Every family should be this amazing!!
We all can do it!!!!! 💪😁
Love ur family and work hard...
Well deserved, after all of that work. This is a great transition from the kids playground area to a place for everyone to get together - A+ adulting.

"Back when I had dreams." Ha! Love watching the progress. The Pool House is pretty cool. Good job!

Huge success! I’m in the middle of a cold winter….i’m living summer vicariously through Neil. Let the good times roll 🌻🍦

The beginning of the pond videos is where I came across your content.
Means just over a year I've been following along.
Don’t be ashamed of having OCD. Half of your viewers probably also have it (me included) and find great joy in watching you create an environment that is soothing to us! Lol😂
Myself as well!
Yup, I’m one of those guys as well!
OCD is actually a really debilitating mental illness, it's not just wanting things to be neat and tidy
@@andydonaldson6084right, people think it's trendy to say they have it. Like depression these days
I'm a Virgo and I understand. I have to have everything plan lay out to a crisp and in order😂
So nice to see it come together Neil
absolute beutiful place you guys got there.
Great video Neil!! Thanks for all your hard work for us viewers.
You are a blessed man. With OCD. 🤩
Been watching this pond come together for a while now and def enjoyed watching you get its full potential
Love the videos and glad I found the channel. Nice to see family friendly entertainment and some ideas thrown in for projects to try! Hey I kinda like the tire bases but you now us guys, motorheads!
So beautiful 😇
The half whiskey barrel over the tires is a great idea.
Your so blessed 🙏🏻

Wow! Thanks a lot!
The second I saw those Milwaukee drills I knew you were a family with good taste haha
Girls did an awesome job, very cool to include them & show them how they can help put “their” touch on the home!
Congratulations 🎉
Looks amazing
Would it be helpful to plant more trees for a wind break
First time ever seeing your channel, man that other viewer you mentioned about how well you keep your place wasn’t kidding. Your place is immaculate and you all have done an incredible job! Wow, keep up the great work!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

OCD or not, everyone should have a homestead that looks as good as yours. Happy swimming!
Make a flower ring you can put onto it and take it off when you want to change the flowers.
The pride of ownership glows over the video. Great job and it looks amazing!⛱🏖🌊🍉🏊♂💦🚜🚲🎇⚾🦺🩳👙🔥🍕🧁🦮
Oh, I can definitely see OCD, but what fun is it in being normal, or like normal. Like the umbrella stands, you and your family have a beautiful property and the people on/in it make it the home where family comes together. Thanks for the update appreciate you taking us along, fun time.
you could cut a hole in the concrete walkway to allow the umbrellas to sit in. Or you could go all out and do a sun sail.
Have enjoyed seeing you working so hard on your beautiful pond. Thank you for sharing your work with us.....Brenda
It looks fantastic! Love the pride that you take in your place! To make it complete you just need a flag pole! 🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing!
👍 🇺🇸
Beautiful results from all your hard work making a vision a reality from a Hole to a Whole lot of Fun. A Harvest of Smiles and Heart warming experiences in your Families future. Your Girls did a really Great Job on the Pool House. 😀👍👍👍
As for covering up those need to hides, take a note from Monte Python a nice shrubbery alongside your path.
Happy Fourth! Everything is looking great!
Looked like a blast! Hope to one day do something like that…
It's good to be rich. Having all the equipment you need to help makes it easier.

GREST JOB!
The Property looks amazing ! You and your family have done an amazing job and made something to be proud!
I glad you are also working right up to party time. I thought we were the only ones. Great video.

Hi Neil. Looks like the party was a huge success! Now you have a great place to go if you are on stay-cation!
Congrats to 1 year of the pond, and your place looks awesome.
Your wife face was priceless when you showed her the tires.
Not OCD, it's called thorough and experienced. It's very fun to watch. Great work everyone, it looks amazing !!
So beautiful !!!
