Made it through that storm in my tent down on the South 40. Thank goodness for a solid backpacking tent! Not a lot of headroom but stood up well to the wind. No damage on the 182 either. Thanks for taking a minute to say hi during your dinner!
Great props from the controller and a thumbs up from me on that great landing. Damn, I was nervous, and I'm just watching a video. Thanks Kevin. Hope you, Jamie, and you family have enjoy the holidays!
Love these Oshkosh episodes as I live here in Ripon. Born and raised in Northern Illinois (Wadsworth) so it makes this channel even more fun to watch. And we had ALOT of damage here in Ripon that night.
i miss Jaime in the plane she is what gives you the wow factor! You guys are great also love the family flights. The family that flies together stays together
Exactly. Overblown big time. My wife & I volunteered at Oshkosh for nearly 2 weeks this year. Lots of work and fun. The storm thankfully turned out to be no big deal. Just rain for 45 minutes. I feel asleep to the rain in our RV in the campgrounds.
Yes, good landing. Way to stay cool and put it on the spot. Our mass arrival on Saturday received praise from the controllers as the best mass arrival ever. The storm Wed. night was something. I was at the museum through it. Had a river running through my tent after the storm.
Great job on short turn to final approach Kevin..Miss Jamie might have been a little tense but you did some cool pilot stuff rolling out level exactly at the orange dot! Controller's shout out was well deserved....nice crowd for you and Jamie at the Lightspeed meet n greet..take care and thanks for another enjoyable video!
Hey thanks for the video guys. I am UA-cam famous now. I made it into the video we had a great time hanging out with you guys. You’re certainly as cool as I had imagined.
I really appreciated the new transitions. I actually joined over Portage, WI, 12 miles south of Endeavor lake. Took forever but thanks to that, while it took a while, it was really safe.
Kevin, enjoyed your video and it's alright if Jamie decided to drive. Jamie always looks so good, even when it looks like she got rained on, so sweet, lucky dude! 💖🙏
I just loaded that flight plan into my FSX 2020 and copied every single variable I could to replicate the arrival. I had to use a Baron Twin but that's fairly close. I could not nail that base turn onto the runway for my life! Granted it's not the same thing, but procedurally it is. Very nice to get wings level and be lined up on the centerline. I could do one or the other. I make the turn but be on the wrong heading, or get the heading but not level. Touching down on one wheel!
I did my first ever Oshkosh camping this year and stayed in my little camping trailer during the Wednesday storm. With a shower house about 100 feet away I thought I'd move there if necessary. However, the noise was such that I never heard the tornado warning siren. Ignorance is bliss? Anyway had a great time this year and can't wait to get back for 2022. So impressed Kevin flew the arrival more than once. Once a year is enough for most people!
Us too. My wife & I volunteered at Oshkosh for nearly 2 weeks this year. Lots of work and fun. The storm thankfully turned out to be no big deal. Just rain for 45 minutes. I feel asleep to the rain in our RV in the campgrounds.
We never had tornadoes where I live of much consequence. That changed this summer. Along with what just happened in Kentucky my brain is screwed for life. I'm happy to see it all turned out well. Thanks for bringing us along!
I watched CitationMax fly his Jet out to safer lodging until the storm passed. I was able to also keep up on the show and was amazed at all the new technology that came out this year. Oshkosh 2021 was back with Great Gusto after 2020 ! Great to see !
We couldn’t fly to OSH this year and ended up driving there on Wednesday. We arrived around 11:45 pm after driving through a tornado with branches flying pass our car and the wind shifting from the west to the east as we exited.
And we survived the massive Tornado outbreak in Arkansas, Mo, Kentucky and Illinois last night! I'm in Kentucky . The storm passed close by Ky. Dam Village but missed.
Hello from Minnesota!! My wife and I and our 2 friends were in line in your video at the Light Speed booth!! Thanks for making us famous! Well maby not famous ha! But so cool to meet you both!
Love the camaraderie of the flying community. You guys have enhanced it a ton. One of these days perhaps I can buy you breakfast at Bessie’s since we are almost neighbors ( I’m at Casa de Aero) Ex-controller too.
Very cool. I was based near you for many years at Ramme's private grass strip (just north of Genoa). I buzzed Casa de Aero countless times in my Pitts Special, Starduster II, Swick T-Craft, ultralights etc. Lots of fun.
Brave one, Kevin. Flying into the show solo(!) and with weather on the way. We actually booked it out of there about midday on Wednesday (pre-planned but fortuitous with the incoming weather). All I could think about was the billions of dollars worth of airplanes on the ground at KOSH and hope it wouldn’t turn out as bad as predicted (which, thankfully, it didn’t). Maybe one of these shows we’ll catch up with you and Jaime. In the meantime, thanks for all the great videos!
