I was just eyeing the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus books in the corner, PJO fans, where you at?
*raises hand*
@@martegausdal6448 I'm currently the harry potter series(I'm on the 5th one) & was eyeing the harry potter books in the left...but I definitely will want to start reading The Percy Jackson series.
Here
I have read the bear and the nightingale and I thought it was a 0.25 book so really bad and I just want to share my anger😠
I love Percy Jackson however I’m a Kane chronicles girl
When you said “they both die at the end” for a second I was like wtf spoiler
You should do like a makeup routine/updated makeup book tag because your makeup gives. me. life.
@Michelle Lovinger Why are you advertising in a comment section for someone else's video? Why don't you comment this on one of your own videos.
What's more important. That 20 page essay i haven't started for tomorrow. Or Hannah's new video.
Be honest.
minha iqbal YOUR ESSAY IS MORE IMPORTANT (but thank you for being here I appreciate you 💕)
You just reminded me that I have an essay due tonight at 12:00 PM. Better get started on that.
I love Jane the virgin!!! I’m so excited that they actually published the book in real life haha
Jennifer Saldana me tooooooo
Yay another video from Hannah! You're legit my favourite Booktuber, LOVE you! ❤
• PrerV • Thank you! I love YOU 💓

I love this list! Especially happy to see Rebecca on the list as I'm writing on it for my MA in English Literature as I read it for my undergrad. The only thing (just as it's a major point of the novel and the themes) is that the 'protagonist' of Rebecca isn't called Rebecca. Rebecca is the dead wife and the protagonist is never named which is vital as the book is about how her identity if affected by the remains of Rebecca's presence in the house. Hopefully, that makes sense - I just didn't want you to get confused when reading it but I hope you enjoy it so much, personally I love it :)
Thank you for clarifying that! I was actually kind of confused because the summary on the book makes it sound like her name is Rebecca lolll
Haha it's okay yeah a lot of summaries about Rebecca do that and it's a little disheartening when people don't like the book simply because summaries aren't clear about that so they get confused :')
Thank you for clarifying this! Rebecca is one of my all time favorite Gothics so when I heard the recap in this video I was like "noooo" 😂

I CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT
Hey Hannah just wanted to say thank you for posting videos and awesome content and being just a wonderful person and youtuber. Recently, times have been tough for me and watching your videos makes me so happy and motivates me, so thank you💚💚💚
I'm so sorry that you've been going through a rough time recently. Sending you so much love. You're not alone
they both die at the end ruined me for like 3 days. i knew it was going to hurt going in but it was not the punch in the stomach i thought it was- it was like falling down a stone staircase and hitting every single step in a new part of your body. you think by two thirds of the way down there's no way it can hurt anymore, but there's a new pain each time and you can't stop the momentum and avoid the hurt. it's a great book :)
Hey, which one are you taking about?
@@rohan2430 the name of the book is 'They Both Die at the End'
@@ari-ws1vb Thanks, I'm going to read it .
Ugh that book made my heart hurt. Even tho I already knew what would happen at the end from the book title, I still wasn’t prepared for what happened
Kat Hunt shut up you spoilers D:
read persepolis!! its a pretty quick read and its super good
Now I can add more books to my „what I want to read in 2028 list“😂 Love this video 😍🙌🏽
ATon11 2028???
Haha yeah...too many books to read 😝
You should try Neil Gaiman’s books if you like fantasy books. His writing is amazing and whimsical and things. He makes fantastic worlds, I think you’ll love him (if you haven’t read his books before).
I really loved good omens but I had to read it in two bits becuase I wasn't in the mood suddenly half way through the book 😂😂
Your friend's right, definitely read his dark materials first 😍 it's harry potter level of addiction!
Ahhhhh just what I want!
Are you an avid reader?
You got the plot of Rebecca kind of wrong, as a warning for anyone planning on reading it (Rebecca is the name of the dead wife- it's a big point of the novel that the "main character" isn't given a name). It's still a really good book, as is My Cousin Rachel, also by Daphne du Maurier. The film's great too!
Marvin's Square Tie Are you an avid reader?
