    I owned 3 yeswelder and the last recent one I bought has the button to turn on while using Tig. Hands down, good as* machine. I tried the 120v miller Tig and I felt that the yeswelder is up there with the miller. But I do independently run a 20amp breaker for the 120v yeswelder.

    Very cool. I’ve always been curious to learn how to rig welding for custom RC but was always put off by the expense of buying the equipment. This is at a much more affordable price point that I might finally jump in. I’m going to wait to see the series you are going to start to make sure I’m comfortable and confident enough that I can do it. Thanks for the continued educational content you provide.

    Great Video. I like seeing the settings for smaller scale. I use a HF 205 and it does well. Not as inexpensive as this. Tig burns a lot of gas with pre flow and post flow. I have upgraded my bottle twice. I wish I would have just gone big in the beginning...

    Interesting to watch . It’s faster to start than brazing with gas but I am not convinced it’s something I need just yet as I am still learning brazing. I am interested to watch the next build when you have had a chance to familiarise yourself with the new unit. Probably a bit unfair to judge to much on the first two joints? Out of curiosity in the next video can you give a comparison in cost between those rods and the silver brazing rods. Stay safe.

    Do you braze all of the chassis for the RC cars? If so why not just TIG welding instead of brazing two different kind of fuses. I personally have a Primeweld Tig 225x w/Maxcool watercooler CK worldwide wp20 torch. I do a lot of different things with tig welding and like to challenge myself titanium was the most challenging thing to do making turbo tubes for people the patience needed is crucial.

  • @bazzani21

    Have you tried to actually tig weld that tubing? My boss is a great welder and he's trying to convince me to just tig the cage

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  4 місяці тому +3

      Yes I have done the traditional TIG welding method with standard TIG filler many times. It's the only method I used up until 2018-19 I believe. But after I started TIG brazing instead, I have found absolutely zero reason to go back to that. If there was any benefit to using the standard filler instead of silicon bronze, then I'd go back. The strength of the joints is a non-issue and that's the only area where it could offer a better result.

    I bought a yes welder 4 in 1 and it sat for a couple of years during covid. It had never been used when i purchased it and had never been out of the box. Once I put it all together and turned it on, it all worked. We spooled the wire through the cable and the gun and turned it off. After the got the metal ready to weld and turned it on the MIG part never would work. Of course the warranty was out even though it was brand new and customer service sucked with no help not any suggestions. What could be wrong. There is no reset buttons that I could find and we never have welded with it. I'd like to salvage it and I am not sending it back to Yes Welder as that will just cost me another $150 to send to them and get it back and that does not include their tech fees and repairs. The panel shows no voltage and will not respond to any settings. Any suggestion folks!
