hex Yes. Then take the square root of 96076 and if it's an even number, ignore it, if it's an odd number, add 5 to it, then take the lock spindle and put it on 0. Then hit it again with the book spine. Be sure to use precisely 19.437 lbs per square inch of force, then put the spindle on 1, and hit it again, remembering to use 19.437 lbs per square inch of force, now put it on 2, and repeat until you do all the numbers. I’ve watched a few videos and have combined the best methods. 1. The first number is clockwise resist plus 5. Rounding down works best, but either number should work. 2. The second number is usually a high number resist. 3. Try first then go to second number. Go down 4, then increments of 2 with pulls along the way. Usually opens. Trouble shooting: The 2nd and third number will both be positive or negative numbers. The first will be the alternative sign. If you are having trouble opening the lock, use the method in the video to find the 3rd number, which is usually correct. I go counterclockwise from zero because the 3rd is usually a low number. Find the 5 or so numbers with shackle pressure with the number in the center of the wiggle. 4 or so will have the same ending digit, such as 5. The different number, say 2 will stand out. If it’s even, the second number found by shackle pressure will be even. Or both will be odd. I’ve done this if two numbers for the second are possible. Vary the 1st digit by one. Haven’t been stumped yet. Be sure to watch the channels for THE LOCK PICKING LAWYER and BOSNIANBILL (recently retired). Get a Sparrows lock picking kit. Start with Masterlock key locks. Easily opened by raking (quick back and forth with a wavy pick). Most locks are easy to pick. Expensive locks, less so.
Watch a few combination lock videos. Mine steps are easier explanations. Get 3 cheap combination locks. Once you figure out the 3 you will be able to pick others in a couple of minutes.
"The second number is usually a high number resist." I never go with the preset number from the manufacturer. I always change mine upon purchase. Perhaps you have statistically proven yoru theory, when observing preset lock combos, but it would be difficult to qualify with randomly chosen numbers set by the lock purchaser. " The 2nd and third number will both be positive or negative numbers" I have never seen a "-" (negative) number on a combination lock. Did you mean the number will be odd or even? If so, that is correct, as your only choices are off or even.
Was about to throw away a couple of locks that I forgot the combinations for before I found this video. Took me a little longer than a minute (closer to 20 because I kept messing up the finger pressure) but I was able to crack them! Thanks!
The master lock featured in the video may or may not have a gate reset after a very hard pull, they often don't but it is a possibility. It's better to just not yank at it 60 times.
I bought a lock to use at the pool and then didn't use it for a couple months. Couldn't find the paper that came with it. I tried this and IT ACTUALLY WORKED. Amazing.
Two improvements: - When looking for the last number, you can stop after finding 25 (in general, after finding 3 numbers that are not all the same parity). The 3rd number is the one with different parity from the others. - If we name the 3 numbers of the combination lock C1, C2 and C3, they will always satisfy these congruences: C1 = C3 mod 4, and 2+C2 = C3 mod 4. In simpler terms, C1-C3 is always divisible by 4, and so is C2-C3+2. So, it's better to get C3 first, then use these congruences to verify C1 and C2. In this case, your 2nd number was probably 2, which is why you had a bit of resistance at the end. Interesting to see a mechanical padlock fall vulnerable to a cryptanalytic attack.
+NetRolller3D Great stuff! This can def be used to hone in on the numbers a little bit more to make sure the combo is perfect and not just close enough to get it open!
+Nicolás Bastos On the first point, he means you can generally stop as soon as you either find an odd number and two even numbers, or an even number and two odd numbers. The one that is different is the one you want. On the second point, if you subtract the third number from the first number you should get a number divisible by 4 (16 - 32 = -16 in this case). Similarly, subtracting the third number from the second and adding 2 should be divisible by 4 (2 - 32 + 2 = -28).
You messed up, one day someone else will watch the video and something really expensive will go missing and all your friends are gonna be like "oh it was probably that guy he knows how to break the codes on the lockers"
Thanks for this! I bought a lock and it literally came with the wrong combo in the packaging, but I used this and found the right combo so I can actually use the lock now :) Definitely took more than 60 seconds tho
I watched this and went out and bought a brand new lock to try this on. I opened the package without looking at the included combination. Followed along with the video, bam, lock opened first time. I was amazed.
I cracked one of those combo locks with a stethoscope back when I was a kid. I turned it really gentle with no pressure and listened for it to click in place. I remember getting it really fast too, like first or second try.
For those who are extremely frustrated that you still can't open your lock after watching this video (and many other videos), I feel your pain. I'd recommend opening the back of your lock. There are a couple UA-cam videos that provide a tutorial. My code was completely different than what this video provided me. For me, the only thing that was correct was the middle number. I spent MANY hours trying every combination with the first and last number, but turns out the first number was way off to begin with.
Lock won't open? I recommend lubricating with food grade penetrating oil (I use CRC brand at work) Then you spray out the lock real good with an air hose, including around the edges of the back panel. IMHO
Dang, never done anything like this in my life. I had this lock from an uncle of mine who passed away, and I have been trying to figure out what to do with it. Well now I can just use it. Thank you, worked like a charm!
Thanks for your video. After a few tries I was able to figure out a lost combo. Your method was the only one I got to work. Beats narrowing down to 100 or 80 possibilities. Thanks!
gotta say. I just got a brand new lock which was attached to another product to secure it and they didnt send me the combo. I coulda called and waited on customer service for an hour but i googled first. Followed this and literally had the combo within 3 mins. nice job. still works it seems.

