This is the most difficult tall grass cutting job I have ever had! - Satisfying mowing Australia

- This overgrown backyard was a treasure chest of obstacles, and had the toughest grass I have ever encountered!
This was early in my mowing career, and I had a lot more stamina than I do now, and I did the best I could with the tools I could afford. We all start somewhere :)
Have a great day!

can't decide if i am more astonished from the fact that i just watched a video from a guy mowing grass or from the fact that the lawn mower survived this mayhem....
Made me wonder how hot it was getting the entire video.
Made me wonder how many lawn mowers he wore out in a year!
@@j.harkleroad3347 I used to have a lawn maintenance business as well and quite frankly it is remarkable how well the mowers hold up. If you think that the average person cuts their lawn for the season and when the season of over that is a year when I had 42 laws to cut in a week that would be equivalent to 42 years of work for that mower per summer. A lot of the lawns that I did were the hard ones that were difficult and that was why I was hired. Big hills and big lawns were typical. The big thing that would wear out with me was the mower bodies and blades. They crack near the wheels and yes you wear the wheels out as well. I have one mower still and it runs like a champ and I used to use it for my business for three or four years and for my own lawn now for the last 20 years plus. It is just starting to smoke a bit when it is running and I don't blame it after what it has been through. lol. By the way I used mainly Toro and Honda mowers.
Right? He mentions not having a riding mower... But stuff like the bike lock would get sucked up and destroy a riding mower. Wow.
Exactly!!!!🤣
Tiled patio with a roof, brick edging, a swimming pool and a brick BBQ. Someone clearly put a lot of time and love into that yard at one point. Good to see it's getting a second shot at life.
I'd guess they lost it to foreclosure or something and the bank just let it go
@@chrisortiz8072 there are dogs penned in the pool fence. Someone lives there. Probably not the people who originally set the yard up though.
Not anymore
What’s been bugging me is why did they place the pool so far from the house? Usually one wants to have the view of it from the house and the yard beyond. At least how we do things in California!
going with how far the grass had grown over the hard surfaces, they were the last people to really care about it
I’ve had the pleasure of discovering your channel in only just the last week. It blows my mind that you would receive negative comments, wtf 😳 You are an absolute treasure Sean! I have found myself seeking out your channel every night, watching you do such kind deeds is my new favourite hobby. Thank you, from a fellow Aussie.
Got to respect anyone who works as hard as this guy.😃
Me: Mows a lawn, finds a stray stone. Gets annoyed.
This guy: finds pathways, rockeries, trees, edgings. All part of a day's work.
Dude, you're a legend.
The only thing that didn't turn up was Harold Holt..geez
man if finding a rock when you mow sets you off you really need to take a few steps back and reevaluate your life.
🤣🤣🤣
He does seem to have a special talent for finding hardscaping!
Me: finds stone
Stone: ha i win
Me: no you don't
Stone: sht
Me: sludge hammer to stone and dispose
No more stone
When you pulled out that rake at 3:26 I wouldn't have been too surprised if there was a skeleton attatched to it from the last bloke that attempted the job 😅
Hahaha good one :D
This cracked me up 🤣
Naw he just dropped the rake and went to the house for a beer and never went back. Ever, I mean ever again.
lol
I kept thinking he might find a body. Not a good thing.
Its not only the work that shows. Its the sweat marks on the shirt that also show just how willing you are to make this yard look the best it possibly can. Huge respect man. You're a mowing beast.
hey thanks mate
Obviously the idiots that make negative remarks have never lifted a finger to help someone else. They've probably never done manual labor in their life, so they have no idea what hard work is.
Your do a great job and should be very proud of the man you've become. Keep up the great work!!
You need the big ride on in that jungle, how strong you are, you are a angle, you need a few helpers, hope you have 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺fantastic
I've only been watching lawn mowing videos for a couple months, but already I'm impressed by the difference in vegetation between America and Australia. You all win, hands down, for the thickest, most pernicious vegetation, it's almost like you are in a jungle. Anyway, this was a great video, and it's great to see those of you who help out those in need!
Applause for that little beast of a push mower.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
No kidding, that thing did SO well!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
Its the little engine that could!
👏👍
Anytime my landscaper complains about my yard, I will be showing him this clip. God bless you for tackling this job. I’m left in awe.
Lmao
Lol u probably pay your landscaper 30$ for the back and front this dude got paid around 80-100$
@@chicomichel4507 ..he deserved more than that.
It doesn't matter whose yard you clean, you always give it your best and do an immaculate job! Your videos are so relaxing to watch because I know it's going to be done right!!
I don't know exactly how I came across your channel but I'm glad I did. Watching these videos is helping with my anxiety at the moment. Thank you and you are such a hard worker ! Great example for your kid/s. Keep posting and ignore the haters.
Can we take a min and give that push mower the recognition it truly deserves.. What a beast!! The maker of that beast should be sponsoring you sir!!
That mower deserves respect for sure!! What a little beast it is!!! I’m sure it needed major cleaning afterwards. It’s the little mower that COULD 🌟
I now have heard of Slasher Blades ⚡⚡
I second and third that...
No kidding, when i saw that i made eulogy for that lawn mower. This is size for a scythe.
Agreed
I won’t lie...thought about skipping ahead. But, not once I saw what was involved. Felt like the least I could do is stick in there with you! Unbelievable work ethic, guy! Amazing job!!
many thanks! :)
I second this. I'm a landscaper, and this guy is a beast! Good job!
Yep... ! Epic!
I never gave any thought to just speeding up the video. I'll keep that in mind so I can support my creators I follow.
@@heroicjello5360 I dont get how playing in 2x speed is any different then skipping forward? I skip forward but wonder how that is hurting the channel. Sorry i dont understand a lot of the stuff on youtube.
That is without doubt the most incredible experience I have ever witnessed on any grass cutting job yet. How you kept that up till the end is beyond my comprehension.
I feel the same about your awesome comment 😁
That was a lot of work! Great job!! I would like to know the stories of why people let their yards get so bad. I’m sure health and lack of money are two reasons. You are such a blessing to them!❤️
I would also add grief. In one year I lost my daughter, my mother, a sister in law and a mother in law (none of them were covid) and now 2 years later another sister in law is dying of pancreatic cancer. Just my daughter alone completely broke me. I lost the ability to care about ANYTHING and my own medical conditions impede my ability to do anything. So you never know what is happening in someone’s life. If you have a situation in your neighborhood and can help, knock on their door! Much love 💕🐝🇺🇸
So sorry for all your loss. Hugs.
@@amazinggrace5692 I am truly sorry for all of your losses. Losing your daughter had to be the worst pain ever. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
@@dlvb7890 Yes and I still cry every day and just as deep. Last week my aunt died and the sister of my heart has only days to live. I’m relying on music to help me stay afloat amidst these grief-filled 2-1/2 years. Besides my daughter, this sister in law has hit the hardest. I call her the sister of my heart because I have 4 brothers but no sisters. My brother divorced her but I never let her go! Much love 💕🐝💕🐞💕🇺🇸
Those are exactly the two reasons why I struggle to maintain my yard. I do manage to get it mowed and my hedges trimmed a few times a year, but it breaks my heart that I cannot do it justice, as it is a beautiful yard.
What a mess that was. What you needed was a herd of goats to clean that up. Lol
Ditto 🤣🤣🤣
goats would have been perfect:) all fenced and ready.
Yesss!!
I think maybe 2 herds of goats?😂
@@highcountryrob5534 problem with goats they eat EVERYTHING.
That little mower and weed eater deserves an award!! Man that was a tough looking yard. Great job Sir.
Many thanks Waylon
@@BladeMateLawnCare What brand was the mower? I was surprised at how small it seemed. Must be a powerful little brute.

