The scene in the 3rd episode where she gets “kidnapped” by the cult and just started roasting tf outta them and leaving was lowkey the funniest scene to me
I still don’t understand how a sarcastic goth girl with occasional visions managed to be the weirdest student at a school that’s literally populated by mermaids and werewolves
Because the sirens are werewolves are literally just regular cringey teens with some extra body hair and contacts. Wednesday may not be a monster but she has always been socially awkward and into freakier things.
Right! And why is she so upset that her dad was a murderer, she literally says it would be terrible that she has ATEMPTED murder on her record, because people would know she didn't get the job done...
I like how the character will go out of their way to try and be friends with Wednesday and they get all surprised when they realise she's not a very good friend.
tyler's "how does it feel to lose?" was so cool. I'm really a sucker for those types of villains who act all innocent and then reveal their sinister plans with a subtle change in expression.
I do too and it somehow felt like Hans from Frozen (but better executed), which i never understood why people thought it made no sense, because Hans and Tyler both seemed the innocent and trustworthy guy until they revealed their true intentions right at the end.
I enjoyed Thing very much. The scene where he buys Wednesday that dress she liked and is told to wait and he's just sitting on the bed swinging his "legs" like an excited schoolgirl is hilarious. Also, his friendship with Enid is adorable. When she finds out about the secret society and they do their little finger click initiation and Enid's like "bro, wot" after Thing joins in
My favorite part of this show is how they made Gwendolyn Christie look like a queen. I mean they didn't try to make her look smaller, they accentuated her height. They made her look like the beautiful goddess she is. The camera loved her.
Yeah GOT played her dirty for making her character look like a masculine woman falling for a gay dude and ended up being dumped by a guy who shagged his biological sister 💀 I'm glad that she finally got a role that appreciates her feminine beauty ❤
Especially how so many trolls and reactionaires were trying to crap on the show before it was even out. As usual now that it is legitimately popular they slunk away.
I'm glad someone else finds the Hyde creature funny looking too. The scene where it pops out behind those burned walls was the scariest they could make it it look.
Tim Burton has always blurred horror with humor. The monster reminded me of Beetlejuice's (the movie) whole vibe. He talks about blending horror and humor as a way of taking the sting out of death and the unknown. I think Tim's at his best when he is allowed to be campy, weird, funny, and scary all at once
It’s so crazy how she only blinked when she had emotions and I never noticed until Jenna said something about it. Also can you do best friends whenever please
He needs to do best friends whenever. I have a younger sister who found it on disney channel and watched the first couple episodes, and I'm not sure if it's intentional but I'm pretty sure that RV was almost the exact same as the one from breaking bad Edit: also after some quick googling the kid who owns the RV had the last name "Eisenberg." I refuse to believe it's a coincidence
I think it mostly has to do with the fact that she didn't know. She didn't have her father capable of murder and if he indeed murdered someone, she expected him to have told her long time ago. But the fact that he hides it and all, it doesn't stick with her
@@jots2493 exactly, i mean it was hinted at that uncle fester went to jail for "eating girl scouts for breakfast" and when she runs into him it's one of the few if not only times she actually smiles, so if she's alright with him doing that then I really don't see why she'd have a problem with her father killing someone
Danny Elfman's hard work actually. Selick's just a camera monkey, he didn't come up with the original story concept (that was Tim), write an entire operetta including the libretto based on that poem (that was Danny) or even the script that was based on that libretto (that was Danny's girlfriend Caroline Thompson).
I unironically associate Addams family (Wednesday in particular) w thanksgiving because of Addams family values and Wednesday's iconic speech at the thanksgiving play
Everyone who tries to be friends with Wednesday always got mad at her for “being emotionless and not a good friend, and leading them on” when Wednesday clearly stated she doesn’t like ANYONE
@@JessJ_698 Hm I think she told them she was more cold and when Enid stormed off the first time and sat in the corner you could tell she didn't mean to come off as a terrible person she isn't a bad person ( visiting Ottinger in hospital, making sure the others don't get in trouble) but she got too in her head with the mystery dismissing everyone
Pugsley was almost crying about being tied up and put in a locker, I'm pretty sure that would be pretty tame compared to what he and Wednesday do to each other
It was explained on the show that only Wednesday is allowed to torture him. He only enjoys the torture games when it comes from his sister cuz is kind of their thing. Wednesday said it before dropping the piranhas in the pool and then when they had the family therapy session, pugsley said that he missed Wednesday because of that.