Ha! I used this in school to take a necklace from my friends locker. He had bet me that I couldn't actually crack a combination lock like this. After a bit of practice on an old lock, I had it down to less than a minute. I got the necklace and was on to my next class before he even got to his locker. He had no idea how I did it. =3
GLORIA SHEEN I gave the necklace back. :/ It was just something he had put into his locker to see if i could take it before he got to his locker and unlocked it. That was years ago in 4th grade. Now im in 8th grade and can crack any lock on any locker I choose. Lucky for others, im not a thief. I just help out the janitors and whatnot when they have a lock they cant get open so they dont have to use bolt cutters and destroy the lock. Using this method, considering almost every lock on a locker is a combination masterlock, I can then give the person the combination to their lock again. I'm already years ahead of this method if that makes any sense. I have practiced and studied locksmithing/lockpicking so much now that i can unlock much more complex locks.
Gloire Eclat Oh, I forgot to tell you, if it was during school hours, it would have been much quicker for them to shim the lock with a piece of aluminum from an empty can of Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, ect. Less time means they were less likely to be caught. If I was trying to take something for real, shimming is also the method I would use.
GLORIA SHEEN Lockers are used to store books and anything you came to school with like bags, uniform, caps, PE kits and books. Wallets are used to store money but does that mean you should walk around with 1k in it in your back pocket. Also, why the fuck would you even bring something thats soo valuable to school?
Wow, it worked. Though I vaguely remembered the combo, it was like 5 years ago. I had a general idea of the numbers that helped me out, but the numbers I got definitely lined up. This is pretty sick.
oh haha interesting. 66 is for Mario Lemieux who is my favorite hockey player. Just needed some numbers to secure the username across platforms etc. haha.
+styles662 ok, now lets see you do that with a brand new lock out of a package, or take one lock from a pile of 20. Any less, and you would be able to memorize each lock. Anyone try this to see if it works?
+algol291 , this little trick has been around since I was a kid growing up during the 80's. It worked then, and it works now. I just cracked my lock that I lost the combo for. Bought it a couple years ago.
A cutting wheel & high speed gets the combination right twice in half the time! On a serious note, this is actually pretty complex. You should make a 30 min video explaining each step. Explaining the mechanics of why you do what you do. I'm a hands on type of guy but I like knowing why I'm doing steps as understanding why certain steps need to be taken make the learning process easier
Dude I hate when that happens. One time it was the opposite and my toaster was stuck in my brothers ass. We had a lot of fun plugging that bad boy in.🤣🤣🤣
Thank you because I work with people who steal from each other and you just helped them steal from me . Where is the thought process for people today ? You buy a lock to feel like your safe , now that’s out the window all thanks to you !!!!!!
I couldn't remember the first number of my combo and once I realized it was 26 by your method, the rest was easy, as I remembered the rest instantly. Thank you for your guide. Yo are a lock saver!