@@BladeMateLawnCare I see. I bought a Victa battery-mower 21 inch and am very pleased with it. It's heavy but lots of grunt.
The weed eater was retrofitted to use the beard hairs of Chuck Norris.
You should win an award for this one! What a beastly yard! You must have the physical stamina of an ox, how do you manage to make it thru that bear of a yard AND have the strength to use the trimmer too? Simply amazing! I surely hope that people recognize your worth. You certainly have my vote!
This yard was next level. Good for you for taking it on and making it look so much better. The brown bottom layer of grass will green up nicely now that the sun can reach it!! And good for you for blocking all of the nonsense!
Hey Sean what Revs were your 2stroke Mower Doing & your 2stroke Brush cutter cheers Jake

Both your mower and whipper sniper are amazing, the amount of work you got done was great.
I never thought that I would enjoy watching yard clean up's. But, you have changed my mind. Thank You and may God Bless and strengthen you. From San Diego, CA USA
Awesome! Thank you!
Who said that there was no place left to discover on this earth?
Here's a man armed with only a mower, trimer and a camera enters a jungle and when it's all said and done he discovers a back yard with great potential. Well done.
THAT'S funny!
Wow, little did I expect a walkway and patio under that lawn. Incredible. Hats off to you.
Sean, you're an absolute legend mate. Good on you for everything you do to help others. So glad the pups have a place to run around in that yard now! Also that mower is a BEAST. Liked and subscribed from North QLD. Take care champ. PS your slogan should be "Choose your weapon, choose the blade"
Actually, watching you moving feels so relaxing and satisfying for me. No need to put it in 2x speed. Since the time I saw your channel and the way you clean the yard, I've been looking for your other or previous job and watch it one by one. You really do it so good, clean and tidy even it is for free.
Hard work is nothing to be ashamed of, you take pride in what you do and it shows. God bless!
not fire once that grass dries out it'll light up like California wild fires. there's so much and it's so thick.
My back hurts and I am out of breath just watching! WOW!
I just discovered your channel. Amazing transformation. I respect your decision on tools. Use what works for you. Not what someone sitting in the air conditioning thinks you need. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks and welcome
That was outstanding!!! Great job!!! The yard must have been very nice colorful with flowers, once upon a time. At least the pool wasn’t full of green water and cattails. It must be a real chore to keep a yard that big in perfect condition. I would never be able to manage, these people probably had health issues like me. We need more nice and caring people like you in this world. You are a knight in green armor, good sir!🤩😁🤗🫶
Just watched a man mowing for 35 minutes.. and enjoyed it 😂 we’ve all gone mad 😅 this guys working his rear off and all I could think of is I hope he cleans that damn pool 😂😂😂
LOL
I thought I was the only one!
At double time, too.
The grass was so tall the homeowner probably FORGOT he even had a pool!!
I was also hoping for a part 2 to see the pool side clean. I am thinking there shouldn't be any grass on that side of the fence.
He's like the Energizer Bunny, he keeps going and going. One trip down that lawn, and I'd have fell out.
BAHAHAHA 🤣
Take me at least a few days to do it... No stamina anymore for that much work.
Keep up the life-changing, amazing, and extremely hard work you are doing, Sean!!
This is very hard work and you did all by yourself. I am amazed.
Thank you Sean for sharing the video and I learn how to deal with the situation like this one.
This guy deserves a good citizen award for doing all of that work! my yard is a minuscule task compared to that and can't get anyone in this neck of the woods to take care of it for me. Keep up the good work mate!
Let me ask you this. Where would the world be (or even just these backyards) without people in your trade? We ALL need to appreciate you and thank you and I do. Thank you so much for everything you do and all of your kindness too. I see you😊✌️🌿✨
I know you had to feel good when you got done with this job with all the surprises you found underneath all that. Awesome hard work and a absolutely great work. Those mowers you use are great, there like the Eveready bunny! 👍

Thank you so much!
Amazing job. I did laugh that you ironically found a rake.
🤭🤭
Yeah looks like someone put in an ounce of effort about two years ago going by the level of growth.
I did a yard once where I found a whipper snipper in the grass halfway through. As though the last guy hadn't made it out
So did I and thought some attempt was made at the "gate" haha
You came. You saw. You kicked grass.😂

Sean. You are doing a great job and you are making a difference!! When you read the negative comments remember one thing, Happy people do not tear down others, they build them up. Be thankful you're not as unhappy as they are, Keep up the good work and God bless you.
Someone in the past really loved and took good care of this graden and took pride in it. Thanks for finding it again
There is something so rewarding doing hard work like that, reminds me of when I was a kid, my father had us working like that all day remodeling our home. We like you, were pouring sweat on our faces & through our clothes. Our youth today doesn't understand that.
Of course not! My bad! Bloody awesome.
Built up a fantastic cart of tools since and still have your enthusiasm and vision! Loved your work from the start and love that you have gone leaps and bounds. Never gave up. Were tough times. All accolades are well deserved!!