“This school is full of weirdo social outcasts, how is Wednesday the only weird goth?” THANK you! The Addams Family works best when they’re just in a white bread suburb and they freak people out by being themselves. Putting Wednesday in a monster high school kind of puts her character in a box because she’s not special when she’s in school with a werewolf
nathW00 - I'd disagree. In the show it's very clear that even amongst outcasts like vampires, werewolves ect. Wednesday and the other Addams's are still weird. You see it in the parents day episode which shows that all the other parents while being outcasts are all pretty normal people. Enid is a prime example of this in that she might be a werewolf but she's still a pretty normal teenage girl and Wednesday still freaks her out on multiple occasions.
Yeah you’re right, actually. I guess I got hung up on the Addams Family normally being the only supernatural/spooky element in their stories, so the werewolves and vampire stuff struck me as odd - but yeah it doesn’t actually change all that much with Wednesday herself :)
Can we just address Wednesday was terrible to both Tyler and Xavier and they both thought she was obsessed with them. I love the show, I've rewatched it already 😂
@@jewelcastle8736 actually she knew they were attracted for her but she ignored and kept treating them like nothing, and we can see that when she says to Xavier that, for some reason, he seems to like her as he answers there's nothing to like
Xavier seems to like her since childhood. They briefly mentioned she saved him when they were both 10 year old so that might have something to do with it. I don't think he saw her as obsessed with him. It looked like he couldn't let go of his childhood crush. For Tyler, it's probably planned so there is a reason why he was acting like that (if you seen all of season 1, you know what I mean) Anyway, I'm hoping 2nd season will be better. Some of the writing of season 1 feels like a wattpad writer. So crossing my finger that season 2 will be better.
I really disliked the love triangle - the fact that Wednesday was slapped between two wonderbread boys with no personality was so forced. Literally within the first episode both boys were drooling over her and they hadn't even had a meaningful conversation yet. I don't understand why the creators were trying to force Wednesday into the conventional YA main character role when her defining feature is that she does not conform to those expectations. Honestly she had more chemistry with Bianca than anyone else, even that path would be a stretch.
So true. I don't even see any chemistry with Enid as some people do. Bianca would be the only choice of romantic interest I'd kinda care about, and still that doesn't mean much 🤷
I was constantly thinking she was aroace or at least just not interested in anything romance-related. Hell, she's 15, there are so many girls that don't bother with this stuff until they're way into their 20s. Also, just me, or did the guys look completely the same. I was really struggling keeping them apart at times haha
@Shąñnón Júlïêň I’d agree except the monster looked the exact same in the book of monsters or whatever it was called. Seemed to be more of a conscious design decision. Thoughts?
I couldn't agree more. I watched the first episode with my daughter (36, so she grew up loving Christina Ricci's version of Wednesday). Later, I finished watching the series, including Jenna's crazy dance moves! I told my daughter she NEEDS to see this! Loved it!
The best part of the original show for me was that 1. The addams were a functional and loving family in their own charming way 2. The addams were completely oblivious to the fact that they were weird and just thought everybody else was a bit strange I get that it was trying to be an original thing, but both these things were kinda just thrown under the bus, for the sake of a dumb teen drama mystery. It kinda removes the charm of what makes the addams family so special to begin with in my opinion. I really liked Morticia, Fester, thing, Wednesday, Weems, and Enid though, good performances!
FR, like the OG show, the family loved and accepted one other, NO questions asked ???? like that was the beauty of the of OG show. Now Morticia is judgy and mean while Wenseday hates everyone including her family???