Bro! This shit worked on my first try! I’ve had an old lock and for the combination, and decided to just UA-cam it, your video was my first and last. Thanks man!!
John Howard I think you have to use locksmith tools. One basically is called a knife. Just a thin piece of spring steel with a handle. You insert that inside the lock just beside the wheels to find the "notch". Then you have to add a certain number to get to the number or letter. I think its usually 5 or near there. Not sure what type lock you are referring to. Assuming it is a type with individual wheels like locks on a briefcase.
A million years ago in middle school, I got in trouble in P.E. and was sent to the locker room. When my classmates came back, EVERY SINGLE lock was open. Easy peazy!!
You only really need to find the first two numbers. After you dial those in, all you have to do is turn the dial and tug on the shackle repeatedly. For a lock with only 40 combinations, you can easily find the number in 10 seconds.
For anyone wondering, this is not true and would not work. The resistance applied would move the other disks because they are all level with eachother.
But someone will know u were in their locker. I opened this idiot at schools locker and shit in it. If id used bolt cutters he wud have known something was up
Worked for me! Although instead of all the number hunting for the 3rd step, I put in the first two numbers and then went around pulling it until it opened for the third number. Thanks!!
just a little short-cut on the confusing last step... once you know the first two numbers, dial them in then apply upward pressure as you turn clockwise. when you get to the right number the lock will open
Yes, but it's not always handy to carry a pair of bolt cutters around in your pocket, and you don't always have them handy when you realize you forgot your combo....or other incidents come to pass. Bolt cutters also ruin the lock, and leave a very clear sign that someone has been there, which isn't always a good thing. And what do you do with the bolt cutters later? "I don't know who robbed that place! I just carry these big heavy bolt cutters around in my backpack all the time for no reason". Or is it "damn it, I forgot the combination to my locker! Well, it's a good thing I thought that might happen and have been carrying these bolt cutters around in my backpack all month just in case I forgot my combo". Writing the number on a piece of paper and putting it in your wallet is lame. Or you can save the pretty girl who forgot her combo; imagine how impressed she'll be when you say "no problem, I can handle that!" and pull out a 18" pair of bolt cutters? It's more interesting to do it this way, and good to know for when you CAN'T find any cutters.
A lot of Master combination locks use even or odd numbers for the combination and rarely mix them. So the combination of your lock is either; 16-0-32 or 16-2-32 Also many Master combinations have two numbers that end with the same digit, so 16-2-32 is the more likely combination but not always.
Seems sometimes subtracting 5 instead of adding 5 for the 2nd number works. Thanks. Also rounding up or adding 1 more digit helps and holding down the shackle when putting in the full combo may help for some locks.
I hope this works for people but it is not easy. It must take alot of practice. I appreciate the video and I think the guy honestly thinks people can figure this out but he is very experienced.

