I really love how Wallace's "best moments" is literally every moment he's in the movie, simply because he's the best character.
You guess right
We needed a Wallace Wells spinoff

@@someone-cz9fcyes. Great idea
@@someone-cz9fcWallace wells vs his straight crush
The fact that Wallace made Stacy's boyfriend gay and she goes "Wallace, again?!!"
Wait...he did that before?!!
Probably bi
I think the more important question is, if it's happened before why does she keep bringing her boyfriends around him?
Wallace didn't "make" Stacy's bf gay, he just helped him discover himself.
@@netherfreakultima4498 I think in the comic she had another boyfriend named Scott and he made him gay too
I love how they make Canadians and Americans seem like they live on separate planets
You mean we don't?
I thought we did
@@therixelpixel Me too.
In what way?
It would especially be true if it took place in Quebec instead of Ontario. Different languages
I really love how Wallace knows Scott is a terrible person and tries to warn Knives but is also kind of a good friend to him and tries to be his wingman with Ramona and fighting the exes.
He is a lot more involved in Scott's life in the comics. I recommend them if you haven't read them
@@Nemo.404 It's okay, I read them years ago after seeing the trailer before the movie came out.
@Scott Alleman This is the most hilarious comment I've ever read. Pretentious comic book readers will never not be funny. Your comment was a little too on the nose with protraying the delusion and absurdity, though. I suggest you make the gate-keeping even more arbitrary otherwise people might think this is your actual personality!
@@mchjsosde Fr, No matter how much they try to sound smart they just end up sounding dumb for instantly having an “I rEaD cOmIc BoOk, I aM HoliEr ThAn ThOu.” Attitude in response to a simple “what if” scenario to a stranger. We all need a Wallace in our lives. A dude who who will remind you of the jackass you are, push you in the right direction time and again, and support you in times of need.

@@blazehaze233 this is the succession epilogue
he plays apathy perfectly
same goes to michael cera it’s funny
so like, gay and mean? what else has he starred in? for research purposes
Probably the best part of his character is that he’s Scott’s nicest friend, and Scott’s rudest friend. This guy is amazing.
It's because he's Scott's only honest friend that also genuinely cares about his well-being 😂
He only seems rude because Scott wears down his patience and he’s done with his nonsense lol. He’s a good guy at heart and he shows it in his actions better than
@@cybremystica93so brothers
@@AdriaCuriosoKim is also honest, she just grew tired of Scott's bs years ago.
@@AdriaCuriosoI agree
6:07 the way he tilts his head and moves his arm to hide Scott reaching for his coat shows what a true friend he is.
I never noticed that, the details in this movie are insane
And Scott still comes in the field of vision anyway.
It shows how good a friend he is and how considerate of Knives he is. She really is too good for him
The whole sequence is him trying to hide Scott but failing and every one of Wallace's gestures guides the camera, which is acting as Knives' focus, towards Scott perfectly.
@@mr.hooligan7630 this isn't Knives' POV though
All the acting in this movie was top notch but Kieran definitely stole every scene he was in.
I’m convinced that Wallace got such good writing in the anime series because of his fanbase
1:55 I think I remember hearing that Kieran wasn't supposed to hit Micheal with the keys but somehow hit him right on the back of the head
Nah outtakes have him getting hit with the keys too
I heard it wasn't originally in the script but it happened once on accident and Edgar Wright loved it so much they did a bunch of takes to recreate it. So it started as an accident but the take they used was on purpose. Still amazing. 😂
@@broisyougobblinglmao in one of the bloopers Michael forgot his line after the key toss and Kieran just goes “Ha! You took a blow to the head for nothin!”
"Guess who's drunk!"
He sounds sooo proud about it, even if it's pretend to be funny, it's also kinda cute

Can't believe y'all didn't use the "God, I want his adopted babies." That's the best Wallace line.
Man, Edgar Wright's style film making is perfect for this adaptation, some of the jokes landing pretty hard from the editing alone
You gotta love Edgar Wright, he’s awesome.
He's just about the only director who can pull that off to, when others try it just never comes out the same
ikr? the best live action adaptation of any comic book imo
I feel like this dude deserves to direct at least one Spider-man movie I think he'd kill it
I recommend a wonderful video essay by Every Frame a Painting.