@@phifuru Batman is also a part of the justice league but if I watch a show called batman im not gonna be upset that they didnt dive deeply into the justice league
The comment you made about Tyler having the personality as Eddy of Plank and has the same range of emotions throughout the show is so spot on. Him being so one-dimensional and just being a "nice barista" made me know instantly by episode 2 he was the creature as there had to be something way more to his character than just that.
…I knew I shouldn’t have scrolled down to the comment section. I mean, he was my number one suspect with the hole “I swear I’m not a bad person” thing from the raven but it still kind of stings being proven right by a stranger rather then the show.
Yeah, woke media 101 tells us that the most basic white male is the bad guy, same as I knew at the very beginning that Bianca probably would have a tragic background story to overcome, and would become an ally to Wednesday.
5:00 These are the exact kind of girls that were saying "If you cannot handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best." Not so long ago before it became a meme of a cliché.
Yeah, I felt there were quite a few contradictions when it came to her moral values. I mean, I guess you could say that she condones violence when she feels it’s deserved, but even that contradicts with some of her lines and behaviors. Like, we don’t see it much in the show, but it’s established she tortures her brother for fun. It makes her character seem like she’s putting on a facade, like oh I love death and murder and all these terrible things unconditionally, except for when I have to be a likable and not entirely morally bankrupt protagonist.
My favorite thing about the show is how much work Jenna put into it like we know she carried but also she learned cello just months before and she did research on old gothic dance moves and even incorporated the original Wednesday’s dance into the choreography she made for her raven dance
@@a.personofficial Well considering she’s a young actress and could’ve easily not done those things and had them done for her by doubles or choreographers yes I am going to highlight these things. So sorry we’re uplifting people and their accomplishments
@@_Zephster yeah and it’s great that they do I never said it wasn’t, saying something positive about one person doesn’t equate to telling everyone else they’re doing horribly dude
What I don't like about the plot is that Wednesday mistakenly identifies suspects and then only realizes that they're innocent when they're dead or jailed and her prophecy power is only there just to give her a clue about what she is supposed to look for next. I expect her to be as cunning, execute her plan with minimal faults, and rely less on her power. Remember Wednesday from the Addams Family Values when she burned the camp to the ground. She plotted secretly and wait for the opportunity to strike.
I agree. I was so annoyed when she kept accusing wrong people with out even trying to listen to them. Like, she already missed 2 times and was so confident about the next? It felt like she didn't even stop to think about all possibilities and just went straight to the next guess..Even tho I love this version of Wednesday, there are some major mistakes they made with her character.
@@drunkduck8073 Exactly! where in the world did she get that confidence that she can solve the case when she's accusing people left and right. The monster was only revealed to her through vision! I think the writers missed the opportunity to showcase Wednesday's cunning nature or they're just poor at writing mystery plots, cause there is no proper or fruitful investigation happened in the story. Every mystery was revealed by sheer luck or her vision and through Goody Addams.
@@costelinha1867 The Addams family values. At the end of the film, it was revealed that she and the other outcast in the camp planned to burn it to the ground.
Complaining that it was released 1 month after Halloween is just stupid and felt like he was only looking for reasons to not like the show, then he said at the end he likes it and it's worth a watch (which I agree with). His review was kinda annoying.
As an Australian who grew up without an awareness of thanksgiving, seeing Wednesday cut right through the charade and call out the trivialisation of an event that caused multiple deaths and mass seizures of land assets, well, it rather coloured my views on thanksgiving, making it hard for me to think about it without also seeing Wednesday burning everything down, as punishment for the future/past treatment of her people.
I got to binge the whole season in one night cause insomnia is a jerk, and I absolutely loved it. Only thing was that like....she outright told her friends "I hate everything and everyone will die. I will die alone, i have no true friends and never will" and everyone is like "lol Wednesday your so cray cray" Then when she's, ya know. Not concerned about danger, doesn't show respect to them and has the same attitude towards them, they're like "what the hell Wednesday, why aren't you treating us nicely, you almost killed us!" And she's there like "...........have you met me? I literally spelled it out to you right away...."
