Greek and Arabic food are very similar and have similar influences, same as the music and even their mannerisms are so similar. I live in malaysia and everyone thinks I’m an Arab here and when I cook Greek food they think it’s Arabic. Very similar in so many ways

I made this tonight and it was delicious and very easy. I made the regular version for my family and used walnuts instead of rice to make a keto version for me. Theirs had a thinker sauce from the rice but mine was still delicious. Thank you for all the great recipes, Akis!

Made this for my mom and I today! SO GOOD! Didn’t know all those herbs could go together so well! The only risotto I had was a premixed vegetable risotto pack, but it still worked. UA-cam is so funny. The autogenerated captions reads out Akis as “a kiss”.
This is my next recipe. My mom used to make with avgolemono. I’m going to try with yogurt sauce/soup. Today in Chicago it is -17C. FREEZING COLD. So I made Akis’ Greek onion soup to keep warm. Delicious, warming, out of this world delightful. ❤️

Akis uses tempering to prevent separating - he first mixes yogurt with a little bit of hot stock and only then pours it back into the pot. This is a common technique for yogurt-based soups (which are common) in Middle East cuisine.
Hello Akis Thank you for your quick answer. I don't live in Thailand. It was the name of glutinous rice which make me think about a sticky rice used in Asia. But in your recipts I think you mean rice like arborio rice used to make risotto. I read some more recipts from you and I saw that you use also glutinous rice in Greek rice pudding. In Europe to make this recipt we use a rond rice a little bit sticky like arborio. Thank you for all your recepits and video, It is great. Tomroww I will try Soutzoukakia.
