- The final departure to end our EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021 trip. As I started to taxi out the controllers changed configuration from a runway 27 to runway 9 departure operation. This caused about 23 minutes of delay but could have been way worse if I was in the back of the line!

Loved the "Oshkosh Departure Rush video and all the rest of your videos!!! You made me famous in this one. I was the flight line guy (3:42 time stamp) that brought you out of the grass and turned you right onto the hard surface just before you were cleared onto the active and my Buddy was just off your right tip tank after you turned on to the hard surface. It was pretty exciting to see 1 BC taxi up in front of me . Looking forward to seeing what is next in store for you both.

I'm not an aviator my vision was never good enough...but I wanted to be one. you've given me the chance to fly with you and I will miss that. I hope where you and Jamie are headed works beautifully for you and your family.
We are sure going to miss you guys, I hope you're holding out on us and you're going to upgrade and keep flying but you're taking a job in warmer weather.
Kevin, I will echo everyone else's comments. I am really going to miss seeing your videos and adventures. I do hope sometime you will let your followers know your plans. We are all interested in your future. I am glad I could "fly" along with you. I had to sell my plane about 10 years ago. I still miss it. Not the cost 10 years later.

What better way to start a new year than flying along in N771BC with Kevin and Jaime! I look forward to what you guys have planned in the next chapter of your lives. It's been a privilege flying along with your guys in 1BC and learning lots, even though I haven't flown a plane for over 12years (which I miss every day!) Silver Badger? Didn’t you hear that Kevin and Jaime are selling their Cessna 771BC and their hangar, they really didn’t go into their potential plans afterwards but Jaime did say they must of got a better opportunity that presented itself but like I said they didn’t go into details about it,

Even before I found out you were getting rid of 1BC, I thought with the shape this world is in, 22 wasn't going to be any better than 21. Then I found out you and Jamie were leaving, and not giving much explanation, just reinforces my opinion. I hope everything is good with ya'll in the new year. You will be missed.

Jamie and Kevin, it’s super sad to see that Jamie is now fearful of flying into air shows (maybe she is smarter than the rest of us). But, it’s even more sad to see that you’re selling everything. Lots of folks are speculating that you’re getting something bigger and better, but your last video didn’t feel that way. Your buddy John’s Cessna 340 was the first video that I saw you in, and that ultimately that led me to buy a Cessna 414. I flew that to Oshkosh 2021 (same event of this video). It was a pleasure to meet Kevin at the air show.
As a former FAA ATC myself, I feel a sense of camaraderie with you both. I spent two decades separating planes in California, at ZOA, SCT and CMA. I also flew for airlines and a few corporate jets around the world.
Maybe I’ll help fill the void left by your awesome UA-cam channel, and start something on UA-cam. All that I need is a hot female to accompany me! All prospective candidates, send me a PM !!!

Oshkosh 2021 was absolutely the highlight of my entire year. I wish I'd known you were there. I would have loved to meet you. Can't wait until next July! Hope to see you two next year. If I don't fly there, we'll be camping at Astico south of there. Rick from Tucson N2953U.
A lot of things can happen in aviation. Maybe a job relocation. Maybe he lost his medical ? Something definitely is in the works. Just hope and pray things are ok with them and the family.

1988 departure in my P310T taxing for 30 minutes on the grass to 270 with cylinders almost at red line with a strong wind from the west. I should have got out of line and turned to the west to cool down but departed anyway. The takeoff used almost the entire length because of lower boost from the engine temps. That was a scary one and promised myself to never do that again.
I don't fly planes, but from what I understand, long heavy durations of taxiing on a high friction surface (grass) would cause your engines to overheat, thereby reducing the maximum takeoff power? This reduction in power, I guess means a longer time to reach takeoff speed.
I like science, technology and engineering, and learning about aviation falls neatly between these three categories. :) Happy New Year BTW.