Weird how an emotionless character like her is so appealing to others she attracts quite a few people who want to be friends or in arelationship with her
i LOVED jenna as wednesday and i also love netflix for adding CHRISTINA RICCI, FRICKEN CHRISTINA RICCI. don’t get me wrong jenna did fantastic, truly amazing, but christina ricci will always be my favorite wednesday portrayal
I binged this show yesterday and I loved it! Everything, including the gore, it being a little cheesy, and how the characters look, add to the cartoonish vibe.

What i love is that she comes off as so perfect in everything that she does, but still maintains her composure down to the end whens he made a bunch of mistakes. What I love is that Wednesday is done so well, her face is always nonchalant but her eyes have so much emotion, especially in scenes when you can see she isn't an emotionless shell, but simply a teen who has trouble accepting and expressing said emotions as well as does a really damn good job of suppressing them.
Jenna's version of Wednesday feels new and different, as much as Christina Ricci's version is stucked on my head she def killed this teenage Wednesday one

Agreed, Jenna Ortega really did carry the show, she did amazing at her role and put so much effort in to understanding it, which is why Wednesday is forever gonna be everyone’s favourite
I found it weird how she suddenly was hating her parents and disrespecting them and not wanting to be like them. I thought the whole point of The Addams Family is that they're weirdos, but actually love and care for each other. I feel like she didn't need that rebellious teenager phase at all and I just felt awful for Gomez and Morticia the whole time lol
Listen, This movie is not connected to the Addams family movie from the 90s . And about disrespecting I’m sure it was implemented on purpose by Tim because it’s the 2022 era in this movie teenagers are grumpy
@@prestonyenger that has nothing to do w ONLY the 90s adaptation (it's so funny that ppl seem to think that the 90s version is the orignal😹😹)the addams family was written as a caring and loving family EVEN in the orignal AND in the comics. @@DeeDiamond2981 i would have expected wednesday to be " not like other kids " in the aspect of the whole point of their quirkiness as an addam family member. Addams family were supposed to be cynical and sadistic but also at the same time showing unconditional love in a unconventional way. netflix's wednesday is just following the whole edgy tenneager trope and its no different from any teen drama shows we have right now. i literally would have loved it if they sticked with the classics wednesday instead of this always grumpy serious wednesday. not to mention the writing was so bad the only thing keeping up with this whole show is jenna ortega and the hype.
We definitely need more shows where the brooding cynical character is paired up with the perky, sunny one. Wednesday and Enid's dynamic makes this show for me!
Idk it seems like a played idea that only a few ppl can do well. And by the time that person comes along we'll be so tired of the trope that it's hard to appreciate.
Jena elevates it. I knew she would be great before I watched it when I read she took cello and fencing lessons on her own dime to better get into the character and be more believable. That is like much much older award winning level actor/ actress dedication to the craft.
I can't help but feel like Alex was waiting SO HARD for this show. Admit it bud, this was your actual holiday present for the year. FYI it was mine too.
She went from evil but likeble to just a snarky girl after the first episode, it's like the writers didn't want to get cancelled or something if it got too dark
I don't think she is supposed to be "evil". She wasn't likable immediately, it was only when we saw her helping the weak when she started to become likable
Yeah, the Wednesday we came for, the one in the trailer in the first 5 minutes of the movie with the piranha’s was painfully quick to be proven nothing more then something to grab the audiences attention. I mean she goes from trying to hurt an entire swimming team herself to be chocked about finding out that her dad might have killed 1 person in 3 episodes. Like weirdly enough I think number Five from the Umbrella Academy does a better job as acting like the og Wednesday then Wednesday in her own series.
My brother in Christ, what on earth would the writers be canceled for? Is your brain this broken by political discourse that you can't watch a stupid show aimed at teenagers without thinking everything is "woke"?
My biggest complaint is that Wednesday is basically a Marry Sue. She's super smart, knows everything, from languages, fixing things, dancing, fighting, sword fighting, music, history,... She cannot be defeated and has no weaknesses. It's like playing a video game on tutorial mode. All enemies are pointless, you're just trying to solve all the puzzles.