I love the show Victoria too. (Like, it's lowkey better than The Crown...) Also I'm Canadian, so That Inevitable Victorian Thing just got added to my TBR. Thanks Hannah!
Edit: The Language of Thorns is f*ckin fantastic I love it so much! I hope you like it! :)
Yes! It makes my day each time I get a notification of your new video! 😊 just a daily reminder: you are an amazing person & we adore you! Keep doing what you love (a big plus for making a ton of us extremely happy as well) 😉💚 Whichwood sounds like a Slytherin read #housepride
I really want to read The Book Thief, Turtles all the way down , Eliza and her monsters and The hate you give . Lovely video.Hope you have a wonderful time reading all the books :)
You're past 97.5K subs, on the slippery slope to 100K. Wonder what you'll do then?
Cry a lot from an overwhelming amount of love and gratitude
I've tried to read a tale of two cities about 4 times and can never finish it, but I've tried because of the Infernal Devices as well. Maybe someday...
I've read it twice in the last year. The first part is very dull, but once you get to book two, the trial & meet Sydney Carton, the story gets so deep and amazing!
I absolutely want to read the hate u give, The upside of unrequited, and Eliza and her monsters soon
three of my absolute favorites!! I hope you love them all!
Everytime she mentions a book in any video she says it's her favorite!
"What's your favorite book"
"Oh I don't know maybe all of them" 😂😂
U must must must read Persepolis!! It is amazing! And if u havent, also check out Maus by art spiegelman becuz thats another one of my fav graphic novels!
As soon as I saw "They Both Die At The End" I immediately liked this video! Currently reading but it's so good so far!
What is the story about?
I just want Wild Beauty just because it’s SO DANG PRETTY
Jay G it really is 😍
You could describe any book and it would sound good wow😎
Also omg your makeup is incredibleee
You are seriously a great inspiration for reading!! ❤️
Indie Thank you so much 😭💜
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy was amazing. I thought I want going to like and it would be boring but it ended up being one of my favorite books of the year, even if I knew that Simon was...you know, because I had already read Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows
I'm reading a Torch Against the NIght right now, the first 100 pages have been a bit slow, in my opinion. But I really loved the first, An Ember in the Ashes.
“His Dark Materials” is an AMAZING trilogy!!!
POST NOTIFS FAM WHERE YOU AT??
we love you han!!❤️❤️
I'm hereee
I love youuuuu 💗💗💗
A Clockwork Reader i love YOU!❤️
Just so you know, the angels game actually takes place BEFORE the shadow of the wind so it’s technically a prequel. I didn’t know that going in, so I was super confused at first 😂 but it’s still absolutely breathtaking
Julia Francis ohhh I didn’t know that! Thank you for letting me know!
A Clockwork Reader yep of course! And prisoner of heaven takes place after:) just didn’t want you to get confused bc it took me a hot second! TAG actually follows a man who works closely w the woman who eventually becomes Daniels mother :)
I love your videos and would be honored if you check out a book I wrote on Amazon called "Such unfortunates" by Andrew Mann. It's a true story and it will blow you away!
I just read your book and it was literally one of the best books I have ever read in my whole life!!!! I could not put it down and would not be surprised if it turns into a movie!
Someone has probably said this but in 'Rebecca' you never found out the girl who marries the man's name. She is known as Mrs DeWinter or however it's spelt. Rebecca is Mr DeWinter's dead wife.
Rebecca by Daphne Du Marier is one of those thriller gothic novels. It has a dark atmosphere and enigmatic characters! I'd recommend reading it around Halloween. Also, check out the 1940 film adaption--it accurately depicts the story and it's in black and white, so I personally thought it added to the whole sinister-vibe !
'Wonder', 'Rebecca' and 'The Fault in our Stars'
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy was amazing. I thought I want going to like and it would be boring but it ended up being one of my favorite books of the year, even if I knew that Simon was...you know, because I had already read Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows
Nooo! The main character in Rebecca isn’t named that, she’s an unnamed narrator which is very symbolic to the book, you’ll see :)
Queen Of Air And Darkness! 😂 Six Of Crows and A Darker Shade of Magic books
All the books sound interesting. I'm gonna expand my horizons and try some of these out. Super excited😀😀
Jocelyn Silva I hope you find something you love!