Good to see you made it through the Tornado warning.. I remember hearing that siren warning many times while stationed at Whiteman AFB MO back in the 70's..
Glad to see a good video. Been away a while. Nice to see smiling faces there. Get to see F16s flying pretty much every day here in Alamogordo, NM. from nearby Holloman AFB.
Glad that the storm for the most part 'missed' the airport. I watched the radar and the 'tornado' went south of it. (I locally chase storm in NW IL). May the family and you have a great Christmas holiday. Take care and be safe.
I drove in from Michigan on that Wednesday, I was going to spend the night in my tent until I caught the weather report and even making an early departure I was in it around Des Plaines on my way home, maybe I'll get to meet you next time.
That was a low stress arrival compared to the others at Osh you have shared with us. lad you were able to enjoy some time there. Watching it snow here today.
My wife & I volunteered at Oshkosh for nearly 2 weeks this year. Lots of work and fun. The storm thankfully turned out to be no big deal. Just rain for 45 minutes. I feel asleep to the rain in our RV in the campgrounds. You did a great landing on 270. Well done. He is rotating at 100 mph which is crazy fast. Those bearings and tires are screaming at high rpm. And airplane tires are not typically rated for high speeds like a Z rated sports car or sport bike tire. Most of us do not balance our airplane tires although we should. They do vibrate the airplane badly after takeoff due to being out of balance. Small airplanes are asking a lot from their small diameter tires.
Cool video! I remember how hazy it was this past July with all the fires out west - your flight video shows that well. See you at AirVenture 2022! - Martin
Missed AV 21 but enjoyed watching a great pilot flying my favorite light twin handled by an awesome controller handling the landing after a smooth Fisk arrival. Just perfect, Thanks!
Great job on the video. I was there on Wednesday during the day. Left when they cut the airshow short and canceled the night show. Unfortunately I could not come back for Thursday. Would have loved to have hit the Light Speed Me and Greet. Work stuff would not allow it, the man is always keeping me down. lol. My wife did purchase me a Light Speed head set for my b-day since then. They are quite good. Driving home which is about 4 hours NNW I hit the worst of the storm near Wausau, WI. First time I ever seen clouds spin is a circle. Didn't stick around to see if a tornado developed. Would not have wanted to be tenting during that storm. You guys and anyone else who road it out are troopers. Have a great weekend.
Sorry we miss you guys Kevin! We bailed Wednesday morning because of the forecast. I really wanted to stay for the military jets, loved that in 2019! Next year!
I just watched the video and found out I’m UA-cam famous! I was the one in the wheelchair waiting to meet you, great meeting you guys maybe next time I won’t be so star struck and talk to you more than I did lol
Still loving the videos, kinda surprised you just don't drop Jamie off at nearby airport and Uber over to you...for sun n fun you can drop her at lake Wales and meet you there ..and leave with you as things aren't as crazy when departing...and as far as last weekend we'll leave Sleeping Dawgs lye....be safe
I was in Camp Scholler that night, grateful to be in my trailer and not a tent! A few buds of mine had bourbon, charcuterie, and cards against humanity while that storm rolled through. Good times!
Holy crap, that super short turn to final was nerve-wracking, even from the safety of my sofa. 😀That was awesome that the controller gave you props for doing exactly what he wanted. 👊
I think Jamie's nerves could have survived that Oshkosh arrival thanks to the new routing and the haze obscuring most of the scary stuff! 😅 Keep up the great videos and above all STAY SAFE! 🛩️❤️😷
Good to see EAA AirVenture back again. Liked the video even though she’s a big chicken. Happy Holidays. Going to be in Chicago next week and taking my five year old grandson on the Polar Express train ride at Union Station.
Thanks for sharing your years of interesting exploits and I'm guessing a career opportunity for one (or both) followed by a larger aircraft. Good luck with the sale although $335K is a bit optimistic even as well equipped as she is: I'm purchasing a '79 RAM T310R with similar attributes (and with 30% less TT) for $225K. Of course, without the recognition/notoriety yours has! Best wishes and blue skies!
I was camping south of Oshkosh near Columbia at Astico when that storm hit. They got us up in the middle of the night with a tornado warning. Made us all go to the concrete bathrooms up on the hill. Definitely scary....
Made it through that storm in my tent down on the South 40. Thank goodness for a solid backpacking tent! Not a lot of headroom but stood up well to the wind. No damage on the 182 either. Thanks for taking a minute to say hi during your dinner!