I believe her weakness was always that she basically shows no emotions towards those who care for her and that put her at risk of losing them and being left alone like when thing got stabbed and she cried for the first time because he was in danger when she left him alone and when enid left their room
She has clear weaknesses that demote her from the Mary Sue title. She's socially inept, lacks empathy, and is too confident in her often wrong deduction. She's also reckless and has many moments of vulnerability. Also, when the main character needs other characters' favors in like every other episode, it's a pretty good indicator she's not a Mary Sue since she can't do everything herself.
What I like about this Wednesday is that her gothness doesnt come from listening emo songs or having her heart broken. She was just that way from the beginning, a true goth girl.
@@inkubator320yeah fr, like goth is literally a subculture created around music. Sure, you don’t have to like the music to enjoy the style, but I dunno how you can be “a true goth girl” in the traditional sense without ANY of the musical aspects.
@@thedestroyasystem yeah typically if you don't know the music surrounding the culture and only the aesthetic you would be labeled a poser. Though I think Wednesday goth takes from more of the medieval gothic era not necessarily goth as what it is known as today.
@@hollowwoods7130 I can live with that. Cancelling people is fun and does no harm as long as I'm the only person doing it. Also, I'm pretty sure she's not even related to Daniel Ortega. I just thought it would be a funny reason to cancel her, especially when it's not even true.
8:31 Forgot to mention his name is Tyler. I feel like any character in a live action teen TV show named Tyler has the exact personality like that. (Yet again, my best friend's name is Tyler and he has the personality of Squidward)
These "love interests" this season weren't deserving of Wednesday. Sure they were fawning over her, none of them matched her ...intensity. The show needs to bring it next time. Someone quietly amazing who gets her on every level who will demonstrate just enough affection to make her smirk.
I was so disappointed in the villain reveal because it leaves the door open for Xavier and he was such a whiney little baby. Like Tyler wasn’t great but at least he didn’t throw tantrums. I hope that if there’s another season Wednesday either rides solo or like you said they introduce somebody new whose on her level
@@mermaidcatching yeah me too.. that guy didn't even had enough scenes to count him out as a villain. i did expect that the villain's gonna be someone that the audience never thinks of but the reveal was a bit disappointing.
This is my 7yo's favorite live-action show. She's idolizes Wednesday, but she's totally a little Enid: colorful, flouncy, and energetic, but also socially awkward
overall i enjoyed the show, but the dynamic they tried to push with wednesday’s relationship with her parents was so odd. as the audience we were constantly told that wednesday was being pressured to be just like morticia but then both morticia and gomez were shown to be nothing but supportive. it really irked me, in i think the second to last episode, when wednesday said something along the lines of “i’ve been alone my whole life” because.. no you haven’t? her family is constantly showering her with support and kindness and she’s the one that’s rejecting/and or choosing to ignore it. i really dont know if, as an audience, we’re meant to empathize with wednesday’s feeling towards her family because if we are then it was done horribly; it just left me feeling very annoyed with her acting ungrateful and bratty. also i feel one of the main key points in the previous renditions of the addams family is that even though they are perceived to be odd or dysfunctional, they’re truly a loving family and look out for one another (which was always refreshing to see). i really don’t know why this show tried to stray from that, it wasn’t done well at all
One of the main “themes” was that it’s like her being apart of a normal teenage experience. Hating her parents is part of this, don’t forgot that she is older in this rendition than she is in the other versions.
@@lxlrvfx1764 personally i don’t think that translates well in the show and only lowers her likability as a protagonist , but i’m probably just biased since i don’t enjoy the “teenager hates everyone and everything” trope lol
I agree with everything you said. I also didn't like how Gomez and Morticia were too PDA and have absolutely no self-control. Originally, they have their moments but sometimes it's Morticia who tells him off because they have company. It didn't make sense in some places. Though I was wondering maybe Wednesday was having this thing where as we get older, we think of our parents as parents as if they don't have a past or as if they weren't teenagers once. So she misunderstands? Or it's her way of trying to figure out her own identity and she's comparing herself to her mom. But that's what I was trying to tell myself to make it make sense 🤷🏻♀️
I think it is more she has trust issues. She pushes people away and is suspicious of everyone. So she feels alone although she isn't. She had her roommate she had the artist as her friend. I think that is what it was trying to say.