You are a miracle worker with a mower. I'm exhausted after just watching this, what a work out. The before and afters at the end were a great touch and the music choice had me laughing but you truly needed victory music, great choice. Really found this therapeutic to watch.
Just read your entire description above. I'm in shock that you would receive negative comments on a lawn channel. I've learned from you and always enjoy watchin your videos. I love the videos where you make a difference in someone's life by cutting their lawn. People with crazy yards are like hoarders. There is a point of no return and they just go deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of depression over it. It's people like yourself who step up that help these people see another possibility. Appreciation from the Heart.
Some other wannabe as good as him that probably never did such a Great Job unless it was well worth it or his own grass he probably don't even clean up the grass he cuts calls it done ! No edges done wo this grass is like a spring runs under it .That comment is for negative comment for a person sitting on there but dictating someone busting there's for money he should of got for this I d know what he got paid but this is over a 2000 dollar job for really I know what in pgh pa we pay just for a cut on a lawn that's kept up.on it's so tiny to let alone what he's doing is finding a lawn the wall way j can't believe that no one complained omg hear some one would call after the 1st rain lol but some people really think it's cheaper to do it 1 time or 2 it's not plus rodents snakes omg kids can't go.outside play in forest they might get lost
I love the fact that you are happy doing this job according to how you want and not being influenced by other peoples comments. Great job!👍
This one was intense for me to watch I know it was a difficult one to do I hope it’s kept maintained after all that hard work 😌👍

There is absolutely nothing wrong with running your business your way. If you are happy and don't feel the need to invest and expand, then just don't! I honestly wish we had more people in this world who were willing to put in the time and care that you take in your work. Too many people trying to to find out how to get more money with less work. Sometimes, it really is better for you, for your community and for the Earth to just go a little slower, do a good job instead of just an ok job and give back. We need more folks like you! I am just amazed! You evidently believe like my father always said, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Great work! It’s so good to see someone that cares.
That is exactly the way I was taught also, do the job & do it RIGHT!! "If you're only going to do the job 1/2 way, you might as well not start it!"
I love doing yard work and watching you do it, even at my age of 71, especially using curves and no straight lines in my yard!

What a transformation! I kept thinking that those lucky dogs are going to have allll that land to run around in now
Nature took its knitting needles to this yard and wove a tapestry of green disaster! Raking out the rake made me laugh myself out of my chair. Then I saw the garden hose. Mother nature dropped her knitting needles and put on the boxing gloves for that! You are amazing for not abandoning a lawn that others abandoned years ago. I enjoyed watching every second at normal speed. Cheers!
Just rewatched this one, I love your text on the screen about ride ons and naming the relics you found! But the best was the raw footage for those who love the sound of a two stroke engine! Is that a thing?!? You make me smile every time Sean, thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
I've just watched 35 minutes of someone mowing a lawn! Something enjoyable about it for those of us who are task orientated and enjoy a good clean up.
Am I the only one that keeps thinking “man those grass cuttings would be great for compost”
They truly would be great for compost. Or food for the rabbits! :)
Nope, you are not the only one lol
The council (probably, might depend on which town) takes those big green wheelie bins and turns them into a giant communal compost heap, then they sell you back the compost :) At least they do here: "city to soil".
Grass cuttings are acidic, so don't add too much to your compost heap
That or hugely kultures

They were such cuties
How did they get to the dogs to the pool? The grass was taller than them. Was there a path that I didn't notice?
I feel bad for them. It looks like they barely have some shade depending on the time of day and short snout dogs like that don’t do good in heat at all.