I have always been amazed with your flying, and watching 11:50-12:50 I am in awe of you...thanks for your great channel!
Good Lord, Kevin, that landing made my palms sweat! Great video, as always!
Nice landing Kevin. Thanks.
Spitfire approach, great job.
Just a little midwest summer storm...I was hunkered down at the lake house just south of there.Great video!
Exactly. Overblown big time. My wife & I volunteered at Oshkosh for nearly 2 weeks this year. Lots of work and fun. The storm thankfully turned out to be no big deal. Just rain for 45 minutes. I feel asleep to the rain in our RV in the campgrounds.
It was so good to see Jamie going to Oshkosh once again. Hopefully soon she will fly there.
That landing made me tense, but the controller expressing his praise was a nice touch :)
awwww, that was adorable...I live in central FL., we get those everyday in the afternoon for about 2 months straight.
You made me miss working Oshkosh, I worked as a controller up there during the show until 2004
Yes, good landing. Way to stay cool and put it on the spot. Our mass arrival on Saturday received praise from the controllers as the best mass arrival ever. The storm Wed. night was something. I was at the museum through it. Had a river running through my tent after the storm.

That flyover at the end is awesome with earbuds in!! You actually hear it move from left to right! Love your channel guys!
Dam nice landing!!!!
Excellent

Praise from the controller was awesome, man! Hell of a landing.
You had a LINE at the Lightspeed booth. Nice!!
You Sir are an aviator !!! That turn to final was AWESOME !!!!!
Nice work. Thanks.
Thanks for your flight and darn thunder and rain, I hope both kept warm over that night. :)
Somehow getting props from the controllers at Oshkosh makes me feel like a kid in little league who just got praise from the coach. Nice approach.
Kevin, enjoyed your video and it's alright if Jamie decided to drive. Jamie always looks so good, even when it looks like she got rained on, so sweet, lucky dude! 💖🙏
So cool to see a line to talk to you and Jamie..... good deal!

Kevin, I hope you saw the 75th Anniversary Air Force. Big presentation.
That landing was off the hook, Kevin, good job!
We couldn’t fly to OSH this year and ended up driving there on Wednesday. We arrived around 11:45 pm after driving through a tornado with branches flying pass our car and the wind shifting from the west to the east as we exited.
Kevin, that dive bomb final was epic! Great job man!
And we survived the massive Tornado outbreak in Arkansas, Mo, Kentucky and Illinois last night! I'm in Kentucky . The storm passed close by Ky. Dam Village but missed.
Just a good honest channel. Thank you.

Thats doing some of the pilot stuff!😌
Awesome landing! Good job Kevin and the controller was excellent..
Should have titled this one " Jamie gets Soaked " Nice landing Kevin, I was nervous watching, but you nailed it as usual. Have fun guys

So great seeing you guys posting another video!
I drove by KLAL yesterday, when I went by the tower, thought about your Sun-N-Fun arrival.
Was good to finally meet ya'll at osh. Great video as usual
Glad that the storm for the most part 'missed' the airport. I watched the radar and the 'tornado' went south of it. (I locally chase storm in NW IL). May the family and you have a great Christmas holiday. Take care and be safe.
Nearly hit fon du lac which is an osh alternate. I posted on my Facebook page, aviation groups to GTFO of Wisconsin.
I drove in from Michigan on that Wednesday, I was going to spend the night in my tent until I caught the weather report and even making an early departure I was in it around Des Plaines on my way home, maybe I'll get to meet you next time.

Watching it snow here today.
Awesome video as always, can you please share the link to your suction mount for your GoPro. Thanks in advance
That landing was awesome. Not smooth as butter but you nailed it. I love it not to have a miles straight approach, just turn and put it down :)
Awesome video as always. Glad the storms missed you. Thanks for sharing!
It's good to see you guys
Great flying as usual. Enjoyed it. You guys take care and have a good one. 👍👍👍❤️
Real great video keep safe you guys are the best
Couldn’t have drawn that any better 😀 great job!
That was one sporty landing, great job, and very cool you got some appreciation from the controller!
great to see our girl again
love you guys.....Jamie.....you have at your disposal the Best Pilot Ever!! Got to have Faith!! ;)
Enjoyed the heck out of this vid, it was over too soon! Hope to see you all at Sun'n'Fun.

We need to put a face to that voices of Aurora tower. :)
Totally awesome 👍
Jaime is ALWAYS impressive - on time or not! What's wrong witchoo??? Glad you survived the storm and didn't end up in Kansas, or Oz.
Great Video Kevin, I always enjoy watching
Nice episode, Kevin. It's always fun to see Jamie.
Look at the line waiting to meet Jamie.
Wow that storm and crazy weather was nuts
Sorry we miss you guys Kevin! We bailed Wednesday morning because of the forecast. I really wanted to stay for the military jets, loved that in 2019! Next year!
Really cool video. One thing better than bathroom selfies is “bathroom video” 👍🏻👍🏻 Sorry y’all got wet to get me some great lighting vid
Good twin enzines sounds today too🤗
That was a nice size turn out for your meet and greet.
What would be fantastic would be Jamie's ride to the fly in to see how many songs she sings with the radio.
That approach and landing was freakin awesome. 👍🤙
helluva landing dude
It always amazes how well ATC handles all that traffic.
I just watched the video and found out I’m UA-cam famous! I was the one in the wheelchair waiting to meet you, great meeting you guys maybe next time I won’t be so star struck and talk to you more than I did lol
Wow nice fly, Jamie definitely wouldn't have handled that well.... nice comp from tower also on your skills...
Awesome weather nice to see y’all

Miss the little guy copilot…it is going to be so much fun to watch him grow into a pilot!
Holy crap, that super short turn to final was nerve-wracking, even from the safety of my sofa. 😀That was awesome that the controller gave you props for doing exactly what he wanted. 👊
Better than jets?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year From Washington Court House, Ohio

Keep up the great videos and above all STAY SAFE! 🛩️❤️😷
Your videos make me want to go buy a plane and get back to it. Been 20 years since I have been behind the stick!
Best ever. Great video!
