Such a amazing little compact bender. The only mod i would consider for myself is a 90 degree base mount to stick it in my vise, so the bender is horizontal. Its more so i could look down at it vs crouching down as my vise is at about 40 inch off the floor.
the moment I saw this pop up as available to order I snagged it up , got all my hardware and 3d printed parts sorted just waiting for send cut send to get the parts out to me. something ive always wanted to do is learn how to braze and make my own bumpers and cages so I am pumped to check this thing out, thank you sir!
FYI when making brake lines there is no flares or nuts you add them after you make your bends but I agree you can’t get a tight bend with a brake line bender
Just an idea… the red 3D printed jig you were showing could perhaps be changed to have a mark on both sides of the jig to help “pin point” the radius start point and 3D print the degree of angle on the side as well to help in these steps to make it easier
The problem is trying to order an Oakenshield (or whatever the new name is) now.... if you even can. My Oakenshield is now used strictly for 1/4" tube... nice to have one set up for each diameter tube I use
My SCS parts should ship out on Monday. Printed up the rest of the parts out of Bambu PLA-CF 85% infill. Can't wait to get start bending tubes. Thanks Josh
I don’t really need another bender but I kinda just want to see if I’d like this better than my Oakenshield. And for the money it’ll be a fun little project!
That is fire thank you Harley. I have one quick question would it be possible for send cut send to make a custom front leaf spring mount for custom after market chassis been trying to look for front spring mount but no luck pls point me in the right directions thank you.
Hello Josh! I purchased your bender and built it, I didn't see the angle gauge pieces on your site with the rest of the 3d printed parts or your thingiverse page. Can you perhaps drop a link to them? I'd really like to add that to the bender. Great work, by the way, I love it!
For solid rod, I use a rod bender. There is no reason to use this type of bender for that. I use the BAC Industries Might Rod Bender. It’s cheaper and available on Amazon.
Is there any possibility of getting the 3d printed parts machined by send cut send? I am not a big fan of 3d printed parts now that shapeways went under
Just ordered the send cut send parts and printing the other parts this week. Looking forward to checking it out. Thanks Josh!!

Like this idea! Josh, get cracking!
Thanks for designing this and posting the parts list on Send Cut Send. The bender went together great, thank you sir!
Really cool to see your engineering on this. I do expect the air over hydraulic attachment by Christmas though..
Hell yea brother 🎉🎉 came out top notch. Just got mine together. Just wanna thank you for all that you do to help all of us out.
The one with the angle finder is awesome! My one suggestion would be to lengthen the aluminum so it runs the length of the handle. Keep 'em coming!!!
The addition of the digital angle finder is an inspired touch!
👌🔥🇺🇸
Order this up now :) Then I gotta sort out a good blow torch, since no room for a welder.

I was with you, right up until about the 21:30 mark😅
Seriously, I'm super stoked to try this one out
Bender works great Josh, thank you for making this!
Any plans to do a 1/4 and 5/16 version?
I was curious about a 1/4 version or adaptation as well
SCS scheduled to arrive on the 14th. I’ve downloaded the printer files. Looks like a build is in my future. Thanks!
Have the oakenshield and it works fine but had to check this out! Nicely done Josh

@@dennisreilley5272 that's the way to do it. The availability of this in is a huge plus 👌
This is RAD! Literally like a full size JD Squared model 32. Definitely gonna build one thanks Josh.
The angle finder addition is cool. SCS parts are shipping soon. 🤟

My SCS parts ship tomorrow. Thanks for making this available and affordable.
Ordered the send cut send and your 3D print files! I’m so excited to start fabricating!🎉
can't wait to get my budget in order and buy this, thanks!
Very nice tool, glad to see that kind of precision, great job
I don’t really need another bender but I kinda just want to see if I’d like this better than my Oakenshield. And for the money it’ll be a fun little project!
Nicely designed compact bender. Thanks Josh.
Just ordered mine from SCS and all my Jimmy’s build parts as well!
Great work Josh and what a creative mind. My Send cut Send parts are on their way. Thanks
McFarland Fab, inspiring confidence!
Could you build a time machine next and hand these out 20 years ago please. Awesome work!
Great project and video. I have used SCS for my projects with success.
I’ve been excitedly waiting for this! Time to start building some chassis’s!! Nice shirt btw 😅
Great how too video man appreciate the time you took to explain it all. Good teaching 🤙
Very nice work man. It's really cool seeing you getting into designing your own product.
I'll for sure pick one of these up.
Great work.
Excellent video and real nice bender 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘
Solid work!!👍🤙
🏁Winner!!! Great looking Bender Josh!
Very cool Josh!! Hoping it would be an option to purchase already built being from Canada it's shipping time and price are ridiculous
Interested in the digital Thanks
Thank you needed this
I laughed so hard when I saw your comment about roundabouts.... 🤣🤣🤣

Cool tool.
What did you use to weld your cage together?
U da man!
Bravo 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Chef! Shoosh!
Can this bend tubing with threaded rod in the stainless tubing? Wondering if it will be strong enough. Thank you

I’m still working on getting that more solid. I hope to have it released soon.
Shame that sendcutsend won't send to UK 😢
When are you going to release the tube notched?
I need to design a less over complicated one.
What about solid rod? Any input on 3/16 solid rod instead? Mainly because that's what I like and can get locally.
For solid rod, I use a rod bender. There is no reason to use this type of bender for that. I use the BAC Industries Might Rod Bender. It’s cheaper and available on Amazon.

Roundabouts!?!?! LOL
The poor people in Europe, how do we attain this masterpiece? Can we buy the dxfs and use a local supplier?
Have you ever tried Aardvark hot sauce? I bought it just like, because, but it's actually pretty good. (I'm aardvark spleen)
I’ve never heard of it, where is it from? Any sweetness to it? I love a hot and sweet sauce.
I'm guessing the HD stands for heavy-duty. 😂
Why does josh get raw wheels and we don’t😂
“Testing” reasons 😁
I'm not buying anything until after ripper 2 pre-order...
well...all in total is 50 bucks...nice gimmick but I`ll pass.😎
Gimmick? It’s a legit, well designed tubing bender. And it’s priced extremely well. Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.
@@NickP_830well you use it several times and then we speak again😉 until then I'll stick with my 15$ harbour freight bender👍
@@themountain59 lol. Ok. Good luck, man. Just have fun building stuff.