I am a bit confused bro.
This is what got it figured out for me, thanks man!
Watch a few combination lock videos. Mine steps are easier explanations. Get 3 cheap combination locks. Once you figure out the 3 you will be able to pick others in a couple of minutes.
"The second number is usually a high number resist."
I never go with the preset number from the manufacturer. I always change mine upon purchase. Perhaps you have statistically proven yoru theory, when observing preset lock combos, but it would be difficult to qualify with randomly chosen numbers set by the lock purchaser.
" The 2nd and third number will both be positive or negative numbers"
I have never seen a "-" (negative) number on a combination lock.
Thanks!
Thats awesome but probly should throw them away and get better locks lol.
It's called non destructive entry. Also it takes 7 minutes to describe how to do it not to actually do it if your practiced.

Why bother with the third number everyone knows after you enter in the 1st two numbers, you just turn and pull on the shackle until it opens

I love girl criminals.
You don't have to find the last number--after dialing the first two, just keep dialing one space at a time and pulling, and it will eventually open.
The master lock featured in the video may or may not have a gate reset after a very hard pull, they often don't but it is a possibility. It's better to just not yank at it 60 times.
@@pure_zed should have read that reply before listening to this comment and doing exactly what it told me to😀
I bought a lock to use at the pool and then didn't use it for a couple months. Couldn't find the paper that came with it. I tried this and IT ACTUALLY WORKED. Amazing.
Two improvements:
- When looking for the last number, you can stop after finding 25 (in general, after finding 3 numbers that are not all the same parity).
This can def be used to hone in on the numbers a little bit more to make sure the combo is perfect and not just close enough to get it open!
wait, can you explain this better, I don't understand
+Nicolás Bastos On the first point, he means you can generally stop as soon as you either find an odd number and two even numbers, or an even number and two odd numbers. The one that is different is the one you want.
On the second point, if you subtract the third number from the first number you should get a number divisible by 4 (16 - 32 = -16 in this case). Similarly, subtracting the third number from the second and adding 2 should be divisible by 4 (2 - 32 + 2 = -28).
Os this common core math? lol jk.
for the third number, i just pull on the shackle constantly while rotating the dial clockwise. lazy lol
After much trial and error, I successfully did it. I could kiss you right now (for saving me $4 whole dollars :)

Can you send a link to the tutorials mentioned? I can’t find them

GLORIA SHEEN Are you also the same moron that would leave $100 in your wallet and cry to the cops when it gets stolen?
GLORIA SHEEN Lockers are used to store books and anything you came to school with like bags, uniform, caps, PE kits and books. Wallets are used to store money but does that mean you should walk around with 1k in it in your back pocket. Also, why the fuck would you even bring something thats soo valuable to school?
GLORIA SHEEN O.o chill out with the caps lock dude...
Wow, it worked. Though I vaguely remembered the combo, it was like 5 years ago. I had a general idea of the numbers that helped me out, but the numbers I got definitely lined up. This is pretty sick.
Most of the time they are all even or all odd but the number can be off by about 1.5 and it will still unlock albeit a little resistently.

On a serious note, this is actually pretty complex. You should make a 30 min video explaining each step. Explaining the mechanics of why you do what you do. You dont literally add the three numbers. You try the combination of them to open the lock.
not yet can you send a link to it? ill have to buy one.
Assuming it is a type with individual wheels like locks on a briefcase.

he did say....
when you know what you are doing...

Stole my neighbors dog with this. Thanks!
Gotta love them 8 minute long 60 second videos!

Bolt cutters or 2 pipe wrenches would literally unlock the master lock in seconds.

Ahhh it was already confusing enough
I usually use a bolt cutter
*BUT THIS WORKS TOO*
Yes, but it's not always handy to carry a pair of bolt cutters around in your pocket, and you don't always have them handy when you realize you forgot your combo....or other incidents come to pass.
A lot of Master combination locks use even or odd numbers for the combination and rarely mix them. So the combination of your lock is either;
16-0-32
or
16-2-32
Also many Master combinations have two numbers that end with the same digit, so 16-2-32 is the more likely combination but not always.
Thank you! Thank you!
This technique worked very well with a little fiddling. Saved me a big headache!
pov: you got your lock from back when covid wasn't a thing and now your trying to figure out the password
Seems sometimes subtracting 5 instead of adding 5 for the 2nd number works. Thanks. Also rounding up or adding 1 more digit helps and holding down the shackle when putting in the full combo may help for some locks.
Mine worked when I subtracted 5 from the first digit and hit the second one dead on. I guess it helps to play around with it a bit?
Too bad this is for entertainment purposes only... I really want to try it 😂
I hope this works for people but it is not easy. It must take alot of practice. I appreciate the video and I think the guy honestly thinks people can figure this out but he is very experienced.
