It's Winter But Florida Is Like: "MOWING TALL GRASS IS ODDLY SATISFYING"

- New yard that you've only seen quick time version of, after many requests this is the real time version so sit back and enjoy.
Q: Why did you leave that pile of junk in the street?
A: My city offers free curbside pickup using TL3 scoop loaders. Takes a city worker 30 seconds and no effort to clean it up. Otherwise I would have to charge my client more to pay for me to remove it, so there is no logical choice except leave it for city pickup.
Q: Why aren’t you mowing in straight lines or striping?
A: Striping isn’t a big deal down here. Most of the time we are cutting many species of grass around 2.5” or 3”, and that is too short to leave striping. (Maybe tire tracks, but not actually striping the lawn.) Even when I cut Saint Augustine at 4.5” it doesn’t lay down and stripe, it is just too stiff of a grass blade. I am willing to bet if you think striping is a big deal, you live further North than I do. As far as straight lines, breaking the yard into segments makes a better video, which is my main goal. Plus with as many clippings as were present, stripes would be covered.
Q: You discharged towards XYZ and that makes you an amateur.
A: This yard, at is narrowest, is ~12' wide/deep. I have a 48" (4') mower deck. Generally a mower throws grass clippings two or three passes long, which means that no matter what I am going to be hitting something. Either the house or the fence, pick one (often both), If I don't ever point towards the AC, then I am blasting the vinyl fencing. At the end of the day, everything is blown off, structures and fences and AC's and sidewalks. You can't keep grass off all those places while you are mowing. A chute blocker wouldn't have helped, this grass was much too thick and tall to use a chute blocker or mulch plate.
- Q: You cut the grass too short!
- A: If you cut any grass at this height down to 3.25”, it will be more brown than green. That isn’t a sign I damaged it, just the way grass works. It grew back fine.
Q: That wasn’t tall grass, you should see blah blah blah.
A: Lots of people will also say they liked it better before or it wasn’t too tall the way it was. All personal preference, unless you live in an HOA like this client, in which case it doesn’t matter what you prefer, it only matters what the HOA is going to enforce.
Q: Why are you using electric equipment? I can tell from the second you started using it you weren’t a professional.
A: HART and ECHO have both sent me electric equipment to test out. When filming, I have to move the camera between 50 and 100 times, depending on the project. That means edging a section, then stopping, walking to the camera, moving the camera, adjusting the shot, walking back to where I stopped, start edging again, repeat dozens of times. Electric equipment doesn’t waste gas during that extra time, isn’t loud, and in some cases is a touch lighter.
Q: Is the new Bobcat mower yours?
A: I am currently in the middle of a several month demo from Bobcat. I was not paid to feature the Bobcat mower, am not obligated to say anything about it one way or another, and as this video shows am allowed to put it through absolutely ANYTHING I want to! :D

Were those trophy grass pelts?! 😄 Very satisfying video... 👍 It's cold and wet here in the PNW, last mow was a couple weeks ago. 😔
@@CopperCreekCuts Sorry
@@imscottmc40 I don’t think it’s needed to apologise for a question 🙂 People like Originz have some PMS problems or so.
@@imscottmc40 It's just his longer version he released a short version, a long version, and sometimes a response to complaining version.
It’s amazing how it grows out onto the driveway and brings the soil with it 🤣
Love that St Augustine.
I love to have some of those clumps to fill in the bare spots in my lawn in the Northeast 😆
You want to get rif of weeds, plant st augustine.
Free sod.
Glad your channel lets us hear the mowers and trimmers instead of loud music!😀
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who like having nice yards, and those who leave indoor furniture outside.
I'm going to use this quote 🤣🤣🤣
Facts
There's one f****** shelf it's not even in bad shape I mean it will be soon but her your yard is nicer than yours
Be a so sorry about that
Yes 👏
I like that New mower. .. Even the way She talks to you!! LOL
Jesus is LORD 🙏
AMEN!!!!
I know you've heard it a thousand times but that is by far the coolest lawnmower I have ever seen.
agreed
"Do you want me to prove it?"
"Yeah I’d like to see you try-"
*happy music and before shots*
I pretty much manicure my lawn but there is just something about when you see an overgrown lawn and you detail it back to life that just speaks volume.
“Yea, I’d like to see you tr-“ Haha, brilliant.
One of your best vids! Great job entertaining me!
How are you doing today
Out of all the mowing channels, I'm glad I found yours. Keep up the great work!
I love your videos keep cutting lawns
The edging is over 90% of this job. That tool is a real workhorse, as well as a must have for any of these yards.
Never seen an edge that I couldn't do with one of my weed wackers.
Ya
I love how in Michigan (where I live) there is snow and this guy is mowing in Florida
And in Michigan they actually mow lines. Not just circles
@@mintyfresh0811 I live in central Florida (from Dayton, Ohio) and most of us use lawn care companies with regular mowers. Our lots are smaller and the big mowers leave ruts. I also like the lines regular mowers leave; reminds me of Ohio.