Does anyone know a contemporary book tuber that only does contemporary romance? I have only found one so far
When you said you didn't like the shatter me SERIES I literly sobbed
Spoilers
What about Warner and juliette an what about kenjie(I know i didn't spell that correctly but anway)and the girl who's name is way to hard to spell and I can't be bothered to get out of my bed to get the book.
And what about Adam and...... what about Adam
I absolutely LOVE Zafon's book. Both his series and stand alone books. Currently I'm trying to get my hands on fourth book in the series but I'm also reading darker shade of magic and sarah j maas' books so I don't really have time because I also attend college. Struggle is real.
I FEEL THAT STRUGGLE
Feel you two!! I cannot say how incredibly excited I was when I saw somenone finally reading a Zafon book on Booktube!! I love his writing style and simply every word of his gives warmth to my heart and peace to my soul.
I have heard ENDLESS praise for the Bear & the Nightingale and I desperately want to read it this year as well!
Mackenzie Lane Are you an avid reader?
Yay!! I found so many books of my 'kind' in this video 😍😯.
And also , I want you to know that you have inspired me to start my own booktube channel (bookish talks),💜because i love reading and i always wanted to share my feelings with someone (Booktube be a good community)
I am really grateful to have found your channel in first place and i love your explanations and everything❤
P.S-If you can watch any of them and give me some tips to improve my videos. 🙏😳
I've never watched Jane the Virgin, but the concept of Snow Falling is so great, i love that they published it. I also want to read They Both Die at the End in 2018; I have yet to read any Adam Silvera and I really feel like I'm missing out
oh my soul!! i just watched jane the virgin not to long ago i cant wait to get my hands on this book! i just recently found book tube and cant stop adding books to my tbr pile !
I really enjoy your videos!!😍
Λουίζα Γκιόκεζα Thank you so much!
OMG U WATCH VICTORIA I LOVE THAT SHOWWWW
Femi Brooks ITS SO GOOD
I absolutely adore They Both Die in the End, it was amazing!
Um you sold me on that Victorian book. I also want to read Rebecca.
A tale of two cities actually shattered me.its so good it’s about sacrifice and love and I loved it.keep in mind I read the revised child version as I was like 7 when I read it. It’s by far my favourite Charles Dickens. Hope you like it 💓💓💓❣️
I bought a tale of two cities for the exact same reason aha 😂❤️
Notification Squad!!!
oh my gosh your reason for wanting to read A Tale of Two Cities is exactly the same as my reason for reading it 😂 one of my favourite parts of TID is all the conversations between Tessa and Will about books 😋
they both die at the end DID break my heart. oh wait IT STILL DOES **wailss**
HIS DARK MATERIALS OMG ITS SO GOOD SORRY BUT I LOVE IT
YOU SHOULD REALLLLLLY REALLLLLY READ Furthermore also by Tahera Mafi. It gives more incite on her world. It is REALLY good! I ALSO read They Both Die At The End, and spoilers (it's not really a spoiler), it is REALLY good. I bought in in the phillippines, (it is the ONLY time my mom allows me to buy books, other than book fairs,) it wont disappoint. FYI, it is a romance. And LANGUAGE OF THORNS! It will NOT disappoint. It's the first Bardugo book I ever read, and I got so friggin hooked on Leigh Bardugo after that.
Hannah, my TBR's just growing with each of your new videos. You are one of my favourite booktubers !!
The funniest book I have read this year so far is written by a guy called Phil Street. A good dose of British humour. Four men on days out visiting Pubs, Bars and Nosh Houses. Silly banter with a lot of questionable historical fact? Available on Amazon. Days Out (The Funboy3) a catalogue of ridiculous yarns.
Omg where did you get the Snow Falling book. I am done Jane the Virgin and I loved it so much, too much!!
