- Nanny finds joy in the early hours of the day…her special cup of coffee, gardening at sunrise or sitting outside meditating with nature, the birds and Shamu. It was a week of many of the fun things in her life…thrifting, digging in the dirt, sewing , cooking ….and most of all…seeing family with Moosie. Yes…the real trick to Aging and Growing Older…is definitely to ENJOY IT…as best you can! ❤️

Nanny you are so generous. I started off the morning right by watching your cheerful video. What a truly beautiful daughter you two have. You are so lucky. She has such a beautiful smile. You and Moosie look great, healthy and happy. I don't know why this video made me cry. Probably because seeing your beautiful family makes me miss my family living far away and I won't see them till June of 2024. The carefree disposition you have and the enthusiasm you show to always find something you love to keep you busy is such a great lesson for all of your viewers.

I’m jealous of your birds I hear chattering. After a rain here in NC our birds will chat with each other like yours. People overlook birds. And bird watching is a lovely hobby. All you need is an Audubon book and a pair of binoculars. And I am sure there are bird watching clubs everywhere. And they welcome new members. It’s a lovely way to take in a morning walk with a group.

Dubby’s office is beautiful. What a cool first job -delivering newspapers on a horse. Thank you for the last video. It gave me some new ideas of how to relate to my grandchildren.
Nanny…right there with you about mornings. I know that my most productive time is before noon. But one of the big changes I made in my daily life is instead of having my coffee & watching the news , about 6 months ago I started instead to take my coffee and sit on my patio and start my morning with the birds and my plantings. I recite my gratitude journal for the day, enjoy my coffee and sometimes read. That change has made a huge difference I the tone of most days. I even did it on really cold winters mornings with a jacket and a blanket. It has proven to be a small change that makes a big difference.
Isn’t it amazing, Bobbie, to reap such Joy from a simple life habit change of just an hour or so …being one with nature and your feelings? ❤️🌺

I grew up in Indiana & as a kid in winter I would turn off the register & open the window at the head of my bed - mom laughed at how you could see your breath in my room, LOL. So I think your dad was right, because I was a very healthy kid.

Good morning Nanny. You and I have the same sleep patterns. I have always enjoyed the early morning. We have been having such beautiful weather this week that it is uplifting to be outside. Doctors have proven that it is beneficial to our health to experience the sunshine within an hour of waking. I find early morning to be so peaceful. It was wonderful to see Shamu. I love the necklaces that you picked up. Oh, that date bread and cream cheese looks so inviting with a cup of tea. I can’t wait to see your new overalls. Nanny you should really wear your seat belt. The begonia looks beautiful in that pot! Love the sound of the birds singing in the early morning. My mom was like you, up with the birds. It is a good way to start the day, very calming. Your hat is very much like one my mom bought for me to wear on the beach in Florida one year when she and I went on a vacation there. Mine had a turquoise sash on it, that could be tied under my chin. I wound up wanting her to wear, and have a photo of her on the beach wearing it. Anyway, fashion rabbit hole story. The twice baked potatoes look delicious with the meatloaf. I enjoyed seeing Dubs beautiful office. Very nice atmosphere. You all look so nice in the photos. Good to see Shamu is coming along and adjusting well after his recent ordeal with the roof coyotes. Did you know that if you plant marigolds around your basil and tomato plants, it will protect them from slugs and other things that want to munch on them. You can plant some marigold seeds freestyle, or put in marigold plants. It's something about the pungent scent they give off. Thank you for the video.Take care and have a great week. Loved Dubbies outfit! It must have been so perfect to have her own horse, along with Colleen and Margie. Love it that they rode bareback!! I always did growing up. And when as a bit older teen, was forced to sit on a huge saddle on a big riding school horse. It was a weird thing for me. I did not like it one bit.

I just found you and Moosie a few months ago, so recently I have been catching up on some of your older videos. Today I watched the post from when Moosie was in the hospital with sepsis. I was so touched today and in some other videos. You are my favorite "go to" on You Tube. One of the reasons I love you so much is because you are open about your faith and prayer. I think you are beautiful on the outside, but pretty faces are all over the internet.. Women of faith are much harder, if not impossible to find on social media. I have watched you thank your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and pray for Him to help you find your glasses and I feel a real "kinship" because of that, as well as your love of big earrings. Please take care of yourself and your Moosie because you have become like "family" to me and I couldn't bear to lose either of you. May God bless you both. P.S. I pray for good parking spaces LOL!

P.S. Like your little inclusion about the window open in the winter. 😊 Growing up in a "much colder than it is now" VT and having had parents who grew up on a beautiful farm in a higher elevation than town, I think its in my genes that I prefer cooler temperatures. I too prefer a cracked winter bedroom window and so did my aunt, my father's sister. She did this all her life. I was so very lucky to have her and her brood of 8 children live next door to our family of 5. Great times with all my cousins and a fresh water lake within walking distance. Well, walking distance for children of my generation at least...and barefoot at that. Just a bathing suit wrapped up in a towel and a day of fun!
