I installed my A25 keyboard step by step as you explained and all knobs seems to work but I got no sound from the keyboard. Can you tell me how this come?

In several ways, VIP is so much better than Komplete Kontrol for my use! I'm still hoping for VIP 4! I've tried everything but haven't found anything comparable. However, I also think the preview function in Komplete Kontrol is very good. But maybe soon there will only be one company left anyway: NI...

damn i wish i found this video years ago when i started producing music, ran into the programs not talking nice issuses. if i had to use a plug in i had to restart my folder and do my edit as fast a possible then save made me better but still wish i didnt me chaning my wire right now just fixes one issuse i had with studder. now it is running fine

IS there an easier way to do this using audiosnap ?

I would prefer to use, audio transient, audio snap, tempo mapping to make the grid match my performance instead of locking everything to a stationary grid. Creates a much more natural sounding recording.

I am a human that wants to have fun. Here is a scenario I envision. Three people. An electronic drum kit and two MIDI controller keyboards on separate stands. One human plays the drums triggering a software virtual instrument. Each of the two keyboard players play virtual instruments all from the same laptop. The keyboard players are able to choose their keyboards sound and effects from their controller. In 2023 it seems like this might be possible. Logic Pro finally allows MIDI controllers to be selected as the input on a track. Computers should be fast enough to have three instances of software virtual instruments playing at low latency. Apparently NI Control can only have one patch selecting keyboard at a time. You have to switch between multiple keyboards. Somewhat workable. Can you sense my sarcasm and frustration. Otherwise the person in front of the laptop has to select the sounds for each keyboard. I don't think Roland TD3 kits can select toon track drum kits lol. Can you do this? Finally treating a laptop like a multitimbral hardware sound module.

Fit Improvisation is a quick tool to adjust tempo. You record a MIDI click to match the music tempo and it adjusts the tempo to your improvisation. Another trick would be to use audio and click drumsticks to the beat, and record that. You get better transients on the beat. Of course both of these methods rely on you playing as accurately as required to match the original beat.

if youd like some improvment when putting vocal lyrics use + signs on english banks use -'s as stand alone notes to carry the last word For instance Squirming and Screaming instead of putting it as Squirm ING or scream ING Use the full word on one note and replace the next note as just a + So [Scream] [ ing ] is now [Screaming] [ + ]

It's great to see that you have been able to get your interface working again, sounds like you had a lot of issues though. I bought a Beringer version of this interface with the sane no. of inputs and outputs. I actually bought it because at the time(2021), it was only £70, whereas the focusrite option was significantly more expensive. I'm very happy with my audio interface and I've not run into a single issue with it yet, I guess time will tell! Great that you've had your interface up and running for so long🌟🍀💚

I've had clocking issues with Focusrite interfaces. After contacting tech support at Focusrite, I got the sorry we can't do anything to fix this. They recognized the fault in not one but both Focusrite interfaces I own. Thanks for nothing, Focusrite. I recommend RME or Audient. Much better interfaces (I own both an RME and Audient as well as an old MOTU 828 MKII). The great thing about RME is that many years ago RME bought a company that make USB interface chips allowing them to completely customize and tweak the firmware within the USB interface chip, optimizing it for audio purposes. Normally the firmware inside the chip is only accessible by the manufacturer and set at time of production. I've gone through multiple OS upgrades and the RME has always delivered without issue.

Great video, thanks. I won't buy a Komplete Kontrol keyboard because the KK software is so awful. I had a KKS61 MK2 and dumped it after a few months because of the software.The fixed sized window, not saving my view settings between sessions, not allowing Users to tag or add VSTs not natively supported with NKS. The way the KK app keeps resizing itself to the size of the plugin drives me crazy and it often leaves the name of only 3 or 4 patches visible. This is all basic stuff that NI should have fixed by now. Its about 4 years ago i tried KK and thought "this is bad, they need to fix it." Four years later it is still awful with none of those things fixed. VIP was (and still is) great, just wish Akai would pick it up again. Its such a great tool.

VIP should have been used on all the Akai keyboards 🤦🏾‍♂️ and mpc’s .. Sold my mpc touch because it forced me to have mpc beats open just to use it right in flstudio… I don’t like having two DAWs open at the same time.
