It was supposed to get a 10 year rerelease
Mark Webber is also wearing his costume at the last act of the movie
37:27 the fact that they had the props and instruments prove that this cast, movie, and book is insane 😂 .
"Why hasn't Brandon aged?"
Chris, you're not the one to be complaining about that. You look amazing.
right? the fact that hes only 2 years apart from brandon himself
he doest have a mirror in that huge house ?
Superman and Captain America arguing about who looks older. Classic.
I mean, a lot of his hair has fallen off.
It's a stunt double, the real Chris Evans is drinking some coffee backstage
I love that Ellen Wong brings the exact same energy to knives that she did in the film.
Yesssss she did
She is a secret MVP of Scott Pilgrim ❤
yes. it is perfect. actually if possible she out does it and makes it better
chris evans' eyebrow tension looks so expressive, it actually separates Chris Evans to Lucas Lee.
*like, wow.*
A shame Kieran Culking wasn't there. Wallace is an important and funny character in the series and Kieran played the character really well.
Ellen Wong may be the most underrated actress of all time.
Her enthusiasm is infectious.
i don't think she's underrated. she's had very consistent casting roles since scott pilgrim. horror movies, sci fi show, and that GLOW netflix show. i'm glad she was recognized for her raw talent that was displayed in this movie
Vincent Rayne but if you shout her name in a room how many people would know who you’re talking about 😞 i feel she deserves more notoriety
@@meohmyah well, she's mostly a canadian actress. not hollywood, so that would be why. one of the top female horror/thriller actresses that has played in more horror movies than any person i know is relatively unknown because she mostly does canadian movies and shows. (the young girl from Silent Hill). but they are well known in their own rights so i think they are fine where they are. it only takes one huge film like a marvel film (for chris evans) to get to that point where you were talking about and that could still happen at any time.
Agree 100%
Vincent Rayne i suppose so, not everyone becomes a household name
Brandon Routh is killing it lol hes saying everything in the same tone as the movie, even dressed the part. Dudes dedicated.
John Hancock well this is his second EW Table Read! he also did the Chuck one. he’s an OG at this. haha
I will honestly support him in anything he does. He's always as much of a fan as I am or even more than I am in everything I have seen him in. His excitement is infectious.
I would killed to see brie Larson do black sheep again but dam this is the best thing to come out of quarantine
It's pretty awesome, but it's hard to top Christopher Titus releasing his entire television series on his channel.
I've seen that movie like four or five times and I had no idea that was Brie Larson
I wish young neil was in the table read too I loved his lines
@@MrCoolfuzzy18 maybe in the theatrical release but brie Larson does indeed sing th song, universal released a music video of sorts a while back and ita undeniably her voice. Check it out its bomb 👌😁
@@MrCoolfuzzy18 alright bud
I love how Chris found the "evil eyebrows" again 😂 it was perfect
First Movie my wife and I saw on Our first date. This is literally our most quoted movie. Such a great cast.
I watched it on the movie theater with a girl I really wanted to be my GF. She didn't know about it and she loved it. Then I bought her the DVD and when I told her we should watch it again she dumped me hardcore.
I wished I was you right now

Major props to whoever had to edit this.
Too bad Kieran wasn't there. He was one of my favorites in the movie.
They didn’t want him gaying up the place
@@garfxeo4469 XD
@@garfxeo4469 This one deserves more likes.
It is a shame that not everyone was there, but Michael Bacall did a pretty good job filling in for him though. He was able to imitate Wallace's inflections and tone really well, even his voice was similar.
@@chubomikz7104 Yeah noticed too, his Wallace was great.
Kim and Knives literally reading it the *same tone* as in the movie. these ladies are amazing!
God I love Ellen Wong’s acting in this. She’s so funny!
You can definitely tell she gave it her all, love it!
She hasn’t changed haha
She gave the best and most consistent performance at this reunion.
She acted acted. Sounded the same as 10 years ago
Yeah Ellen was into it and you could tell. But so was Mae. Both of them were terrific.
The co-writer did a great job reading Wallace's lines. It sounded just like him at times.
Came here to say this. He legitimately sounded just like him.
