Both good cases, however, there's a significant price difference between them. H7 Flow seems to be the best bang for the buck between the two and temps will be more than fine. Swap those fans with an Arctic P14 PWM kit and you'll get even better results and still pay less than what the 5000D costs.
Montech Air 903 is a little bit cheaper than the NZXT H7 Flow, with similar airflow, and fan support
I see the 5000d for 134 and the H7 for 129 on newegg. I don't really see that as a significant price difference. The 5000d is just better for the money.
@@SMGeezusthe 5000d for 134 is not the version you see here in this vid this is the more expensive rbg version that comes with more fans
@@MirrorBlood still. Rgb fans are cheap enough that I'd still rather buy the cheaper 5000d and supply my own fans
I got the H7 for my build because it’d been many many years since i built pc. Their ecosystem of parts made it easy for me to jump back in. Now i’m feel more confident to branch out. I really like that corsair case with all of its options. Nice to see manufacturers stepping outside of the box like that.
I've had the Corsair 5000D for 2 months now and I have no complaints about it.
Excellent
I currently have the 5000D and it is a good case, it has a lot of space and the truth is that it is very easy to clean it and put as many fans as you want, but the only reason I ended up opting for Corsair and not for the H7 Flow from NZXT is for the pwm adapter, although my board has connectors for the pwm it only has 3 and instead I have 6 ml elite fans so it was crucial for me. I just have to add that the only awkward thing about the 5000D is the part where I put the 24-pin cable and the sata since you have to remove that side cover to better manage that cable ... it is somewhat tedious to unscrew the fan cover and then sscar just finished the end cap for that, something that I see in the h7 flow as more practical and simple in cable management, for the rest, excellent cabinet, good construction materials and better air flow, in Peru I bought it for 186 dollars in Compared to the 200 dollars that I was going to pay for nzxt that I had to import it paying taxes included, it came out a little more. Good video 👌.
I would love to see a comparison between the 5000D and the H9 flow
Thank you for the excellent in depth video about these cases I'm highly sold on the 5000D for my next build.
Glad to help. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
I recently built a PC in the Corsair 5000D RGB (using your video as a guide because my case didn't come with a manual!) It's a great looking case with lots of airflow, but there are some cons. I found the extra back door wasn't really necessary as I couldn't close it anyhow due to all the cable and hub clutter. Case manufacturers could stand to make the cases a little wider to accommodate cables. Because there were fan and RGB hubs pre-mounted, there wasn't a good place to put the iCUE Commander Core that came with the AIO I got. (I wanted my SSDs in the back of the case.) It would also be nice to be able to move the top AIO radiator more toward the front side panel to allow more clearance for the CPU power cables. I wasn't able to put all three AIO fans inside the case because of the CPU 8-pin connectors being in the way, so it's good that you can mount the top fans outside the case.
Good video. I would appreciate if you put one next to another to compare sizes. Cheers.
👍Firstly, thanks for the excellent video; I'm on the fence with these two cases, but, especially after watching this video, I've decided to go with the H7 as it has everything I'm looking for and is half the price of the 5K, too. Plus, I can't seem to find a non-RGB version of it, either, and I utterly detest RGB for the most part (unless tastefully and sparingly done). I think illumination of that kind should stay where it belongs... in Blackpool! 😆
Secondly, and possibly most importantly, I have to thank you for pronouncing it as N *_ZED_* XT! The amount of YooToobers I hear from this side of the pond saying it in the Septic way is nuts, and it _really_ grates. 😬😄
I say N Zed XT just to wind up the Americans. But they rarely say anything about it 😂😂
I have RGB too, just for bathtub too
i broke the glass on my 5000d airflow, and corsair doesnt ship in my country, the stores here sell the panel for half the price of the case.. guess ill be buying the h7
my 5000d is only 2 months old, I guess rent can wait this month
Was that really Corsair's answer?
Does the NZXT H7 have a dust filter under the front mesh panel? Great video thanks !
Yes it has a front removable dust filter.
Corsair 5000 vs lancool 216? 👀
Corsair 5000D looks more premium with dust filters from all sides
Love my 4000X case but i hate the Corsair RGB software. I might have gone with another company if i knew how bad it was
Really? People complain about software from every company if it helps
Just use SignalRGB. Works a treat with my NZXT H7 Flow RGB fans, Corsair H100x Elite, and GSkill Trident Z RGB RAM.
How goof the airflow is in 5000x compared to 5000d , h7 flow and o11 evo
Along with these 2 cases, I really like lian li lancool iii. This is so confusing now. Any suggestions would be good.

