I love the depiction and camera positionings! It gives a very spatial outlook. The paper cutouts are awesome too, which I also use them in a different setting as it brings a visual context that ties in the subsequent video feeds! Besides the great construction tips, it also works as a great instructional tutorial. GREAT JOB!
Thanks for sharing the plans for the house! After viewing many of your videos, which I enjoy greatly, I’m left wanting a view of the vision for this place/estate, the backstory about it & you/your family, a full tour of the structure & property with narration about plans & vision. Perhaps you can break those up into some good videos.
Leather palm gloves with cuff when working demo and masonry. 20 as a mason tender those gloves were my most important tool. Those tight fit knit rubber palm gloves leaves the hand vulnerable
For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother these days =)
Nice to see someone actually mixing concrete accurately... I’ve started a barn conversion that requires a reinforced ring beam to tie all the walls in and a flat surface for my wall plate.
Hi just a tip on the blood bruse under your fingernail take an strilize a 1/64 " drill bit and slow by hand drill the nail to relieve the blood out and pressure so you dont lose your nail.
I'd suggest another technique for this. A doctor did this to me when I hit my toe nail with a big, heavy part of a cabinet: Take a small needle and make it very very hot with a lighter. Then just slightly press the needle on the fingernail and hot needle will burn itself through the nail. This way you don't have that much pressure on the fingernail like when you drill through it and you don't feel it at all.
Great channel, but i want to point out that everytime i have seen someone hit their finger in that way it is always the same finger that gets hit. I have mushroomed the tip of both my ring fingers the same way as you did this but have only hit my first 2 fingers with a hammer.
You two have been working your nuts off! I'm really impressed with what you have done so far. Really enjoying the videos. Good luck with the rest of the project!
Addicted to Projects thanks mate!! Yeah it's hard work but very rewarding. Just need to balance this and the UA-cam channel better. Thanks for the comment, I uploaded a new video so make sure you check it out!

Are you Shure of what are you doing? Do you reinforce also walls? Those walls are not designed to have a very heavy concrete roof. In Italy, after recent heartquakes engeeners discovered a lot of houses where destroyed by the weight of the roof that squashed down the ancient rock walls.
the roof is no heavier than the original would have been, before the sheet roofing. we also put in deeper concrete slab floors in the rooms to compensate for the lack of wall foundation. where the walls are cracking, we also stitch them back together with rebar and concrete. and the ring beam on top of the wall is great at spreading the load evenly across the wall. lastly, we repoint the walls which again ties them together. i totally understand your concern though! its crazy how they never used to dig deep foundations.
Great planning and sharing video but recommend restoration without cement like olders made many years ago.. cement is not good either for structure of building and our minds about future. There are good options to save walls with organic materials such as Horasan, mud...
Carpentry is the main dish for these fellows, concrete work is NOT. This top rim is oversized to say the least, and ugly since it shows atop of the wall from outside. Why didn't they consult the local bricklayer for a start?
carlrogers yes, I know what it’s for. I agree the ring beam is a far stronger job, but you could of kept it back from the face 8 inches to allow for stonework? Where the wall plate sits doesn’t matter
True, but these walls will be rendered over at some point. On the main roof we did it as you say, but we needed to get this roof up quickly, and rebuilding the stonework takes a lot of time.
carlrogers It makes sense now. If you intend rendering the whole elevation, I see exactly where you’re coming from. Wasn’t trying to be critical, just intrigued. Keep up the good work👍

Become a patron....otherwise these demands are OTT.....and a bit of a cheek.
The first thing I noticed was how neatly made up you plans are. Meticulous! That is an admirable quality.
Great watching the video . Excellent work and planning

@Jonah Finn Definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :D
@Jonah Finn yup, I've been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :)
Que chulada de trabajo, felicitaciones
Can we get an update on the salon progress and the manager section behind the workshop please.
Objection to the reinforcement of concrete. I like your try.
7:13 You know leaving a ladder against a house is an open invitation for a cat to join you on the roof. They'll follow you like a jungle cat 🐆
4:45 That must've hurt like heck. *Ouch!*

Absolutely. Good consistency on that concrete fairly dry, that will set fantastically.
I seen your work as a ART.

Great video, thanks
I would suggest to use lime mortar instead of concrete. But anyways.
What a blessing y’all have restoring a lovely old building.. blessings from Texas
Can you show this completed with the French doors?
Be careful when cutting those roof boards. they look like asbestos/concrete ones.
Good bloody riddance

A common misunderstandig made by amatrures is that lots of concrete makes it stronger. Fact: the other way around.
Why didn't you use rebar?
Non load bearing
a lot of work

@@carlroge good! Ps the roof covering is asbestum ? Beware is dangerous ;-)
New subscriber, Beautiful Job❗ Vinny 🇺🇸
Did you need planning permission to introduce those new openings?

Nice cat
elmer she's the star of the show
I'm only a few videos in and I feel like shooting this cat already! : )
No concrete on old walls 😱😱😢😢 rebuild as the same plz 🙏.
You have used way too litle reinforsement for that ring beam
Your cat is a daredevil. So confident up on that old roof 😎
Your cat is a crack up! I love how he/she is always in the action!
How old is the building and property
First section was built in 1760s!
@7:24 holy shit is that a big ass chicken in the background???
It is dangerous to remove eternity in this way
Auu that finger must hurt

klein anfangen.....so ist es gut........
Great video. About to start tackling a similar project but on a slightly smaller scale thankfully. How did you fix your formwork to the wall?
Eu me apaixonei
#interesting

Aspest danger
DID YOU WIN THE LOTTERY OR IS THE QUEEN YOUR AUNTY?
Why didn’t you just rebuild the stonework?
Too much effort and doesn't tie all the wall in together. Think of it like a footing on top of the wall rather than underneath.
