Thank you so much for this tutorial and making it in english. I'm watching for my r15v3 bike from malaysia, I rely heavily on videos from india but most of them are in hindi, so i can't understand. My fzs was making nose. Then i replaced tensioner. The noise was shut until i removed and fixed back again when I noticed and sealed oil leakage. The tensioner is brand new and it is making nose again
That sounds strange. Change the oil seal and fix it back. Reset the tensioner and check if it resolves your issue.
what is the use while we adjusting the timing chain
Use is reduction of timing chain noise. If this does not work, better to replace the tensioner kit.

Both the indicators light of my bike are not working properly. And when running for some distance my bike is facing difficulty in self start after stoppage and in traffic junctions. What will be reasons? I have already changed my air filter and oil filters and refilled new engine oil and also cleaned up the spark plugs but I'm still having the same issue.
Indicator not working is wiring fault. Check the indicator lines.
Battery discharge talks about either Stator coil issue or Regulated Rectifier unit.
First replace the RR unit and see if it gets better. If not, look for the Stator coil.
Battery is the first thing you should check.

I am trying to tighten this screw but screw behaving like spring and it feels like screw coming back anti clockwise when I rotate it clockwise.

Clockwise to reset it. At a point it locks, a slight turn anti clockwise resets it. You can hear a tick noise when it resets.

Sangeeth S If it's the chain sound, it will help. If it's tappet noise, then you have to get the tappet adjusted.

Hey since you seem to have knowledge on fzs .I wanted to know what is the reason behind knocking sound when the engine is idling. It's like knock knock knock knock it fluctuates but when I pull the clutch it goes away.is it the tappets,valves or timing chain I have clocked 40k on the odo. Do I need to replace any parts
That's is something called the clutch 'chudder' or the free play of the clutch bell. Replacing the clutch bell / hub fixes the issue. Other than just noise, it doesn't damage anything.
@@MototechWanderer heard this for the first time,Thañkyou bro.and this doesn't happen every time I start the bike sometimes it does.and it is kind of irritating coz Yamaha machines are refined and you don't expect it to make that type of noises.and yes there is another problem while starting it feels like the machine is struggling to fire and is finding hard to get air.it hasn't been much since it's behaving that way.the same thing you mentioned is responsible for that??I have to give it like 4 to 6 try and it does start but at times I have to pull the throttle then only it starts.enlighten me bro.☀

Is it necessary to put rubber back to it. Air comes out when bike is turned on. I have lost my rubber of gixxer during washing. What might happen if not inserted back???
COMEDY WATCH water/dust can enter the engine and destroy your engine. Better to seal that area with the rubber cap, else coat it with anabond 666T sealant maker.

@@Masuood if it's not too extreme, no issues. If it's extreme and not going even after resetting the timing chain tensioner, you might have to replace both the timing chain and the tensioner.

Check the bracket for cracks. Fz V2 headlamp doesn't shake unless damaged.

Check Service center if u can find that rubber cap. Else clean the area and seal it with silicon .

Bro, while I’m decelerating a low pop up sound is coming from the exhaust pipe rapidly. I’ve consulted some mechanics but one said it is the failure of carb, the other one said that is was the problem in engine’s head (also said there might be the failure of reed valves in it), and the other mechanic said it is a dumb idea to remove the head it may effects the engine’s sound and the mileage also decreses rapidly and also said that it was the problem in exhaust pipe there might some break at connections so it was sucking more air
And Now I’m in a dilemma. Can you please respond on this issue.
Change your Spark Plug and air filter.
After that tune the carb properly. Your issue will be resolved.
I’ve changed both airfilter, spark plug and its cap too but didn’t resolved !
@@manivanga6239 is the choke cable stuck ? See if the choke is all time on due to rusting. Also check if TPS plug is connected properly or not.

Yamaha Fazer I have done resets many times .. but it doesn't improve.. mainly this sound arrives when engine is hot running and with a pillon rider ..

Gokul Murugan Yes, maybe something didn't add up perfectly. I test rode the Thunderbird 500 after having the FZS for a while and with so much power and torque, even my FZS feels heavier and slower.

Bro ,meri fzs mein timing tensioner se halka sa oil leak ho raha ,Maine tensioner ki gasket bhi check ki sahi hai .Matlab jab me allenkey wale screw tight karta hun to wo nut halka sa slip hota but tight to hota hai aur toda tight karne se slip hota. Matlab puri Tarah se tight nahi ho raha ,Maine service center walo ko bhi dikai lekin wo response nahi de rahe?

@@jm_jisham7356 under 80k kms, nothing much will happen. Beyond that it might snap. But chances of catastrophic failure of timing chain is very less as it's always lubed by engine oil.

That part should be available to be ordered from Yamaha. Meanwhile you can seal the hole using some silicon or Anabond 666T.
i asked at the service center but it was not available .can i use m seal to fix it ?

Tappet noise will always be there. Don't try to fidget with it too much. It's how these engines are designed.

@@wanderingnawaab mostly it's a timing Chain or tensioner issue. Try the resetting thing, if it doesn't resolve, replace tensioner. Also loose valve clearance or 'tappet' can cause clicking noise.
Yamaha engines have clicking noise in general, it it's not too much, just let it be.
1 month back i changed my tensioner also but now same noise is coming in few weeks only what should i do bro?

Get a good mechanic and get it sorted. If smoke is white, bore is gone. If smoke is black, it's a carburettor issue.

@@vigneshm1193 bore kit cost is 3500-4000 INR. Some lathe work in the head + labour charges... Total should be 8-10k total.
Go for brand new bore and after the job is done, the white smoke will be there are oil gets deposited in the exhaust ... With usage that will also vanish.

Brother, my Yamaha SZ are just 1 month old, I'm facing a problem of being noisy, and abnormal vibration in handle . At 1sr ride are smooth running engine and after 10 to 20 mins the smoothness are suddenly turn to bad sound and vibration. I really feel crack vibration in throttle grip. And it came from carb . Can u answer my problem pl, tnx in advance
As the sound is coming after engine heats up, I would suggest you to check your oil condition once. Also possible that the engine is not getting sufficient air to cool itself, make sure you havent blocked the engine with anything that restricts air flow to the engine.
Also check tappet adjustment (Will be making a DIY video in future) or get it done by a mechanic.
I'm also facing the same problem. Bike is very smooth when engine is cool. After engine gets hot it starts vibrate and giving bad grinding sound. Checked oil. oil is good. I'm using Motul 5100. The problem is in engine.
Hey, After 3 years of riding the bike i fixed the issue now. I faced the same problem like you. The grinding noise and the vibration comes from the Crankshaft bearings, connecting rod and bearing. I changed it. Now engine sound is like a new engine. No vibration. No sound change even after when engine get heated.
Any permanent solution to this bro?Because i have to do this after every 15-20 days as the noise starts again after 15-20 days

It can be the problem ith your air / fuel mixture. Try getting the carburetor tuned properly. If that does not work, replace the air filter and spark plug too.

shiva varma I seriously doubt if the reason for drop of fuel efficiency is resetting the timing chain tension.
Check other things like your air filter, spark plugs, tire pressure and chain condition.

Buy it from Yamaha. For temporary fix, use a sealant like Anabond 666T to avoid oil loss.