It's remarkable watching Ellen physically transform into Knives
Same with Chris becoming Lucas. It's all in the eyebrows
Watching Aubrey Plaza start to break during her rant is one of the funniest things to come out of this entire series.
To this day, no idea how this movie didn't see more commercial success, but I think the love from the fans speaks for itself. This was so fun.
Totally agree! But I will say this...I told my 17 year old daughter she needs to see this movie and she just looked at me sideways and was like "no duh Dad, we all LOVE This movie!" So apparently it has found its way into teens today.
The main reason for the lack of commercial success was that the movie was really poorly advertised. And it really is a shame seeing how beloved it is today :(
@@nileeaston it's been a pretty prominent film reference in meme culture, that's how I found out about it when I was in high school
It's a cult hit, don't worry.
Didn't it release at the same time as a twilight sequel? That also hurt it
Chris evans character's costume is just raising the brows
Blaze it.
17:55 FORGET IT, SCOTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aubrey Plaza, ladies and gentlemen.
She's amazing lol
She is the best
chris is the most rich and famous out of all of them, and had such a small role in the film, yet came back and did this. he’s amazing.
He just wanted to hang with some people he probably hadn't seen in awhile.
Thats true, but he literally just turned on his computer camera and joined a zoom.
@@mikearchibald744 he can do it "all" day.
He’s good man no wonder he became captain America
He’s always said this was one of his favourite movies to film 😃
Oh god I love this cast, kinda bummed Kieran Culkin and Brie Larson aren't here but omg
Also major props to Brandon Routh for having his shirt
seriously the cast is so good i'm in love with mae whitman she's literally katara
Even the sweat bands
Wait what,really?
Oh wow,how cool.Didn't know that lol
This could’ve had 10x more views if they advertised it properly.
I mean it's consistent with how the movie was advertised. If anything it's perfectly on brand.
@@TheAwesomeMed cruel but fair
Same goes for the movie
Yeah I didn't even know it happened until it showed up in my youtube recommendations today!
Also if it wasn’t in the mid-afternoon on a Monday. I was at work and couldn’t watch even if I wanted to.
i forgot how many big stars actually played in this movie wow
They’re even missing Brie Larson from this, since she played Scott’s ex Envy Adams in the movie.
@@Phanthief95 Brie also sang the song the band played in the film, and did an amazing job.
@kosa wha same!! i had to rewatch it haha
@@Phanthief95 yes!! she was incredible!
@@Phanthief95 bries so stuck up doubt she would be here
I love how you can tell the cast LOVES this project so much. They're some BIG actors in this movie that bombed at the box office, but yet they're so committed, like Chris Evans, Jason Schwartzman, Anna Kendrick, you can tell everyone loves this movie
Not gonna lie, it’s hard to watch because it makes me want to immediately go watch the movie again.
I know right! I absolutely love this movie, it's unfortunate that this group chat is probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a sequel lol.
It’s on Netflix
same.
Same, I'm probably going to reread the comic too =)
Will you believe I actually watched both side by side? I started at 2am and it's almost 6am now. No regrets.
AUBREY PLAZA GIVES ME LIFE. SHES SO GOD DAMN FUNNY WITHOUT EVEN TRYING. AND THE BEST PART IS SHES NOT EVEN ACTING SHES JUST BEING HERSELF.
All I’m saying is that I feel bad for any girl I may be dating if I ever meet Aubrey. I’m shooting my shot with everything I’ve got.
She's a dream
dating her was a pleasant dream😀
My neighbors must have been shooked by some animal howling from my flat. Aubrey is to blame. She's unreal hahaha

The guy that is saying Wallace’s lines literally sounds like Kieran
Right
he does lol
If you were listening to just the audio, I don’t anyone would honestly be able to differentiate.
He wrote the lines so...
the guy doing Wallace´s part sounds so much like Kieran Culkin in the movie
My thoughts exactly
Yes!!
I was so impressed by him. I love all of Wallace's lines in the movie & this guy nailed it.
True! He did co-write the film so I'm sure he knew how they wanted the line delivered.
Anna mimicking Brie's breathy character voice is everything.