No, I agree. There are a lot of little derails that were changed but those details were so important for the construction of the characters and how they interact with each other and operate. I'm not a fan of the straying but I do understand they tried to make it appeal/relate to teens better.
My husband and I said the same thing "weird that they didn't put this out for Halloween instead." But then we got to the whole "pilgrims'" parts and we were like ah... Thanksgiving
Its such a bizarre show yet its pretty damn good. Wednesday is such an interesting character, her interactions with others makes me more invested, its honestly a fun time
Are we just gonna ignore how the monster is literally the least scary thing on the planet. Bro looks like something straight out of scooby doo/ plants vs zombies

@@marissawilson4644 She was so little too when she did that! Such a little cutie. Her and looking for flies to feed her pet spider. Aw. At least that's how I remember it, just a mash of sweet, funny, and even wholesome B&W moments.
it feels like such a generic teen drama but it's made in a fascinatingly entertaining way, probably partly because it doesn't take itself very seriously, like with the monster designs and whatnot. I also liked how Wednesday and her relatives casually talked about murder, necrophilia and graverobbing, and the deaths of the side characters weren't too crushing for the story.
@@cherrylemonade2376 The writing was definitely pretty lazy sometimes and there was a recurring theme of having to talk about something just for the sake of having Wednesday make a quirky remark about it. Making the show completely revolve around Wednesday was a good decision because scenes without Jenna Ortega's lead acting got old real fast. Then again, I feel like the story was just right for a young teenage audience. the story also progressed fast enough so it was never difficult to watch.
“If you hear me screaming bloody murder. There’s a good chance I’m just enjoying myself.” I love her lol. Never watched the original show but I’m definitely watching this for Jenna.

“This school is full of weirdo social outcasts, how is Wednesday the only weird goth?”
THANK you! The Addams Family works best when they’re just in a white bread suburb and they freak people out by being themselves. Putting Wednesday in a monster high school kind of puts her character in a box because she’s not special when she’s in school with a werewolf
I mean she’s still weird. Werewolves are just normal people who get furry every so often
nathW00 - I'd disagree.

I think that's the point of it. She clearly had ZERO interests in them, and how little she cared and how dense she can be with regards to romance.
My bestie and I said the exact same thing about the love triangle and Bianca!!!
So true. I don't even see any chemistry with Enid as some people do. Bianca would be the only choice of romantic interest I'd kinda care about, and still that doesn't mean much 🤷

Is your brain this broken by political discourse that you can't watch a stupid show aimed at teenagers without thinking everything is "woke"?
but i liked her when she was evil.
absolutely adored the show and the fact the monster looks goofie as heck actually made it even better imo
Well she was kinda defeated by tyler in the end
I would've agreed but she got the wrong guy arrested so....
@@Vario65bit she also got the wrong person arrested. So they have no idea what they're talking about
9:50 why did the moster put him down so gently 😆
The equivalent of when your mad at your brand new phone but don’t wanna break it
What I like about this Wednesday is that her gothness doesnt come from listening emo songs or having her heart broken. She was just that way from the beginning, a true goth girl.
Why does that matter
@@inkubator320yeah fr, like goth is literally a subculture created around music. Sure, you don’t have to like the music to enjoy the style, but I dunno how you can be “a true goth girl” in the traditional sense without ANY of the musical aspects.
@@inkubator320 because no body likes a fake goth kid who tries to hard
@@thedestroyasystem yeah typically if you don't know the music surrounding the culture and only the aesthetic you would be labeled a poser. Though I think Wednesday goth takes from more of the medieval gothic era not necessarily goth as what it is known as today.
A lot of the fake goths are just regular mean girls in an alt wrapper.
jenna ortega is the next upcoming actress, her performance in wednesday was phenomenal and she barely blinked while playing her
I might have agreed, only I heard she's related to Daniel Ortega, so I kind of have to cancel her.
@@NotoriousLightningwhy? What did she do?