Guys, Is there any differences between H7 Flow RGB and H7 Flow except fans?
RGB gets 4 RGB fans and an RGB controller. Flow gets two non-RGB fans only. Nothing else different. If you want RGB on your build you are better off buying the flow case and then swapping in your own fans in my opinion.
@@dena8473 Thanks for the answer. I will probably get regular H7 Flow, don't need RGB. Could you recommend me 120mm and 140mm NonRGB fans which are silent and have good cooling performance?
An Asus ROG STRIX rtx 4090 fits in one of the cases ????
Have a 4090 Strix in the 5000D with space to spare.
Do I have to connect the 5v to the mobo or could I just use the nzxt rgb controller
Howd you get the temps and gif to work at the same time om the kraken?
Except this is not mid-tower. Those used to be ATX (305mm) + PSU(85mm), that's about 390..420mm high case. Corsair is 520mm high. That's a large tower.
Corsair labels it a mid-tower, so you'll have to tell them they're wrong.
@@TheProvokedPrawn They want to sell you more, which in this case is bigger. Sizes have drifted slowly since 90's. I'm just calling bs when I see some. It's a large case.
It's not mini, not mid either.
@@vensroofcat6415bro just don’t buy it simple
@@JDoloo-ud6sw well they are pushing cases able to fit 10+ stupid "3 for 100$ during sale" fans and some of the most expensive AIOs too.
Corsair 3x the price of Arctic or Thermaltake. And you need huge cases to fit 3 of them. So they bloated up what's needed.
There is nothing wrong with a CPU having 65°C or even 80°. I hope since the current gen AMD release everyone has learned that finally? It's ok by design.
You don't reduce heat by adding more fans. You just redistribute it differently.
@@vensroofcat6415 I get what you saying equal airflow pressure
Hello, sorry, I have a doubt since I don't know how to read or listen in English, I would like to know which was better in the end, I'm undecided between The h7 flow and Icue corsair 5000D, I would like to know which is better quality, the price doesn't matterWhich one do you recommend? Use the translator, sorry
He liked the Corsair 5000D more because of the flexibility and more build options it provides. However the NZXT H7 is easier to build in because it is a simpler case. Both cases are good.
H7 flow provide E-atx, but 5000 does not provide it.
Hi, will i have to remove the HDD cage if I install a 360 rad in the front of the NZXT (so it'll be similar to your setup here except that my rad is 360)?
Its driveing me nuts, everywhere i look the new 5000d in white comes with a fogged glass side panel, is the glass panel you are useing here the one thta it comes with? and with only a handfull of cases supporting mondern frontpanel IO is doesnt help. also the spaceing between a top rad and the CPU power connectors on the top right for the 5000d. how is the spaceing there??
Hello! I want to install a 140mm fan on the rear of corsair5000d and i dont know how...it fits but the holes are for 120mm...what can i do? Drill new holes ?
The 5000d only fits a 120mm fan in the back. Yeah you would have to drill if you really want a 140 there.
@@bashfullJ88 drilling was easy ,i put a 140 and a 60 under gpu
nice ty
I went back to black cases for my builds after 2 white cases and not going back lol
What was your reason? I'm debating between black and white and leaning towards black, but I've never had a white case before and am curious.
@CicaNails my reason is that most of my components are black so it will blend in better than black on white.
Is the back fan 140mm?
On the H7 Flow RGB, Yes.
@@TheProvokedPrawn looks like the holes for a 140mm with a 120 in its spot
the best is Lian Li Lancool 3
Looks like the nzxt could be more inspired design wise. That’s a bit too derivative imo.
Wait the h7 flow comes with 4 fans? I got ripped off I only got 2 with the case
No, this is the H7 Flow RGB. It's a different model.
H7.
The rad on the NZXT case is a classic fail that GamersNexus talked about years ago. The pump is above the tubes on the rad. You should rotate the radiator to have the pump under the rad inlet to avoid air bubbles getting into the pump head.
No. You misunderstood the video. The pump can't be the highest point so bubbles don't get trapped in it. But it's not the highest point. The top of the rad is...
@@TheProvokedPrawn Always nice to see someone that understands that! So many "builders" parrot the old wives tale.
The best of those two is the Lian Li Lancool 3.
ofc... i own that case and nothing comes close to its airflow perfomance
@@Bazo712 I doubt it.
but i prefer the look of the H7 or the 5000D over the Lancool 3