Great video :) I hope it is ok to ask for some help this way. I started a new channel and one of the things I will be doing with it is, review a book a week. I will dare to ask and see what happens. When you were starting your channel, if you knew then, what you know now, how much easier life would be? Would you be willing to share with me some tricks and tips in order for my life to become a little easier and for people to benefit from my book reviews? Love&Respect
They both die at the end sounds so good !!!?
Plus Charles Dickens is really good and that cover is gorgeous !!!
😙😍👑❤
I know, I love the cover too! :D
You're definitely going to cry reading the Princess Diarist! lol Not only because of who wrote it, but what Carrie talks about is also very emotional! I binged it in a day in December and I highly recommend reading it sooner than later!
My gosh, They Both Die at the End! It was my first read of 2018 and that was definitely a great choice. I really liked it, though it wasn't as heartbreaking as I thought it would be. 4/5 stars for me, and yo, I totally totally loved Rufus. Hope you enjoy it!
For a anyone who sees this try reading “16 things I thought were true” it’s an amazing underrated book and the end definitely made me cry
I haven't read That Inevitable Victorian Thing yet but I love EK Johnston's other books that I've read. I've read A Thousand Nights and Spindle by her and I really enjoy her characters and writing style. Also I wish you luck with reading a Tale of Two Cities. It was one of the books I was supposed to read during high school but I'm not someone who enjoyed being forced to read and over analyze books for English classes. 15 year old me barely read any of it and I didn't enjoy what I did read of it but I hope that you can enjoy it.
After you finish great expectations you should read David Copperfield by Charles Dickens it’s in my opinion his best book :)
Rebecca sounds super interesting and mysterious what'd happen after she know him.
I enjoyed The Weight of Feathers, but Wild Beauty is blowing me away :) I love magical realism, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I am! I also am hauling That Inevitable Victorian Thing this month and hope to get to it asap.
i m reading stephen king IT these days. and next is song of ice and fire. but wanted to ask i read very slow and its taking me forever finishing book and yeah many times i dont read for many days. but i used to read a lot before now in one sitting i cant read more than 10 pages. max is 30 and it takes me hours. so can u suggest what should i do. i dont regret reading slow but want to read more and more so if i can read fast it will help/
Aaah I'm so excited to read An Ember in the Ashes now, because it's on my 2018 tbr and I don't know why I haven't picked it up yet! Great to hear that you loved it!
I've read the first 2 books in the His Dark Materials and I really enjoyed them! Hopefully I'll read the 3rd one soon :)
Good luck with your tbr!
Hi Hanna, You're amazing. Super Excited to see the books.
Thanks
Sadia Afrin Thank you so much! I hope you find one you’d like to read ☺️
I loved The Night Circus so much. The book you mentioned "The Bear and the Nightingale" looks so much like the Night Circus. Glad that I've another one like that. Though I'm not sure if any book like that one would reach up to my expectations but this book sounds good. I'm definitely gonna try it. Thanks.
Awesome video! Eating food this morning and watching booktube best of both worlds. But I need coffee lol.
OH MY G O D THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS *wordless screaming*
a tale of two cities was the first book i read for school that i thoroughly enjoyed definitely a great great read
Surprised that you haven't read two cities. Honestly i have a really old hand me down version of the book and i believe it has old English in it, very hard to adjust to. I was hoping for a wider spectrum of genres but some of the books i will definitely read.
You should read Adam Silvera's More Happy Than Not! The writing is amazing and it's a one-of-a-kind book that will shaTTER YOUR HEART INTO A MILLION PIECES
Damn it I want all of these ^^ I have a ton of books I want to read this year but I also want to take the time to reread some of my all time favourites (like the Dark Materials haha). Whenever I try to reread a book I always feel guilty because I think of all the new books I could be reading instead but Ariel Bissett on youtube inspired me, it just seems so fun !
I'm a BOOK LOVER too but I don't get chance to read all the books I love to... But I wanna know many more things about books.........♥
watching your videos motivates me to read ❤️💫
I'm probably the only one who didn't like Ember inthe ashes. I wonder if I should give the second booka shot
I really hated The Bear And The Nightingale, unfortunately. I don’t think it’s anything like The Night Circus, which I enjoyed last year! The top 3 books for me to read this year are: TFTSHA, like you, The Handmaids Tale, and The Hate You Give!
