Watching this makes me realize more how much unlearning I have to do concerning nutrition. I always still hear the keto/low carb rules or the don’t eat anything white rules. Do you know how long I’ve avoided white rice? And I love white rice! Thank you for this video. You’re challenging my thinking!
I always thought of the "bad" foods (which I'm slowly unlearning) as the fast food, the cake, the cookies, ice cream, pasta, etc. I never thought of them in the perspective you just explained. How do certain foods make me feel after I've eaten them? Do I get bloated, feel sluggish, lazy, tired, so full, etc. Don't know why I never thought of it that way. It's just like intuitive eating. Thinking about what my body wants me to feed it. This video was very helpful for me, thank you Eric!
Chips are my downfall! And my husband loooves snacking of them too but he only has a handful at a time..me on the other hand cant stop until I eat the whole bag 😅 now I make him take all the bag of chips with him to work so I can't sneak them haha, may seem extreme but it works
You have helped me so much, I know I say that a lot but it’s true. And yes deciding to stop eating foods that make you feel like shit is so smart! The scale is going down and it’s because I am weighing my food and staying in a calorie deficit! YES!!
Great info per usual ‼️ it’s crazy that I was eating pasta and saying I may cut down or cut it out altogether bc it doesn’t make me feel well! I’m lactose intolerant and still eat ice cream with dairy, the kind without dairy, doesn’t taste that well.. You’re awesome, Eric 🤩
Here from your email! Great helpful information! Watermelon has been my savior! Whenever I need a sweet treat or something to munch on I grab my prepared portions from the fridge!
Hey Eric! Here from your email :)... so I just had a blizzard from dq Saturday after not having it for four months and I have to say... big mistake! I still feel the effects. So I think, I may just give those up
I have a lot of red food!!!! Carmel corn, and licorice are foods that once i start eating them, it is really hard for me to walk away. obviously, after over indulging in these foods, i feel like crap. Foods that always make me feel bloated and exhausted are pasta, and Naan ( i love Indian food, the Naan just kicks my ass)!!! Thanks for the awesome video.
My red food is pistachios. I just can’t have a handful. I gotta eat the whole huge bag. A few times my stomach got messed up for days because of that but as soon as stomach is feeing better again, i need pistachios. 🤦♀️ awesome video. I will make the list and hang it on my fridge so everytime i remember smth i will add it to the list right away. Thank you!
This is so true. I use to be addicted to pizza and I remember cutting it out for a month and now I have have one slice and I’m satisfied. I don’t even think about over doing it. Rice makes me feel bloated so I cut it out and I don’t miss it lol
I started making my own with naan bread, sauce, cheese, and beef kabobs (instead of Italian sausage). One serving is about 350 for an entire small pizza compared to a slice of Pizza Hut or something that I still feel sooo hungry with
One of my "red" foods is a bit of an unusual one.. flatbread wraps. I love having healthy chicken salad wraps, but sometimes I struggle with eating the whole packet of wraps afterwards. 😅 I've decided to stop buying them for now, just until I feel like I have more control.
