Look at their appearances on the Edd Sullivan show.

One of the greatest comedy duos of all time. Their Christmas specials were brilliant. Big stars of the time would queue up to get on them. Don't get anything like that nowadays.

My Dad used to do that to us as kids in the 60s. Come to think of it, it was the only trick he knew. But paper bags were cheap.🙂

If you're not familiar with the interviewer, remember Richard Nixon. That's David Frost.

@@ChadeoYT David helmed a weekly satirical show in the early 60s called 'That Was The Week That Was'. There will undoubtably be clips from the series on UA-cam somewhere and TW3 spawned many later shows. You could say TW3 was the dawn of serious televisual political satire. Sixty years ago. That's as old as me! Good heavens!

@@ChadeoYT David also introduces a clip where you have the Beatles performing 'Hey Jude' amidst a throng of enthusiastic audience members - including a homeless man who was invited in to participate and is the elderly man with flowers in his hair.

@@ChadeoYT Come to think of it. That "elderly" man might have been younger than I am now! Ulp!