My top three books that I would love to read in 2018 is Children of Eden by Joey Graceffa, Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan, and The Program by Suzanne Young.
A TALE OF TWO CITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's genious ❤ I love Dickens 😍 It's heartbreaking but it also gives hope. Sydney Carton is one of the most interesting and fascinating characters of all time. It is easy to see that Infernal Devices was inspired by A tale of two cities which makes it even more heartbreaking 💔 ,,I want you to know that you have been the last dream of my soul"
I plan on reading The Night Circus, The Book Thief, The Hate U Give, Lost in a Book, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, Library of Souls, and the Harry Potter series. I also want to reread The Hobbit
I've read Rebecca and the Zafón-series. Rebecca is SO good! And when you've read it you should watch the Hitchcock-film, just sayin'. I'm not a huge fan of the Zafón-series, but my husband really liked it.
Have you ever read the classic Dorian Gray? It is a book I think you would enjoy and there was also several movies made but the one in color set in old timey England is the best film. I can find the stars names if needed.
Yay, the bear and the nightingale was in my top 5 of 2017!!! Absolutely S T U N N I N G book, but I don't think it's anything like uprooted or the night circus ( i disliked both ). It's rather more like an old-fashioned fairytale, but with truly fleshed out and captivating characters. I think it has an excellent portrayal of moral greys. Looking forward to your review of it once you've read it!
Omygod. I wish I had many books just like yours. Turtle's all the way down caught my attention Hahahaha. I just love John Green's books
Hannah!! I've been watching your videos for a good amount of time because I just love everything you read and I'm always looking for books to pick up. However, I have a rec for you that I think you'd enjoy. Tell The Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt is, what I summarize, as a modern day To Kill a Mockingbird. It tackles an explosive topic through the eyes of a child that is relatively likable, doesn't understand why this topic is so explosive, and deals with the problems of the adults around her. I think you would really enjoy this book based on what you read and like from the Realistic Fiction genre.
Thank you for your time!
I just happened by your channel one day and found out we have the exact same taste is books! I would LOVE to have a bookshelf as impressive as yours one day. My top three books to read in 2018 are: The Diviners by Libba Bray, The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee, and Nevernight by Jay Kristoff.
TOASA is AMAZING you really have a love-hate relationship with Simon because of his choices in the book. (I also have to warn you, the Bane Chronicles really let me and my friends down. Just warning you.)
I read The Bear and the Nightingale early last year. It's So good. That's all I will say. (I also read the sequel late last year, also fantastic) Also, I'd like to say that it's not that much like The Night Circus in my opinion. BatN is more of a retelling of a Russian fairytale, Vasilisa the Beautiful.
You should check out Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha #1) by Tomi Adeyemi when it comes out in March. I got an eARC from NetGalley, I'm about ten chapters away from the end and it's just so good. You must read it.
Wooo I'm reading A Tale of Two Cities right now also! Personally I think it's rather good. Caution: It's a bit slower (in the beginning at least, I'm only like 140 pages in) and can be difficult to understand if you aren't good at interpreting 18th century English. Definitely worth it though! Has quite a sharp wit, that Dickens does.
I read 'Rebecca' last year and absolutely loved it! I went straight onto 'My Cousin Rachel' - which was even better! Enjoy. (By the way, Rebecca is the name of the dead wife, the female protagonist is unnamed🙂)
I plan on reading The Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices Trilogy, and Jesus Behaving Badly by Mark L. Strauss. I will definitely look into most of the books in this video.
You should try reading the Obernewtyn Chronicles by Isobelle Carmody. Its a science-fiction/fantasy/kinda YA series set generations after a nuclear holocaust. It follows Elspeth, a girl known as a misfit (a person born with mind powers) and her quest to stop the machines that caused the first holocaust from starting another. It's such an involved and layered series with so many amazing characters and vivid world building. It's my favourite series of all time and it would be so amazing if you checked it out! You have given me so many great reads, I would love to return the favour!
