    Wow. What a great presentation. For the first, virtually every one of your tips were revelations to me, and will be very useful. It’s rare to find such direct, well explained, no hype, just great info. Love your style, no wasted words, but explained at a level that we all can understand the concept (and also nice that you point out “it might be weird” etc. such as saving mixes before you being, though that made perfect sense to me, have don’t it always. Really, every tip here was a gem! I have subscribed, belled, and liked this! Now I’m going to check out your other ones! Thanks so much. It’s rare to find this level of instruction. The only other consistent cakewalk tutorial help I find at this level is “creative sauce”. Great job! Made me very happy to discover your videos!

    Fit Improvisation is a quick tool to adjust tempo. You record a MIDI click to match the music tempo and it adjusts the tempo to your improvisation.
    Another trick would be to use audio and click drumsticks to the beat, and record that. You get better transients on the beat.
    Of course both of these methods rely on you playing as accurately as required to match the original beat.

      Yep, it's still a thing, although back in 2018 we were all left in the lurch by Gibson when they dropped Sonar. Luckily Bandlab picked it up and now it's 100% free and more feature rich than ever. It's certainly worth checking out the latest version, you'll be very pleased with the new features.

      Thanks Saron. I'll be honest, I've never tweaked the look of Cakewalk, I'm happy to load a theme and get working on music. But if you install the Theme Editor through Bandlab Assistant, you can tweak to your heart's content.

    I have found very little useful information on setting up midi control surfaces. Yes, there are plenty how to get started vids but none that show how to configure say the transport controls of the Midi controller to communicate with Cakewalk. How to use the "Generic Control surface" or use the ACT feature. I have recently purchased an Alesis VI49 and there is next to no info and none from Alesis themselves just a manual that may as well be in hieroglyphics. Yes, I can play the Keyboard and punch the drum pads but ut would be nice to know how to use the rest of it.

    Why do people always call it Cakewalk by Bandlab, and not just Cakewalk?

    • @NeelModi_dotcom
      @NeelModi_dotcom  3 роки тому +1

      I believe it's so we can differentiate it from Cakewalk Sonar, which is still used by some people, even though it's now deprecated. Once enough time passes, we'll probably refer to the current software as Cakewalk.
