- YAMAHA FZ v2.0/Fazer - This video shows a detailed illustration of exhaust painting using High Temperature primer & paint. Make sure to only use Hi-Temp paint on exhaust as normal paint will easily erode away under extreme heat.
Also we clean the oxygen sensor by simple sanding and spraying WD40 and dipping into petrol (gasoline). Please follow the video for details of the process. Make sure you do not damage the O2 Sensor by any means.

So far it's holding fine. And yes it can be sprayed on engine too.
You're welcome. I managed to finish it with one can of both. The 3M silencer coat comes in a smaller can, so get two of them safe side.

Thank you for the well explained silencer coating techniques. I have questions, The primer and the paint need to be run engine asper the specification after paint on it?
Where you bought this new nut bolt on the silencer?
No need of running engine during the painting process. You can just use natural sunlight for drying process.
But bolt are all company ones, just cleaned them and sanded them to make them like brand new.

what is the metalic box in the center of exhaust
It's a underbelly exhaust, basically a muffler which gives that bassy exhaust note.
Fz v2 Rpm control valve screw broken. How to fix that
If you can order it at the dealership well and good. Else, you might need a throttle body replacement.
I painted normal Berger metal paint .it take 2 days to dry🙄. After 2 days i started my fz and paint on silencer start melting and smoke full .. after riding 10km stopped smelling and smoke as well as attached well to the silencer ❤️.. better use anti rust silencer spary paint if u dont have patience 👍
The high temperature paint that used did not smoke or melt. It's built for this kind of high temperature application.

It's still fine. The only way you can damage the paint is if it's exposed to petrol. Else it will be fine. The only reason why it's not as strong as company paint is becoz these paint cans do not have harderner in them.

Will the exhaust paint lasts for a long time?
It will unless you pour petrol / gasoline on it. These paints react to Petrol. Other than that, quite high quality and long lasting.

Let's the water formed inside the exhaust due to condensation to pass avoiding internal rusting.

Good work indeed but I would love to see improvement on the details..you cant just paint the exhaust and leave other parts rusty such as your knee guard...please restore every visible parts to mint condition...it will be something great to watch.
I have replaced the crash bars to a new one as the old one was damaged. And now the bike is restored to a brand new one. Just needs a rear tyre replacement as it has a flat spot due to the chain break accident and a proper wash and detailing. Will post a video on it soon.

Primer helps in better bonding and also gives a better finish. It's fine to skip it.