Minute mark 15:58, Brad is holding up his prize mullets....😂😂😂😂
As you began edging, I suddenly remember a title of one of my favorite books as a child. Shel Silversteins, " Where the Sidewalk Ends". Just thought I'd share this humorous thought.
I literally have the flying shoe tattooed on my leg.
At 31:08 there is a lizard family on the mail box! How cute!! Just Florida things.
The drone shot at the end was the only way to show how awesome that tree is
You can tell a lot about a person by their definition of edging. 🤣
Great work digging that condenser out👍🏻
I would have seriously considered bagging this one. That grass is tall enough it practically needs to be baled 😆
Man im so glad its mowing season over here in Texas💪🏼💪🏼
As soon as I got this notification I knew I had to watch it
Appreciate all the good and had work 👍🏾✊🏾
Watching your videos always warm my heart. I am a Nebraska girl but lived in Florida for a year and a half when I first got married (13 years ago the 22nd of Dec) to my Navy Veteran husband. We moved then to Virginia, and then back to Nebraska when he separated. Our hearts still long for Florida, however. Those early, lean days of marriage and the beautiful weather and the ocean. We will retire there for sure, if we don't move back before then. I love watching your videos because I am OCD and the cleaning up of lawns is satisfying, but seeing glimpses of Florida always makes me smile. Sorry for the long comment, but thank you!
It looks amazing.. thanks for the video.
Hey man, just wanted to tell you that I love your content. I found you like 3 weeks back and bingewachted like half of your videos already. One thing that stands out to me is how honest you are about what jobs you take and don't take. I think a lot of commenters just don't get that business decisions have to be made all the time and that includes not taking jobs that just wouldn't bring in the money a job of that size needs to bring in. So keep up your good work, great videos and your will to educate the haters :)
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it!
41:20 - I've seen that look before. It's the true look of any lawn manicurist saying "Why the heck am I doing this job?" LOL. Love the transformation!
My god mowing circles will damage the sod they should be proper straight lines over 30 year in the business
This is why I won’t buy a zero turn. Plus where I live is very wet and heavy mowers destroy yards around here.
ExMark X30 does the job.
I cringed when I saw him go between those houses with so much as a trim, let alone mowing a nice border so he didn’t have to get so close to the edges of everything with that over sized tank
I don’t have much to mow all I have is a mower and lawn sweeper and it’s my parents yard oh ya I’m only 10 so I don’t have a business
this guy makes poor decisions when mowing
Also the back & fourth rotation on the edger damages the drive shaft
@@Bankroll98 the only thing i understood was drive shaft😂😂
Nice drone shot at the end! Added a real Cecil B DeMille touch of drama for the conclusion without a cast of thousands. Nice!
Love the edger usage!!!
Yay! I have been waiting for the real time of this video. Thank you
I can't get enough of your videos , keep them comming.
Great service, you even widened their driveway!
Hey from Texas. It has been between the 40's and 60's, for the highs. You should take more water breaks, when you mow in that kind of heat!!
Wow huge yard‼️ALOHA GOOD JOB🤙🏽🌺🌴🍍
Undoubtedly the most relaxing video in all of lawncare. You sir, are a maestro! 💯🌟🌟🌟🌟💯
Oooo drone shot, fancy fancy 🤣❤👍🏼
Great videos. Your very smart dressing for sun protection. I wish I had. At 60 I am paying the price.
No complains with that amazing intro
I love your video so much keep up the great work Florida man northeast Florida man.
I love your video so much Brad you're such an inspiration.
That edger works phenomenally
me in Canada watching while there are cars drifting in snow outside: interesting .....
I remember mowing our lawn as a kid in the 70s in Houston Texas. I loved it so much! I always volunteered for it. Or at least to help. As a matter of fact I even remember that when I was around 6 that my dad bought the brand new Weed Eater that had just come out. I remember it so well.
So satisfying, Ive never loved my job, then I started my own lawncare/landscape business a few years ago. Absolutely love it, so satisfying
I just have to say your channel has been keeping me going while I’m in the hospital thank you 💜
Bobcat please run a few buttons down the assembly line! I would buy them ALL!
Damn, Brad - after a couple of those LONG overgrown edges you got some legitimately usable sod, lol
This is so satisfying to watch
I like your subconscious talking.....I would like to hear more of that! Also you are a perfectionist like me...when I do my lawn I make sure I do it so it all looks perfect. There’s no point in doing it ...’good enough’
Very nice! Loved the video!! 😀👍
I feel contented 🥰
Beautiful lawn! Good job!, thanks for sharing.
It's so relaxing watching you do gardening x
I love your style Copper Creak.
Whoooo, what a lot of hard work. You always do a good job!