The "He just left" scene is one of my favorites of all time. It's 10 seconds of pure comedy gold. And I felt so bad for Knives my first time watching it, I had to pause the movie and steel myself for the rest of it.

Why does "Hey, we don't use the 'E word' in this house" have such the biggest best bro vibe ever?
When he said that it made me laugh so hard
"Is Scott Here?"
"know What"....
"He Just Left" LOL GOLD 🏆
I love that Wallace says this at 1:33, he’s a good friend
One time in English class, my teacher said something about the E-word (I don’t remember what she was talking about) and I said “You mean ‘Envy?’” And I was reference that scene
“No we don’t use the E word in this house”😂
Yeah, everyone's better than Scott and I love seeing Wallace exploit it.
I appreciate that Wallace is a total bro when Scott needs him
I appreciate it too
When I was watching this I was always wondering why Kieran looks like Macaulay Culkin and they have the same last name. So then I googled it, woah they are indeed brothers!

God I wish Wallace had more screen time. He's such a good character
I always love how Stacey has a smile on her face when she confronts Scott about Knives showing that she only likes the drama rather than actually trying to convince Scott its a bad thing.
No wonder he was casted for Roman Roy. He’s perfect.
6:01 - 6:04 Wallace's voice changed because he knows he will be the one to foot the bill.
1:05 Lol, didn't notice it before but as Wallace waves his hand, there is a sound of car driving by :D
Edgar Wright loves sound design like that and it’s obviously all over this film :)
The irony of when wallace says "Even I would think twice about dating a 17 year old" And then immediately wants to know who in Knives' class is gay, being the same age is Knives. Comedy genius
I mean he said he’d think twice, not that he wouldn’t do it.
he's the best
"Forget what i said earlier. Finish him." is my favorite line of all time.
Wallaces best moments is essentially just every second he’s on screen
6:00 the best part of the move imo love it so much
Yes
i love how wallace always gossips to stacey first about scott
The visual comedy of this movie is pure gold
“Wait who told you?”
“Wallace, Duh.”

Wallace is the epitome of a great friend but better person. Helps him out and loves him unconditionally but does not let injustices by Scott go unfettered

Kieran mculkin goes hard in whatever role he does. After watching this movie AND succession I realize that
I like how wallace face is like he dont sleep in years
Young Kieran Culkin would have been the perfect choice for a live action Levi Akerman
Not perfect but close enough to not be disappointed. Definitely a better choice than the predictable overtly serious face asian guy in the japanese live action.
?
@@Ami-ws1rs he's not asian. Just because it's anime doesn't mean all the characters therein are Japanese. Levi is an Israeli name and Ackerman is a common jewish surname. Meaning Levi is most likely middle eastern in ethnicity.
In fact, IIRC, it's a plot point that Mikasa was one of the few asians left and that's why she was kidnapped as a child, when Eren rescued and his family adopted her.

Baby Roman
Never knew Wallace's Actor real name. The fact he's a Culkin makes me love this movie more
The fact that Kieran's sister died just before they started filming and he made the executive decision to continue with the job is so remarkable. When my mum died i was a wreck for like a year
Oh man, I had no clue that happened.... Hope he's doing ok
This is the best cut of this film ever.
The window jump scene gets me everytime
I just noticed that Scott rated Wallace with a 7.5 out of 10??! He at least deserves a 9

My favourite bit:

“You what, he just left” 😂
Kieran made his own name with this role he did so well
1:14 Wallace says something Scott only realizes by the end of the movie
I like how Anna plays the younger sister when in fact she is 3 years older than Cera
You should see Karate Kid 3 😂
The main character is supposed to be a teenager (whereas is reality he was in his mid twenties) and the villian is supposed to be at least 20 years older, when he's actually younger than the MC.
I'm fuckin dead I thought that was toby Maguire 💀