@@NotoriousLightning If you cancel someone based off who they're related to, you're a pathetic piece of shit
@@TutorialConspiracy I don't know. I just like to cancel people I guess.
7:10 "What was I even talking about?" Me everytime I get into a long conversation.
@@mermaidcatching yeah me too.. that guy didn't even had enough scenes to count him out as a villain. i did expect that the villain's gonna be someone that the audience never thinks of but the reveal was a bit disappointing.
in my opinion she would be with any of them, boring, leave her with no love interest, shes Wednesday addams ffs
@@gabimferraz5212 literally!
Facts didn’t like either of them for Wednesday
You wouldn't believe how long it took for me to figure out that the "Stoners" can literally turn people into Stone. I was so confused at first 😭
I thought they were just normies that smoked weed for the first 4 episodes xD
OMG, I JUST GOT THAT😂
YEEEEEEES
WAIT I NEVER CAUGHT THAT OMGG
Omg same💀
This is my 7yo's favorite live-action show.
My mother completely forgot Thanksgiving existed until that moment, and we were watching it on Thanksgiving.
@@hawktalon7890 im crying 🤣🤣🤣❤
Its such a bizarre show yet its pretty damn good. Wednesday is such an interesting character, her interactions with others makes me more invested, its honestly a fun time
Are we just gonna ignore how the monster is literally the least scary thing on the planet. Bro looks like something straight out of scooby doo/ plants vs zombies
It could've done without the "I don't want to follow in your footsteps" thing but I was surprised by this show and I kinda feel like they did well. I could rewatch this a bunch
That would be canon. In the show and the cartoon movies, the kids rebelled.
@@marissawilson4644 ah ok. That makes more sense. I'll be honest and say I'm more familiar with the movies.
@@marissawilson4644 She was so little too when she did that! Such a little cutie. Her and looking for flies to feed her pet spider. Aw. And when Gomez picked her up she practically fell asleep in his arms while he was pacing around worrying about her and everything, that was so funny.
At least that's how I remember it, just a mash of sweet, funny, and even wholesome B&W moments.
10:05 I believe that is the monster from the first live action Scooby-Doo movie
10:20 i just realized he looks like zombie from plants vs zombies💀💀
LOL
Finally. Someone else sees it
😂
9:37 OMG. I cackled so hard i started coughing.
Just.
In the 8th episode she says “is your spectral vision impaired? I’m dying” each time I hear this I burst out laughing I can’t it’s too funny
it feels like such a generic teen drama but it's made in a fascinatingly entertaining way, probably partly because it doesn't take itself very seriously, like with the monster designs and whatnot. I also liked how Wednesday and her relatives casually talked about murder, necrophilia and graverobbing, and the deaths of the side characters weren't too crushing for the story.
I feel like the writing and the Characters were dry but Jenna really made up for it most of the time
@@cherrylemonade2376 The writing was definitely pretty lazy sometimes and there was a recurring theme of having to talk about something just for the sake of having Wednesday make a quirky remark about it.
I agree; that thing looked SO weird!
The piranha scene is funny because in reality, the phiranhas would die in a few seconds because of the chlorine.
And also wouldn’t be vicious at all unless blood was present. River Monsters disproved the “piranhas immediately attack living things” myth.
It wasent funny
In my opinion:
Im not saying that they should delete that Scene its just I can skip It at least Because i have a fear of Fish (icthyphobia)
How was it funny? She castrated a boy cos he bullied her or something? What? How tf is that justified in any way? Who tf thought that was funny? How did Netflix allow that? U know damn well there wouldn't be a scene if piranha mutilating a girl's genitals. It was extremely fucked up.

The problem with this show, is that the Addams family has always been oblivious to the fact that they are outcasts. In this show they point it out at every possible turn. It kinda breaks what made the source material special.
Exactly!
Plus they try to force in your "basic family drama" cliches into their whole thing- which doesn't work well when their whole thing is that they aren't a normal family
During the show she became mellow oyr of her rebellious phase toward her familly amd became nice again with her mother
Who gives a crap about the source material lmao. If you want the source material then go read the source material