Satisfaction guaranteed 💪🏽💪🏽 nice work
Your intros just keep getting better and better.
I do enjoy these longer videos ❤️ another great vid
Looks great in the end!
Amazing, so much work, looks great! 💪🏼
He did such a great work
I love the new white bobcat mower
i love how you hold up the little carpets of grass up like you're posing with a fish you just caught.
Great work, loved the "sub-conscience angle to the plotline! Keep up the great content! Doug👍⭐⭐⭐🐻🧸
Great video bro, you really cleaned that property up. I know that was alot of work but you did it 🤙
ALWAYS trim before you mow. And I bet the neighbors love having you spew all that grass all over their lawn!
This is my first time here and I was thinking along your lines. I thought blowing stuff all over the neighbor's lawn very rude and not what most UA-cam lawnmowers do. I also thought the trimming along the house was uneven and looked messy. Right now I vote you one of my top three companies not to watch often, following Mr. "This Wasn't My Best Work Today" and Mr. "It Would Look Better With Another Pass But It's What They Get Today". I will watch again to see if I'm right.
It's winter but in my neck of the woods ( Central Mexico ) it's time to mow and throw some fertilizer, put on a little bit of iron supplement and put some "cool weather" plants like pansies in the beds.
Brad's videos are always inspirational, makes me wanna pull out the mower and give the lawn a "haircut" even though I mowed 3 days ago.
Love the fact that the Electric Trimmers can keep up with the louder 🔊 more obnoxious cousins also wouldn't mind having a go on a bobcat mower sometime either. Hope Bertha isn't giving you too much shite now....
Not even taken care of yet the grass is green and beautiful. Teach me the ways
Hello! You were my first UA-cam subscription. This little old white haired lady loves to watch you edge, now, whatever. And you'll never hear me complain. Just keep up the good work! You ROCK!
That is some nice grass there. Merry Christmas!!!
I always mow first because it makes find the edging much easier.
On these properties edging first means all the junk gets mulched up by the mower.
I love how Brad just roasts the haters in every video, then goes back to doing it his way anyway ✊
Yup
Because it’s the wrong way believe me you never cut with a heavy machine in circles in will destroy the sod each time he turns it’s digging in straight lines as much as possible I have over 30 year experience at this work. What’s funny is people think he is great a good hand at the edging in fairness credit where it’s due
can we come on and watch the damn grass cutting already
So.... Um... I was wondering, how much is foreman pay? I sit and watch from the beginning till the end making sure the yard gets done... Making sure your doing a great job... Now do you wanna do direct pay or pay pal? AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 I love watching. You do great work.
Quality Assurance is vital for every profession! :)
Great job keep up the good work
Brave man running no chute blocker. Especially on a overgrown yard ! That Bobcat seemed to handle it very well though. Great Job
Brad, thanks for the gift man. Very thoughtful of you. Subbed to your channel (sorry, you know I was more of the IG guy 😉 lol)...luckily you have 400+ videos to keep me occupied now! Thanks for your support. Loved the video.
That looks like a good established lawn that definitely needed the edging. Nice job 👍
Lawns in December! That’s what I’m talking about.
And if he was in New England, or the upper Midwest, he would be cutting firewood
That is a really nice mower man!!
Florida is a beautiful nice and warm weather down in Florida but here in Chicago it’s winter and it’s cold and snowy🥶🥶 lucky in in Florida you can still mow grass in winter time in Florida.
Good job...keep up your good work, first time looking at your video.
5:29 god damn that was trippy. I felt like I was under water and my ears popped
It's definitely "oddly satisfying" to run this in the background while I'm at work in an office. :)

Lmao I was looking for your comment!
This is funny!
I am new to your channel, but I think you do amazing work!! Very satisfying..
That’s a beautiful mower
Wow?! You really went above and beyond to get the job done??!!! The yard looks amazing!! I loved loved loved the edging you did throughout especially along the sidewalk to get those crisp deep edges!! It was very nicely done and was so much fun to watch you tear up those big patches of grass growing out from the sidewalk??!! I also like how you took the time to edge around the air conditioner to remove those nasty bushes growing up into it! You didn’t just weed wack it you went the extra mile to dig up that grass around the edging to ensure it looked nice. It’s the little details that make the difference. Excellent job, Sir!! Excellent job!! Thank you for sharing your video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. God bless you and your family, Sir .... in JESUS Name! 👍❤️👏☺️
Holy crap, Coppercreekman! Tell Bertha you are not voice-activated. And your edger is to die for!
Gorgeous green grass. Great job.
Good job , sheriff Brad!
Nice job and damn that was a lot of edging
I was exhausted watching you fight to edge the front. We have St Augustine on our lawn here in Atlanta and for 15 years it has been wonderful! It chokes out weeds...we've never even fertilized it. And we never bag the clippings. Great video!
I came from Jack channel And You're so kind You deserve A sub!
that intro was very creative, I like it.
